1541  Economy / Exchanges / Best option to convert Payooner to BTC on: April 21, 2020, 04:05:25 PM
I am working with a project (not crypto related), I need some translator. Have never been with such things. I have been requested to get the translators. Hence, I'm thinking of hiring translator from bitcointalk. I have been asked to get paid with payooner but I am looking for BTC since I will hire the translator from here.
I don't have any idea, have never converted this pair. Please recommend me some best option to convert payooner to BTC.
1542  Economy / Exchanges / Re: How Binance STOLE my BTC, a WARNING to Others on: April 21, 2020, 03:48:54 PM

I agree what you said. They must have either remove daily 2 BTC withdraw advertising or allow any user to do so. But they also have their terms and conditions. I know this is common issue regarding almost all the centralize exchanges. But this is the thought from our side.
If they find anything suspicious, they have the right to ask KYC even if user have lower amount of withdrawal than 2 BTC. We don't know the origin of the BTC nor we know anything about OP's side. It's possible that OP's BTC was not legal (just saying). In that case, don't Binance have the right to call for KYC? We don't know anything from exchange view.
Changing IP is not a suspicious activity all the time if it gets changed only a few times. Since OP has probably logged in from an IP which might be used by other as well before OP, I guess it's possible. In that case, if it's true, Binance must call OP for KYC since one person can use only one active account.
1543  Other / Meta / An user spamming all over the forum on: April 20, 2020, 03:40:26 PM
User johnperino is posting with a link to his website. He has necro bumped a thread from 2013, posting the same link in couple of other threads as well.
I guess such user must be banned. Hence, I'm reporting him here.
Check out his all 3 posts- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2645667;sa=showPosts
All of his posts include the same link.
1544  Other / Off-topic / Re: [POLL] Which browser do you use for bitcointalk? on: April 20, 2020, 03:03:03 PM
Can't wait to be shocked yet again at how many people willingly use the Google Chrome browser spyware.
Nothing to be shocked, man. Chrome has around 70% usage share for the last half decade- https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Usage_share_of_web_browsers

Do you log in with an alt account on your mobile? If not, does it make sense using Tor on PC?
My alt was last active on September 13, 2019- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2679734
Using TOR browser from mobile device is a huge pain in the ass, hence, Chrome from mobile.

I've tried using the TOR browser but I encounter a lot of problems maybe because of my slow internet connection dealing with the captcha and re-login in TOR is annoying to me.
You have captcha bypass for that- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5042674.0
1545  Other / Beginners & Help / Need help for setting up a Lightning Network based service on: April 20, 2020, 02:45:10 PM
I'm interested in setting up an website for mobile recharge. It will be primarily available with Lightning Network. The purpose is to promote LN in my local; of course I would like to learn more about LN as well.
I have no idea how can I run one. The plan is simple. People can recharge through bitcoin LN payments. What's the step for setting up the LN? Do I need to maintain LN node? Give some lights on this, please.
1546  Other / Off-topic / [POLL] Which browser do you use for bitcointalk? on: April 20, 2020, 01:50:55 PM
I'm using TOR browser for log in bitcointalk. Which browser do you use when you log in bitcointalk? Some may use more than one browser as well. For instance, sometimes I use Chrome as well when I log in from mobile. In that case, vote for the option which you used most.
Well, it's nothing special. Got curious from this thread. You don't require to state it here if you are hesitating. Just voting on the poll is okay.
1547  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why did satoshi use "upload.ae" domain when uploading his pre whitepaper draft? on: April 19, 2020, 04:49:04 PM
It barely can be a project which Satoshi would own. He was maintaining privacy from the beginning. The site was probably offering file hosting for free. It's not impossible to get such a domain; no google search appear is needed for that. More or less all the domain "upload" with any extension would be offering file hosting services. Satoshi might be trying with all the extension one by one to get a free file hosting service.
1548  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Ullu plagiarized whitepaper and same team from Covid19coin on: April 19, 2020, 04:08:20 PM
You didn't cleared anything. You didn't respond to any of the accusations against you here. Rather you have created a new thread which also includes nothing at all.
1549  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning] GlobalCryptoX Exchange offering 20% BTC bonus on each deposit! on: April 19, 2020, 02:54:37 PM
Like you said, it's looking too good to be true and certainly they are another kinda scammers as of the same of Giveaway Scammer like Deposit X amount to receive X amount of BTC.
Tagged.
1550  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lightning Network questions on: April 19, 2020, 02:44:54 PM
Hello friends,

Thanks for all replies! I am very positively shocked that Electrum is implementing LN! I even had a look at their github, it's buzzing with commits. Do anyone know when will they release candidate? I wil be happy to test it. This could massively simplyfy things for me, I would just use Electrum like I use now, but with LN functionality.
You can test it from here- https://github.com/spesmilo/electrum, it's not official version. Make sure you are verifying the signature. To learn more about this, you can check this thread as well- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5221146.0
1551  Economy / Reputation / Re: Fake Translators on: April 18, 2020, 03:55:51 PM
I don’t know what this topic has to do/proof using a fake or auto-translation, but a person can speak several languages and may have friends who translate the topics for him.
Yeah, it's possible to someone make an agency of translators and get works from here; which I doubt anyone would be interested to work on such projects where reward is never guaranteed.
I have checked the Hindi translation as well & it's looking like automated translation as well. He might be an Indian (from the username) but I guess still he is using automation translation.
1552  Other / Meta / Re: [POLL]Dear Forum Administration, Merit Question on: April 18, 2020, 03:33:03 PM
I am curious why would one logout
Why not?

That's what I am trying to understand, why one is usually used to logout from a bitcointalk account or any other media if he/she owns the device he used to log in.
Do TOR keep you logged in after closing the browser? I don't have idea about if it can be kept logged in by any way; at least I have no such known way.
1553  Other / Meta / Re: [POLL]Dear Forum Administration, Merit Question on: April 17, 2020, 04:14:19 PM
Why the hell is it clickable on guest mode? Long ago, I have been deceived a few times  Huh

I have a different question: why do you even log out?
Are you kidding? I guess.
Most people here use (should use) TOR and you are logged out by default when you closed the browser. May be marlboroza can't wait such long for checking the merit logs.
1554  Other / Meta / Re: What's the punishment if someone PMs you bad words on: April 16, 2020, 03:59:06 PM
If it's not spam but something "personal", I'd just add the user to my PM ignore list and forget about him.
I got your point. That's the easiest solution and that's what I am likely to follow as I already have said I'm not tempted nor felt offended. But what's the forum standing on that? There must be a rule for that or anyone is free to use slang on PM and forum won't take any step?

i will make a topic in reputation tho to assure he will be tainted red.

C'mon mate. It's not an issue of tainting, I guess trust system isn't designed to tag someone for such a reason.
1555  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Gold Leaving Bitcoin(The Digital Gold) Behind? on: April 16, 2020, 03:39:26 PM
The overall GOLD market size is supposed to be more than $11 trillion as of now; on the other hand, bitcoin market size is one tenth of a trillion as of now.
GOLD is widely well-known to a lot of investors while BTC is far from that. It's okay to compare both but comparing both on changes within a year isn't enough to get the actual output. GOLD is seen as a store of value to everyone including investors to some people who use as ornaments while BTC is yet to be store of value due to the high fluctuations.
1556  Local / Marketplace (India) / Re: Recharge for BTC on: April 16, 2020, 03:12:10 PM
Thank you TheUltraElite, you have been so generous on the local board.
1557  Other / Meta / What's the punishment if someone PMs you bad words on: April 16, 2020, 02:57:55 PM
Will it be counted as unsolicited spam if I report the PM? Well, I'm not tempted nor feeling offended with the PM but I would like to know what is the forum standing on such case? Posting such bad words on public is okay as per the rules (as we know we have TMAN  Cheesy) but what's the rule for PM in such case?
1558  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: P2P online games with BTC on: April 15, 2020, 04:32:05 PM
Maybe you can play some 8 ball pool over the Facebook messenger as we do with my friends.
We put bet like 0.01 BTC for a best of 9 games or first to win 5. You should be playing with a bet with the person you know or you sure they will pay if you win.

That's a good solution but I have no one to play with IRL, nor I want to reveal my identity here although mistakenly, I had done it long ago. I got an old thread where people were asking to play such bets through facebook; nevertheless, I'm looking for a gambling platform particularly which isn't available so far.
1559  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: IPL Mutual Pool Discussion. on: April 14, 2020, 03:49:50 PM
From the looks of it, we possibly are not going to see IPL this year. This 2020, literally sucks without entertainment.
Jeez! That sucks!
We can't see IPL this year and almost none of the sports possibly within next couple of months. How the sportsbet bookie will survive and the gamblers? I was looking for p2p games which can be played with BTC and no luck there's as well.
1560  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Fake roulette giveaway by brand new account on: April 14, 2020, 02:44:04 PM
It's being a while I'm watching such scam. I remember I won around $1700 and was asked to deposit 0.015 BTC to activate the withdraw   Cheesy I knew that's what I was going to face. They'll come back times to times & we have nothing to do other than reporting them to be nuked.
