1441  Other / Off-topic / Re: What % of your Assets is Bitcoin? on: July 24, 2016, 11:57:36 AM
So what percentage of your total monetary and financial investments are in Bitcoin?

What do you think is a smart balance to have?

only considering online investment and also earning i have to say completely in bitcoin. but in general i am invested a little more than 60% in bitcoin. and i think that is the smart balance that i am maintaining (or at least it is smart for me)
1442  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [2016-07-22] Ethereum Price Skyrockets After Hardfork And Coinbase Integration on: July 24, 2016, 11:49:15 AM
Another pump attempt here. Cheesy
All I see is -6% in this moment and Ethereum Classic's token ETC being able to trade on Poloniex!
This coin and the hardfork is nothing less then pure desaster.
Short it, pump it, dump it.That's all it's good for.

the hard fork is always a bad idea, and in case of ethereum i feel like the did it so fast and so prematurely and it may hurt the coin in the near future pretty bad.
this is actually one of the reason that whenever there is a talk of fork in bitcoin community goes nuts over it. because it is bad!
1443  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice Limits number of faucet claims in a day on: July 24, 2016, 11:41:24 AM
it is understandable if they put a limit to the number of claims you can make per day because there has been so many abuses in the past from people who were farming the faucet to earn free bitcoin!

but to limit it to once per day that much be either a bug or someone else from your IP has exhusted the faucet Cheesy
1444  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] How often do you play with extra high payouts (like x9998) ? on: July 24, 2016, 11:37:29 AM
to answer your first question i should say yeah, why not?!
people like taking high risks and have the chance of winning a lot so i think you should add it to your site. and to prevent huge loss on your end the casinos usually put a max amount that people can win so for example with 9998x you can't place a 10BTC bet!

and to your second question, i played the high payout for a while but i got bored because all i could see was red all day with no win because the chance is always low.
1445  Other / Off-topic / Re: bitcoin affects life a lot on: July 24, 2016, 11:33:19 AM
bitcoin, just like any other currency or money in general, can surely affect your life a lot. if you spend all your time earning it and in the end earn a little amount that doesn't covor your expenses you will have a shitty life but if you spend little time and earn a lot then enjoy the money you got, then you have a enjoyable life.
1446  Economy / Economics / Re: How can you earn 5% interest daily on your bitcoins? on: July 24, 2016, 11:30:32 AM
it is possible to make that much but in order to do that you will need a good business that is thriving already, so you can make that kind of profit from your business but if you just want to start making a profit then no it is not possible because you have to grow into it, and surly this is not possible over night.
1447  Economy / Economics / Re: I have 12 BTC in my Account, How should I invest this?? on: July 24, 2016, 11:25:51 AM
If i have 12 btc i will save the half and the other half i will invest it in a strong altcoin. The btc save i will only sell it after 4 years. And the 6 remaining will be my capital for trading and investing.

this is a good suggestion and good traders can make a lot of profit this way with 6BTC but if you are new like OP here or if you have little experience in altcoin trading then goingin with nearly $4000 is not a wise decision to make.
1448  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is a big business??? on: July 24, 2016, 11:20:19 AM
if you hold your Bitcoins then increase the price and if you used bitcoins in investment

"Investing in Bitcoin" is a madness.
Study how is made the value of currency.

In this way "Buying Bitcoins" for "storing" them will give You no profit, it the exchange rate goes down against the $ or Euro.
Why You call Buying a currency as "Business"Huh

If you hold the bitcoin since 2011, the price should have risen many times. So it is a very good profit to be made.

if you have been holding bitcoin since 2011 without selling it, then there is only two possible scenarios:

1) you don't care about the price or care about bitcoin as an investment and you are only interested in it as a technology and as a currency.

2) you are an idiot who missed an opportunity to sell, make a profit and buy back again 10 times more bitcoin at the bottom. rinse and repeat.
1449  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Random guy asks you about this internet money BITCOIN on: July 24, 2016, 11:17:28 AM
first of all, i am not gonna answer some random dude on the street who randomely asks me about bitcoin Smiley besides youtube can do the job so much better and easier than i can do in either a couple of sentenses or an hour of talking.

but i like two definitions for bitcoin that i think describes bitcoin the best in short: peer to peer money, and a public ledger.
1450  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: actual number of people using Bitcoin? on: July 24, 2016, 11:12:06 AM
Well we dont know how many users from globe uses bitcoins, but as per statistics from Blockchain we can assume that certain millions of people use bitcoins. Here is chart of statistics of unique bitcoin addresses generated on blockchain alone. There are other platforms of wallets as desktop, apps, hardware and web out of all I am just exploring web based wallets statistics.

Data showing below is for duration of all time.

this image shows the number of "used addresses" and it has nothing to do with number of people using bitcoin and i don't think you can even guess the number of people using bitcoin from this.

because many people are using wallets that are generating a new address as you spend bitcoin, meaning they (as satoshi has suggested) use each address only once so one person who has been using bitcoin for a year or so has used hundreds of addresses already.
1451  Other / Off-topic / Re: When was the first time you bought bitcoin? on: July 24, 2016, 11:07:15 AM
i bought my first (portion of ) one bitcoin last year at the time of despair and no rise when the price was so low and eveybody was crying over it Smiley although i wish i could' have bought bitcoin back when it was $10 but i am still satisfied with buying it at $200
1452  Economy / Economics / Re: The dream of getting rich with bitcoins on: July 21, 2016, 04:26:30 PM
Maybe not to get rich, but sure as hell to earn a decent amount of money with bitcoins.

How much money did you earn with bitcoins? Or did you lose some?

I don't think that bitcion itself gives the opportunity to earn you a huge amount of money... Of course, fast emerging currency sounds pretty inspirational, but I think that the amount of money you EARN depends on how much you WORK, but not on the way you get paid for your job.

yes and no.
it is possible that bitcoin goes mainstreem and become so popular over the next year and untill the end of 2016 till mid 2017 price reaches the moon literary. so there is an opportunity to get rich with bitcoin.

but also you can not be sure about this so you have to think more realistically and based on what you have seens so far from the price and the changes. that is why i kinda agreeing with you that you have to earn more with working to become rich with bitcoin.
1453  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will never reach $700 again on: July 21, 2016, 04:20:24 PM
Maybe but will reach 650$ maybe even in April than we can talk next but move to dollar will be not rates rise
dollar will lose not to euro but to gold and btc
The Bitcoin is going to reach $700 again I am sure of that it is even going to happen at the next rise so I be ready if you want to sell for $700.
I am going to wait for the price to rise even beyond $700 then I will sell some coins.

i think in the near future there is either a big rise which will get past $700 so quick that you can't even act on selling anything and price will go much higher in a short time.

or there will be another wierd market and price will play jumprope with $700 going above and below it for some time and then the rise happens.
1454  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin ever goes mainstream on: July 21, 2016, 04:13:00 PM
Bitcoin is programmed to become increasingly scarce every four years, via block reward halving.

Just that alone renders it a viable option for those looking for an effective store of value. Forget the day/weekly/monthly volatility. Short term volatility means nothing if the thing that you're trading has 'PROGRAMMED' restriction of issuance.
If Bitcoin would go mainstream then that means that it goes really good with Bitcoin and that most of the people now at least what Bitcoins is.
I am not sure if that is going to happen but you never know which way Bitcoin is going to go.

Majority of people will start using bitcoin in future but I don't think that bitcoin can ever go mainstream as there are many haters of bitcoin which will never let it happen.

Yeah and I think that Government will never it happen as they don't have control on it and if it happens people will not value any government too.
well governments dont have any control over bitcoins though they can just release a law that would ban using bitcoins and people wouldnt start buying it at all

i think baning bitcoin or releasing some law agains usage of bitcoin will only affect businesses and merchants not people, because they will continue using bitcoin since it is a global currency and it will continue having value and you can still use it to transfer money oversees.
1455  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: KickAssTorrent is down, any blockchain-centric torrent site/tech? on: July 21, 2016, 04:08:07 PM
Got the thread up on the NXT forums:
https://nxtforum.org/nxt-projects/nxtorrents/

this news was the worst thing i got for a long time but seeing this made me happy again. it would be awesome if such project could work well and without problem especially with no problem with DMCA which is always shutting down these torrents.

This is a juicy thread.

Rip kickass.to

Hail nxt torrents?

you are too old, the official address was kat.cr for a very long time Cheesy
1456  Economy / Economics / Re: is bitcoin can be a fiat money? on: July 21, 2016, 03:57:56 PM
I don't think so, we are going to be seeing governments opposing to bitcoin because they cannot control it. So it's either they oppose it or they stay totally neutral to it. But they will not give up to the control of the currency, and they cannot do this with bitcoin.

Yeah bitcoin can never be a fiat money and it can never replace it too, as each and every country have their own currency and they will only support it .

i think OP doesn't know what fiat means and he is using fiat money wrong. and since he posted the link to that US presidential candidate news i think he means becoming more used like fiat.
and in that case i agree with it because bitcoin will grow more and become more popular but government will not support bitcoin ever so it can not replace fiat completely.
1457  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: bitcoin trading :) on: July 20, 2016, 02:05:46 PM
guys i just wana ask if someone here knows how to play bitcoin trading? and what is the legit site for it? thnx in advance
If you want to do trade with bitcoin and a number of altcoins then I will suggest you to join Yobit,as at there you will find about all the available coins, and that site is much easy to start trading and easy to understand.
yeah yobit is good, but a lot nicer than yobit and has a greater trading volume as poloniex and bittrex. I always use these two sites.

yobit is not good at all. there is too many unsatisfied people about that exchange site. so many people with their coins stuck and with their tickets unanswered for months.

in my opinion as long as there are excellent services like bittrex and poloniex for altcoins and kraken for bitcoin trading there is no need for a problematic exchange like yobit.
1458  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt coins worth buying on: July 20, 2016, 01:59:41 PM
Just stick with Lisk!

should i put 2 btc on this?

I would, price will go 10x,20x maybe even higher within a year. They have nine million dollars from ICO waiting to be released for development,a great team and Charles Hoskinson as an adviser.

I don't know if LISK can really go to the moon but I actually like the project and like the developers team working on it. and as a trader when I see the stable price with high daily volume and all those other signs of accumulation I get super excited because there will be some big rise in the future.
Lisk is a good investment and I like its current price now because it is very stable and just waiting for more investment, the volume is great and I believe it is will rise in the future and for me now is the right time to buy and hold it.

I agree with that. Lisk is super stable right now, 40k sat is probably hard bottom before the pump comes. Just wait till devs start using ICO funds to develop the project. I predict 200K sat in couple months.
So you really think that they have not started developing LISK? I think they are already doing it but the news has not yet published, by the moment there is a major announcement of Lisk that would be the time that the pump will start.

it is not only about the new developement in LISK but also it is about this healthy price.
LISK could keep up the high trade volume and a fixed price above 40K satoshi for a long time. so i am sure there will be a big rise in near future.
1459  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is happening? on: July 20, 2016, 01:54:48 PM
Everyone was expecting a very high price increase during the block halving period. But nothing happened, the price left hanging at the same price range. What happened, are you expectin that it will maybe rise soon?

people expect a lot of things out of bitcoin and they say a lot of other things about it even some things that doesn't even makes sense like crap like this:
What is happening is everyone is waiting for that price rise that isn't coming. Once people start realizing there will be no rise the prise will plummet towards 200-300. We will see from there but i suspect by then the network will be severely crippled by all the miners quitting, stagnating the network as a result.

so you see not all the things you read on the forum is true. and many users are only saying things that suites their situation that time and want to spread some lies for their own temporary advantage.
1460  Economy / Speculation / Re: End of the 2016 - BTC Price Prediction on: July 20, 2016, 01:50:13 PM
We are going to see 1000$ for Bitcoin by August and 1500 $ by the end of 2016. Once we break the resistance of 688 $ Bitcoin will shoot at 1000 $ quickly just need to look at the chart. We had expectation of huge rise which is at hold and anytime can breakout  this increase at sudden. Once we are above 1k $ next step will be 1.5k$ for end of this year.
The price is already struggling to reach $700, I think it can reach a maximum of $1000 by the end of 2016 that too is very hard, sure it will reach $800.

It did cross $700 before the halving, but seems to be under consolidation now.
We are in no hurry.

that was a very sudden rise that obviously needed a correction to come after it. hence the stable $650+ price now.

and yeah, there is no hurry because whales are in hyurry since they are accumulating bitcoin at cheap prices for the next round of rises.
