See! This is super useful to see. It is encouraging to see so little piled up on the sell side considering the damn valley we are currently in. But to honor our lone dissenter I have reduced the sizes in the quote to teensy-weensie. Wait. That sounded like something JJG would say. Uh oh... something might have gotten stuck down in there.
Unfortunately when the walls stack like that, it often means we're due to move into the high (lower) side. The sells don't pile up, they just eat into the buy side (and vice versa when fortunes are flipped). It does explain why bounce-backs tend to be a bit easier though. |

you could say the crackdown on Chinese mining is good for BTC as this will reduce the carbon footprint. They use mostly coal fired power plants. Now the rest of the world pics up China's slack with more energy efficient grids. Next there will newly designed miners ( probably in the works now) that will dramatically reduce power usage while increasing computation abilities.
A lot of the Chinese mining has been using unallocated hydropower for a long time. It allows for building infrastructure that can be used before it is needed for the purposes it is ultimately destined for. |

Probably not. But how is Chartbuddy to know what is considered interesting? Bear in mind that this is the wall observer thread and not the price observer* thread (though you might be forgiven for not knowing that these days) and that anything older than an hour is already stale news. *And as others have suggested, if you want price history, sites like bitcoinity already provide that well. |

I'm thinking this might be the way to do things with the posts. If nobody posts, CB just adds to his previous post (though it would be nice if the forum did this kind of thing automatically). It would still be more than some would like but it would help to prevent "wall of ChartBuddy"s during slow periods. |

By the way, getting back to price discussion a bit.. sure, I understand that the price could go either way..,. but to me, it seems that we are largely in rebounding mode, currently. I personally would like to suggest that if we do get more DOWNity from here, then likely some of the motivation for that would be to really beat up on some of the shitcoins. they deserve to be beat up quite a bit, especially after the amount of pumpening pure crap had been seeing in the past couple of weeks.
As long as we are not back in something like that never-ending bear market we had before where any long, slow upward gains at all were always answered with a quick tumble but the general outlook was a perpetual slump. Could be though. |

Central is a huge timezone. When I worked for a national company, seemed like I was always talking to people on Central. It goes all the way to the very west of texas except for the very tip of the west of the state which caused me some hassle a while back. |

Agree. And I do not think counting multiples from a single source is fair. Just an aggregate of unique posters. I did give 10 merits. So I am speaking against any advantage given by that. But I also see it as worth 10 merits. I understand not everyone feels it, but I thin CB is a strong net positive.

Don't merit back... this kind of merit "trading" is usually frowned upon since merit is supposed to be used for good posts, not to pay someone back. Come to think of it, even voting via merit is kinda sketchy but at least those yes/no posts could arguably be considered "good". Haha, you all fell for my huge merit-harvesting scam! J/K. Just didn't want people out of merits on this. Chartbuddy has plenty of merits to spare too. Merits only get half-credits as well so it's not zero sum. I went for merits because they actually have some (marginal) value and I think voting tends to work best when people have skin in the game. |
