1562  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: How does HD wallet operate? on: April 07, 2023, 11:11:52 AM
When I was looking at bitcoin wallets to understand more. As a result of my discovery of Hierarchical Deterministic Wallets (HD wallets), I can see how all keys are generated from a single source using HD wallets. Now, I have a query: With the existence of other wallets, why do we utilize this HD wallet?
2 Is it a more stronger wallet than the one we all typically use?
3 how does these HD wallets works. And what are the differences between extended keys and mnemonic seed?
I brought it up since I don't understand these. Thank you
It helps to speed up the work, you could generate 1000 private keys with a master key or seed, doesn't matter if you lose 500 of those keys, you could just use your seed to generate them again.

For example online wallets, exchanges use such wallets, if they give you a private key, it means they can regenerate that key by using a seed or a master key.

You could use a seed/mnemonic seed as your master seed, some wallets use the seed as an entropy source and the wallet can be encrypted with a password, some wallets allow you to carry only the seed instead of 1000 private keys, you could enter the seed into the same version of that wallet on another computer and regenerate all your keys.

I'm also confused because there are too many different wallets and each operate by their own standard.
1563  Other / Off-topic / Re: astrology on: April 06, 2023, 08:53:32 PM
AI cannot explain to you how astrology works, but it does

It's not the astrology that works. It's simply faith.

Consider placebo effect in healing. Tests have shown as high as 33% healing rates through placebo effect. It's all about faith.

What this means is, if anyone actual believes in anything, it will work for him to some extent. That's why the atheists have strong faith in atheism. They want it to exist, so it exists for them, even though they don't realize that it is like a religion, and that it is false.

When one REALLY believes in something that is real, the results can be fantastic, way beyond placebo effect. That's why the early Christian church had so much success with healing and miracle doing. Not only did they believe, but they believed in God Who is real.

Cool
Like believing in Santa would make him real, right? Believing in something fake/ false doesn't make it real and has zero effects. The effects of placebo is because of self suggestion, and that power comes from the soul, it shows how powerful our soul is. One example is evil eye, we all know and experience it.
Signs are real and have different effects depending on our interpretation, basically our own interpretation has the worst outcomes usually, that's why when we want to say something about the future we should say God willing, that way we no longer hold any sway over the outcome of future events.

Well there is a clear distinction between the US and Russia when it comes to war crimes,US has publicly apologized for the invasion in Iraq
I have also heard that Hitler apologized in his last moments, guess God forgave him and he is now playing with virgins in heaven.
Apologized! They were responsible for atomic bombs on Japan, war with Vietnam, the gulf war, supported Iraq against Iran, organized alqaeda, isis, war on Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Yemen, and now a proxy war with Russia.
Apology not accepted, karma is real.

“” I'm sweet but a bit bitter!””
Your own words …. This is very apparent in how you respond …
You think I don’t try to find the owners … if possible I do try it , but , as you should know , btc wallets are anonymous …. Some wallets I have some info , most I don’t !
If passwords are found of wallets that have been abandoned for years and years , some btc were mined in 2009 … than they are for the one who finds the PW … and don’t think it is only me doing that , heck no …
I really don’t know how you got your status , to me it looks like you been living under a rock or two … and act as if u r holier than thou , or me at least ! STOP trolling , leave me alone and get a life !

I have no status, what's that? It doesn't matter if they were lost in 2009 or in 2023, they still have owners,  it's not like a burrie treasure where if you find it you can claim it all for yourself, the owners and their families are still around. Maybe in the future people could claim these coins if there is no family member or relatives around.
You and I vibrate on different frequencies, that's OK, but I never pretend to be hollier  than anyone, that's my moral code. Sorry if you are offended by it.

hi guys, im working on puzzle 125 for a long time, today, i have substracted the public key (im always test and substract by random) of 125 to a smaller range randomly i found a substracted key his hash160 start with the same 4 lettres as a hash160 of an adress in the range 110 bit, so, am i close to find it ? if i search this substracted public key in 110 bit range will i found it ? the probleme im runing 7TerraK per sec its slow, and if anyone can help we will split the reward of the puzzle 125,

2000000000000000000000000000:3fffffffffffffffffffffffffff
if you have better speed search from 1f00000000000000000000000000:7fffffffffffffffffffffffffff from 109 to 111 bits,

if you have good speed and can finish this range in 1hour, you wont lose nothing, we will split the reward Smiley thank you Smiley
How can you search for a 125 bit range public key in 109-111 bit range? And why would you care about the first 4 characters of a hash160 of another random address?
Please explain the magic here.😉
1570  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin puzzle transaction ~32 BTC prize to who solves it on: April 05, 2023, 04:35:45 PM
Yeah that’s already a thing…for at least 2 years now.
So bitcrack and vanity can search for public key alone?
1571  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin puzzle transaction ~32 BTC prize to who solves it on: April 05, 2023, 04:20:46 PM
And even better, what if we can apply the prefix concept on hash160 too. Instead of looking for address prefix, we look for hash160 prefix. Even more speed. In fact, this would be the fastest way ever.
Won't work, rmd160 has 40 characters and by searching for their prefix, should we stop hashing half way? Meaning converting sha256 hash of public key into rmd160 but only looking for a specific prefix, either we generate the whole hash and compare with our target or we can't generate just a prefix to compare because it would break the function and we wouldn't know the result.

About brute force tools, bitcrack, vanity etc they all convert rmd160 to address, otherwise why would they accept an address as an input to check against?
Say huh?! You have it backwards. Or at least saying it backwards. Vanity takes addresses and converts to 160.
I also believe it converts the partial strings to 160 as well; I’d have to recheck on that but I’m pretty sure it does.

If that's the case then there is another way to speed up the process but this would work for addresses with known public key. Searching only for the public key, saves us a sha256 and rmd160 to skip.

If you would find it, it will be the hugest miracle
Hugest miracle is you breathing, do not underestimate the miracles around you. The OP is either dead or is trying to find the wallet, both are unlikely, he probably found a password from a hash and he thinks it's the password for that wallet.

If by any chance someone really lost that wallet, I am willing to help recovering it for 10% finders fee.😉
1574  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin puzzle transaction ~32 BTC prize to who solves it on: April 05, 2023, 05:15:39 AM
I found a way to speed up the brute force attack method, drop the hash160 conversion to address, because that conversion requires a SHA-256D, that is equal as mining bitcoin, now if we skip that part, what percentage can we gain in speed increase?
1575  Other / Off-topic / Re: Who wants BTC's ? on: April 05, 2023, 05:03:21 AM
These wallets are abandoned for years ! The owner of them is probably dead , or somehow incapacitated!
It is NOTHING like a wallet you find along the road !
If , wish it was when , I find the password , a lot of people will be helped … I know , and probably you too , a lot of people who can use a bit extra ….
I already have a good life , am pensionado , with enough money , so this is 1: a Hobby and 2: a way to make this world better and easier for lots of people !
Hope you are as good a person as I am , greetings and good luck !
I guess you are misguided, nobody would abandon millions of dollars and go fishing! Imagine you lost the password to your wallet, now why would you give the wallet away? Unless you are crazy, so if you have any evidence of a mad man giving away his funded wallet, let me know.

It doesn't matter if the owner is dead or doesn't need the money, if we find the money we should find his/her family members, next of kin to return them to the rightful owners, they could pay a reward to us for finding it, but these wallets have no actual funds in them, it's a waste of time.

Changing the blockchain requires more nodes than the entire node network currently active.
Re-mining the whole blockchain with the old transactions? Would you change anything in the blocks? Whatever you will go against the rules of the network, making it an invalid chain, maybe you need to rethink the concept of consensus in place to see what you want to do will never work. Rewriting everything will give you a new coin, it will not be accepted as BTC.

Yomix - Ddos-guard (waf and hosting), which is fully controlled by the special services of the Russian Federation and gives out all the information on the first request.
Sinbad - CloudFlare (waf leading logs of visits, ip addresses, fingerprint, where have gone to the site, etc.). All these statistics and logs are kindly shared with the US Secret Service.
Why secret service though, is granpa Joe interested in mixers so much that his bodyguards gather intel about bitcoin mixers?😂.

Other than the usual pay to post advertisers, I can provide a better solution/ strategy to achieve mass adoption, it's called "shilling" my fee is $500 per day. Ok I know $500 is too much, I can go down as much as $5 per day.
At least consider $1 per day? Ok I'm out no need to call the authorities.

I think most of us were trying to learn more about this new technology, some got trapped in pay to post activities and some learned how to use this forum to actually learn something useful.

I'm sorry but I am reminded of a TV contest, the question was: Capital of Thailand and the options were:
A: Bangkok, B: Bangpussy, C: Bangtits, D: Bangdick. Prize was massive!😂 I'd go for b and c but the answer is a.
