His results were good, indeed, but any comparison sats<->tickets has not much sense, as you may only spend your sats to buy tickets. Maybe one day we would have an option to sell GT or lottery tickets, I believe even with the price 1/2 or 1/5 many people would be interested in that.

I don't think the Freebitcoin team would ever add the option of allowing users to sell golden and weekly tickets because that would negatively affect the profit of the project. Moreover, participating in lotteries on the site would become hopeless for many users because the whales would be able to buy a huge number of tickets for cheap, thus increasing their chances of winning both the weekly lottery and the Lambo lottery.

Yeah right. Even I don't think we will ever see an option to sell lottery tickets or GT tickets.
I guess these tickets must be generating the most profit for freebitco.in.
Besides that, getting these tickets for free at least will make us eligible for a big win if we are lucky.
Selling them would just decrease our chances anyway.
1442  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where is your bitcoin balance at the end of the year? on: December 30, 2022, 02:03:43 PM
Bitcoin is about to end this year's journey through several hostile markets.  Many have invested in Bitcoin this year and many have sold Bitcoin.  Anyway, who has a balance at the end of the year?  My balance is in this range (0.01-0.1) and there are 5438179 total addresses in this range.  What number position is your wallet in?

Screenshot from: https://bitinfocharts.com/top-100-richest-bitcoin-addresses.html

I don't think a wise bitcoiner would publicly announce the range of bitcoin balance he is holding.
It is a risk since you could be contacted by scammers or someone might track you.
So it is best not to make such threads at first place and secondly not to announce or disclose your holdings publicly.

1443  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I became Independent Because of Cryptocurrency on: December 29, 2022, 03:11:29 PM
I know this is just silly story but I want to tell you that my bitcoin journey is not fascinating but here I want to tell.
In 2017 I started Bitcoin trading and also got skeptical in crypto. I lost too much much money but I got resilient. Cause I know that their is a future for me in this.
After late 2019 beacsue I took admission in university and now I am  independent and I do not need Money from my parents and that's good for me. I started making Money from crypto. I am And that was joy for me. Now I am making 100 dollars plus form crypto. That is enough for me.
snip

So are you making money just by trading or holding bitcoin or is there anything else as well.
The reason I am asking is because having around 0.015 BTC is considerably small according to current market price.
Although it might be a decent amount in the long run when prices spike up but you need to grow your portfolio gradually which I know you will.
You can also start some freelancing since you must be in college right now which will help you to earn an additional income.

Wow, I just completely forgot about this and just remembered when I got this mail from freebitco.in

Just while checking my FUN tokens I noticed I had 44 WoF spins and so I spinned them all and the results are below.

I guess today is my lucky day since I won 5k BTC as well as 1 GT (I know it's less but at least there's a chance, lol)

1445  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why you should be very careful with alts on: December 28, 2022, 04:59:04 PM
Crypto is a perfect engine for scammers because it's still unregulated and it's also the wild west when it comes to making money quick with less efforts. .

Apart from rugpulls and influencers scam that are very famous with altcoin investment there is one particular side I want you to be much aware of.

Many altcoins you are seeing right now are build on "Make the project, promise the entire world rare utilities and never really deliver anything, they will keep using words and investors will keep hoping.

They deliver small updates only to push the price higher.

They spent hours live streaming almost everyday.

They trust hype more than anything and a finished product will ruin it.

Keep a track of your altcoins regularly and once you see the slackness in the team it's safer to switch.

I guess you have had a taste of such altcoins as well  Grin  But to be honest whatever you said is absolutely true.
Altcoins are the riskiest asset since our investment will completely depend on how the project team is doing about the project.
One mistake can potentially risk our money to go down the drain which is why we should research very well about what we invest in.
Investing is established projects (top 10 in marketcap) with potential growth and a strong team should be the ideal choice.
1446  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How Are You Preparing For 2023? on: December 28, 2022, 04:54:14 PM
I personally think there's not much for crypto in 2023. The market will correct and we might see BTC back in the $30k range.
But that will be it and we won't see any major bullish momentum around 2023 because $30k itself will be around a 100% hike.
May be 2024 we will see a good bullish momentum and price might cross it's ATH price. So far I think 2023 will go sideways with corrections.
1447  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solanas position in the space. on: December 28, 2022, 04:51:20 PM
Solana is having a really bad time currently since its price has dumped to $9.9 which is such a low price considering it's ATH at $250.
It's basically a massacre for SOL if we compare it's price to ATH price.
Although the developments are good in the Solana ecosystem yet the bear trend and FTX collapse has drained out all of it from SOL.
I wonder how low it can go further. I had been holding a good amount of SOL to but sold just at $15.
I know I have lost a huge portion of my portfolio but I guess its late than never.
1448  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If your friend would tell you this... on: December 28, 2022, 04:45:12 PM
If your friend would tell you hey bud I have 10k in BTC lets try to make it 65k. You play on the casino for me.
How would you play? what would be your game pattren?

Id probably do 1 game of black (20k win) then one game of roullete with 10 numbers = $65k profit.

what would you do

Damn that is some huge amount of money to gamble with. At first I would deny him to play with such an amount.
But if he still insists then I would go for my favorite games which are crash and dice.
Also, we could bet together on some sport matches and get the thrill of winning those bets.
1449  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Two Gambling Stories on: December 28, 2022, 04:36:08 PM
In fact, it is not appropriate for the boss to ask for a 50-50 win split. What's more, the winnings and the money used belong to the apprentice himself.
If the apprentice loses, is the boss also willing to replace the money used for the bet by 50%.
So it can be concluded that the boss has no right to ask for even a cent of winnings from an apprentice.

That is very true. Only because the apprentice won the money the boss had the guts to ask for a 50% share.
We are sure that if he would have lost a big amount then his boss wouldn't have paid him half of what he has lost.
This is a good example and a really smart idea to show the boss his mistake.

Quote
Regarding a man who has to give what his girlfriend asks for, of course there is some truth to this because a girlfriend is someone who can accompany and provide support for men.
What's more, a real man must be able to understand and must be able to make his partner happy.

It also depends on how close they are in their relationship. I mean people these days are in a casual relationship just for fun.
In this case, why would a person share his winnings with the other.
But if they are indeed very close and comfortable with each other then they won't even hesitate to share the winning amount.
It's just a matter of how good their understanding towards each other is.
1450  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Too many chickens own BTC. Don't be a chicken, HODL! BE A LION. on: December 27, 2022, 05:04:56 PM
1 BTC = 1 BTC. That's all you need to know. Less drama, live longer.
1 btc equals to 1 btc  Grin, knowing this give peace of mind indeed, but the problem is that majority of people holding and investing in bitcoin do not see the price of bitcoin this way, every one seems to focus fully on the dollar worth of bitcoin and this is why many panick and sell at the slightest downward movement of the price.

If investors and holdler can begin to see bitcoin for its true worth, negative outcomes in this space like the crash of FTX wouldn't matter, and neither wil it have the kind of effect it had on the entire crypto market.

But anyways, I believe that some day, we will get to that point where hodler will start looking at the number of bitcoin they own rather than the amount of dollars they own in bitcoin.

That point of time will only come when bitcoin has been accepted globally and a mainstream adoption of bitcoin takes place.
Since bitcoin has a dual nature of being used as a payment method as well as being used as a tradable asset it is hard for people to treat as 1 BTC = 1 BTC.
This is because a vast majority of bitcoin holders are using as an asset and not as a payment method.
I guess it will remain the same forever. Bitcoin is too precious for it to be used as payment method sadly.
1451  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Peter Zeihan - in a world of carbon taxes, cryptos net worths is negative on: December 27, 2022, 04:49:35 PM
Im a fan of Peter Zeihan and in general agree with many of his arguments, such as China collapsing by 2030 due to demographics and Germany falling down the economic ladder fast due to its reliance on ever-more expensive fossil fuels. So that's why Im torn on his views on crypto - hes usually right.

He goes on to say "crypto is the poster child for the environment from 1990 - 2022 when we had unlimited volumes of capital. Now with that the money is going away, crypto is going away"

My take on this is that yes, while there will be less capital going forward, fiat is still created at the whim of commercials banks, therefore the idea of a digital cash that cant be debased is a powerful one. On future carbon taxes, which I agree with, the bitcoin network can easily operate on a fully renewable grid - the problem with renewables is they are intermittent and the energy requires storage. Neither of these limitations apply to the Bitcoin network.

Inflation is skyrocketing because the governments have been printing lots of money in the past few years.
All of this money is still present in the market and the whales are just moving it from one domain to other.
The money gets revolved from one kind of investment to others. Right now everyone is scared because of the on going inflation/recession and market crashes.
So the dust needs to settle down before people start pouring their money into crypto again.
I guess it will take another 2 years for that to happen.
1452  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to win gambling? on: December 27, 2022, 04:43:08 PM
OP has mentioned tips to reduce the losses instead of how to win. So the title of this post is actually misleading.
While these are some good tips to minimize losses OP can simply change the title to 'how to minimize losses' so that it doesn't mislead anyone.
Gambling requires a lot of self control and patience which is absent in many people which is the reason why many people lose money in gambling.
The tips mentioned in OP also requires a good self control. So I guess one needs to improve his self control before anything else.

I bet on newcastle, liverpool and arsenal but the status is still pending, a bit late usually I get my winnings not long it only takes 1 or 2 hours after yesterday's world cup time match, how long does it take to process that does anyone know

I write on each bet "Winners will be declared and paid out within 48 hours of the event ending.".

The world cup was in a different timezone so you didn't need to wait for me to wake up in the morning and check last night's results before doing the payouts.

Oh man, how do you manage to work during holidays etc. You must be everyday checking the state of page, results, do the transfers etc. Really demanding tasks, as all must go fluently if we want the site to be trusted.
I only hope you take enough rest and have proper life/work balance! Cheers!

I think that working remotely which I believe everyone in such business do gives you the opportunity to do the tasks/jobs during which time he may have as more suitable,I am sure people would not mind if they don't get their things done within a 24 hour time frame, sure there will always be the complaining ones but overall nowadays people in my opinion are more patient especially when they know they are dealing with a really trusted resource.

So I think he already has proper life/work balance.

Every job has it's own pros and cons. I have a full time remote job as well and so I know how it must be for TheQuin.
Handling daily activities, house work, office work, family time, chilling with friends, sleeping all of it takes up the 24 hours very effectively.
As for the betting rewards, it's a smart move to put a 48 hours timeline which is quite sufficient to distribute the rewards.
1454  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Hi i been doing binance futures for quite long time here is my idea on: December 26, 2022, 04:32:21 AM
Due to the availability of copy trading on the CEX. Trading signal is slowly become obsolete since newbie can just copy somebody trading base on its win rate percentage. Most of the pro traders just do this instead of starting what you planned since you can instant commission to all the use who copy your trade.

Just enroll on copy trading on CEX and increase your winning percentage there to attract more followers rather than start from scratch on telegram that full of leechers.

That is really a good idea. I have heard of copy trading and know that binance has some kind of leaderboard where people can see those whom to start copy trading.
I guess this is a better thing to do instead of joining a telegram channel dedicated to signals like what OP is mentioning.
It is more flexible and convenient to rather use copy trading on binance.
1455  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is this a good plan at all? on: December 26, 2022, 04:27:35 AM
Crypto gambling keeps growing faster than Fiat gambling, it's good to see that the masses now favours crypto for gambling than using Fiat but the only issue I have with crypto is the security, data breach and co so I want to know if hiding my IP on a crypto gambling website is secure? I am going with a premium sub of express VPN. If you think otherwise please tell me.
i have never tried using a VPN while gambling, but from several cases that i have seen, many crypto-gambling sites strictly prohibit their users from using VPNs to avoid cheating users.  but why do you have to use a VPN, if your country doesn't prohibit gambling? is your country not friendly to gambling?  then i think you can ask CS on the gambling site you want to play on, and ask, what VPN they recommend so that you are safe playing on their site.

Well, there are some casinos that do accept that you have and can play using the VPN, it is not a bad thing, however those casinos that do not allow it are better not to, but I think that in the future all casinos will have to accept the use of VPN, the reason is very simple, it is very difficult to say no to money, and that is something that I think few people would say, and those who would say it is because eventually they do not need it, and in any business model it can be done I think that these things should be taken into account, because a casino lives off its people and its players, and if they ban the most potential players it is something that should not be allowed, it is pure business logic.

So are you basically saying that casinos will allow the usage of VPNs so that they can get more users to their website and hence more profits ?
I don't think that will happen because casino's can't officially announce the use of VPNs.
It will be against the regulatory authorities if that country has regulations that do not allow users to gamble.
It can happen unofficially though by not putting any statement related to VPNs on their site but I still think it will involve regulatory risks if a gambling website allows VPNs.
1456  Economy / Gambling / Re: making 500-1000usd daily in poker must read i need a partner! on: December 26, 2022, 04:12:22 AM
i have a poker way to make money i will show u it fully if we can work together, not alot of money is needed , why i need money? because i was in debt im making but small amounts we can scal this up i would be fully transparent lets make this money if ure interested send me your discord

If you are really so good at poker then you wouldn't be in debt at first place.
You probably lost your money playing poker and hence you might be in debt.
Now that you don't have any money to play more poker you are trying to ask others for funds you will probably end up losing as well.
I think you should stop gambling for a while and start some real job to clear your debt first.
1457  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People who holds 1+ Bitcoin, how does it feel to hold in bear market? on: December 25, 2022, 02:33:51 PM
I don't really care if it is 1 BTC or 0.078 BTC or 1.437 BTC. It is still bitcoin which is previous and we should try to hold every possible satoshi we can for the future.
As long as the bear market is concerned it will get over at some point of time and we should feel lucky to buy more bitcoin at such cheap prices.
We never know if we would be able to see bitcoin again at these prices or not.
1458  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you intend to tell loved ones about the bear market? on: December 25, 2022, 02:26:42 PM
I just tell them that it is a part of the cycle and once it is over the good days of bull market will be back.
So just let the time go and once the market recovers then we can make good profits.
This is literally the only thing I tell them to make them calm because they get stressed about the prices.
In order not to make them panic sell at such low prices this is what we should do.
1459  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Aren't FTX CUSTOMERS Victims? on: December 24, 2022, 07:49:14 AM
I dont really have anyone to talk to.. I lost my USD that I had saved up .. I kept it on FTX.US.  If I tell anyone who isnt into crypto.. they say im a loser for trusting crypto.. if I tell anyone else they say im a loser for trusting ftx.

Throughout the whole thing(3 years) I have worked a super low end job.. 14$ an hour.. but the business needs me and I am fairly happy.. But I would like a way to make money... I tried alot of different things but nothing has worked.... I am a sincerely good person.. I have some skill in programming.. but people constantly try to take advantage of me.. and im afraid.

I know it must be feeling tough but once the money is gone from your non-custodial wallet to any other address then you should consider it gone.
You must have known this before your invested in cryptocurrencies. If you didn't then again it is your mistake for not researching where you are putting at your money.
All you can do is start from scratch now. One learns from his own mistakes so take it as a lesson and do not be harsh on yourself.
You still have a long journey ahead. Start spending lesser and saving more. You have a decent job because $14 per hour is not so low as you think.
Even if you work just 8 hours a day you still get $112 per day while having so much leisure time left.
Start utilizing your time effectively because time is money. I am sure you will be able to cope up well.
1460  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Finally got my boss to pay me in Bitcoin on: December 24, 2022, 07:32:39 AM
Hello everyone I am very excited today as finally my boss has agreed to pay in Bitcoin. After losing at my first attempt in Cryptocurrency as I thought that wealth falls like rain here I was brought back to reality with losses I got a little job on the side although a small amount paying job I think it is okay for me and I can get back on my feet.

Ever since I started working I have always been talking to my boss and coworkers about Cryptocurrency and after persisting they started to give me listening ears, I made sure to also tell them my experience and made sure they got my picture.

Along the line my boss got very much interested in cryptocurrency especially in Bitcoin. Assisted him in creating his Bitcoin wallet and taught him all I could, it surprised me when he finally accepted to pay me in Bitcoin and has giving it as an option to other workers, it's a big joy for me and I believe they are also talking about cryptocurrency to their friends and family too, just got my first payment in Bitcoin this evening.

I personally think that is great. Getting paid in bitcoin for a side hustle is an ideal solution to invest in bitcoin periodically.
I think you should also try to find a day job which pays you in fiat currency to handle all the bills and expenses.
Create a balance between the two incomes to stay invested in bitcoin while managing your expenses.
Diversify your investments so that it can generate you good returns over the long term.
