1521  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 208: Holm vs De Randamie Info and Prediction Thread on: February 11, 2017, 05:14:40 PM
Holly Holm is looking ripped as hell, top shape. But then again, so was Ronda Rousey in the last fight, and we all know what happened.

Radamie is undefeated in kick boxing. Holm is also a top striker in the UFC. I have no idea who I would bet for.
1522  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins with SegWit support on: February 11, 2017, 03:57:10 PM
Did Litecoin really nees segwit or its a test for its big brother BTC ?
You can even have a solid argument for Litecoins but other coins you ask yourself why do they even need SeqWit, some don't even have a daily trade volume of $1000, so why do you want to implement SeqWit

for all of them pure simple hype, thats the only reason it has been implemented, litecoin also
Although there is disintegration seen in upgrades for Bitcoin miners, the proposal to use SegWit in litecoin benefits and the aim is for the market as an alternative to Bitcoin litecoin in key markets.
litecoin deployment to SegWit can make increases in value due utilities and this can make the miners back their positions.

The danger of all of this is the fact that if something goes wrong in the implementation of segwit on those coins, the segwit hatters will use it to throw even more hate on segwit's bitcoin implementation. But segwit for bitcoin is different and more secure, as explained by gmaxwell in reddit.
1523  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When will monero bear market end? on: February 10, 2017, 06:36:36 PM
I keep buying more and more btc....I think monero might be in a bear market until around 7 dollars based on th chart....thoughts?

It's impossible to know. At some point the big altcoins stabilize, bu  we never know how low they go. Once the price stabilizes at a low point, it's a good gamble to put some money on that altcoin and hope that it starts climbing back up again. But in crypto world anything can happen, we may thing the floor is established and it crashes harder.
1524  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Would you support Spoetnik if he had an ICO? on: February 10, 2017, 05:15:48 PM
Spoetnik said people would invest in his ICO, if he had one. Would you give money to this idiot?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1751268.40

When I invest in something, I look first if the technology or whatever im investing at, is worth anyone's money and could deliver some good gains, so I don't care who he is in principle.

I don't know him beyond being the guy with that penguin avatar I think, shitposts quite a bit sometimes, but I don't know much beyond that. If he had a killer technology that would make me rich I would invest, but chances are it would be another irrelevant IPO.
1525  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Everyone looses in the long run on: February 10, 2017, 04:08:53 PM
Not everyone. Some people get away with a constant streak of luck and then they retire with the millions they make, those are the winners that know when to stop, and that is the key right there to glory: have a few lucky strikes, be it in gambling or investments or anything else, then retire and never gamble again and live from passive income.
1526  Economy / Economics / Japan now #1 in volume on: February 10, 2017, 03:27:27 PM
It seems that Japan is now #1 in volume. China will start having less and less relevancy as other countries catch up in the importance of bitcoin. When this happens, we will see how 3 figures a BTC was always as cheap as hell. The days of chinese government backed price manipulation are numbered. PBOC trick to short the market is increasingly less effective as price recovers quickly. Shorters beware.
1527  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: lucky ! does it influences by a woman beside of us? on: February 09, 2017, 05:22:18 PM
It is exactly like lucky charms, thinking that you horoscope has aligned and the moons and stars will have an impact on your luck and whatnot. It just has 0 impact, we can't control luck because the very definition of luck means you cannot control it. You can only reduce it, and reducing it means working/spending energy in something.
1528  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do small investments make sense? on: February 09, 2017, 04:27:50 PM
Looks like shorting a lot of BTC for the last hours would have been a good gamble. I was expecting the dirty chinese government to try to short the market again and it indeed happened, let's just hope we don't go lower than the last crash, then it will be good for bitcoin since it shows his resistance.
1529  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What determines the price of Altcoins? on: February 08, 2017, 06:31:03 PM
There is no real factors that determines the price of Altcoins, it is what the market is willing to pay for it though some things like good news, new update, partnership etc may influence in price. Another thing is the whale pumping the price to unrealistic price

I think the prices of the altcoins depend on the bitcoin.
Altcoins are affected when the demand and confidence of Bitcoin decreases.
Not all altcoins depend on bitcoins because there times the price jumps up and some alts follow the trait so its difficult to determine factors that affect them but ”CONFIDENCE” in an altcoin is a good price booster.

Confidence in the price of everything in the market determines. That's why you're seeing so much increase in the price of bitcoin. People are investing in btc for their bitcoin confidence.

All the other altcoins came out after the bitcoin. If the confidence of the bitcoin is reduced, the confidence with the altcoins decreases.
relatively right mate, since bitcoin is the center for alts price and whatever bitcoin moves its also reflect to alts if we talk about value
its always btc that's makes alts priceless or valuable and with the strong movements of btc as of now i think another alt will show up and
try to rise accompany by btc.

The overall mentality is simple with alts: When bitcoin rises, all alts are at high risks to get deep into the red, so I wouldn't bother holding many alts right now. Bitcoin is too healthy, it resists all damage caused by those damn bureaucrats and the nasty BUcoiners from /r/btc fail to crash the price too. You simply can't stop this, you get in the winning train and enjoy.
1530  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Starting up a Cryptonote Coin for our micronation. on: February 08, 2017, 04:58:28 PM
Hello there, I'm making this thread in order to ask for some help in regards to a project I have in mind.

Me and a few people have started, about 2 years ago, a micronation and I personally dedicated some time to it even though it was just for fun. We wanted to create a community and we've gathered around 100 people but projects like this (a micronation) tend to fade if there's nothing to keep the people together such as real territories, real borders or anything palpable at all. That's why I came up with the idea of creating a coin for this. I've chosen the Cryptonote algorithm because this way any member of our community can mine with his/her own personal computer. Also, it will be PoW only. I will make a separate announcement page when things are getting closer to becoming reality.

The thing is, when I tried to make the coin happen I got stuck on compiling it and I ran into some problems, I also need some advice on how we should handle the nodes because we really lack the hardware and there aren't many willing to contribute with money. I don't need any changes to the basic algorithm just small details so there won't be much work for a professional dev. The way I will pay is by giving a part of the premine to the one that will help us. We're a small community and we would really appreciate the help.

The coin will be used probably for trading among our members or who knows maybe we'll expand. I hope this message will be received well, thank you in advance.

You must be rich as hell. Early bitcoin whale?

Anyway, I think what you should do is accept an already existing cryptocurrency, such as bitcoin. If you accept bitcoin in your micronation, you have already put yourself in the map and you will have a lot of support.

People starting altcoins are always seem as scammers that want to get other people's bitcoins, so good luck with your altcoin if you don't just accept btc.
1531  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do small investments make sense? on: February 08, 2017, 03:02:55 PM
The big fat price is usually that one when you invest a small amount but get incredibly lucky, I have seen people win jackpots after spending like 5 dollars and I have seen people lose 4 figures in gambling and they get nothing back. luck is everything in this life, we must be lucky or we will suffer, and the only way to get lucky is to try.
1532  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you bet on "Sports" games that you don't know? on: February 08, 2017, 12:26:55 PM
Doing sports betting without knowing about the game or without being interested in sports means that you're going to rely solely in luck. I think I would do it. After all, what's the difference when you bet on dice sites that you don't know what would be the output as well. There might be some "science" behind it if you analyze the game but you don't actually understand the game so what's the point of trying to understand the stuffs behind it.

It's just gambling. No need to take it so seriously.

Everything is about luck at the end of the day, but you can reduce luck in sports betting by betting on the usual winner, but it doesn't always work and the odds are always in the higher risk anyway. Its like the Rafa Nadal vs Roger Federer finals, nobody would have guessed that one.
1533  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: You have 10 seconds to post an altcoin that you think will go 100% in 3 months on: February 07, 2017, 05:24:47 PM
Iconomi, Komodo

Both were having a serious developer, and it's mean it will go to the moon soon. My guess the big whale has taken his big wall already dump his coin. Remember big dump by the whale and make the price is go to the below 40k satoshi. And i still have a lot of chance to buy more and more komodo.

I would like an Iconomi dump to buy cheaper, im still not entirely sure it's a good idea getting in now, specially while Bitcoin is rising and showing such strenght, most altcoins are sooner or later going to get dumped when the FOMO kicks in. We are going to hit a new all time high on bitcoin so I would expect all alts to go into the red.
1534  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do small investments make sense? on: February 07, 2017, 03:56:05 PM
It's just a waste of time sometimes to make small investments, sometimes it's better to research something a lot, and then take a big shoot and go all in on something, that's how you get rich.

The people that researched bitcoin back in the day and understood the potential and took a big risk are now millionaires.
1535  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: You have 10 seconds to post an altcoin that you think will go 100% in 3 months on: February 06, 2017, 11:41:51 PM
Ill go with ICN. Its gone up almost 3x the ico price in about 4 months , is ranked 11th on coin market cap right now, and the release of they're  platform is coming up any week . My humble opinion

ICN is looking at least stable, but nobody knows if/when devs or whales will dump big time crashing the price generating a good ol long ass red candle destroying the, so far, stable looking graph. We'll see how it goes, I may buy some just in case.
1536  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / You have 10 seconds to post an altcoin that you think will go 100% in 3 months on: February 06, 2017, 06:27:01 PM
Let's play a game. Post an altcoin of your choice that you think can give at least 100% gains in the next 3 months. Post the website and bitcoin talk thread and a small description of why you think it will pump.
1537  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: CoinMarketCap.com seriously needs to delist YOBIT on: February 06, 2017, 04:58:33 PM
This topic has two purpose:
1) show how Yobit is fake pumping shitcoins to make money
2) how market cap is a terrible thing for comparing and ranking altcoins.

Their pumping bot is out of control  Grin
most recently they pumped a dead 1 satoshi altcoin 80,563,100% (yes your eyes are seeing the number right!) and right now this coin is number 3 in market cap with only 0.41BTC (fake) volume and 0.00014000BTC price.

here is the coinmarketcap.com screenshot at the time of this happening:

and here is Yobit wallet page (disabling any deposits to prevent anyone from messing with their fake pump while they are doing it).

I guess it's the usual business with those websites. Basically those websites survive on 2 things:

1) Classic ad revenue model: people click on the ads
2) Exchanges and coin devs paying the website owner to get their stuff listed

So as soon as Yobit pays coinmarketcap.com owner he doesnt give a fuck about anything else.
1538  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do small investments make sense? on: February 06, 2017, 01:40:09 PM
When we think about investments we imagine investors with big sums of money, so for btc casino it would be 1 or more btc, for instance. However, the minimum amount you can invest is usually 0.01btc which is only 10$. Do you think such investments are profitable but you earn small sums or maybe they don't make sense at all? Can someone explain it to me?

It's always the same. The smaller the investment is, the smaller the risk and the smaller the reward.

The bigger the investment is, the bigger the risk and the bigger the reward.

At the end of the day you can't break even by taking decision, that is an illusion. It all comes down to luck.
1539  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why we still gambling while we always lose? on: February 04, 2017, 04:30:43 PM
In gambling we just know about two things
These are
Win or lose
But the question is when you do betting
You always lose
You do realize about it but why we still go through on betting place?!!!
Apologoze if my topic have already exist it just about my interesting about your opinion about my experiences

Not always, im sure even the most unlucky gamblers have in the past won, and that is why the people that is addicted, become hooked with gambling and never stop doing more and more gambling, they are searching for that feeling that winning gives you, and they will never stop they need that winning feeling, this makes them broke.
1540  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Gov attack throught BUcoin agenda comming soon on: February 04, 2017, 03:50:42 PM
https://twitter.com/Truthcoin/status/827695619355598852

Looks like The Powers That Be are scared that bitcoin manages to keep climbing back to 1000+ territory.

They tried with XT, then classiccoin, now that they realized their PBOC FUD is not working, its BUcoin time.

Luckily, the only thing they are going to accomplish is waste a lot of money, and in the small chance the disaster happens, it's time to dump since both sides will crash as we saw with the ETH/ETC debacle. Core will eventually emerge as the winner since they are objectively the best coders, but no side will win on overall bitcoin crashing and getting a shitfest on mainstream media, with an overall winner: governments and rothchild's gold (as intended, through the good old "divide and conquer" method which they have been using for ages every time something threatened the status quo)

Let's just hope common sense prevails and digital gold stays digital gold. BUcoin will soon join the list of failed powergrab attempts with false promises. They will not stop $2,000 from happening this year.
