can someone please post a bat file for equihash ? do I use ccminer or ewbf miner? please post batfile example because my ccminer has no equihash algo
Code:
equihash.exe --server equihash.mine.zpool.ca --user %ADDY% --pass c=BTC,equihash,stats --port 2142 --eexit 3
using ewbf.

Left value is current profit at current luck.

Right value is last 24 hour average of all profit I believe.

[2017-06-28 23:06:19] Stratum connection failed: Failed to connect to x11.mine.zpool.ca port 3533: Connection refused
[2017-06-28 23:06:21] ...retry after 30 seconds

I am also experiencing stratum connection problems.

Same.

Could be a be a network problem at his host;  DDOS, etc.  I am seeing it on the skien port.

Ive been getting hits and misses the past little bit today.   And now its back.    Seems to dip out for 1-2 min then come back.

This makes me wonder how well the new nvidia dies with 4x 1060's on em will manage Wink

I am not expanding or buying cards for now.  going to gather coin and what for an upgrade path.

Agreed.... now is the slumptime to hold and be patient.    I am going to keep watching CL for cheap 1070's and reasonable 1060's...   I was seeing EVGA 1060's for $200 all day long on the shelf before people started gouging the price and realizing how well the altmarket was doing.  If I can see them for ~160-180;  Ill be buying them most likely.  Same if I see 1080's for < 400 or 1070's for < 300.

This makes me wonder how well the new nvidia dies with 4x 1060's on em will manage Wink

if a modest 6x1070 can do 650w ..... with the 1060 mining editions coming out soon... mining community will double without saying.... AMD will not know what hit them.... suddenly team green become king of crypto cards... interesting times

Like Phil... I think we better hold on to any big GPU purchases.... they will be a BIG FLOOD of 1060's soon below 200 bucks (according to NVIDIA).... there is also a 1080 mining edition in the works.

Also.... I think there is something brewing in the Claymore ETH camp..... for the first time ethminer, sgminer etc. became top news again because of the improvements in their codes for NVIDIA cards.... so I think the ZEC path should be a good one, plus 1 or 2 more alts....

Exactly.   I think even ATI has stated they arent doing cards for the reasons of crypto or deep learning.   Maybe they will change their strategy; especially when ETH goes POS.

I wonder how long people have been witting on these "improvements" that are just now hitting the public.    My guess is quite some time.  My irk with miners that have built in fees;  the fee typically ends up eating up most of the value of upgrading to the new efficient miner....    I have yet to mine with a feed' miner;  (that I know of)

1446  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NEMOSMINER multi algo profit switching NVIDIA miner on: June 28, 2017, 07:37:59 PM
Thanks for program, but i have some newbie question.
I used to mine with Nicehash and my profit was about 0.0044 (2 x 1080 TI) and now I'm mining with Nemos-miner, but for some weird reason profit on zpool site is lower than that, because it is 0.0039 BTC.
To be honest it's really strange, because according to benchmark profit should be at least 0.005-0.006 BTC per day.

Is it something wrong with zpool site?
Cheers.

The profitability of mining goes down every day as difficultly increases, you should expect to make less money with each passing week.

The only fair way to compare services would be too mine on each with identical hardware during the same time frame.  Most altcoins are ridiculously volatile and it's hard to account for that when comparing nicehash one week and zpool/mininpoolhub the other.

I'll also add that with nemosminer the only factors in deciding which coin to mine are the current price relative to btc and your hashrate.   hashrate is constant, but as i mentioned above, price is very volatile.  The time it takes to mine a block, wait for it to mature, and exchange for btc can take long enough that the price may have plummeted in the meantime (or if you're lucky skyrocketed).  So predicted income is exactly that, predicted.

Yeah I know that. I took the value 0.0044 from past 24 hours (https://www.nicehash.com/?p=calc), but I guess that is not the case.
Of course I'm not saying that Nemosminer is bad or something, because I really like idea of this tool and author of this program did amazing work. I'm just saying that my profit is way lower than benchmark in this program. I know it may be hard to hit the values from benchmark, but my values are way lower. Personaly i think difference is too big.
And I don't know where is the problem, because program is working constantly without crashes, my hashes looks good...
Here is what my Last 24 Hours Balance looks like, just for reference:

remember: the benchmark is based on yeaterday's news in a sense.

And if yesterday was declining;  you can only logically expect today to decline as well, so never ever ever expect to hit your expected return.

Instead;  expect to get a gauge on how things went between algos 24 hours ago, and take a chance it will stay ok or do better the next day.

Rely on nothing past that when it comes to calculating profitability.

For everyone;  if you are going to run a test to compare;  split hashrate between two sources and run the identical hashrates on both sides for the same exact period of time; and you will get the closest answer you can get to a real world figure.  Now; the variation between the two will also be swayed a greater amount than normal by "luck", which will be less and less perceivable when the pool's hashrate is larger....
1447  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GTX 970 All the sudden drops to 3 MHs after running a month on: June 28, 2017, 07:31:02 PM
do an ASIC quality test (google search).

check nvidiainspector to see the p-state and current clocks its using when you see the low hashrate.

Theres also an app that allows you to see how many failed calculations/errors it has while mining, but I am unfamiliar, and have only see a screenshot of its results once, so I can't help much there.   It was able to show a guy's card that would put out 21Mh, but 30% of those or more were pure errors.....  which explained his poolside hashrate of <10Mh.

Anyone mind providing me with the bat config to mine DGB on the Skein algo.
It's been awhile since I've configurated a bat file and tweaked it.

What miner do you guys recommend running with?
Going to give blockfactory a try, unless someone has a better recommendation.

My signature.  Check the link Wink. Batch link.

Jaredkaragen.  I relise you might be a very busy person.  But you link is ultra confusing to most people.  It wasn't until I knew what I was doing that I figure it out. Everytime you refered to your link I clicked it and got confused.  Honestly it would be faster to just post a basic bat file to get the average person going.  Your batch file is for advanced users,  and honestly clickign on it when I was new really really really put me off the whole deal.  Now I appreciate it ALOT. But if you are asking for basic info your link is not great unless it has changed.

here is my super basic bat files

:START
ccminerAlexis78.exe -a skein -o stratum+tcp://skein.mine.zpool.ca:4933 -u 1NAr74hNRJjyNrdqWyAJigxToAo3y5dPJV.3x1080ti -p c=BTC,skien,stats
goto start

I understand;  there are several versions of the batch; and as well, there is a LOT of other information that's quite relevant to mining on zpool or a similar pool in those links.

also;  on this thread, as well as the zpool thread; there's the same answer(s) repeated over and over again for your very questions; which all of them were answered in different parts of my link... which I do understand is a little confusing.

But in my link; the manual control (select your algo) would have been the first thought for what you would pick;  wherein you would only need to have a word in a file available on the net (which i have provided as skien ATM as the post states) and simply fill in your BTC address at the top of the batch to get going....

Yeah;  ill admit i have been stupid busy these last two weeks.  I haven't even been home for quite some time because I am house sitting a bunch of animals 100 miles away... and I wont be home again until monday or maybe sunday.

If you need assistance, I am a PM away.

no, that's just perception.

the dow is just a collection of stocks measured as a sum; same as nasdaq....  a group for commodity and one for industry I believe.
1450  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Fourth alt coin thread last three got oversized. on: June 28, 2017, 04:43:14 AM
MAN, today was a ruff day.. barely made $5/card on my 1080ti's
Someone was really expecting some algo to be magic money today;  Watched ~300Gh sit on skien for a few hours and vanish....  Did some strange things to the diff for that period of time... not enough time for it to recover and be more consistent.

Its now ~73Gh on poolside and back to normal seeming profitability.    I personally continued to mine when profitability on skien dipped under 0.002mBTC/Mh, so this profitability currently doesn't scare me.

I swear;  hashrates above a certain amount in a pool produce less profitable results.  Amount somewhat depends on the value of your dividend, and network hashrate.

I see it often.....

But look guys;  we were talking about this correction happening 2 months ago when it all started.....   It was an excellent and profitable ride for me; and continues to be.

I see GPU prices declining once people understand how things are going to be (and are) in the real world.  I'm still rather salty about how the GPU prices jumped just because of the recent profitability;  even though the manufacturer lowered its price.  I am finally starting to see $400 1070's hit CL again.  This is good in my eyes.

Right click my computer choose properties
Click advanced settings.

Find tab with virtual memory.

Set, apply, then ok.

Do a google search my friend.  Very simple easy to find answer.

problem with doing that and leaving equihash in the password string is the pool still can try and switch you to it;  when its not connecting....  unless the stratum not connecting only happens after its been mining equihash for a bit..... then it could be a viable solution.
1455  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Fourth alt coin thread last three got oversized. on: June 25, 2017, 09:51:45 PM
I'm going to test using them with gtx1080tis at first then possibly some gtx1060s, I was told you can only get 4 running on x16 slots only and 2 on x8 and x4 slots....still need to play with this.....

If I can get this running, my next step is to test it on micro workstations....you can pickup refurbished dell/hp micro workstations with 1 x16 and 2 x1slots for $75-100....allowing the use of 6 gpu.

Then this would allow me to further expand on my current dell workstations I'm using, which have 2 x16, and 2 x1 slots, would possibly allow me to run 8-10 gpu off these refurbished computers I'm using

Storx, can you let me know the markings on the main chip for your splitter?  Assuming they didn't sandpaper it off.

Im curious as to what chip they are using on that model.

I plan to be getting together with my father who is a hardware engineer; to design a project Wink

Hey bud, i looked over the chips.. it seems that all the markings have been removed and some have what appears to be black epoxy on them painted..

yep... figures... lol   Thanks for checking Wink
1456  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NEMOSMINER multi algo profit switching NVIDIA miner on: June 25, 2017, 09:49:09 PM
Settings... are you serious? The only thing you have to do to get this running is to put your BTC address in the bat file.

No one is going to tell you how much you should OC your card. There are so many Nvidia gpus out there, minerx117 isn't going to
test every nvidia gpu for the perfect OC setting. Even Claymore and EWBF miner do not tell you how much to OC your card.
This is stuff you figure out yourself.

This is a great project, thanks for your contribution minerx117.

: )

Double quoted for a realistic perspective on how true this is.

Anything dealing with OC is always needing to be done on a per-rig, and possibly per-card basis as even the same GPU with one number different in the serial can have a different quality asic than the previous and the next.....   on top of countless other factors.

These miner scripts are a huge leap forward in getting started and staying mining easily compared to lets say a year ago.  Most new people start to take it for granted and just want the "easy money".   And you don't realize how easy it is at this point comparatively......

1457  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: █▓▒░-< [ZPOOL.CA][HashTap™][FlexFee™] The miners multipool >-░▒▓█ on: June 25, 2017, 02:02:32 AM
The height of the red rejects is on a different scale than the rest of the graph.   I've noticed that even 1 or 2 rejected shares will create a very large spike on the graph even though it is only a couple rejected shares.

Still something that should be investigated if possible

It's simple.  Hashrate makes the graph 0-2gh let's say.   the rejects are a flat 0-100 scale.  I think the vertical scale is staying matched with the hashrate display instead of its own 0-100%.
1458  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NEMOSMINER multi algo profit switching NVIDIA miner on: June 24, 2017, 09:14:52 PM
I'm getting a lot of "GPU #0: result for 0293236d does not validate on CPU!" when mining hmq1725.

Any idea why that is?
it means your gpu is spitting back invalid calculation results and they did not validate when double checked on the CPU.

disable overclocks and set factory settings and see if it still happens.
1459  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Fourth alt coin thread last three got oversized. on: June 24, 2017, 08:44:07 PM
Awesome... yeah... actually, you can set your gpu fan % manually via the commandline...

Code:
...\nvidiainspector\nvidiaInspector.exe -setFanSpeed:0,80
Set fan speed on card 0 to 80%
