52. In addition to the 16 squares formed by the arrangement of the matches, the 36 individual matches are themselves squares when looked at end-on.
You're overextending yourself.

Is gold not a relic from the past, that is hardly used, by ordinairy people?

It's a metaphor

Where are you from? I'm curious.

What thought experiments?  The worst kind of lie is the one you tell yourself.

Btw everything about money is an agreement. Something I think about things with an child's
mind. As adults would Bitcoin not be considered a fantasy world currency? It went from $1,
to $900?

We are computer people. We are global. Live on the internet. Things move way faster here. And we're tech savvy and young.  We are magic compared to the old people.

The young tech elites are the vanguard of all technological innovation and give rise to economies.

For the internet people like us, we have no countries or borders. A global economy instead, leveraging a new type of money based on the principles of cryptography to make it work.  Ergo BTC and LTC and all the other alts.

It's growing because people are excited about it.  Lots of PR.  And everyone's throwing money into it as they see it grow, hoping to strike gold. Smiley

1506  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Any easy way to cash out? on: November 19, 2013, 01:58:37 PM
Hi,
I received a few coins a couple of days ago and I would like to change them for real cash.
I spent most of the day yesterday, trying to find websites that allow that, but every website I found required either entering my credit card number into a dodgy Russian website or verifying my identity by sending documents that I don't want to send.

Any easy way of doing it?

Thanks,
Elad
How did you manage to find your way on this forum and not one of the many exchanges standing before it?

Too early?

The nature of speculative bubbles is everyone feels like a fool at some point, but the greatest fool is the one who didn't ever cash out (even greater than those who never bought any).

Selling 1/3 of my investment (purchased at ~$69) at $712 and buying it back today at $389 was one of the best moves I've ever made.  Nothing was lost and enough USD capital was freed to fund some of my future projects.  The fools are the ones that never acted at all.

Is it possible that the Chinese government is just that clever?

If any government created bitcoin it would be Russia. Putin's been stockpiling on all the gold they could get their hands on. Also based on my experience I would say the Russians are much clever, especially in covert operations.

Then again the Chinese aren't dummies either. Wise to embrace open source technologies. I also see a different kind of work ethic and discipline in those people that you don't see in the US as often as you should.

It'll be interesting to see how things turn out. I carry a blank flag always.  Smiley

Lots of guys here. One may buy it for their GF. I think I may buy a pair once I know your asking price in USD.

Edit: I see the price now. I'll offer you $15 UsD in BTC, shipped. Smiley

I suggest you start reading accross this forum.  Don't use paypal when buying bitcoins, bank transfer or uKash is better.  Also, try searching up bitcoin, you'll be able to learn more about it.
What is wrong with us PayPal? Why are the other methods better?

There really ought to be a standard FAQ for these things.
1516  Other / Beginners & Help / Where to get Casascius protective coin shells? on: November 17, 2013, 08:21:24 PM
I have a few Casascius coins without the clear, protective coin shells.  I have the silver 1BTC coins.  Where can I find the shells that fit these?
1517  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: no idea on: November 17, 2013, 07:29:10 PM
hello,

absolutely know nothing about bitcoins and altcoins.

Where can I buy altcoins using "standard" bank transfer, Paypal, uKash, Paysafe?

Start with bitcoin first; coinbase.com for US, bitstamp.net for EU and other.

For everything else you need to know: bitcoin.org
