1501  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum in 5 years on: July 09, 2017, 11:08:51 AM
I am also bearish about the future prospects of Ethereum. The ETH developers needs to be more open and clear about their currency, if they want the mainstream crypto users to trust Ethereum. IMO, ETH is either going to remain at the current levels, or going to drop to around $100 per coin by 2022.
1502  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Any Altcoins growth potential under $10 on: July 09, 2017, 11:05:54 AM
Stellar Lumens , Waves, and Steem comes to mind. Perhaps you can add Golem as well. All these are priced below $10 per coin (Golem and Stellar Lumens are below $1 per coin), and they have great potential to grow.
1503  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bloody day trade on: July 09, 2017, 11:03:20 AM
So the most ludicrous pump in human history is finally faltering? What did anyone expect? Peoples memories here are pitifully short. Three or four months ago ethereum was 10 dollars.
And now ethereum is following reverse fibonacci sequence and is coming back to what was the price earlier, although it seems too good to be true that ethereum would go back again to $10, if in that case I'll sell all my bitcoins to buy ethereum.

Right now, ETH seems to have stabilized at around $240-$250 per coin. But if everything goes well for Bitcoin after August 1, then I expect the ETH prices to crash further. Who knows? There is even a possibility of Ethereum dipping below $100 per coin.
1504  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bloody day trade on: July 08, 2017, 12:39:29 PM
IMO, this is the minor dip before the big rise. Perhaps the speculators are waiting for August 1. I don't want to predict anything, but 90% chance is that there will be a big spike on the BTC exchange rates during the first week of August. However, there is a 10% chance of the prices crashing.
1505  Economy / Economics / Re: When to buy and sell bitcoin on: July 08, 2017, 12:33:47 PM
You can buy BTC at anytime. Because it is having such a great potential in the future. Although the prices have incraesed by close to 1,500% during the past 18 months, I believe that it still has the potential to rise another 300% to 500%.

And for the question when you should sell the coins, that is a decision which you have to take on your own.
1506  Economy / Economics / Re: So, you want to be rich? All of you ? on: July 08, 2017, 12:31:07 PM
Not necessarily, being rich brings a lot of complications as well, personally I prefer to have a life without worries is the best thing for me is to earn enough to not care about the bills and all of that but without being rich.

If you ask someone if he wants a free handout of $10 million, then I am sure that he will accept it (if he is not mentally handicapped). Being rich enables you to do a lot of things. It may not be able to purchase 100% of the things, but you will be able to buy 99.9999%.
1507  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Azerbaijan Launches Missile Attack on: July 08, 2017, 12:19:50 PM
Perhaps it will be better for the Azeris not to provoke the Armenians. The latter may be less in number, but their morale and fighting spirit is better than that of the Azeris. If the fighting breaks out once more, then I am afraid that Azerbaijan will lose even more territory, in addition to the 12% of the country which they lost during the Karabakh war.
1508  Other / Off-topic / Re: punishment for rapists on: July 08, 2017, 12:17:52 PM
Abusers need to get rid of the genitals so that they do not repeat attempts to rape. This is the surest way and the fear of losing the genitals will stop many from committing unlawful acts.

I wouldn't support such harsh punishments for normal rape. But in case the victim is killed after the rape, or in case the victim is below 14 years of age, then these sort of punishments can be given to the perpetrators (only if we are 100% sure about their guilt).
1509  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you hate christians? on: July 08, 2017, 12:16:34 PM
I was born to Christian parents, who were moderately religious. But I became an atheist when I grow up. I don't have anything against the Christians. My parents and some of my relatives are still Christian. But I regard Christianity as a backward religion.
1510  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russia is the most aggressive country on: July 08, 2017, 12:14:56 PM
Why they let those criminals in Russia? Very irrational  Shocked

Because the Russian politicians are on their payroll. Every year more than 100,000 youngsters die as a result of heroin addiction in Russia. And these Azeri subhumans have a monopoly on the heroin trade in Russia. During the last two and a half decades, they have caused the deaths of more than 3 million Russians (mostly youth).
1511  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Transaction fees on: July 08, 2017, 12:11:28 PM
I don't know whom you are talking about

But I think I made it pretty clear that I consider Bitcoin as a very risky asset right now (potentially turning into a toxic one in the near future), and presently I'm mostly in cash with part of my capital invested in Litecoin. So I actually put my money where my mouth is. For example, today I just missed buying a few more litecoins at a little below 44 dollars per coin. Somehow I expected the price to go a bit lower than that (likely to 40 dollars). And I have massive buy orders placed at prices below 35 dollars all the way down to 15 dollars though I don't think that the price is actually going to fall lower than 30 dollars any time soon. I'd rather expect it to surge over 100 dollars in the next few months

That is interesting. Could you please tell me the reasons why you chose Litecoin over the other alts (such as Ethereum, Ripple, Nemcoin, Stellar Lumens, and ETH Classic)? LTC is a bit too expensive now (it is trading at almost BTC0.02 per coin), and I am a bit afraid to purchase it at the current prices.
1512  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's going on? Bitcoin for the rich only? on: July 08, 2017, 12:08:51 PM
I am not a rich person, and I own a good amount of BTC. On the other hand, very few of the billionaires around the world has shown interest in Bitcoin. A number of them (such as Warren Buffet and Mark Zuckerberg) has even ridiculed BTC.
1513  Other / Off-topic / Re: What to do with my bitcoins ? on: July 08, 2017, 12:07:22 PM
Just hold them safely and securely. IMO, the prices are going to explode after August 1. A legalization by either South Korea or China can be huge. But it is important to have set targets. We need to learn from the history. There are a lot of examples, such as the Poseidon bubble of the 1969-70, and the dot-com bubble of the 1995-99.
1514  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Meet The Man Traveling The World On $25 Million Of Bitcoin Profits on: July 08, 2017, 12:01:46 PM
Great story. Good for him. I know that a lot of the early adopters dumped their coins even before Bitcoin reached three figures. A lot of them, who purchased BTC at $0.1 or $0.2 per coin dumped them, when the currency surged to $25 per coin in 2011. But I still have a feeling that he should have kept at least half of his coins for the future, rather than dumping 95% of them.

1516  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [BREAKING NEWS]: South Korea to Legalize Bitcoin!!!! on: July 05, 2017, 03:15:49 PM
I would believe this story when I see some official communication from the government of South Korea. "On the verge of legalizing" is not the same as "definitely legalizing". Nowadays, most of the crypto-coin news sites are after sensationalist stories, and they can twist the facts or hide some of them.
wow, i think so like you but i say if this is true so the south korean will get a new era of cryptocurrency world that was a dream who hold or buy sell bitcoin from their country. its great announcement of them. but I confidently tell that bitcoin is to be legalized in the whole world today or tomorrow & your comments also appreciable.

I don't think the news about South Korea's intentions to legalize Bitcoin were only on crypto-coin news sites. Yes, if google the news it looks like that's true. But don't forget that we google it in English. Most likely if we were googling it in Korean we'd have different results.

There is still no confirmation about the news, and the Bitcoin exchange rates are going down for the past 2-3 days. If the news was true, then there could have been at least a 5% spike in the exchange rates.
1517  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buy more bitcoin or wait for August 1st? on: July 05, 2017, 03:15:30 PM
I'm thinking of selling 50% of my alts to enter BTC before August 1st, in case it shoots up, and if it doesn't shoot up, then alts will dip anyhow and I can buy back cheaper....am I right or is that stupid?

That depends on how much of your portfolio is composed of alts and how much is accounted by BTC. If your portfolio is like 80% alt and 20% BTC, then there will be no harm in converting half of your alts to Bitcoin. On the other hand, if 80% of your portfolio is composed of BTC, then it may be better for you to hold on to your altcoins.
1518  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Burger King to Accept ... on: July 05, 2017, 03:01:38 PM
Are they going to mandate all their branches around the world to start accepting bitcoin or they would stay in russia for now? Tho i am excited for this because i am a burger king fan i am kinda afraid to pay more in fees than the burger that i've paid

Just checked with a Russian friend yesterday, and he told me that the Burger King employees in Vernadskogo Avenue have no idea about Bitcoins or the news that BK is going to accept BTC. As usual, it looks like the Coin Telegraph is churning out fake news in order to increase the readership.

As much as Coin Telegraph wants to increase traffic on their site, they should also think about the credibility of their articles. More and more people will continue taking their 'news' less seriously if this trend continues.

Seems like they have been doing this for quite a while. They have become experts in dishing out fake news, and they have been doing this ever since 2014 I think. Please check these outrageous articles from them:

1519  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What do you think of North Korea? on: July 05, 2017, 02:56:31 PM
Well it's country led by a lunatic who pretty much doesn't know how to put his mouth where his money is. Kim is a crazy guy who may cause a world wat because of his foolish antics. The scary thing is that he he has nuclear access and has close ties to china. Hopefully he gets put in his place soon before he does something that can affect all of us

Kim Jong-un is a lot different from his father and grandfather,he is educated in Switzerland and he is see how the world works beyond the borders of North Korea. The right of each country is to secure its defense, and I'm sure North Korea will not attack anyone.Even if that happened missile defense would very likely shut down any rocket+retaliation would mean the end of North Korea because I am sure that USA will hit them back ten times more.

I recently watched a documentary about North Korea and I have to admit I was surprised by some things.I recommend you take some time and look at this movie, the truth is not just what you hear and see on CNN.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=madZhwKI2dA

Kim knows that the only way to make sure that his country is not invaded, is to manufacture nuclear weapons along with the ICBMs needed to deliver them. They have already manufactured the nukes. Only the ICBMs are remaining.
1520  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Billions stolen from South Korean Bitcoin exchange on: July 05, 2017, 03:51:35 AM
not really!
any hack happens only to exchanges and possibly some small third parties, and first of all it is their own mistake and it could have happened to anything other than bitcoin. secondly it only affects traders and that has nothing to do with bitcoin's adoption.

Traders play a very important role in Bitcoin. They pump a lot of money in to the crypto-currencies, and a lot of ventures (especially the exchanges and investment sites) survive thanks to them. If the traders lose their money, it is not going to be good for Bitcoin. If they lose their investment in trading it is still OK. But robbery is never going to be good for anyone.
