1481  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: $15 stuck, can offer $5 BCH to accelerate it on: January 11, 2018, 12:47:19 PM
Ok i will try again Smiley I added your transactions to couple accelerators.

Thanks Grab, let's hope it works!
1482  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / $15 stuck, can offer $5 BCH to accelerate it on: January 11, 2018, 12:31:17 PM
This transaction is unconfirmed:

https://blockchain.info/tx/0533856fa456aa8c6d3b03a8af2cb7db6d744f626bbe1e57948390e2b6b7f505

However it relies on an unconfirmed parent as well:

https://blockchain.info/tx/7bce2e2dc6410a80be7837855a9e44dd46b4434e42f400aa68bea0fad1633288

If anyone can accelerate these 2 transactions and get us the $15 confirmed - we would be happy to offer $5 BCH for that. It's not much but anything helps...

Thanks in advance.

1485  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: 0.016 BTC stuck in Blockchain.info wallet (offering 15% to anyone who can help) on: January 11, 2018, 11:47:36 AM
We would still be using it for Bitcoin Cash transactions only but if anyone has recommendations for other good Bitcoin Cash wallets we would be happy to hear.
My recommendations would be, if you're not going to get a hardware wallet like a Trezor or a Ledger, and you don't want to run full nodes like Bitcoin Core or BitcoinABC:

BTC - Electrum
BCH - ElectronCash (it's basically a BCH version of Electrum)

You should avoid web wallets in general.

Thanks!

Just for your future reference, the problem wasn't just the wallet... but the way you were using it has also contributed to your problem. Here are your inputs:

16wgAfS2wtEmCECQXeziejSFLzcDTVbMm2 (0.00200737 BTC - Output)
16wgAfS2wtEmCECQXeziejSFLzcDTVbMm2 (0.00048817 BTC - Output)

Each one highlighted in red, actually cost way MORE for you to send, than it was actually worth!!?! Shocked Shocked

Each one of those inputs is 148 bytes, you used a fee of 310 sats/Byte, therefore, those inputs cost you:
(6 inputs * 148 bytes) * 310 = 275280 sats = 0.00275280 BTC...

However, those inputs are only worth:
0.00000802 + 0.00001775 + 0.00002398 + 0.00003053 + 0.00005296  + 0.00004058 = 0.00017382

That's a net LOSS of 0.00257898 BTC!!?! Shocked Shocked In fact, the ones marked in orange also cost you more to send than they were worth... with your fee of 310 sats/byte anything less than 45880 sats (0.00045880 BTC) cost you more to send than it was worth Sad Undecided

What you should have done, was import your wallet into a wallet that has "Coin Control" (Like Electrum)... and then selected ONLY the larger coin values:
16wgAfS2wtEmCECQXeziejSFLzcDTVbMm2 (0.00200737 BTC - Output)
16wgAfS2wtEmCECQXeziejSFLzcDTVbMm2 (0.00200536 BTC - Output)
19eSzsr5V8aaLEWruceX2wLrHhFoyHnE77 (0.0036802 BTC - Output)
1P34turmZmndGX2n9CXGNe9FjB8CCdbuSk (0.00387093 BTC - Output)
16z2FwHE3Y1XEXFgWp3TLcynrsrDN1qdbe (0.00233479 BTC - Output)

This would have resulted in:

Total Inputs: 0.01389865 BTC
Transaction size: approximately (5 *148) + 34 + 10 = 784 bytes
Fee: 310 sats/byte
Total Fee: 784 * 310 = 243040 sats = 0.00243040

Total Output: 0.01389865 - 0.00243040 = 0.01146825 BTC

Compared with the 0.00890956 BTC you actually got... plus you'd still have the smaller BTC that you might have been able to "rescue" at a later date when fees are a bit less ridiculous.

TL;DR: Don't collect dust... and use a wallet with Coin Control.

Thanks for the insight.

Yes, indeed, BlockChain.info has caused us nothing but troubles! We are very happy to stop using it. Losing $40 - $50 in this process is a lesson to learn.

We would still be using it for Bitcoin Cash transactions only but if anyone has recommendations for other good Bitcoin Cash wallets we would be happy to hear.

Thanks again.

16wgAfS2wtEmCECQXeziejSFLzcDTVbMm2 0.00353186 BTC

This one has only $14 unconfirmed, the rest is all good and confirmed.

The other 2 addresses have 0 BTC, when we try to browse to the next page no addresses show up.
I haven't used blockchain.info in a long time, but if it says your balance is 0.016, it should add up on some of the addresses.

Anyone wants to assist here via Skype?
This is how you get scammers to contact you.

Assuming you have your recovery word phrase, I suggest you try this:
Anyways, Correct me if I'm wrong but even on mac you should be able to import it on electrum just by using your recovery phrase on blockchain.info.
Just click the options button and tick the BIP39 Seed box when you are prompted to enter the seed.
See if your full 0.016 pops up in Electrum, and go from there.

Thank you LoyceV!

We managed to get 0.0089 BTC out of this annoying wallet!
Blockchain and Electrum showed the minimum fee was so high because it has to take funds from so many different outputs and wallets!

We don't have 1 single wallet in Blockchain.info but when we look at "Used Addresses" we see this:

We have 0.0163 BTC stuck in Blockchain.info wallet.

We want to take those funds out and send them to 1Dam1KDLSTU46WSmGAqtWUXz6VZBh3jE7h

We can offer 15% (0.0025 BTC) to anyone who can help us take these funds out and send them to that address.

The error code we get when we try to send the funds is:

BitcoindException(super=com.neemre.btcdcli4j.core.BitcoindException: Error #-26: 66: mempool min fee not met, code=-26)

If anyone can help successfully - we promise to pay this reward accordingly.

Many users ask to add alternative captcha for enter and roll because google captcha works badly. Listen to your users and add solvemedia. It's not difficult.

We are considering that option, but please appreciate FreeDoge.co.in is using reCaptcha as well and it doesn't hurt the site itself.
So far the amount of requests to change the reCaptcha have been very minimal, and businesses should follow what the majority of their customers want if they cannot serve all wishes (e.g. Binance stopped taking new registrations but they have many customers who pledge and ask them to allow them in - so that means they have to listen to them?!)

I agree with user above about captcha. Recaptcha sometimes is too difficult to solve and I have to skip these faucets which are using Recaptcha. And to be correct, Freedoge.co.in have Recaptcha and SolveMedia integrated and users can choose their prefered captcha. I think having both captchas integrated would be great. It's only advice from user perspective and offcourse, you should do what you think is best for your business.

as stated below FreeDoge.co.in is using reCaptcha and Solvemedia but the most important it gives an opportunity to choice. many users face the problem with reCaptcha. I know it because have discussions on forums. And I talked to admins of several projects that used only reCaptcha. after my words they agreed to add Solvemedia as another option.

and it's not so difficult technically to add option to choose between reCaptcha and Solvemedia. this will make your site more attractive to users.

1494  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Any way to accelerate this transaction from 03-Jan-2018? on: January 10, 2018, 01:45:14 PM
I'm in a similar boat -> https://blockchain.info/tx/8f8e4928592a27f69b7ec910e8cb71a4341b0358d81a3713e5fea28ac9a0660d

Didn't think 120 sat/byte was a bad fee but there you go.

Feel there must be a better way, something to make miners take a chunk of low fee, high wait transactions instead of just 'skimming the cream' all the time.

According to this site:

https://bitcoinfees.earn.com/

A transaction of 120 sat/b should take up to 840 minutes (14 hours), and yet it's pending since 6 days ago - how come?!

 Huh

1496  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Is it possible to refuse/delete a payment we received? on: January 10, 2018, 12:20:13 PM
Anyway this is unconfirmed, and we don't want to find ourselves again sending Bitcoin funds using our wallet and getting them stuck because of this potential "Parent" transaction - so the question is how do we get rid of this transaction?
Anyone knows how to change Blockchain.info settings so no unconfirmed funds would be spent?!

are you still going to use that address for receiving bitcoin payments?
if not... have you tried archiving that address? so it won't be listed under your main wallet addresses
btw 16wgAfS2w... still have 3 utxo (2 conf'd and 1 unconf'd),
you might want to use those 2 unspents before you archive the address

What's the size of the 2 unspents? Where do you see them?

1498  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Is it possible to refuse/delete a payment we received? on: January 10, 2018, 10:35:02 AM
PPCAdMedia sent to us a low payment of 0.001 BTC approx - on DEC-29-2017, quite a while ago:

https://blockchain.info/tx/0533856fa456aa8c6d3b03a8af2cb7db6d744f626bbe1e57948390e2b6b7f505
(Our wallet: 16wgAfS2wtEmCECQXeziejSFLzcDTVbMm2)

This transaction is sitting unconfirmed in our Blockchain.info wallet (which we are going to stop using moving forward, we anyway need to convert our BTC to XRP & BCH so we would just use our Binance wallet to receive payments moving forward).

Anyway this is unconfirmed, and we don't want to find ourselves again sending Bitcoin funds using our wallet and getting them stuck because of this potential "Parent" transaction - so the question is how do we get rid of this transaction?

If anyone wants those 0.001 BTC for free by all means come and take them, just let us know how to get rid of this transaction and remove it from our wallet please.
1499  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How some people here add transactions to ViaBTC? on: January 10, 2018, 06:41:17 AM
It's a public service, limited to 100 transactions per hour. It's typically in high demand at peak mempool congestion periods (usually above 100k as I've noticed), and now that it's one that almost everyone knows about, you can bet everyone's lining up to try it.

It resets every hour, on the hour. I've seen recommendations from people to try exactly 1 second after the hour. The only time I was successful in recent weeks was when I clicked just a fraction of a second past the hour. I've also read about bots now being used to automate this process, I've no doubt it's true. You do not want to try that.

No no, we're not referring to doing this manually.
Some people - such as the poster above you - can do it freely using a software.

How do they do that? What type of software do they use?
1500  Economy / Service Discussion / How some people here add transactions to ViaBTC? on: January 10, 2018, 05:37:16 AM
We see several people in this forum can push transactions to viaBTC without getting this constant error message:

Submissions are beyond limit, please try again later.

As far as we know they use a software or something like that, can anyone please shed more light and/or explain what type of software do they use and where others can get it?

 Huh
