1481  Economy / Economics / Re: What would be the price of Bitcoin if someone would invest 10 billion USD ? on: February 20, 2017, 05:05:49 PM
bitcoin is volatile and you can expect to rise to sky high.but i would suggest that no one would be stupid enough to buy so many bitcoins in one day ,even if the price of bitcoins rose up to 2000 dollars it would be a huge profit for him.
I do not think that invest 10 billions USD can be considered as a stupid activity. As you can see, the more money you put in Bitcoin, the more profit you can have with this type of investment. I have never seen anyone become poor with Bitcoin unless he joins the HYIP or some kind of ponzi scheme.

The price would skyrocket suddendly in one of those big long green candles, so we would see a lot of bitcoin dumped too I guess, then the price would find an equilibrium above an all time high. So the overall conclusion is: It would be positive, and the price would be above $3000+.
1482  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Zerocoin implementation bug on: February 20, 2017, 03:32:54 PM
Zerocoin is just a collapsing coin at least price wise. Look at the damn all time history. We have a coin with a price on constant downtrend, while ironically the marketcap goes up.

The conclusion is clear: The coin distribution is a mess. The more the marketcap grows, the more the price goes down.
1483  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Zerocoin implementation bug on: February 20, 2017, 01:04:37 AM
You could say that the same happened in bitcoin in the early days (that one bug that needed a hard fork to get rid of generated coins). The difference is, it was the early days of bitcoin, and nobody gave a fuck since it was worthless back then.

Mistakes like this in 2017 could be fatal for a crypto. Another strong point of bitcoin is this will not happen again, and new technologies are at risk of such a thing occurring, the difference is, nowadays it would be a disaster.
1484  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there any place to gamble IF the Mayweather vs McGregor fight will happen? on: February 19, 2017, 06:37:36 PM
The excitement is indeed in seeing Mayweather gamble with his entire legacy... Pacquiao is not undefeated, so if he loses it would be as shocking.

Chances are both Mayweather and Pacquiao will kick Conor's ass, Mayweather can still be aggressive if he bothers, look at the Canelo fight.

well most likely if this fight pushes through it would be pure boxing, something which is highly in favor of mayweather. i have high respects for connor and for what he can do, but mayweather's technical boxing skill is far beyond what connor can handle. i would love to see this happen though and i'll be rooting for connor, but i don't see him making a lot of damage to floyd

Conor can get hurt by Floyd badly, people that think just because Mayweather is defensive it will be him running and Conor not taking any punishement are getting it wrong. A repeated amount of jabs to the head can damage you badly. Jabs that are not thrown with a lot of power, may not be fatal a couple of times, but if you are not a profesional, it can KO you, so Conor is not safe from a KO since he is far from a boxing pro.

But Conor can get lucky and get a KO... that makes the fight exciting.

1486  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Becoming rich owning all altcoins in 5 years? on: February 19, 2017, 04:45:18 PM
Would one be super rich if one now bought 1000 of each altcoin under a dollar at the time of this writing 5 years from now?

some opportunities only take place once or twice during our lifetime and they don't ever repeat themselves.
what you are explaining was only true about bitcoin once during the <2009 years when price was lower than $1 and it had lots of potential (it still has).

there are still altcoins that "get pumped 100% or even more" but that is temporary. you can see it in their history.
so in other words don't think 5 years. instead think 1 month or better yet a couple of days up to 1 week.

XMR pumped %2000 so pretty sure anyone that bought a decent amount in the early days is now rich

Same goes for when ETH was 20 cents a coin

So as we see... there are still chances to get rich in the altcoin world, the problem now is... what the hell is out there, that is interesting enough to get a solid pump? Pascalcoin? pumped real hard too, but its already correcting, thought decision to buy or not to buy.

Byteball? who knows if you are not buying right before the big dump as investors dump their free Byteballs.

FUCK this thin. I just want to hold the right coin and get rich, but I don't know how to do it, so im always in pain and stressed out.

1487  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who is winning the Race - Bitcoin or Paypal? on: February 19, 2017, 03:33:02 PM
Bitcoin will win in the end for gambling specially, since its ideal. You can gamble at any day of the week, in any country, and your age doesn't matter as long as you have bitcoins, that is what is so great, its total freedom. When I Was in HS i wanted to play poker for real money, but they would not allow me to register cause i was underage. I could have played poker with bitcoins back then. Kids of the future will be do that and some will get rich.
1488  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: About PoS on: February 18, 2017, 11:24:19 PM
I like PoS mining because it is eco friendly and doesn't use a lot of CPU or GPU resources. Ethereum also is moving towards PoS mining.
As said by others, there are many PoS coins. I like Decred, Reddcoin, Stratis and Navcoin. But you should check what are the most profitable to mine and the best option to do it is on raspberry pi. You can keep your wallet open 24/7 and get max profits. Unfortunately, not all projects support it.

Indeed PoS is eco friendly because there is no actual mining... the problem is, I still don't see how the "nothing at stake" problem gets solved. Also big pockets having tons of power on the network is something I don't like.

In general, I would not trust to hold value in a PoS coin for long term. That's why bitcoin is the ultimate long term safe haven in crypto, it is PoW and it is the biggest network.
1489  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Possible vulnerability in the PoW core (can offer BTC) on: February 18, 2017, 07:52:30 PM
You should make a bounty with a good BTC offer in the services subforum and im sure that in no time you will have someone wanting to help you. Stuff like this is complicated and takes time to find bugs, debugging is a job so I doubt people will do it for free. So start an offer and you will get someone to fix it.
1490  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Supertition on: February 18, 2017, 06:50:58 PM
Im not superstitious at all. We have tons of people that are addicted to wearing lucy charms like amulets and other stuff, like even praying and so on. I dont believe on any of that, it's all a game of raw statistics. Can we interfere on that? im not sure, but it all comes down to luck and nothing else. Be lucky to win.
1491  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Zerocoin implementation bug on: February 18, 2017, 05:00:30 PM
What is strange here? This Is probably inside job, small bug to be discovered by some stranger and exploited in this way, this is only dream of every hackers, and those who created this code didn't notice this at debug ..? I really want to be believe.

The real big mindfuck is the following one: Since this coin depends on you haven trusted that the developers destroyed the masterkey files (which would give access to the total supply in a total impossible to prove way) some dev could have the key and could access the supply, fuck shit up, then claim its a bug... nobody would know.

The whole concept of this coin seemed so stupid to me since the beginning.
1492  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you choose casino to play? on: February 18, 2017, 04:27:11 PM
1. Fast withdrawals and deposits.
2. Simple design so the webpage would load quickly.
3. Good support staff
4. No scam or shady activities going on.
5. No foolish policies.
6. Has good community
7. Funny trolls
8. No spam/referral link on chat box

Basically if I'm feeling lucky on that certain casino or if I'm feeling "at home" on that casino, I'd probably go back even if one or two of the things above aren't achieved.
This is the main things we do always like to check first on which casino we do love to play specially when we feel lucky today. Those list you mentioned are same as mine.

Yep and Betcoin.ag has one of the best casinos in the game, not because im making a signature campaing advertisement but I mean it. The community is huge, the staff helps, the site looks good, nice games for everyone, good deals, good bonuses. All the scam accusations i've heard afaik are trolls, so I would support that site.
1493  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What coin will give us good gains in case ETF gets passed and BTC goes to moon? on: February 17, 2017, 07:58:33 PM
if bitcoin can go past the ath and stay way above it then perhaps the tide's gonna go out and leave the alts exposed. for quite a while it's been conceivable that an alt could eat a major chunk of bitcoin's share even though it was all down to empty pumps.

if that possibility is flattened then there might be some short term turmoil with alts as people realise they won't ever go anywhere. it won't stop the pumps and dumps of course  but just maybe the 'bitcoin killer' shit will be done once and for all.

then maybe we'll get some real applications from coins that are forced to actually work to justify their existence for once.

Yeah, im tired of the 'bitcoin killer' nonsense. There's not a single altcoin in sight that can challenge bitcoin, so I wish to see them fall as BTC shines, then that would mean they need to start putting real effort if they want to steal from bitcoin's marketcap.

But ultimately, we need to take risks in the altcoin world if we want to make more BTC, if we don't want to trade against any fiat currencies which means giving all personal details to exchanges which sucks.
1494  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / What coin will give us good gains in case ETF gets passed and BTC goes to moon? on: February 17, 2017, 06:10:57 PM
So let's say the ETF passes and we get a price increase of up to $2,000+ per BTC. The question here is simple: Since we want more BTC and not more USD, what altcoin can we hold that will also grow along with BTC?

Is such a thing even possible? Right now, all alts are pretty flat or going red... because king BTC is rissing.

So how can I get more BTC when BTC is growing?

Also, in case it doesn't pass, the price may dip... what altcoins would you hold to profit from it?
1495  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you cashed-out bonuses from casinos? on: February 17, 2017, 04:23:17 PM
Basically, have you reach the roll over requirement casinos and sportsbooks require to cash-out your bonuses?

So far, I haven't. Since, I think the roll-over requirement is really stupid and requires you a minimum of 40-100 roll-over of your initial deposit or the amount of bonus you are entitled to before you can cash out. Meaning, from a bonus of 10 mBTC, you have to gamble around 1 Bitcoin (a whole bitcoin!) just to cash-out just 10 mBTC worth of bonus.

Can you guys tell me, if anyone has done this?

Have you cashed-out bonuses from casinos?

I think I have a bunch of bonuses accumulated by promoting Betcoin.ag for a long time, they are a nice company and they give bonuses to people that work with them in the sig campaign, the problem is, im too dumb to even know how it works, and I think they are all free poker tournament passes and I suck at poker anyway, so I wish there was a way to exchange those for BTC.
1496  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [FUD] Pascal Coin on: February 17, 2017, 03:46:44 PM
Indeed looks like a lot of people got potentially rich from this thing, but as of today, looks like another missed train.

What is the next coin that is at the floor that will pump to ridiculous levels? that's what we should be looking for. A nice straight graph that doesn't show major pumps so you know you are getting in at the beginning.

Any thoughts on byteball? looks like its still growing.
1497  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: WWE betting sites help? on: February 17, 2017, 01:53:06 PM
Even if it is fake, the results are really unknown to the viewers. The problem is that there are plenty of people that would know the outcome of the game and that would tremendously affect how things work in gambling. In gambling, 99% of the time, no one knows the outcome of the game. That is why we are gambling. So, I think it is stupid to bet on WWE.

That's why I think WWE insiders in the company must be making millions... and now with bitcoin it would be easier for them, since you can bet anonymously. So yeah, being a WWE executive or a fighter means unlimited money since you can keep winning all the bets anonymously lol.
1498  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Proving Cryptsy Purchases/Deposits for Class Action Lawsuit on: February 17, 2017, 12:28:34 AM
Those motherfuckers stole all of my altcoin holdings, or like half of them. Luckily, they were all random shitcoins, it was like 0.2 BTC total.

In any case, if I was able to sold that, that 0.2 BTC would be worth quite a bit nowadays. I hate Big Vern, but im not getting into trouble for 0.2 BTC. I just hope he gets his ass in jail.
1499  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So Iconomi got dumped, who lost money? on: February 16, 2017, 07:00:25 PM
because bitcoin is too strong and everyone dumps their alts for BTC.
Why didn't you think of that in the first place ? lol
In my humble opinion,if you don't trust the coins you're investing money in,you should be out of the game.On a side note, bitcoin is unbeatable.

That is what I thought, which and like I said before, is what made me not buy into the Iconomi hype, not at least until it dumps accordingly, because I don't believe this coin is magically going to grow as BTC grows. Most if not all alts, go red when BTC grows, and BTC is growing real nice and steady. PBOC crap is futile, and we are now looking at the ETF approval. If he ETF gets approved, we are looking at possible $2000+ prices, so you can imagine what will happen to the altcoin holders.
1500  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So Iconomi got dumped, who lost money? on: February 16, 2017, 05:45:22 PM
I was considering this coin just like a lot of other potential investors and it was a total flop, the coin has dumped all the way down to high 200's, right now is at high 300's.
What the hell man? Im glad I dodged that bullet, I would have lost half of my bitcoin.
I hope it recovers but I always had my doubts about this thing.

You seems have no ideas of trading. If you would plan to buy you should have buy offers set at high 200. and you would get cheap ICONONOMI.
You could sell them now and have 15 BTC instead of 10 you had.

You did not dodged anything. You did totally nothing. Nada!   All you did was another flashy title in thread, where you will bla bla more.

Yeah, except that was exactly what Iconomi shills were saying in the ICO thread.

"Bro, I cant believe we are still at 4XX, we are going to be at 1k in no time when they release the platform". A ton of people bought at 4XX and now they got fucked, the ones that panic sold at least.

And like I said before, I saw this coming because bitcoin is too strong and everyone dumps their alts for BTC.
