1521  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Nintendo's rejection of gay relationships gives fans a lot to be angry about on: May 09, 2014, 04:32:30 PM
There's a reason children are so homophobic: they grow up in a world where they are almost exclusively, and in some cases completely exclusively exposed to straight relationships. Then, when they learn about people being gay, they naturally see this as an aberration, a deviant state.

You want homosexuality to be taught to the kindergarten kids? I disagree with that. When they reach 14-15 years of age, they can be taught about homosexuality. Until then, leave them alone.
No i don't want the kids to be teached about homosexuality in kindergarden!I don't want to be racisit but i am not a fan of homosexuals, and i also don't like the way media encourage them. But what can i do?from games to news you hear about homosexuality.
1522  Other / Off-topic / Re: If you can Teleportation............. on: May 09, 2014, 03:42:55 PM
This  is my first topic.... just for fun.
If you can Teleportation between countries around the world, which country would you frequent, and give the reason.

For me, I would like to Teleport to Italy and Spain.
I like the country seems it's beautiful place to be visited. Specially I  like the girl. Cheesy
If it will be a way to teleport myself and for free ,the i won't choose 1 or 2 countries ,i will want to teleport myself in every country starting with with east countries and finishing with America.
1523  Other / Off-topic / Re: How much does this painting worth? on: May 09, 2014, 03:37:15 PM
I say $5
$5 is to low as a price. If you don't like the painting at least you should appreciate the work and the time spend to create it.
1524  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Nintendo's rejection of gay relationships gives fans a lot to be angry about on: May 09, 2014, 03:28:41 PM
"a fan launched a social media campaign last month pleading with the gaming company for equality, but Nintendo insists their creative choice wasn't designed to offend."

If children at this age are not aware of sexual orientation then they wouldn't see any difference between gay and straight couples. But, of course, this is the point.

1525  Other / Politics & Society / Re: White Guys: We Suck and We're Sorry on: May 09, 2014, 03:08:16 PM
I'm pretty sure categorizing and homogenizing an entire race and sex of people as guilty of proliferating a purported culture of discrimination is, by it's mere definition, racist.  Yes, you guys in this video should say your sorry for sucking, because you are part of the reason racism still exists, and color is still an issue today.  We should have broken through the race barrier years ago.  Yet here you fools are, stirring the pot.  As a white man, I have nothing to apologize for.  I am keeping no one down.
1526  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Armed Feds Prepare For Showdown With Nevada Cattle Rancher on: May 09, 2014, 02:50:19 PM
A Ruby Ridge-style standoff is brewing in Nevada, where dozens of armed federal agents are closing in on cattle rancher Cliven Bundy over claims that Bundy has allowed his cows to graze illegally on government land, endangering a protected species of tortoise.

Vowing to take a stand for, “your liberty and freedom,” Bundy says he is prepared to be killed as authorities surround a 600,000 acre section of public land as a result of Bundy violating a 1993 Bureau of Land Management ruling which changed grazing rights in order to protect the endangered desert tortoise.

“With all these rangers and all this force that is out here, they are only after one man right now. They are after Cliven Bundy. Whether they want to incarcerate me or whether they want to shoot me in the back, they are after me. But that is not all that is at stake here. Your liberty and freedom is at stake,” Bundy said.

Bundy’s refusal to recognize federal authority over the land under dispute and his failure to pay tens of thousands of dollars in grazing fees stems from his assertion that his family’s history trumps bureaucracy.

http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?449087-Armed-Feds-Prepare-For-Showdown-With-Nevada-Cattle-Rancher
“My forefathers have been up and down the Virgin Valley ever since 1877. All these rights I claim have been created through pre-emptive rights and beneficial use of the forage and water. I have been here longer. My rights are before the BLM even existed,” Bundy said.

I hope they do not kill him...

Granted, he may be wrong, but don't show up at his house with over 200 jack booted thugs, snipers and heavy equipment. Ask the top law enforcement officer in the county (Sheriff) for assistance to serve and carry out the court order.

He may not be right, but the actions of the BLM were so over the top as to be inexcusable considering the circumstances.
1527  Other / Politics & Society / Re: our USA education system sucks and is obsolete on: May 09, 2014, 02:44:16 PM
The future of education will all be online.

Sure kids might go some place with teachers assistants or a type of "babysitter" for a few hours to work on their online assignments, but it will still all be done online.

Florida already offers a full, free curriculum online where you can get full credit including a high school diploma.

The teacher's union is unionizing teachers right out of a job.

On a side note regarding "education paradigms", most of college, and much of grad school could easily be done online. I haven't gone to a single lecture after like 4 months of starting, since I can get everything online and there are better teachers out there than what most schools offer (Khan Academy etc).

But with the huge demand for country club campuses and government guaranteeing loans (even if you pursue something like art history), tuition will never stop increasing.
Right now there's a proposal in California to have the state pay for STEM fields tuition. The student pays it back in the form of an income tax after graduation. The proposal is limited to STEM fields because "he doesn’t want a bunch of lazy arts students taking advantage of free tuition and paying back almost nothing from their negligible future salaries."
1528  Economy / Economics / Re: Health Plan Premiums Are Skyrocketing According To New Survey on: May 09, 2014, 02:06:23 PM
What trend do you guys see coming down the pipe the next few years?
The way employees buy insurance is going to change as is the way employers subsidize it. There was a good article in Barron's the week before last about the big consultants (AON, Mercer etc) ramping up the defined contribution private exchange model. That will, in theory, give employees access to a choice of more than one carrier and plan; but this model will probably impact employee costs more than the increases in the premium trends...
The same way pensions moved from the defined benefit model to the defined contribution/401k model.

1530  Other / Off-topic / Re: My favorite drink is........... on: May 09, 2014, 12:00:36 PM
the best drink....... coca cola

Yeah... the best drink for getting diabetes. More than 50 grams of sugar per serving and add to that all sort of other artificial chemicals and preservatives. (Diet coke is no better, it contains Aspartame).
Not only diabetes, coca cola is consider the main cause for obesity .Soda drinkers have higher cancer risk. While the federal limit for benzene in drinking water is 5 parts per billion (ppb), researchers have found benzene levels as high as 79 ppb in some soft drinks, and of the 100 brands tested, most had at least some detectable level of benzene present.
Coca cola  has been shown to cause DNA damage – courtesy of sodium benzoate, a common preservative found in many soft drinks, which has the ability to switch off vital parts of your DNA. This could eventually lead to diseases such as cirrhosis of the liver and Parkinson's.

i've tried to cut down on sugary drinks.. but i still consume them. i like iced coffee, but not too much caffeine. that shit makes me nauseated.

Some people have suggested me to replace sugar with Aspartame. But I refused, saying that at least sugar is a natural substance, while Aspartame is a chemical. Sugar, if consumed in normal quantities is not harmful.

sugar is in everything, a lots of it. "normal" to americans is a shitload of sugar.

you can use stevia to replace aspartame. it's natural and comes plant-based.
And what is the sweetest and the most natural than sugar, aspartane and stevia?..honey you can use it in any drink...some cold fresh lemonade with honey.
1532  Economy / Economics / Re: If Bitcoin was backed by Gold, how would it change its adoption? on: May 09, 2014, 10:11:55 AM
I think will be a good thing, most of the skeptical people will see it with better eyes a correlation between gold and bitcoin. Bitcoin and Gold price will go up.

Who is Julius Caesar?
I think Mao zedong is the most important.
Julius Caesar was arguably the greatest of the dictators of Rome, ruling from 49 BCE to 44 BCE. During his brief reign, Rome was transformed from a Republic into an Empire, and he set the path that Rome was to follow until its decline and eventual collapse.

1538  Other / Off-topic / Re: Oscar Pistorius case on: May 08, 2014, 11:15:38 AM
I wouldnt expect the trial to finish any time soon. He's clearly guilty of shooting someone through a closed door without ascertaining who it was, bearing in mind his gf was no longer lying next to him. If it was anyone else they would be in jail by now. I will wait to see what the court says before passing a final judgment but his arguments are moronic.
Looks like a history of abuse, and there's a girlfriend in a locked bathroom, and a guy explaining that his logic was, "Hey, who's in the bathroom? Better fire off a few shots." Not looking good for the guy.

Not to mention he seems to be a gun nut with an itchy trigger finger who just loves any excuse to use it. I can't comprehend or understand how anyone could buy his bullshit story. I mean, even if there was an intruder (or a suspected one), you'd wait till he at least attempts to open the door and not just blidnly firing through it.
Exacly! And it makes no sense :why would a girlfriend who you are intimate with lock herself into a bathroom to use the toilet. Why would you lock it! Most mature couples would even sit on the toilet with the door open. Too much variance on his testimony and too emotional for it to be real.
1539  Other / Off-topic / Re: Donald Sterling Racism Controversy on: May 08, 2014, 11:08:34 AM
The Clippers and Warriors need to do something to show Sterling that his actions were unacceptable and they are a united front against his twisted world view. It needs to be done in Game 5 though. I don't think not playing would be right because that's more punishing the fans as opposed to Sterling.
