1561  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The best way to quit gambling for good on: January 22, 2017, 11:20:49 PM
Yes very true what you are saying and perhaps of humans are greedy and are not satisfied with the results. When I gamble I also feel the same way, when I lose in gambling I am sure that if I would gamble again and manage to repatriate my bet amount and can even multiply. Maybe if we want to stop gambling on the whole we have to stop and try something else which is related to gambling at all.
yes that is right the mane is greedy not only in gambling i but in every aspect life. they want every thing and more, human wishes can only be completed when he die. otherwise he will demand for more and more .but i think it too risky/

Some humans are able to reach a point wheer they think "okay this is enough" and they are content with what they achieved. It's not common but I would say at least half of the population would be happy with 1 million dollars and living off interests without having to work ever again, even if  the interest don't make you live a lavish lifestyle, most people just want free time, myself included, I would be happy to make 20k a year in interests and not have to work, I hate working, I just want to get rich and live off interests just so I dont have to work thats all.
1562  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Goal to 100 BTC before the end of 2017 - Public LOG. on: January 22, 2017, 04:54:24 PM
I don't see how you can make constant gains by pure gambling in dice, roulette, slots etc...

Maybe it would be interesting if you did some altcoin investments, it's still a gamble but you can at least consider some other factors

I don't see how you can make this unless you are insanely lucky.
Where did you read that OP is trying to make money by gambling when OP clearly stated in first post this:

I will be doing arbitrage trading and I will update here every time I do a deal. First profit will most likely be made in 12 hours.

Anyway, OP i wish you good luck, it looks like you know the way how to make money, if you earned 1.7BTC in one day i am sure you can earn 100BTC by the end of the year, don't let trojan push you away from your goal!

Oh I didn't see that that's right. What exchanges does he pretend to do arbitrate with tho? Or by arbitrage he means to sell high and buy lower when the price fluctuates within the same exchange?

In any case its still a gamble, we have seen how unpredictable the bitcoin price is. Just takes chink news to crash it.

Now that all the top players are out of the way, we can have a potential final between Roger Federer and Rafa Nadal, just like 8 years ago. That can be a total classic, can't miss that one. Problem is, both are really good so I don't know who I would give a win if the match happens..
1565  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you use analysis when play gambling? on: January 22, 2017, 03:39:18 PM
The problem is, if you do a lot of analysis during gambling you miss out all the fun. It's best to keep it casual and just keep on gambling as it comes with  a nice feel and not with a math approach where you are constantly calculating odds chances and whatnot... that is the opposite of fun for me. Some people may find that fun but for me it's a pain in the ass.
1566  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Rootstock will be a better solution than ETH? on: January 21, 2017, 04:36:17 PM
Anything that runs as a bitcoin sidechain is already a better deal than an altcoin. Don't get me wrong. Ethereum is a cool project and all that, but we have seen what happens when your core software is a complex mess of a non usual coding language, full turing complete and whatnot... very dangerous place to establish a foundations of different technologies.

Satoshi took the right approach: simple main software, complex sidechains on top (well, sidechains are mostly by Greg Maxwell, but satoshi did a good job by keeping bitcoin non turing complete, it's like he saw it coming)
1567  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How many money did you spent in gambling in a day? on: January 21, 2017, 04:18:00 PM
I spent 300 dollars in new years eve... it is my all time high record ever in spending on gambling. I usually never spend more than 50, but it was new years eve party in las vegas with friends so it was a special occasion. We played some roulette, slot machines, dice, and I didn't play poker but some skilled friends did. I don't mind spending some if its like 1 time per year.
1568  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is gambling so addicting? on: January 21, 2017, 04:05:55 PM
Exactly, the thrill for wanting more is always what drives the addict back those addiction, whatever that might be. We humans just can't have enough, once you taste something good you want more, you become too hooked. The best way is to stop it all of a sudden, then when you get urges to gamble again do it, but come back to restraining yourself, do this periodically once you are bored of it, the urge will not be there anymore.
1569  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling should be considered as a Sickness!! on: January 21, 2017, 03:36:11 PM
This is an subjective question because it is is only applicable to person who gets addictive and cannot be away from casinos in spite of they keep losing the money. Well on other hand there are some people who play for enjoyment and have a limit for their loss which they restrict themselves too.

Those people who play only for entertainment are doing good and do not go to extreme to lose everything but sometimes it happens that people for the source of entertainment start to spend more time and then they become addicted to gambling and for completing that addiction they lose everything.

The people that need to be put on a mental institution are the ones like OP that claim that everyone doing gambling is automatically a fucked up in the head individual. There are plenty of respectable people doing gambling. In Vegas I knew some guys and they were neurosurgeons and other respected professionals having fun in a Saturday night gambling some money. It is compatible with a normal life.

Here are the odds for the Winning Driver of F1 in 2017 after the official announcement of Bottas:

Lewis Hamilton     @2.25
Valtteri Bottas      @3.75
Max Verstappen    @4.00
Daniel Ricciardo    @5.50
Sebastian Vettel   @17.00
Fernando Alonso   @33.00
Kimi Raikkonen     @50.00
Stoffel Vandoorne @100.00

If there are no sensational surprises, Lewis Hamilton will win easily this year.

iam not belived if max vestapen above sebastian vetel
because same team, same car use ferari, but max vestapen in odds above from vettel
vestapen youger driver, and vettel is much exprience and have title world championship in formula one

Max Verstappen has demonstrated in the past that if he has a good car he can be a top competitor. Of Course I wouldn't bet my money on Verstappen winning above Vettel but its a possibility.

Kimi Raikkonen is being underrated. He can outperform everyone if he has a good day and a good car.
1571  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best anonymous transactions for a cryptocurrency? on: January 20, 2017, 06:51:43 PM
The thing is, you can get the most anonymous technology you want, but at the end of the day, if there is not a lot of people using the coin, you are not going to be as safe as using bitcoin + mixers. You need a lot of people to blend in with the masses, you also need as many nodes as possible. This is a problem with Monero, only 500 nodes now, and the blockchain has not even begun to grow yet...
1572  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: January 20, 2017, 06:37:12 PM
Finally it's official: Valtteri Bottas is the new driver of the mercedes instead of Nico Rosberg!
Bottas said he wants to make a great season and who want to start as soon as possible.
But, I think Hamilton will win easily the world of F1 next season.

It's also official that Massa is back to Williams. I think it will be hard season for Bottas, because his main job will be to help Hamilton to win tittle and not fight for the win.
It's also official that Massa is back to Williams and Wehrlein joins Sauber.
Now only Manor don't have drivers for next season. But they have serious financial problems.

I hate when teams have a favorite and just make it hell for the other guy. They did this to Fernando Alonso in his McClaren era. It's clear they hated how Alonso was outshadowing Lewis Hamilton, so they started fucking him up with the car and with the tactics. They should have an open war and the best wins... I understand its a team but at the end of the day they should give all the guys a fair chance. I hope Bottas is competitive against Hamilton.
1573  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins to hold during a bitcoin rally? on: January 20, 2017, 04:57:36 PM
What altcoins are you holding? Will all they go red again?
On bitcoin pumps = hold bitcoin
When bitcoin is getting some correction = buy alts like ETH, XMR and wait till bitcoin price get settle to some point to buy back bitcoin
When there is bad news regarding bitcoin = buy alt with good daily trading volume to hedge against those dump

Bitcoin price is about to make next pump soon so better to hold bitcoin rather than any other alts.

But SOME alts do pump... that is the point of this thread I think, to find those alts that pump so you can profit and make more BTC. BTC going up in dollars is not relevant unless you trade BTC for dollars and I don't do that since to deal with fiat you need to give your details to exchanges so im stuck with alts...
1574  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins to hold during a bitcoin rally? on: January 19, 2017, 06:15:00 PM
So as we see, bitcoin is going back to 1000 dollars+ soon. Do you think there are any good altcoins to hold during a bitcoin rally to make more BTC?

At the end of the day, I don't care about USD, I want more BTC, so I need to have opened positions in altcoins to make more BTC (since im not selling any BTCs)

What altcoins are you holding? Will all they go red again?

If bitcoin's price jump fast all alts will be in red at least at the beginning, since they usually over react to bitcoin's movements. If the rise is slow and steady I would just hold the most estabilished alts with more use or best tech such as XMR,ETH/ETC,LTC,DASH,ARDOR/NXT and maybe also some XRP.

I agree, but what if we are in front of the next big rise? maybe you think "oh well, another overreaction", then you wake up at 1000+ and all alts are collapsing... that would suck, that's why its the best to stay 90% on BTC at all times, you never know when the big rocket will hit jupiter.
1575  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If LTC is faster than BTC, Why Don't We Use It? on: January 19, 2017, 04:56:32 PM
Well ask yourself the simple question: Why is Litecoin faster than Bitcoin?

The answer is very simple and doesn't have anything to do with its features. It's just that no one uses Litecoin compared to Bitcoin. Less traffic = faster.

People use bitcoin because bitcoin has best developers and the best network effect. Again, simple.

please for the love of god, as a Hero Member do not give terrible answers dude.

cryptocurrenceis are not websites with a server so that "less traffic means higher speed" Cheesy

the reason why litecoin or any other altcoin is faster than bitcoin is only because of the time between their blocks. for bitcoin this time is (because of the way difficulty works) 10 minutes on medium (medium because it can go up and down) but for coins like litecoin it is lower (i think it is 2.5 min for LTC)

Dude im giving a perfectly okay answer. More volume of transactions: full blocks: takes more time to confirm (unless you are pushing the fee up).
Anyone can understand this, no need to get that technical.

Bottomline is, the more people using it, the slower it is going to be unless you want to pay more to get ahead of the pack in getting your transaction confirmed.

Federer vs Nadal is always a classic I would like to see. When I was a kid I remember watching Roger Federer winning everyone in spectacular fashion, he was dominating the game like never seen before. Nadal then came and surpassed him, then Djokovik.

I still don't know who is the best from those 3. They are the best ever.

Man what high odd for Alonso i know it not good but I hope Honda will win one race they improved Ltd but still biggest one will be hamilton to win maybe max or Vettel will do but will wait for season start

There is some value in the odds they gave Vettel from my point of view. I speculate that this will be a good year for Ferrari because of the new specifications for the cars this season. I know Mercedes still has the engine advantage but with the wider and larger cars the Ferrari engineers could make something of it. Formula 1 is not all about straight line speed, you know. Red Bull will also benefit from the new specifications but let us see. I still like the Vettel bet because it gives the most value.

It depends in the race. In some races, you are screwed if you don't have top straight line max speed. The long straight sectors in Spa are key, a lot of overtakes by the faster cars happen there. In other races like Monaco, is not as important etc.

It's unfortunate what happened to Fernando Alonso. He is the best talent on driving in years, but he got fucked after the Renault era. McClaren hated that he was better than Hamilton, then the cars started to suck. I would like to see Alonso run with a competitive car again, he could easily win another world prix. Also he is one of the few that started from the bottom and doesnt come from a rich family.
1580  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there any place to gamble IF the Mayweather vs McGregor fight will happen? on: January 18, 2017, 06:46:47 PM

You are counting it out too fast. Everyone was saying how Floyd would NEVER fight Pacquiao and then he proved everyone wrong, fought him and won.

Im sure Floyd still wants to break Rocky Marcianos record to get the nice and round 50-0 record and then get a ton of money in the process. Don't get fooled by Floyd's antics. He may be rich, yes, but he likes to burn a lot of money, if he wants to keep that lifestyle, any money helps and a big fight like that will make him come back.

Now that is really funny, of course he fought pacman but before that hd makes sure that all are in favor of him. Place, bets or even judges. There is no such thing as unanimous or split decision there he would surely won if pacman cant finish him out. The rules when mayweather fought is that you finish him off or you lose

Lol don't be ridiculous. Mayweather made Pacman look like an amateur. Nobody that knows about boxing would saying Pacman won, he lost, that's all.
Mayweather won all fights convincingly, the only fight that I think he lost was the Jose Luis Castillo vs Floyd Mayweater 1, and in the rematch Floyd won convincingly, but in the 1st fight I think he lost, very close fight, but he lost. Other than that, you can't say the judges have made his career... that's ridiculous.

Lol now if you said that he won on a split decision i would rather accept it but convincingly? Now that is hilarious. Where is the convincing part in there? Very far statistics floyd won all the stats? Seriously?

Mayweather won by split decision convincingly... it may seem like it was very even to non boxing fans, but if you know the sport, you know Mayweather took the least damage and made the most points, was more accurate... basically everything was in his favor. Pacciao caught him very few times with some good shots, other than that it was jab domination by Mayweather.
