1461  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / The real reason behind the decline of Bitcoin and all other Altcoins on: February 05, 2018, 03:44:32 PM
Are you looking for the real reason behind the massive declines we've seen recently?

The answer is 2 words = Interest Rate.

The US is going to keep on raising it and investors are looking for save haven that pays sure dividends ... so the US Dollar that everyone has buried in the last decade is outperforming all the Cryptos, and soon the EUR/USD will hit a parity (it's $1.25 now, it won't stay like this for a long time).

History always repeats itself, one way or another.
1462  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin stay? What should we do... on: February 02, 2018, 05:26:38 AM
Do not panic, because this has happened several times before and it always bounce back from March onwards. If you look at the other Alt coins, you will notice that they are also going down, so there are not a new movement from Bitcoin to other Alt coins.

I cannot substantiate my claims, but I think some Fiat whales are slowly dumping coins to manipulate the price. I cannot pinpoint the motivation behind this, but I know they are slowly cooking the frog. ^hmmmmm^

What are those so called "whales" got to earn with all this?
The price decline is coming from real people.
1463  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Unconfirmed Transactions --> Over 200,000 --> That's the death of Bitcoin on: February 02, 2018, 05:23:00 AM
Do you really know what you are talking about?! You are accusing Bitcoin as a ponzi scheme just because of that 200,000 unconfirmed transactions! Those unconfirmed transactions are because of the high demand which causes huge traffic to the network. Way back few years ago, many people were also claiming that it was a scam but look at it now, it is on its way to $20000!

Looks like it's on its way to $15000 now.

2 months later, it is on its way to $8000 now.
1464  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin decline is soooo fishy! on: February 02, 2018, 05:21:44 AM
USDT is still crypto, the market right now doesn't like crypto.

1470  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / When Bitcoin Fees say 0-25 mins it's not always accurate? on: January 24, 2018, 12:12:14 PM
It could take more than 25 minutes for 1st confirmation despite the fee being paid is high?

1471  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Finally Bitcoin is becoming normal on: January 23, 2018, 04:38:35 AM
Normal is not always nice this confirms worst fears that people are staying away from bitcoins and that is very bad for people who're dealing in it. It means that transactions are not happening, and this could spell doom for bitcoins, I'm happy with high transaction time till more people are actively involved in it. This keeps the momentum going up.

Totally the opposite here, we want fast transactions & lower fees.
1472  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Finally Bitcoin is becoming normal on: January 23, 2018, 04:30:35 AM
Lower fees, transactions are approved within minutes or hours and not within DAYS!

Can this please keep itself like this permanently?
1473  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Why Blockchain.info show Unconfirmed whilst BTC.com and others show differently? on: January 14, 2018, 09:53:57 PM
Okay, it now got synced.
1474  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Why Blockchain.info show Unconfirmed whilst BTC.com and others show differently? on: January 14, 2018, 09:38:31 PM

Blockchain.info shows unconfirmed despite this Binance withdrawals transaction is confirmed.

Any idea why?
1475  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: 388 Sat/B is 240 minutes and 391 Sat/B is max 80 minutes - Question on: January 14, 2018, 06:02:04 PM
Another question - it says this transaction belongs to Block 504197 - where can you see the status when this Block is complete or how many % or estimate is left for it to be completed?
That block is complete already.

What is Bitcoin transaction locktime?
In short, it's not that interesting for normal transactions, only if you set a minimum block height to make a transaction time limited.

Thanks.
1476  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: 388 Sat/B is 240 minutes and 391 Sat/B is max 80 minutes - Question on: January 14, 2018, 05:16:35 PM
No. Fees are an estimate, not an exact prediction. "max 80 minutes" can't be guaranteed with any fee. I've seen longer periods without a new block being found.

If miners would find a few blocks close together, fees will drop enough for your transaction to be confirmed. If blocks are far apart (and the last few blocks took a long time), fees will rise further.

Thanks!

Does this mean if this transaction was sent with additional 3 Sat/B then it would have been completed by now? (currently 2.5h with no confirmation):

Hi,

unconfirmed parent tx : 7bce2e2dc6410a80be7837855a9e44dd46b4434e42f400aa68bea0fad1633288
added in viabtc free accelerator tool
https://pool.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/

It should be confirmed soon

Then you should do this for the other tx

Smiley

Thanks, we offer $5 BCH for the one who would do both.

Well, if it's still unconfirmed when I come back from work, I'll give a try at the other tx.

If it's confirmed then all good and I'm not really doing this for reward Smiley even if I wouldn't say no haha

Thanks, much appreciated Smiley
