1541  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Klitschko vs Josua Info and predictions on: February 04, 2017, 02:48:32 PM
That's pretty crazy. One of the most controversial split decisions ever happened very recently. Adrien Ward vs Sergey Kovalev. Kovalev clearly won, but the judges gave Ward a win. I was shocked, and so I pissed off since I lost money. Those fucking American judges need to be fired.
Boxing had more scandals and match fixing than any other sports in my opinion. They have different governing bodies and there was a scandal where  IBF President was selling ranks for money   Cheesy Jake LaMotta incident is another thing,so i am sure these matches are fixed and if you are lucky you win the bet  Grin
Klitschko Vs Josua is held in London and if that is the case Josua has the advantage here unless and until Klitschko KO him.

The good thing about boxing is it's pretty obvious when a fight is fixed. Adrien Ward vs Sergey Kovalev is an example of an obviously fixed fight where judges had priority on Adrien Ward winning, so as long as Adrian Ward didn't get KOd it's clear that he had a guaranteed win.

Those usually always put pressure into the winner to fight again tho.
1542  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Good coins on Bittrex that aren't on Poloniex? on: February 03, 2017, 07:03:17 PM
There's no such coin like that. If the coin is good Poloniex list it already. Not to mention paid coins just to get listing in Polo, I'm talking about "good" coins. They don't need to pay any exchange to get listed. Bittrex is not that big exchange site, Polo still rule the market. To me good coins are XMR etc. basically coins which regular daily volume over 300 BTC in Polo.

I disagree. What about Waves? Waves seems like a cool project, but it's not on Poloniex. Iconomi also seems quite interesting, but its not on Poloniex, only on Kraken, so as you see, there are tons of shitcoins in Poloniex that shouldn't be here, and some good ones aren't there yet.
1543  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: AlphaBay,Hansa Market and Outlaw market accepting Dash on 8th February? on: February 03, 2017, 06:18:51 PM
Would be a smart move to make, as XMR is quickly building up a reputation as "drug money". If I were a vendor I'd like to diversify and hold as little Monero as possible. With that being said, and to mimick the poster above me, where is your proof? Without any validation to this rumor it means nothing.

And how is that a problem when XMR is supposedly anonymous? And also you can exchange your XMR for BTC once you are done doing your shaddy business.

So how is Dash entering the picture here? It has to offer something superior to XMR.
1544  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Monero under scrutiny of the FBI on: February 03, 2017, 04:46:33 PM
WOW so much sad pathetic fail with the cliche'd excuses here.

Since i posted last..

pereira4 = Bitcoin.. Bitcoin.. Bitcoin.. but but but, Bitcoin did this and Bitcoin did that.  Roll Eyes

Problem.. i addressed this on my 2nd to last comment here and more than that too (ignore the facts more)

Retort fail.

Where is that comment? I don't see how you addressed that.

Im just saying, bitcoin can make FBI attempts to trace people's coins, but a mixer like helix under Tor seems like it would frustrate their attempts to properly trace it.

What im also saying is, eventually everyone using crypto will be labelled a potential terrorist, that's why anonimity by default should be what we need. Monero is good because of that, but the problem is, they don't really solve the node centralization problem. Their dynamic block size approach will make the network prone to nodes being centralized, which makes the coin less anonymous than bitcoin.
1545  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: February 03, 2017, 02:58:53 PM
It was the final I wanted, Rafa Nadal vs Roger Federer, what a classic match, unfortunately I lost money because I went for a Nadal win, but at least I had fun watching the match, you can't always win... it was really close.

Considering Rafa is still 30 and Federer is 35, it proves Rafa has at least 5 more years to become number 1 again with realistic possibilities.
Well yeah many would have gone for Nadal to win the match as he was in ultimate form ( Better when compared to Federer ) but Roger just gave his 100% and luck favored him many times but it was one hell of a match and a fantastic final . Happy for Roger and as you said Nadal still has time , I am sure he will get to top soon.

Luckily I didn't gamble a lot of money on the match. It's also really interesting to look forward for more Federer performances. He is 35 already and rich as hell, has demonstrated that he can still win major tournaments, so we will see if he has the motivation to keep playing at top level.
1546  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you feel shameful for being a gambler? on: February 02, 2017, 05:31:27 PM
The most shameful experience that you can get in gambling is when you start spending money that's not yours into those nasty games like dice, slots, blackjack... if at least you use it to train in poker and become better, but those are just wastes of money.

In any case using other peoples money is a sign of gambling addiction.

1548  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there any place to gamble IF the Mayweather vs McGregor fight will happen? on: February 02, 2017, 01:27:04 PM
New movements in the Mayweather camp:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=buR4rCjqmxQ

""There's only one fight that I want...if I came back to entertain the fans, there's only one entertaining bout...Mayweather vs. McGregor...that's the only fight that I want...keep our fingers crossed and see where we can go from here," stated retired undefeated former pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather, who spoke more about Conor McGregor's recent declaration that he's putting his UFC career on hold to focus on a boxing match with him."

Looks clear to me. Both fighters know the big numbers are on this fight. I think it's happening.

Thats a good news then. However i know things will be in favor of mayweather tho i love to see how mcgregor is going to dump  mayweathers face inside the ring. Or else if mayweather continue to run then maybe after pacman this can be the worst fight in the history totally just a waste of money
He said he came bank to entertain fans, but the big question is, had he really entertained the fans in his entire carrier as undefeated boxer?

I guess this guy talk too much but in terms of entertainment, Mcgregor is doing what it looks like. If this fight will happen, I would not hesitate to go with Mayweather but to tell you people, I am not gonna watch this game live. I came here for the money and I know Money Mayweather will deliver.

I think he had many exciting fights, lately as he got older his style got a lot more defensive only and only taking advantage of his jab technique and extra reach as the attack factor, but is clear that Mayweather is one of the best boxers of all time in any case.

Who knows, maybe McGregor gets lucky and somehow manages to catch him with a strong blow and KO's him, that would be insane... thats why a lot of people want to buy the fight. But chances are McGregor will get his ass jabbed as usual.
1549  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there any place to gamble IF the Mayweather vs McGregor fight will happen? on: February 01, 2017, 05:38:26 PM
Now I am confused I just heard from my friend it is now more likely that a fight vs Manny Pacquiao will happen. According to him the source of the news is from Top Rank Boxing. Maybe Floyd is threatened because the Pacman is willing to fight him as soon as possible?

Pacman vs McGregor? Nah.. it won't happen.
Simple reason: Dana White (UFC) doesn't like Bob Arum (TR).
I don't know where the hate for Bob Arum comes from,
But I heard interviews from Dana White saying that he don't want to business with the Old Man.
Maybe if Bob Arum is gone or retired as TR boss, then in the future we will see them both whether the Octagon or Boxing ring.

All matches from big boxers vs UFC fighters will take a lot of time to create, because it's two different sports. Mayweather vs Manny took ages, this will took a lot of time too, but there are good indicators that the fight will happen either this year in xmas or early 2018. I would forget about any other guys but Floyd, everyone wants to see Floyd vs McGregor and not some other boxer.
1550  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Monero under scrutiny of the FBI on: February 01, 2017, 04:15:53 PM
if the transactions are not connected to child porn, arm's dealership and drugs. There are nothing to worry about.
How do you prove that they aren't?
Monero is made for crime basically, it will never be allowed to succeed by the powers that be.

Bitcoin at least allows an online 'papertrail', Monero has as its USP something that will ultimately make it unusable by the wider public!

Bitcoin can be as anonymous as needed too. You are delusional if you think the powers that be will allow bitcoin be succesful at a mainstream level, they will ban it if that ever starts to happen. They are leaving it alone because its still too small for them to care, but as soon as the marketcap starts getting bigger they will try to crash it, that's why we need more anonimity, crypto is destined to be an underground thing that challenges governments, it will never be just another accepted currency open for governments to inspect.

Also, you could have received coins that are linked to criminal activity and you can get into problems because of the open blockchain... not good.
1551  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So who the hell is still supporting BU? on: February 01, 2017, 01:23:25 PM

And you don't see a problem with that? Isn't bitcoin supposed to be more open than that?

Don't get it twisted, what im saying with Core calling the shoots means that they are still the number 1 coders doing all the hard work.

Most BU people are trolls and the software is not as good in any case.

I'm sad to say that I now support and run BU. Core doesn't call the shots anymore because their last few releases aren't being adopted.

Core IS the number one dev team by miles, but they are stubbornly clinging to the poorly supported, overcomplicated, and likely failed Segwit solution, and they are not listening to the miners or the critics. Running BU is the only way to communicate to them that Segwit needs to go away. Meantime, Ver and his team will gain more steam with BU because Core has buried their heads in the sand. Likely we'll be at a deadlock for 6 months+. I think when BU passes Segwit hashrate we might see some debate or compromise proposals. I've already heard talk of merging Segwit with larger block support.

Miners currently benefit from small blocks because fees keep climbing. Anyone who has waited 2 days for their transaction to confirm knows the horrible feeling that is ironically similar to getting your Paypal account banned.  At some point when BTC fees are too high and/or transaction times are unacceptably high, more people will switch to an altcoin like Monero, which has better anonimity than Bitcoin anyway. Bitcoin is running on inertia with name recognition, exchange support, and Wall Street money.

I would be truly saddened if Bitcoin faded into obscurity due to this conflict.

So you think Andreas Antonopulos is wrong? (someone who is always neutral and is learning about bitcoin stuff 24/7)

Get real, the only thing not tested here and proven to fail is BU. If BU gets anywhere notably we are fucked. Segwit is safe compared to BU. BU depends on Core's hard work, if Core stopped updating their software, BU wouldn't have anywhere to rip off and copy and paste code from, it would be the end.

Here is Andreas explaining why segwit is the way to go:

Listen.. im okay with other people making their own bitcoin software, what I disaprove is /r/btc trolls talking shit about Core developers all day, when everytime they have tried to hard fork, they do so thanks to riping off all the Bitcoin Core's code and changing a couple of things (again, while taking FUD about Core)

Most BU people are trolls and the software is not as good in any case.

BU has proven to be unreliable, untested software developed by amateurs, who the hell is still delusional enough to support those guys instead of Core?

It's time to wake up and admit defeat, Core wins again. BU is joining the list of hardfork attempts that failed along with XT and Classic soon.

Core calls the shoots and everyone copies then, then they tweak something here and there and manage to fuck up bigly.

We are lucky BU is irrelevant. If this happened and BU was as big as Core is, we would have ended up in a tricky ETH/ETC style situation with the consequent disaster.

Looks like some guys will never learn. They think magic solutions exists to the current issues, BU being nothing but a failed magic trick attempt.

Now if they could behave as adults and start signaling for segwit as advice by every expert on the field including Andreas Antonopoulos, we could move on from this mess and continue improving.
1555  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the altcoin era over ? on: January 30, 2017, 05:16:30 PM
As long as we have an active market with tokens to buy and sell i'll be happy even if bitcoin is the only relevant blockchain.

We may have a lot of new assets as new applications are found when bitcoin sidechains are released, since a lot of developers may not feel confident with ethereum and will bitcoin sidechains instead.

As far as altcoin pumps... NAUT just went up 134% for some reason, so you can still make big gains.

Look up ICONOMI

If you aren't convinced that it will be the #3 in market cap within 2 years I will buy you a pizza and have it shipped to your door. Your choice of toppings.

Not sure about Iconomi.

The idea seems good, but what stops the people doing the investing to get the money and run? who is controlling them?

Also, can you store the tokens offline and get the dividends paid? I don't want to hold the damn coins in some online website because that will end up in getting them stolen.

I think we are all trying to find that one that will take us to the top, a few that I am in and watching for a long time are:

XEM - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=654845.0
COVAL - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1652345.0
WBB - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=952619.0

Oh and Chronobank seems decent, you never know!

Are the times of getting rich with an alt over? Nah, there will always be one.

What do you in any of those coins that make you think they can deliver massive % of profits?

They have limited supply or are inflationary? I dont see why anybody would invest in inflationary currencies unless they offer something revolutionary to the table.
1558  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / What is the next 1000%'er? Are the times of getting rich with an alt over? on: January 23, 2017, 03:40:55 PM
Im trying to find the right coin to invest, but that, I can't find. I wish that the possibility of a coin giving us performance like Bitcoin existed, but we will never get that again.

With the exception of Monero's insane pump, or ETH's... what else is out there?

Those are already beaten horses. We need to find a project that has real possibilities to pump hard that's really cheap right now, and the pump must have STRONG solid volume (those flash pumps and dumps are useless), and I see nothing but bullshit out there.

Are the times of getting rich with an alt over?
1559  Economy / Speculation / Re: Safe to say Bitcoin "probably" won't go lower than $600-$700 on: January 23, 2017, 02:32:34 PM
You can scream it from the hilltops, my man.  It would be no crazier than any of the other predictions around here.  But I'd disagree.   We could certainly go that low or lower.  You've seen how volatile this past month has been.   There's no good reason why we couldn't drop to 700.  Or $200 for that matter.

There is a very single explanation as to why we will not go as low as $200... the answer is very clear: because there is a lot of people waiting to enter the market and any drop is good news for those waiting to get in.
1560  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there any place to gamble IF the Mayweather vs McGregor fight will happen? on: January 23, 2017, 12:28:43 PM

So you want to talk about the casuals as if they do not anything about boxing. But I ask you, was the fight organized only for the boxing experts and hardcore fans? Of course not or else it will not make any money. That is why they hyped it in the first place. It is more of a business and less of a sport these days. Gone are the days of the true great fighters like Hagler, Hearn, Leonard and Duran. Those fighters never disappointed amid the hype. Watching Anderson Silva in the octagon doing nothing is more entertaining than the Pacquaio versus Mayweather fight.

Accept it. It was one of the most boring fights in the history of boxing.

Haha although it's funny but you are true. I would rather watch anderson doing nothing but still entertain myself than watching that boring fight + mayweather won like what? haha are they serious?

But still the interest shows up when mcgregor wanted to fight a whore in boxing then after that if ever that mayweather would still won i would accept but he have to also get an MMA licensed and fight mcgregor inside the octagon haha.

I can see how the fight will happen right now between Conor and Floyd. Conor will go after his opponent around the ring and Floyd will counter. He can hit Conor and guess what? No knock out power from Floyd. If Conor can get one lucky straight to the chin that would knock floyd out. But we all know Floyd does not want to get it. He is there for the money.

Mayweather has been punched hard in the past and has resisted all of the big hits. People forgets he has a strong chin because he barely gets hit. Go watch more fights.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ofeqQ_ljCk

As you can see here, he has taken big shots, still managed to come back and win.

It is quite funny on how you predict the certain game. Tho mayweather loves to run i could really say that he can absorbed some hard punches because after all he has pretty much solid face( you can see it anyways) Grin Grin

Sorry but Mayweather will kick Conor McGregor's ass. He will outboxing him and make him look like an amateur, it's just how it is. Also people are judging McGregor's power with UFC gloves. With boxing gloves he would be a soft puncher, using bloxing gloves is a different game.

Well i don't really consider mayweather's style as kick ass at all. Running around and hugging opponents are a good technique to outpoint anyone and i agree that being a technical fighter, floyd has mastered these to perfection. I agree also that if the fight ever happens and if it would be pure boxing, we'd all see a very boring same fight as with most mayweather fights are, even with someone as explosive as connor. I just don't think anyone can counter mayweather's technicality when it comes to boxing

Floyd Mayweather when he was "Prettyboy Floyd" and not "Money Mayweather" he was a knockout artist. He had 90% knockout ratios during his first 20 fights.

He was a complete fighter. Then has he got older he lost his knockout power and won on defensive skills only.

In any case, go watch more of his recent fights. The Canelo fight was a masterclass in boxing, and this is what will happen to Conor McGregor. Canelo was a top ranked boxer, imagine what will happen with an amateur like Conor. Canelo got his ass whooped, McGregor can get hurt. You don't need Tyson's knocking power to cause damage. Repeated hitting will fuck you up.
