Why would you need 4 more when you can turn the 4 you have into SC minirigs,  unless BFL is offering you something compelling....hmmmm.

So let's not get all conspiracy crazy in this thread please. I need moar mini rigs to get over 200Gh. This is the extent of it.

1464  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTB] Your BFL mini rig order on: July 12, 2012, 02:32:09 PM
Hello fellow bitcoiners,

If you would like to get out of your position in a BFL mini rig, I will buy up to FOUR mini rigs at the full purchase price. This offer, once verified that you have a place in BFLs order list, can be paid via BTC or wire.

Best regards,
gigavps

Congrats! I bought an additional 1,000 shares yesterday that you can add to those I listed on your form for the paid upgrade path, many thanks.

Thanks for the update Otoh.

37% of all outstanding bonds have now reported in.

1466  Economy / Services / Re: Gigamining / Teramining on: July 11, 2012, 11:27:28 AM
To all interested parties:

Seems the recent ASIC upgrade path announcement as caused a bit of a stir in the market. Gigamining has now traded over 50,000 times during the course of it's life of glbse.com. Gigamining is the first to reach this milestone!

Also, for those interested in getting into ASIC mining, the ONLY way to get Teramining initially will be to own Gigamining.

Best,
gigavps

He has had the board for a long time and hasn't really made any progress on it.

cross-posting my bad news: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=40058.msg1008453#msg1008453

I had made quite a bit of progress, but now I'm just pissed with myself.

Can we have con look at this now. I have coins in the project and don't even use x6500s.  Undecided
1468  Economy / Services / Re: Gigamining / Teramining on: July 11, 2012, 10:29:25 AM
I already submitted the form, but then I bought more shares. Could you put me down for going the paid route for all of them?

Form is just to know how many are willing to change to teramining. Its for rough calculation not exact/complete one.

This is correct.

To all gigaminers:

Thanks to everyone who has responded to the google doc form so far! Seems ~30% of all the bonds out there have responded. There is no need to hurry as we have plenty of time, but this definitely helps me plan accordingly.

Best,
gigavps
1470  Economy / Services / Re: Gigamining / Teramining on: July 10, 2012, 12:14:00 AM
May I suggest that you already set up Teramining, allow for swaps and until "Day X" comes simply pay out the same on both bonds?

Hi Sukrim,

Good suggestion. I think we'll wait on this a bit for bond holders to make their moves. I will give ample notice about the move to teramining. I do like your idea and will keep it in mind.

1471  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Putting your money where Pirate's mouth is. on: July 09, 2012, 06:25:34 PM
Second, this is a lie.  You show me someone that said I complained about anything... EVER

pirateat40 is one of the most levelheaded individuals on the forums. He deals with more requests and FUD than probably anyone else, and he does it with class.

Others, including myself, should only hope they can live up to such a standard.

LF 500 richest address clusters Tongue

Another cool idea.
Let's see if I can pull it off.

I like the idea of the clusters to see wallet balances.
1473  Economy / Services / Re: Gigamining / Teramining on: July 09, 2012, 02:01:59 PM
Hi EskimoBob,

Since you didn't like my last response, we'll take your new post in parts so that I can talk to each point you make.

I attempted to figure out is this upgrade a really sweet deal or this just another rip off wrapped in a shiny paper and offered to us by a beady-eyed, smooth talking scam artist.

Thanks for taking the time to do some math. However, I don't appreciate being called a scam artist. I would kindly ask that if you would like to be respected, please respect others.

I guess it is clear what I did here in Table 1. All the FPGA stuff that vps has ordered and is pay'd by you, dear turd ("bond") holders is getting swapped to 20.4 times faster equipment. And yes, it is all paid by you.

So your calculations for the $/Gh decrease look correct. At this point in time, I have 4 mini rigs and cannot promise anything more until some things happen.

Would you rather I promise what I cannot deliver?

We got our 5 Mh turds for it and when diff started to climb, people started to realize that 5 Mh will keep losing value fast. (This trend will continue in long term and same thing will happen to 100 Mh ASIC turds.)

Every miner faces this. It's not just bond holders. It is however the one of only three risks that bond holders take on along with bond price fluctuations and BTC price. I take on ALL the other risks of running the bond. You do not have to worry that cgminer crashed yesterday and 50Gh was down for 4 hours.

Do you think that taking on these risks does not deserve a premium?

People got pissed off and then the a* holes from BFL released the PR FUD package. Now most of you realized, that 5 Mh turds will be worthless in matter of [insert BFL promised time frame here]. Suddenly people realized tha VPS can swap this pile of FPGA to 20 times faster (per invested dollar) ASIC's and ... here we are now.

All I can do when faced with this situation is either let gigamining die on the vine or work really hard to get ASICs.

What do you prefer me to do?

Here, in Table 2,  I am trying to understand, what really happens, if this swap gets completed.
At this point, it looks like I am getting scammed no matter what I do.

I have tried to give people a way to choose a free upgrade path. I have funds allocated to getting to 200Gh before ASIC arrives and to also upgrade equipment. BFL has made everyone of their customers double down if they want to remain viable in the mining game. I am not, yet you tell me you feel scammed because of this.

Would you rather I only have a paid upgrade option like BFL?

VPS answer to my question was as empty and meaningless like a answer from a scumbag politician:

Again, I try to treat most everyone on the forums with respect. I have failed in the past on this because I am not perfect. I will ask again that you try to do the same. Hopefully my more detailed response here will rectify your issues with my previous post.

Did I calculate something wrong? If so, can you please keep it to the point and use similar layout, so we all can see, where did I go wrong.

Cheers!

So, EskimoBob, would you rather I make no money and go out of business at the first sign of trouble? It seems your argument is that because I make BTC doing this that I am somehow doing something wrong.

I look forward to your response.

Best,
gigavps

The third and final 110% coupon payment is out. The next coupon payment will be back at 100%.

1475  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will the CGMINER developer get a loaner unit from BFL? on: July 09, 2012, 04:04:12 AM
However gigavps has taken it almost entirely upon himself to donate as much as BFL themselves probably should have been doing (which is disappointing). His sponsorship has made me care where otherwise I was happy to leave this crap with luke behind forever.

Cheesy As much as I hate seeing BFL drop the ball, props to Giga for stepping up! I was very concerned CGMiner would not support ASICs, but this is very good news indeed.

It is my sole mission to make sure ASICs are supported by cgminer. Luckily con and I speak the same language.

Hi, where do we register for the paid upgrade?

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/viewform?formkey=dE1KdUpIRWNGbmQ0c3QtTzB2YzFPSmc6MQ

This is also in the FAQ in the second post.
1478  Economy / Securities / Re: [FEEDBACK REQUSTED] Gigamining -> Teramining Upgrade Paths on: July 08, 2012, 10:19:57 PM
I very much like this, and would take the paid upgrade path. Out of curiosity, will GIGAMINING still exist after this transition, or are you going to call all of those bonds back? I imagine it wouldn't make sense for someone to not take the free upgrade path, but once the transition happens, anyone left behind would basically have a worthless bond, right?

Also, will you send a notice out to all GIGAMINING holders before you undergo this process (e.g., through GLBSE mail or something)? My holdings will not be stable (I will probably pick up more shares) so I don't want to fill out that form, but since it's literally going to be months, I don't want to accidentally forget about this, either.

Hi Skirik,

I have answered your questions in the second post of this thread.

Normal EskimoBob talk.....

Hi EskimoBob,

Your assumptions are off as not everyone will choose the paid upgrade path. I have tried to keep Gigamining owners from being left behind when ASIC arrives with the free upgrade option.

I appreciate you taking the time to reply.
