Why the DIY when you can get a hardware wallet cheap?

Better not to use any more third parties than necessary. You are already giving up some privacy using Electrum servers. Just use a password you never share online. You can do cold storage with Electrum using two computers, but it is easier to use a Nano S to manage your private keys.

Sounds like Multibit HD should really be removed from the list of recommended wallets at bitcoin.org considering all the bugs and complaints.

Here I'll save you some work. Recent auctions for Kialaras and winning prices: - 2014 Original - 0.5 bitcoin
- Silver - high serial numbers: 0.7 - 0.9 bitcoin
- Silver - low serial numbers: 1.4 bitcoin
- Gold - 3.25 bitcoin
There were 1500 2500* 2014 Originals made, 250 Silver and 100 Gold. *However only ~1300 are in circulation, with 1200 scrapped by Max. Corrected the numbers for you ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Just going by what is in the public domain. Kialara confirmed here that parts to make 1000 Originals were scrapped and implied that between 1450 and 1500 were sold. Are you privy to personal communication?

Bitcoin has not made a real new ATH until Bitstamp price breaks $1350 to confirm.

Maybe you could give an idea of the price you accepted originally, since you're looking for that?

- Silver - high serial numbers (over 200): 0.7 - 0.9 bitcoin
- Silver - low serial numbers: 1.1 (under 100) - 1.6 bitcoin (under 10)
- Gold - 3.25 bitcoin (sales are rare)
There were 1450 to 1500 2014 Originals made, 250 Silver and 100 Gold.

Mixers no longer work. The coin analytics companies can identify and see past mixers now and have been for awhile. If you need to anonymize bitcoin you have to jump to an opaque blockchain and back, and take care on how you do it to avoid timing analysis.

If you have been looking for a leather slip case for Kialara Originals, Silvers or Golds check Amazon for iPhone SE or 5S cases. Here is one I found that fits snug and has a tab to pull to lift out. Should work for the 'To The Moon' also will just be a looser fit for the smaller size.

If you put one of your bitcoin addresses in https://www.walletexplorer.com and see that one of the inputs traces back to a known gambling or suspicious hot wallet well, you would have a problem if you tried to sell that bitcoin on Coinbase. walletexplorer.com is not really up to date or actively maintained any more as the developer now works for a paid service chainalysis.com.

Something unexpected will happen to cause a $250 - $300 down day that is the nature of bitcoin. Those who are ready know this and use the flash crashes to stock up by putting lowball bids in.

If it says that the coins are tainted, you should run them through a reliable mixer/tumbler and they'll come out clean and much harder to trace as well. Bitmixer sets fees of 0.5%, so it wouldn't take too much of a dig into your money.
You'll probably be okay, but people who deal with cash want to stay anonymous and could be criminals, so you'd be best off selling after covering your tracks.
Mixers are no longer reliable. There is bitcoin analytics software on the market which can trace bitcoin through mixers. You should expect companies like Coinbase who are licensed off ramps to fiat to carefully check incoming bitcoin. Everyone has heard stories of Coinbase closing accounts without reason, well this is why.

Try checking the address at https://www.walletexplorer.com/ to see if any interesting known wallets come up. This is the only site I know available to public which links bitcoin addresses to names.

Hey there! What do you think about a portfolio consisting of: - Ripple - NEM - Bitbay - Bata - and maybe 2 to 3 more coins.. Any suggestions? Thanks Any cryptocurrency portfolio should be mostly bitcoin with minor holdings in a few of the top ten coins depending on your research. Maybe 80% bitcoin and 10% each Ether and Monero. But it is your money:) Most altcoins are pump and dumps. Ether and Monero do bring something new to the table.

People don't give enough love to Electrum. I think it is the best all around wallet out there. The latest version does a great job of estimating fees and also lets you mark a transaction as replaceable so you can bump the fee up as needed. The Android version is just as good as the desktop, the only feature lacking is hardware wallet support. I hate having bitcoin wallets write to /appdata/ and Electrum comes in a portable version you keep in a folder on your desktop or carry on a flash drive. Support is very good also. You can reach the developer here on the forum if you have a problem.

That's what I don't understand. It's been 6 hours and from that chart it should of been confirmed by now?
The fee chart at https://bitcoinfees.21.co/ is a best guess but when the network is very busy can take longer. If you are in a hurry always use a higher fee. If you use a good wallet like Electrum you can mark the transaction as replaceable; if it does not confirm quickly with default fee you can click on the transaction in the wallet and bump the fee up. The blockchain.info wallet is probably the worst on the market for estimating the proper fee to use. We get more complaints on late transactions from users of that wallet than any other. Relax, your transaction will confirm just not as fast as you hoped.
