1541  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League top scorer prediction 2022-2023 on: September 12, 2022, 10:02:52 AM
Why limit the ranking to only three players?
You forgot to include Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho from Manchester United, Gabriel Jesus from Arsenal and Pierre Erick Aybameyang from Chelsea. I also think that Darwin Nunez from Liverpool might score more goals than Mohamed Salah.
The big favorite for becoming the top Premier League scorer in season 2022/2023 is Erling Haaland in my opinion.
Tottenham needs better midfielders to supply Harry Kane with enough assists in order for him to score more goals. The Manchester City midfielders are better than Tottenham's midfielders.

This could result in people of the current era developing larger brains. Becoming smarter. Which might give us hope that we can better overcome some of the obstacles life throws at us.

It took thousands of years for the homo sapiens sapiens to develop a bigger brain. Evolution takes a long time.
I actually think that internet makes us dumber, not smarter. The easier access to information makes our brains lazy. We don't properly analyze the tons of the information that we get online, which makes everything even worse.
The amount of online scams doesn't develop our critical thinking. If less people were falling into online scams, the scammers would simply find new ways to scam.
Living an unhealthy life makes us dumber, because the digestive system is really important for optimal cognitive function.
Sitting in front of a computer for hours and using a smartphone 24/7 definitely doesn't seem healthy.
1543  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Censorship in Bitcoin online forums on: September 12, 2022, 06:20:26 AM
I recently made a post on Reddit calling out market manipulation using Bitcoin. This post was removed from /r/Bitcoin without notification or reason.

I think there is an army of bots watching certain social media sites to ensure certain topics aren't discussed.

I'll be spending a few Satoshi to embed the message in Blockchain as it's been censored on social media.

Unlike social media, Blockchain cannot be censored by bots.

This is actual utility beyond just recording transactional records.

This is Reddit after all. What else are you expecting? The big subreddits on Reddit and highly moderated.
You can't even post on big subreddits if you Reddit account isn't old enough and you don't have enough karma.
Do you have a developed Reddit account? Perhaps you broke some of the subreddit rules.
What was you post and what was the market manipulation? I don't think that some mod is going to delete your post just because you are writing about BTC market manipulation.
The blockchain cannot be censored, but I doubt that the blockchain is convenient enough to be used as a censorship-free replacement of social media.
1544  Economy / Economics / Re: 'We don’t have enough' lithium globally to meet EV targets, mining CEO says on: September 11, 2022, 10:21:44 AM
Batteries won't be created by using Lithium in the not-so-distant future.
There will be Natrium-Sulfur, Graphene or Liquid metal batteries that will replace the Li-Ion batteries.
The new kinds of batteries will be cheaper, easier to produce and recycle and their capacity to store electricity will be greater than the Li-Ion batteries. Unfortunately we will have to wait a few decades, before the mass adoption of such modern batteries.
Yes, Afghanistan has lots of natural resources. Good luck trying to mine them. Grin
There are no infrastructure, logistics and qualified work force. Importing capitals, equipment and qualified workers is close to impossible.
USA had troops and administration in Afghanistan for 20 years and their success in modernizing the country was little to none. I don't think that any other country would succeed in building a mining industry in Afghanistan.
1545  Economy / Gambling / Re: Decentraly.co - Your Place for Crypto Sites on: September 11, 2022, 06:28:04 AM
Hello and welcome to Bitconitalk.
Your website looks decent enough. Your list of Top 5 casinos, poker sites, dice sites, etc. seems questionable.
It would be nice if you elaborate more about your criteria for including those particular casinos in your lists.
I guess that you have posted only referral links in your "Buy crypto" page. I wonder how the people can be convinced to click on them, verify their IDs and buy crypto from those exchanges.
Promoting Cryptotab browser and Brave browser seems pointless to me.
I'm surprised you didn't include a NordVPN affiliate link in your "Crypto tools" page. AFAIK, NordVPN offers good commissions. Grin
It's funny how the word "decentralized" remains the ultimate buzzword in the crypto world and every business tries to use it for branding/marketing purposes (even though some crypto businesses have nothing to do with decentralization).
Good luck with this project, OP.
1546  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Regulations on proof of work might be coming on: September 11, 2022, 05:52:50 AM
The governments can find a thousand excuses to continue oppressing the Bitcoin mining industry. This will continue forever.
I'm sure that the Bitcoin miners in the US will try as much as they can to abide by all the ridiculous rules and regulations, that put discriminate them in comparison to other industries, that are way more damaging to the environment and are wasting way more energy.
Even if the BTC miners lose the battle in the USA, they will move overseas and find a better place.
My hope is that solar panels and wind turbines will become cheap enough so that there won't be a problem for the miners to build their facilities in any country in the world. The problem is cooling down the mining hardware, which limits the amount of locations, where the miners can build a facility.
1547  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All Hail The Queen! An Outlook Into UK's Crypto Ownership and NFTs Market. on: September 09, 2022, 10:14:54 AM

How does the demise of Queen Elizabeth II affect the UK crypto market? Let's discuss.

It doesn't. Period.

So basically a bunch of shitcoins and scam NFTs were created for a quick cash grab. Some people simply want to make money out of every event. There's a special place in hell for such people. The "69 years NFT" seems like a joke. Some people have a dark sense of humor I guess.
Most of the non-Anglo-Saxon world doesn't care about the British monarchy or the state of the UK crypto markets.
I'm sure that cryptocurrencies have a future in the UK.
1548  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Rise of Mobile Gambling Is Leaving People Ruined and Unable to Quit on: September 09, 2022, 06:48:06 AM
I have always thought that online gambling via a smartphone isn't as convenient as online gambling via your laptop.
I guess that things are changing are the online casinos are becoming more mobile friendly and more convenient than before.
I've never gambled on my Android device. It's kinda hard for me to concentrate on the game.
Anyway, this seems like a big problem and the only solution seems to be banning all online casinos from access via mobile devices.
I'm not sure how this can be implemented and how the casinos will be legally forced to abide by such rules.
1549  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN IS NOT DEAD! on: September 09, 2022, 06:27:42 AM
The process of Bitcoin mining wastes around 0.6% of the global energy.
The world is not in a energy crisis. There are enough oil, gas and electricity to cover the global demand at an affordable price.
The three main factors causing energy prices to go thru the roof are:
1. The so called "Green deal" in Europe and all those green fanatics, who want to dump nuclear energy and fossil fuels completely, because it will "save the planet".
2.The money printing machines of the Federal Reserve and the other big central banks around the world.
3.The sanctions against Russia (I'm not a fan of Putin).
There's no point of wasting our time with the Anti-Bitcoin and pro-Ethereum FUDsters. They will keep preaching their nonsense.
1550  Economy / Economics / Re: What define your success, "money, fame or achievement"? on: September 08, 2022, 10:34:58 AM
Quote
CONCLUSION
Let's stop making money and fame the only measure for success. Being successful is being happy and satisfied with ones fully achieved dreams. Money cannot buy satisfaction and happiness. Satisfaction and happiness is the true definition of success and anyone without this can not be declare as being successful.

Success is being measured with money, wealth and social status since the beginning of the human civilization. This will never change.
Who are you to say what should and what shouldn't be measured as success?
Happiness and satisfaction are something relative. Some people will never be satisfied and happy until the end of their lives.
99% of the people link success/satisfaction/happiness with having enough money to live a comfortable life.
Having more money means that you could get a high quality woman as a girlfriend/wife(I'm not talking about a gold digger/sugar daddy type of relationship). The consumerist imperative and the biological imperative are kinda connected to each other.
1551  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: September 08, 2022, 06:24:34 AM
Pretty weak game by Liverpool. Maybe the glorious Klopp era is coming to an end. Porto-Atletico was quite dramatic with three goals scored in the additional time.
Chelsea really disappointed their fans against Dinamo. Thomas Tuchel lost control over his team and maybe the owners kicking him out of the London club was the right decision.
The rest of the results in this round of the group stage were pretty much expected. PSG winning against Juventus was also expected. The Italian team can't compete with Mbape, Messi and the other superstars in the multi-million French team.
1552  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fiat Banks Conspiracy Against Customers. Bitcoin is the Best Option on: September 08, 2022, 05:52:09 AM
All this nonsense can't happen with Bitcoin if:
1.All Bitcoiners use cold wallets and dump centralized exchanges and online wallets completely.
2.The merchants start accepting BTC/crypto for goods and services. Otherwise the people will always have to sell BTC/crypto for fiat in order to buy goods and services. If you want to use digital fiat money, you always have to signup to some online bank or payment service.
Until those two problems are solved, "all this nonsense" CAN happen with Bitcoin/altcoins as well. Centralized custodial crypto exchanges can block withdrawals any time they want. If there's no legit reason, they can simply lie and create fake excuses.
1553  Economy / Economics / Re: UK looking to freeze energy rates on: September 07, 2022, 10:27:02 AM
Quote
After the two years it's unclear what will happen but oil is a very sporadic industry and extra production can be set up in the North Sea as well as other countries being able to compete with the current supplies if they become more stable/less sanctioned in that time. There's also renewables such as wind which would be a reliable source of electricity in most of North West Europe (aside from a few weeks of sunny days every year).

1.Increased oil and gas production in the North Sea won't lower the prices, because the oil and gas reserves in the North Sea aren't that big and the production costs are high.
2.Can you elaborate more on the "less sanctioned" countries? I don't know about any counties(other than Russia) that will increasing gas supply if they are "less sanctioned".
3.Renewable energy is still pretty expensive, because building and installation of wind turbines in the North Sea is expensive.
4.Subsidizing the oil and gas prices for the small consumers and small businesses is a short term solution, but the British national debt is about to hit unprecedented levels.
5.The populist policy of "The rich have to pay more" makes sense in such situation, but the rich can just take their money/financial assets and leave the UK.
There's no easy solution.
1554  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🍀 LOTTOCRYPTOS - Multi crypto Lotteries 💰 on: September 07, 2022, 06:25:40 AM
1.Make a more professional announcement thread if you really want to attract lottery players.
2.Your website looks as if it was made back in 1999. I'm not saying that this is a bad thing, but web design has evolved in the past 22 years and there are gambling websites, that are way more beautiful and functional. Old web design from the 90s has it's own charm, but your particular website design seems boring and lacking personality and attitude. It looks a little bit amateurish.
3.How many players are currently active in your lotteries, OP? I can't seem to find any info about this.
4.Having a big variety of altcoins doesn't mean anything, if you don't have a good looking and functional website.
Good luck with this project.
1555  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Video Gaming Sector Consumes More Energy Than Bitcoin Mining. on: September 07, 2022, 06:01:00 AM
Interesting information, even though I can't be sure about the accuracy of this research.
I didn't know that paper production consumes so much energy. Maybe it's time for the world to dump paper completely. Grin
Actually, the FUD about Bitcoin mining wasting energy and polluting the environment has decreased in the past few months. That's probably because the Bitcoin price is low and the market is bearish. If the BTC market was bullish and the price was close to another ATH, the environmentalist FUDsters would return with their noise.
I couldn't care less about how much energy is being consumed by the video game industry. Nobody is complaining about videogames wasting energy, destroying the environment and polluting the air. I wonder why. Grin
1556  Economy / Economics / Re: Flood causing economics crises on: September 06, 2022, 10:05:17 AM
As you know flood its part of world unfavourable environment. its has bundle of other reaction not in specefic area but around ecosystem. is flood fetching changing in economics? if yes but how!!!!!

Does natural disasters (not just floods) change the economy in the long term? If we are talking about the production facilities, no.
Natural disasters will change the infrastructure and the house building industry. Future buildings and houses will have to be rock solid and they will be built in order to be resistant against all sorts of natural disasters- floods, earthquakes, fire, etc. The increased safety will come at a greater cost. The insurance industry will also have to pay more for the damages caused by various natural disasters.
The economy would be shifting towards less fossil fuel consumption and more renewable energy, but I don't believe that this would change the process of global warming in the short term, which means more floods and hurricanes in the future.
1557  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your Set Of Action When Your Account Face An Issue on: September 06, 2022, 06:28:28 AM
So you're playing in a casino and you triple your wager but when you try to withdraw you cannot what set of actions are you going to do,
Are you going to screenshot your dashboard and your deposit, are you going to create a ticket first and ask support what happens to your account or you will ask chat support and screenshot all conversations because of the fear of getting your account ban, or you will directly post your concern here in Bitcointalk.

It seems that you are speaking from a personal experience.
First I would lose all hope about withdrawing my gambling profits. Grin I don't believe that customer support would help me, if the casino refuses to process the withdrawal. They would simply find an excuse to block my withdrawal and legally steal my money.
The things that you have mentioned are all valid and necessary, but they won't solve the problem(in most cases).
The only thing you could do is to post a Scam Accusation on Bitcointalk and leave a few negative reviews on different places online, so that other people won't fall into the trap, that is being set by a scam casino.
1558  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is everyone ready for Bitcoin's NEXT LEG DOWN ??? Federal Reserve Tightening on: September 06, 2022, 06:05:17 AM
You are writing this as if everyone should be shocked and surprised by this kind of news.
1. The "Federal Reserve tightening" was expected.
2.Almost everyone in the crypto industry knows that the crypto winter will continue in the next year or two.
3.The Bitcoin price dropping below 20K USD won't be a shocker for anyone. It's simply a part of the crypto winter.
4.The Federal Reserve won't continue forever with the monetary policy of raising interest rates and reducing quantitative easing.
At some point, the money printing machine will start printing more money and creating more price bubbles. The bull run will come.
Let's be honest here. All the Bitcoin bull runs were price bubbles and there's nothing wrong with that.
1559  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: September 05, 2022, 11:05:14 AM
Four consecutive wins is a really impressive achievement for Manchester United. The team didn't have such consistent performance in a while.
Winning against Liverpool and Arsenal shows that the red devils have what it takes to compete against Manchester City for winning the Premier League in 2023(10 years after the last Premier League trophy for United). Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho are scoring in every game, I hope that this will be their season. Erik Ten Hag somehow managed to find the winning formula for United. Christian Eriksen is the mastermind in the center of the field. The defensive players have stabilized their performance and United doesn't look as chaotic in defense as they used to be. Arsenal had won a few games against weaker opponents, but that doesn't make them a favorite for the trophy.
1560  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The Reason Putin Targeted Kyiv on: September 05, 2022, 10:45:32 AM
The whole idea of Putin trying to invade Kyiv only for the sake of stealing 28 billion USD from the Ukraine central bank is the dumbest thing I've heard so far about the war in Ukraine. 28 billion USD is peanuts for Russia and Putin.
The main idea of the attack against Kyiv was to dethrone the regime in Ukraine and force the Ukrainian army to surrender, effectively ending the war in a couple of weeks.
Do you even know how central banks work? Most of the reserves of the central bank of Ukraine are deposited in other countries. That's how central banks work in general. It would be totally dumb(and expensive) for the central bank of Ukraine to hold the entire Ukrainian national reserve in the central bank's building in Kyiv.
