To claim men and women are the same or equal is utterly hilarious when they're not remotely similar.  To know the mind of a woman is to know the mind of a prostitute. They're generally "takers" by nature, looking solely for an asymmetric relationship that favors themselves.  This is why men get along and women don't.  You can't have two prostitutes standing on the same street corner, it just doesn't work.  Two men can collaborate on building something together even in a zero sum game because they can work out a 50/50 split. Such a split is considered offensive to a woman.  Utilitarianism is a completely alien concept to them.

WTF did I just read  Cheesy Cheesy ?

Do you actually believe this ?

That is some far out fubar shit brother!  Can't help but think you have been exposed to the wrong sorta women - or have been a doormat or been badly burnt by one/several/all of the women in your life?

He is actually right... 9 out of 10 women that I know... are exactly like he said! ... Women in their nature... because of the history context, of them being leverage for aliens, they where trade slaves or a commodity for us to bargain our existence on this planet with the invader alliens! Cheesy Cheesy
Their mentality is something similar to cats... because someone else needs to take care of them! Smiley
Because it is in their genetic matter to be a commodity, a good, a house pet! Cheesy Cheesy

hahahaha

Yeah right...

Let's put on a demonstration, just in case Theymos does not know, about how stupid-ass we can become in regards to our off-topicness and our attempts to provoke.. Wink

But... the bright side is that the "9 out of 10" ratio is losing its majority very fast. So in the future their genetic makeup might get better and we might get along well if they change their "house pet" tune. Smiley
And you should know that I blame the aliens for this. We shouldn't blame women, even if they are the bag holders of this all situation! Cheesy Cheesy ... anyway... W00-W00-Ch00-Ch00...  Shocked  Shocked

Bill Gates officially leaves the new world order to join the alt-reich.  Positive effect on cryptocurrency since every coin ever created is endorsed by Bill Gates?

You can't blame him for being a noob! He is not a politician to put it in a nice way for the masses, with a pretty name attached to it... like "The Salvation of Africa Project" (that would be intended to stop them from coming to Yurope!)

But I think there is cheaper labor in Africa than in India or some other Asian 3rd world country. So... business people should think about that. But I think they would probably need some military enforcement to do business in those places first. And after wealth and prosperity comes, then the population growth will stop. Smiley

Actually this is now the main fork, after the other two died dry. BitcoinNewsMagazine one was cool but people stopped posting there for no reason, Meuh sabotaged his own thread...

Elwar, good to see you around, have seen news from Latin America? Things are worst everyday, Maduro is playing a theater in Venezuela, possibly setting the right backstage to his so dreamed coupe d'état. Brasilian President Temer is likely to lose his presidential term due to many corruption accusations. His lawyers are using the same strategy last president used before being impeached. Sounds like desperation.

With so many countries on the brink of collapse I would not be surprised by that desperation leading to some sort of world war. That tends to be a nation's way of covering up their financial problems and pulling everyone together under some false sense of threat.

How do you see Bitcoin behaving in this WW scenario?

Millennials will refuse to fight! They are too self centered. Hmmm... maybe North Korea. But other countries would just nuke that one then go back to not fighting. Smiley

hahahahaha..

Better to be feared than loved.

There are several good candidates in the running - and probably any one of them would be acceptable and relatively tolerant to preserve the thread's seemingly laissez faire culture and history..

It is one thing talking in theory about no moderation or that someone is a tyrant... but when push comes to shove, it is likely that some posts need to be deleted to facilitate participation - at least in the shill account arena .. and also possibly in the arena that seems to be a pattern of purposefully spreading disinformation and/or seeming to purposefully engage in a means that diverts from the topic with a kind of ongoing trolling that also may have a tendency to purposefully and knowingly spread FUD.. ..

tough to figure out the line, exactly.. and maybe sometimes moderators go too far - but hopefully we end up getting a moderator who is tolerant and errors on the side of allowing post unless they are really obvious in the troll/shill category.

For what you are talking there... That specific type of format on a forum... It just does not comply with the format we have now! Smiley ...

By the way, in my above statement, I am not envisioning anything, I am just suggesting that the art of balance n moderating is likely easier said than done.. and it is possible that Lauda may have been a bit too much of a moderator from time to time, but it also seems likely that at least a little bit of moderation is needed - ..  Tongue

You don't need to worry, I can think without help.  And I am not thinking about 300 years ahead, or thinking there will be 'peace' either.  There won't. Not in our lifetimes.

I am thinking a little more short term: who will keep the WO going as I want to hope it can?

Meanwhile, I might take on a few neo-nazis that crawl out from under the stinking sludge as I pass along - but that is just because I have a teeny-weeny problem with the advocation of mass murder of men, women and children upon racial grounds.

Maybe that makes me weird.  But I am unable to respond differently.  I happen to stupidly believe all human life is valuable and everyone has a right to live unchained.  It is part of why I am into Bitcoin and the personal freedom it offers - whatever religion, or skin colour.

Exactly that will bring you to ruin and everyone else from the human race that prefers to think like that! We just don't need the likes of you!.. I'm not a racist, but I just don't like people that are weak in their ideals. Smiley

The brutal refusal of even thinking, suggests that you refuse even 1% effort to implement something that can impact 50% of your own or others future! Smiley ... That's just lazy and unworthy!  Roll Eyes

Occasional promotion of fascism is kind of OK?

Ok, laissez-faire will win out, which is a plus point - but when I totally kick off, will I also not be deleted when I tell this psychopath who lives in his mother's basement dreaming of the death of the jews to go fuck himself?

Wink

That actually sounds fair...

*edit:   And then peace was restored to the kingdom! They became friends and then they had a plenty bunch of children and the world was a better place! The End!!!  Cheesy  Cheesy

Not that likely, I am afraid. The world will only be a better place when the promotion of racism, hate, murder and genocide is not 'OK'

I do this for a living... and I need to make you think! ... So... in opinion of some... the concept of "peace & prosperity" are ideal and will probably happen. BUT!!!! ... The thing is that imagine a world after 300-400 years of no violence or any kind of rebellion... Do you consider that a healthy society?? Because if a breakaway civilization from the past or an encounter with another alien race (just a small rogue colony might be enough)... How do you think the reaction of those 'vegetable minded' people will be?? Smiley

So the actual problem that many don't understand is that you need to integrate "the promotion of racism, hate, murder and genocide is not 'OK' " ... into any future system that we have!   Wink

*edit:  The concept of "Peace" alone, by itself.. cannot stand the trial & error of time! Because its flawed! And you need constant balance! Smiley
1491  Other / Meta / Re: Wall Observer new ownership on: July 05, 2017, 09:02:46 PM

The only trouble is, when genocide happens, it's sort of a bit late to form an opinion.  It tends to need a war to sort it out if you let it go.

See:  History.

That's why you can educate people from far far ahead if the damn thing wasn't ignored and suppressed in the first place!!! Because when it will be heard by some, it will be like the first time! Something sounding very beautiful and a likely plausible scenario!!! ... And jews will probably not be a next genocide 2.0 ... but maybe them arabs invading Yurope! So people need to come with solutions far far far ahead, so they can establish concepts!!!  Roll Eyes

My vote goes to infofront.

Seems to me the blatantly racist shit ought to be out of bounds. Maybe I'm a Jew. Maybe the monkey is. Who's to say?

Absolutely.

r0ach seems to think this is fun:

(Blah blah conspiracy paranoia from r0ach's sick library) Holocaust 2.0 coming soon.

I do not.  When he was a Mod, I asked Lauda why posts I had written were deletd and r0ach's anti-semitic hate posts were untouched on the same page.

He did not answer.

For me intolerance to the point of advocating genocide and the killing of millions of people is NOT really ok.  It's kind a red line issue.

So in the interests of an open debate, what is your position Lauda? Do you just crave the power? Can you tell us if you're a light touch, laissez-faire type, or a totalitarian?  Why were you a mod and then suddenly not?

Do tell, we would like to know.  Your past is not without clouds - but your audience is listening and prepared to listen, as am I - and if I get no answer, you will have proved my worst fears about your ambition to take over the WO.

You are not Adam - OK, who could be?  Fair enough.  But what are you, Lauda?

The fact that he presents the other side of the coin is exactly the reason why we should keep people like R0ach! ... Because you can show them, point them with a finger and given as an anti-example!!! ... The world needs fucking bad guys to be in a perpetuum state of equilibrium! Balance is needed! Smiley

*edit(1):  So... don't ignore the other side of the coin!!! If danger and bad sh!t exists... you don't need to ignore it and suppress it!!! Deal with it!!! Smiley

Will you publish who voted for who again? I am not really familiar with some of these names to vote for them. I had hoped Jimbo would be a part of it.

I will declare a poll winner by considering who voted what, not just by counting votes.
How would you handle a situation with a large number of new accounts voting? The decision to consider 'who' voted is a step in the right direction, but I'm wondering how you would execute it if someone were to be leading by a large margin with e.g. such votes.

Lauda...

Beat it you tyrant... you kept deleting R0aches natzi posts... and that guy is pure gold entertainment!!! Smiley ... Do you think people come to these posts for speculation?? You are dead wrong!!! They come for entertainment!!! Smiley ... No one care who said what, when or maybe. Because 90% of the people with money from these posts don't listen to each other anyway! So its just simple chit chat between millionaires and billionaires that like to mock each other!!! Smiley

Noble metals aren't money by coincidence or mass hallucination, they're money because the most ideal form of money would be a metastable object 100% convertable to energy like a block of energy from the transformers.  Since humans don't have things like that, and it's difficult to transfer buckets of oil around without inducing high counter party risk, the next best thing is a durable, scarce, fungible, portable form of matter because getting rid of counter party risk is an even higher importance than convertibility to energy, and matter is a representation of energy anyway.

The first few humans on this earth weren't "evaluating" a bunch of shiny metal rocks dug out of the ground based on your reasoning above. They literally thought they were pretty, and also noticed they were rare. So they decided to start bartering with them.

The mass hallucination of belief in PMs having value storage merely developed from there. Over time the noble metals came to be associated with gods and wealth. Their value to mankind grew, but the value process tooks hundreds and thousands of years to develop and reinforce.  Now people think PMs have their monetary value "because my dad and my great Grandpa thought so" or "because Banks, Governments, and Sovereign Countries think so". Hence the self-reinforcing belief feedback loop that I spoke of.

It won't take Bitcoin nearly that long.

His problem is the fact that he thinks that there won't be created some more robots or some country won't decide to go all apesh!t on their mountains and flood the market with gold & silver.  And if technology will go supersonic in its evolution... well sh!t... then we have at least 20 planets to mine in our Solar System... like for example some of the moons of Jupiter or Saturn are the same size of Mars. So wtf are we talking here about?? A store of value for 5-10 years maximum then it will go down to sh!t again?? Smiley
1498  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer: BTC/USD Price Tracking and Discussion 2.0 (Unmoderated) on: July 05, 2017, 01:49:13 AM

Never believed in ETH... and never will. I'm sceptical AF!!! Cheesy Cheesy

Couldn't the same be said of Bitcoin holders though? I am an avid BTC holder myself.

Yes it could. But Bitcoin is not a mere 2 years old and price moonshot from $0.50 to $400 virtually overnight. It took years and years to build a devoted following of firm believers (holders, users, merchants). Bitcoin also has all of the core fundamental attributes of sound money (eg, not-premined, fair launch, capped, deflationary, POW mining, secure, etc.) that many of the other cryptocurrencies and tokens do not have.

Why anyone would support a cryptocurrency that lacks even some of the fundamental attributes of sound money to begin with is beyond me. That to me is rationalizing something irrational/illogical due to simply a rising price.

Simply having a rising price != sound money, nor does it mean or imply greater adoption in the future. Greater adoption over a longer timeline (decades) requires belief, and belief first requires firm attributes of sound money, which is the platform infrastructure on which belief is built. This forms a 'belief feedback loop' that builds with exponentially more and more people over time.

Gold and Silver went through the same process, the belief started somewhere with just a few people, and then eventually over hundreds and thousands of years formed the "shared hallucination" that all of mankind have today that Gold and Silver are valuable.

This will also happen with Bitcoin over time. The other cryptos will fall away into irrelevance or merely PnD penny stock like crap that no one will have any long term belief in.

Oh... what??... I heard some weird clunky scratchy noises on the floor!!! .. Hmmm... I think the r0ach police is coming to install some distrust in your theory!!! Cheesy Cheesy ... Run... the precious metal police is coming!! Cheesy Cheesy

We did break out of that triangle nicely, but Aug 1 looms over us.

I don't care... I will support both of them!!! ... I will always keep a full node open for the older version just to spite the new initiative!

I'm not sure... but I think I'm against the split. Just because I know being able to update the new version forces the people with older versions to get screwed into accenting what the devs are doing/writing... so... if someone can put pressure, blackmail or make them somehow to write bad code... well then sh!t... everyone will go back to the previous chaotic version! Smiley

*edit(0):

broken triangle upwards means bullish AF...doesnt it?

Yes and no...

Yes. Because it is inevitable and any kind of pressure, and even just a small push can make the price go up in the circumstances that the pressure of diminishing returns/coins that flood the market.

No. Because the concept of "communism" needs to be a self or mutual assured agreement between traders that everyone has skin in the game and there is no way but UP! But if small rabits / goats just escape the fence and start pumping without the consensus of the rest of the traders... then that escaped goat need to have a good pull behind his/her back to give the impression that there is some sort of consensus. Wall Observer Coin
lol and largely agreed

^ref your earlier discussion - how to get (back) into bitcoin - and the advice you were given - dollar cost averaging - thought this might amuse/interest you/all/some: http://trilema.com/2017/the-universal-plan-for-wealth/

my main takeaway for the purposes of this thread -
it's incredibly goddamn bullish - a kid scrapes together $20k worth of btc now ... puts in some not very hard work ... is a wealthy man in ... ?several years' time.
20k becomes what 200mil? in today's terms

i'd bet most of us want to believe roughly that sort of growth for the price, even if my definition of wealthy is an order of magnitude more than the next guy's

if we are right, then the dollar will decline so sharply at some - nearish-by - point
that dollar-cost averaging will no longer be a way in to bitcoin for the average working stiff

That's actually going to be pretty good for Bitcoin if the dollar declines as it could actually be used for daily transactions, assuming SW and Lightning get implemented. Good thing I already have my foot in the door and don't buy as much as I used to.

Good read V8. Funnily enough I actually own a house in the UK (but currently living in the Philippines) which I have been recently thinking should I sell and invest some of the proceeds into bitcoin. I get a steady rent income from it sure but that is not as much as returns I would get from BTC. Problem is it is a lenghy process of selling a house in the UK but with current house prices I should come out with £130,000 should I decide to sell. Of that my plan would be keep £100,000 in various banks as I$I$Coins in case house prices collapse so that I can buy property back, use 10,000 as living expenses for a year or so here in Asia and invest 20,000 in cryptos (mainly BTC for long term HODL) and maybe 5k for trading with.

Anyway its something I got to think about seriously.

As long as your house in the UK produces nothing. Its just useless! Smiley
