The reason why you see people post this in this section is they have to make up their quota for the gambling signature campaigns. Dont take all of them seriously but report posts that you think are offtopic.

Thanks for explaining this, now it all makes sense why some posts seem to be completely out of context in many threads here.

Winning in gambling may feel like fun but once that turns into losses, it's not fun anymore.

Seconded.
762  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you consider gambling to be a "fun activity"? on: December 10, 2019, 06:28:33 AM
buy but if you play with a lot of control and you really set aside money for gambling then you should not regret it and continue to have fun.

How can you play with "a lot of control"?
How many gamblers have told themsleves "I'm only putting $100 on this game, win or lose, then I quit" - and then never sticked to their word?

FYI in Judaism gamblers are not allowed to serve as witnesses in court because they are deemed as unreliable.
763  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you consider gambling to be a "fun activity"? on: December 10, 2019, 06:17:27 AM
but some research on feelings when gambling has proven that gambling activities are also fun and even when they experience defeat.

The question is who funded this research you're referring to?
Indeed one research might show that only a fraction of the population (e.g. 1%) is having a gambling problem - but when you investigate who funded the research you would realize it's casinos and bookmakers, so no wonder they would claim that problem gambling is almost non-existent in our society - yet reality has proven the numbers are far greater than just 1%.

When you're referring to any research please keep in mind it MUST be credible, unbiased and trustworthy, otherwise it's not even worth the paper it is printed on.

maybe you should remember that many members here are not English people so you dont have to mentioned about broken english because thats normal if English is not your Mother tongue .

I appreciate this comment and I do agree that in some way I was too critic with other posters here, so sincere apologies if I offended anyone with those comments.

764  Economy / Gambling discussion / Do you consider gambling to be a "fun activity"? on: December 10, 2019, 12:18:49 AM
Do you feel fun when you lose $100?
What about losing $1000 or $10000 when you gamble? Does it make you feel it was all fun?

I see many posters here in this Gambling Discussion forum claiming (usually with broken English) that gambling is fun, that there is no pain nor suffering when you lose money... because it's all fun, it's great, the best thing in the world ....

So I'd like to ask you honestly - how is it "fun" when you lose money? What makes it fun - the prediction of what's gonna happen next? The winnings make it fun? But no one can win 100% of the times, right? (except for the house)

I'd love to see one of those posters explain to me, rationally, how exactly they perceive it to be fun? Please try to explain yourself rationally (with broken English if necessary).
765  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🏀5 BTC* Up For Grabs in LA Wins Nitrogen Sports Prop. safe. anonymous. on: December 10, 2019, 12:12:04 AM
Sending emails from different addresses not going to help you because they will feel its scam better try to contact with them through email which is registered with your account and send them informations which they required because its not easy job for them to work on issue like this I also lost my account but recovered very quickly as I send them all informations about my account correctly so its enable again better try again with your attached email hopefully this will help you.

He said he sent them emails but received no replies whatsoever. He used his own registered email but after getting no responses he tried using other emails to ensure he would get any sort of reply - which he has failed to receive.

Why don't you let Nitrogen and the user to sort this out instead of criticizing the user for being in the wrong here? I personally think Nitrogen should not ignore any emails they receive, so the fact they ignored (or mysteriously did not receive his emails) seems like a bigger concern.

PS in English you don't write "informations", information cannot be plural. And please save your opininos to yourself.
766  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling can never be a means of making money. on: December 09, 2019, 08:02:22 AM
Of course losing is not fun. It is not the losing in gambling that is fun. It is the game itself. It is not always the result that gives fun. If you win then you will be celebrating double because after playing and having fun in the game itself you are also receiving a price.

That price is way too high... don't you think?
Or are you referring to something called a prize and not a price?

But if you lose, then no pain at all because that is more expected than winning. It is still fun because you get to play.

So according to you losing $100 is "no pain at all" because I am expected to lose it anyway, and that's why "it's still fun" because I got to play and lose money? Totally makes sense...

 Huh Huh Huh

When you are playing, are you not enjoying it, the moment itself? That is prior to the result.

There were occassions I played with a few dollars, risking it on Black or Red in roulette, to be honest, yes, it's a bit of fun guessing the outcome and whether you lose or win you can live with that, however not everyone reacts the same... and personally for me with sports betting - I've never looked at it as something to enjoy, in fact in many times I haven't even watched the game itself, I just treated it as a pure investment - which is wrong, but I've realized it only now.

No, there is nothing to enjoy when you treat a bet as an investment, you want it to win, and whether you win or lose you're only digging a deeper hole until you completely stop.

Justyn Rees Larcombe is an example for someone who started with a simple £5 bet and lost his wife, his children, his job and almost everything ...

I hope you do understand English in a fair level so if you want just watch this video, he shares his story there:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7AN3VLLlkdI

I don't think Justyn would call what he experienced "no pain at all".

Gambling is a game with a full of fun

When you lose $100 in gambling, do you still feel it's a "game with a full of fun"?

769  Economy / Scam Accusations / Sports Odyssey (Odsy88.com) - Stealing Customers' Funds on: December 08, 2019, 03:27:40 AM
Previously I've reported that Odsy88.com claiming they have no KYC policy was wrong:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5170264.msg53035184#msg53035184

Now in SBRForum there are 2 customers reporting their balance all of a sudden "disappeared" - and only later Sports Odyssey returned the balance after the customers complained:

https://www.sportsbookreview.com/forum/sportsbooks-industry/3577538-odsy88-950-euro-stolen-my-betmantra-account.html

https://www.sportsbookreview.com/forum/bitcoin-sports-betting/3573934-sport-oddyssey-cheated-me-700-euro.html

Relationship between Odsy88 and AC88:

I would also like to show that Odsy88 is part of the bigger and more popular agent "Asian Connect 88" - they are very much related to each other, not only with the same way they operate, asking you to use a memorable word etc. - I do have a proof they are virtually the same. I will try to explain it as brielfy as possible in order to keep it short and sweet.

On the 27th of September I received an email with the title "Start your betting journey with Sport Odyssey" - which looked like this:

Okay, how did they get my email? The only agent I used before then was AsianConnect88, there wasn't any other agent I used. On the 14th of August before then they also sent a similar email. Both emails were using freshsales.io - and AC88 used something similar in 2018:

I can only assume the only possible way Odsy88 "knew" about me was having an account with AC88, I did email them back then to inquire how did they get my email but they've never replied to that question.

I'd like to emphasize one point - This is a secondary email I use, I barely get emails there, at all, it's an email I've never used with other 3rd party sites, no one should have information about this email, it was used with AsianConnect88 and with Blockchain.com as a Crypto Wallet and I'm pretty sure Blockchain.com wouldn't solicit this email to anyone else, so the only suspicion I have is that AsianConnect88 passed my email to Odsy88 - or if we put it in simple words - they are the same - but just chose to use different names for these purposes.

Just be aware that if you have a balance of X in Odsy88 it could change without your notice, they could easily deduct a certain amount without you even noticing, I believe this is a serious allegation and so far to date I haven't seen Odsy88 coming clean about those 2 incidents reported above in SBRForum.

Please beware.
770  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The secret of gambling? on: December 07, 2019, 07:18:44 PM
Is that it? Fck. Your feedback was shit as they are. Just agreeing on something without anything else?

It was put very straightforward - there is no secret to win millions nor thousands in gambling - if you want to win then don't bet, don't gamble - that's absolutely right - why do you have a problem with that?
771  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Practical "Self-Exclusion" from Bitcoin Gambling Websites on: December 07, 2019, 07:11:55 PM

It works yes in that one can't gamble without money. But like I and many said, there are ways around it and once the funds unlock, another boost of willpower would be needed to lock it again and if that's the case why not just withdraw it than make it useless?

Self-exclusion works as an immediate way to stop the act from happening but to be truly effective it'll have to be part of an intervention. For example during the 1 month lock-down he/she can go into counseling, and then when the fund unlocks move the money into an account family members can monitor so they can find if he/she's in a danger of relapse.

Anyway, it have its use, I never disputed that and I commend you mentioning this option and making a thread about it that members who may feel they are losing control can read and learn from.

Thank you, we are finally in accord.
I totally agree that self-exclusion by itself, or locking your funds away is insufficient to stop (or somehow control) your gambling addiction, by all means this is not enough, you definitely have to supplement the exclusion with ideas such as reading books or online books, participating in forums or physical groups such as GA (I personally don't like GA though), you should also edcuate yourself about why gambling is bad for you or why it's a bad "investment", whatever works for you - I don't think locking your funds away or self-excluding by any means is enough to stop gambling for good.

i dont want to be rude, but the payout from the faucet is very low.

yes this faucet roll rewards is low, most of the faucets giving 0.001$ per claim

We are paying 100% of the times, as you can see how old the topic is, the faucet has only grown since and we've never had any accusation of not processing a withdrawal with our site.
773  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling can never be a means of making money. on: December 06, 2019, 09:20:33 AM
at first thats the main objective but as time passes by?this turn to be the starting point and ended up seeking for winning all the time.

Well said.
774  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling can never be a means of making money. on: December 06, 2019, 08:29:40 AM
Because if the purpose of gambling is to make money it will create additional tension on the head.

Which head are you referring to?

So called "Pros" are nothing but paid artists, paid by the casinos to promote them.

Well said.

One more thing - You realize gambler #1 in your description can easily bceome gambler #2, it's almost impossible for someone to win money in gambling and never ever gamble again.
775  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Practical "Self-Exclusion" from Bitcoin Gambling Websites on: December 06, 2019, 03:33:00 AM
The best possible way to stay out of it is to shut down the gambling account

What if you are dealing with a website like Stake.com, BetBit.com and others who let you simply sign up for a new account in a matter of seconds? You won't restrict yourself that way.

I've just locked 0.03 BTC using Coinb.in until the 20th of December (2 weeks from now), I need to use them only then ... it's a great feeling that in some way I've now "self-excluded" myself from Crypto Gambling sites because I won't be able to bet now with other Crypto funds, I'm only feeling more deterred from placing bets, and every day that goes by without placing a bet is bringing me more freedom, sanity and a different aspect at life.

Like or not - this method works, at least for me, at least I'm a single individual who can testify that this is a great method that works for me and prevents me from placing bets!
776  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The secret of gambling? on: December 06, 2019, 02:50:15 AM
Secret: Don't gamble.

If you don't gamble, and instead invest you're money you're going to thank yourself when you retire because not only are you going to have a large amount of money once you retire. But you're also not going to have the horrible side effects of gambling: Sleepless nights, stress, etc.

Invest, don't gamble. Or at least KNOW YOUR LIMITS and don't gamble more then you can afford to lose.

This is 100% true.
777  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Practical "Self-Exclusion" from Bitcoin Gambling Websites on: December 05, 2019, 10:14:01 PM
Even a 96-hour lockup isn't going to exclude anybody from gambling, let's be realistic. It's trivially simple to just convert more fiat into BTC or another cryptocurrency.

If you use the Coinb.in option then you are not limited to only 96 hours.
Now converting more fiat into BTC as far as I'm as aware by any means is not instant for most people, so as long as you don't have instant access to deposit Bitcoin to a Bitcoin site, then you are in some way protected because you would be deterred by any means to do so in a way that takes a long time, since it's not instant - so you kill the urge at the very moment it's showing upm and basically then you are already making a progress.

People especially close to you absolutely do care at least to some degree about what's happening to you personally, so find some way to do so.

The issue with gambling is isolation, many addicts don't tell others - breaking the isolation is definitely one of the best steps towards stopping, however those who are not in this stage would find self-exclusion (or what this thread suggests) to be more useful for them.

I'm personally very happy I've found Coinb.in - I have some BTC in my wallet, I use it only when I need it, but I need to use it only 2 weeks from now, so by locking my BTC for 2 weeks - I won't be buying more BTC from my fiat (not worth the fees, the hassles, the sports odds of 1.95 would be worth 1.70 this way which is demotivating to bet like this) .... I won't be looking to gamble now, on the contrary, I feel in some way much better knowing my BTC cannot be spent and it's not lost.

You guys once again underestimate the power of self-exclusion, self-exclusion means you cannot gamble, whether you like it or not ... of course if I would insist I can find was to place bets but deep inside I feel like I don't want to and I am not having urges to do so ... I just know when my BTC is released I will spend it on what I need to spend it, and nothing else, period.
778  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Coin stuck in Coinb.in and there is no way of getting it out on: December 05, 2019, 07:43:46 PM
it seems like the problem is in coinb.in website not supporting bech32 addresses. use a legacy address format (base58, ie. an address starting with 1 or 3) and all should be fine!

Pooya - you're a life saver.
Thanks.

780  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Practical "Self-Exclusion" from Bitcoin Gambling Websites on: December 05, 2019, 05:47:21 PM
It's a compulsion, the addict will find ways to get his rush. If he leaves one wallet accessible he could still get tempted to use that. And once those funds unlock, he'll have to go through the entire self-exclude again (which I think is a waste since that money could be use for something else). There's only so much an individual can do on his own to fight this disease.

If the addict doesn't want to get help - then yes, he would find ways to gamble.

However,

If the addict wants to stop - then in this environment where self-exclusion is not something that is feasible to achieve so easily with Crypto Gambling sites - then suggestions like the ones in this thread could help the addict to prevent himself from going back to gamble.

There is no dispute that self-exclusion works, it simply does - and the goal of this thread is to manifest that concept.

So your conclusion is wrong, however you want to look at it.
