@The Pharmacist

What you said is True it should happen, I curse they should loose everything. Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry

This simply look like to me a "HYIP" posting plan. Somebody accepting users without any check on their numbers and their posting quality and promising superb payment. You guys are greedy to take part in such kind of absurd signature campaign and now making hue and cry.
Why need to curse others when you guys are suffering from low IQ.

Manager like Yahoo are reputed because they do not manage shady and shill campaigns. If this campaign is not upto the Yahoo standards then I do not think he/(or any reputable manager) here will manage this whatever payment offered to them.
1583  Other / Meta / Re: Please show Trust in Project Development on: August 24, 2018, 09:25:18 AM

I think that's not what Helena asked. She asked about what would be happened for a member previously red tagged by a DT member(Members who handpicked by theymos) who lost their credibility even after that member red tagged. Not about the trust rating put by untrusted users which we don't consider normally.

If a current DT Member lost  credibility then it will become an untrusted feedback to scammer and the red tag will get erased from that scammer profile.(If scammer is tagged by that single DT member only.)

I am not 100% sure, but I think Pharmacist lost the DT status for few days.

If they were trusted and they lost their credibility -just if that' s the case- then, what happens with the trust they give to others?? Sorry, my brain is just exploding here.  Huh Huh
Actually, you're making a good point here and I'm thinking red trust given by particular DT member should be removed (Not other members given) if that DT member lost their credibility.
a) Why it should be removed? Might be due to scam accusation DT member lost its position and afterward it find out everything was fine and user regain its DT status.

b) Even DT member lost it credibility and accusation is proved but it does not mean that user lied earlier in every occasion. User feedback should remain there.

Untrusted -ve feedback are also important while making a deal. Might be DT did not find enough evidence to tag or the scam accusation did not get attention of DT.

(theymos didn't say anything about trust Tongue)

I do not know how to react on this Zapo.  But look like user has demoted itself from Hero to Senior and in reality actually received 14 merits only.
If you do not believe me , feel free to verify from these reports.

So user is not eligible for Sr. Member rank also as Merit earned by user is 14 (less than 20).

My Bad, I checked all them in Vod's site. Look like Vod is not parsing some user even in a Month but their banned status is getting updated instantly as they both are banned on his site.

Thanks.

They all are newbie or brand new,  give me snapshot where Jr. Member or above is banned by this Method.
I do not think LoyceV has created a topic in vain when Permanent banning can be done by simply this method.

PS: I am impressed by your report count. Kudos to you.

Edit: I found that old post specifying the same.  Need Moderator  to confirm it.

I will suggest to create a list of permabanned user for copy/pasting and moderators giving track that which post of that thread they have processed. This will help in reporting as we can easily check whether user is already banned or reported by other but pending review by moderator so no need to take action or re-report.
A Rank "Banned" has been suggested before (by me and other people). That would be the fastest way to know an account is banned already, and doesn't need further attention.

Quote
but it does not look to me that moderator has gone through the whole list
I'd go through the whole thread myself to list them all, if there would be any way for me to see if an account has been banned already. But I can't see that, so I can't easily make a list of accounts that still need to be banned for plagiarism.

Report to mod is for reporting anything.
Chances are the Mod who handles the ticket can't ban the user. Most Mods can only nuke Newbies. The post will get deleted, but the user won't get banned.
1587  Other / Meta / Re: [Discussion]What You Think Abaout "imode" For Bitcointalk on: August 24, 2018, 03:29:50 AM
Looks like these mode were used at that time when data packs were costly and speed is slow. It might help to page load faster and save precious data if you are here to read only. I am not sure if these read only mode have any practical benefit now because even mobile device are getting unlimited data  (or very large Data pack).
Anyway interesting to know them.

Edit: Forget to add that, Meta is not the point of discussion for it. may be Off topic.

OP post history has some very interesting post.

I am just assuming , OP has poor English,  OP might want to ask if newbie can get merit. I am wondering if OP is planning to delete all the post and get back to the newbie status and go for a fresh start.

PS: Anybody have idea, how much sMerits were air dropped to the Member account?
1589  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Insurance is Important for Crypto Exchanges on: August 23, 2018, 07:15:29 PM
Insurance will not come for free means exchange  charging high trading fees. Most of the hacks of exchange are due to their negligence or insider job. Insurance is not  going to pay for the negligence or insider job.

Exchange need to do audit frequently their balance and should use cold wallets. Instead of paying hefty fees to insurance every month (with no guarantee that it will pay) they should invest their time and money in security measures. It will be good if they got Security audit every six month by an external agency.
1590  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Smart Contracts - just a buzzword or are they applicable to the real world? on: August 23, 2018, 05:20:57 PM
I think smart contracts would make a lot of things in life easier for example you could do more things without a notary as most paper works could be stored digitally and uneditable in the smart contract and nobody could deny it as blockchain technology is not changeable... there are endless ways to use this new technology for a much simpler life but tho it would make some people unemployed and so they would need to do something else... still this was always the way to go, some people will benefit while others will lose.. thats life I guess.

Do you mean blockchain to store the documents? That is too costly. I do not think business will use something that is costly and do not provide them any tangible or intangible benefits just to show that they are tech-savvy.

I think it can be put somewhere in some practical application like distribution of hall ticket to student. Like Department A sent it report for a student that student attendance is ok. Department B sent report there is no pending dues for student and smart contract now send the digital Hall ticket.

So much manual coordination can be saved here that require reading report from multiple departments and deciding the next course of actions.
1591  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Faucets profitable? on: August 23, 2018, 04:34:50 PM
This is actually a question for those who own them.

I was a reading up on how to start a faucet (just out of curiosity) and it said that the majority of faucet sites are not profitable, I saw a fair few and thought that maybe that wasn't true. Why would you spend time and effort and something like that to not make money.

Are any beginners using them and or has anyone just started one?

iasenko get link to the good post  but if you want to understand the latest trend then I will suggest you to move this or post this topic in Micro earnings Board.

I think it is good if you create an account on faucethub.io  and get the direct feedback/contact from faucet user and faucet owner.

Owner of faucethub.io is also a bitcointalk member mexicantarget
1592  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: where to sell my BTC (internationally) on: August 23, 2018, 04:21:14 PM
I have few concerns regarding this, say BTC does Hit 100k suddenly (like it did when it jumped to 19k about a year ago) at some point, will Any Exchange actually accept buying my ONE (1 BTC) and give me Cash Huh?.....

Which Trusted International Exchanges should I deal with to sell my BTC in exchange for Fiat ??...

I am from Dubai, we have here a website called Bitoasis, but am hesitant, I have a feeling that many exchanges will refuse buying my BTC for real cash WHEN BTC hits huge numbers 30-100k $...

plz correct me if am wrong...

Unless it is a very shady exchange that want to scam you with your BTC.
Technically exchange is not the purchaser of your BTC it is just acting a medium between buyer and seller and taking there fees in between. They are not the owner so it is not the correct question they should pay.
They are in strategic position where if they got bad intention they can fled taking away others cash and BTC .
So you should keep your BTC on your own wallets (not in the exchange) and deal with the trusted established and regulated exchange when you want to cash out. (But I guess easier way is to buy the goods directly using BTC as mode of payment and you have no worry about exchanges.)
1593  Other / Meta / Re: Thread comparison between Beginners and serious discussion on: August 23, 2018, 04:09:55 PM
Well, here is what happen today in the Beginners and Help section as one guy decided to repost the sncc's security guide.
See this >
this is not my post, i copy this post for beginers to. original post - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4920096.0
~

At least he mention the source in a way but still, I don't think this is acceptable, it's more like hunting for merit with someone else's work.
Seems like the new trend for merit hunters. If you translate it and post it the local section, with the permission of the author, it's OK.

Actually he put it  up the original source reference so that everybody knows. I found some people deliberately put it at last even they are copying  and even forget to put it at last.

By the guidelines , all of them can be reported it is just quoting of source text (and with link) without any addition thought by OP.

The Beginners board probably gets a lot more traffic than the Serious discussion board. If you check out the replies on both of the threads you posted, you will probably find some merit worthy replies in the one that is posted in Beginners section as well.
Sometime good articles come in Beginner and help Board but they got lost with somebody asking a generic (may be dumb) questions and a rat race to answer that.  There are so many topic created in that board that lies in category of "Can be trashed " due to their duplicity but they do not got trashed.
Every Month I read same 75% duplicate  (approx) only 25% look brand new.

@JetCash
I think , if you repeat the same experiment with Serious Discussion Vs Ivory Tower, your result of views will be same.

Agree with this statement, anyway may I know how to pronounce your username? I find it intriguing.

Simple  (R-one S -two -G three )
RG is my initial and SG are initial of my wife and daughter.
RG SG SG => R1S2G3

Sorry to all for going off topic.

A newbie needs to construct well-written posts in order to be seen and perceived as a valuable member of this community.

I agree. Forum is sometime too harsh for newbie and Jr.Member and I saw higher rank members also who were caught for Copy-pasting and doing the lot of shit.

Have you seen the Theymos reply in below post?
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4893744.msg44432901#msg44432901

It just mean we should do whatever in our capacity and do not expect anything from him soon

PS: Welcome Helena, We really need good reader and writers.
1595  Other / Meta / Re: copy paste post on: August 23, 2018, 04:28:25 AM
Please if you find another posts like this, then it is a post that can be reported to a moderator. Just use the "Report to moderator" button and add the comment like "duplicated posts, see thi <insert link here>" when submitting the report.

Furthermore, you can read this beautiful guide made by Welsh about how to report effectively. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4519248.0

Next time either use the "Report to moderator" button (for simpler cases like this one), or post in the Reporting copy/pasting mega thread so the Meta board doesn't get saturated with reports about plagiarism.

You Both are wrong. This need to be reported at Mod, please check new plagiarism: Reporting copy/pasting, please permban.
Report to Moderator will not cause Permaban for copy pasting.

I verified it is indeed copy -pasting and already reported on the behalf of OP.

Cardano, founded by one of the first Erthereum developers by Charles Hoskinson, is a decentralized platform that provides a reliable and scalable complex programmable transfer of value. It is based on technology designed to create a new decentralized economy and democratize finance in emerging markets. Cardano seeks to become a platform for smart contracts by developing a new functional programming language known as Haskell, which allows "to write in a more secure and reliable way because it has a mathematical approach." It will surpass the etherium, I believe it.

1597  Other / Meta / Re: The Place of Knowledge in post replies on: August 22, 2018, 05:19:08 PM

Do not do this until you do not have a talent to explain in a better way, There is high probability that your answer is plagiarized then and you can be banned.  Better to provide the direct source link in these cases.

I don't get where does this plagiarized answer came from. It's somehow a question, on how'd you handle on a such scenario.

Reading the topic so that you will able to reply in that post (if you are fully ignorant of that subject beforehand) is not a correct approach. Your answer will be heavily influenced by the the site that you have just read. Not being the native speaker your words and sentences might also be influenced.  I am saying just put the source link and do not try to paraphrase the answer or answer something that you are not really confident of.

PS: You do not become expert by just reading something. sometime you need to rethink and churn your thoughts.
1598  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Australians can now to pay their every day Bills using Bitcoin and other Crypto on: August 22, 2018, 05:05:58 PM
Good to know about the payment system that help you pay everything by using Bitcoin. But real challenge is to get the eco system in which you earn, spend  and save in bitcoin. Looking forward to the days when companies will start paying the people in bitcoins and we will pay in BTC without doing any fiat conversion and eliminating fiat.
1599  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Fast registration in bounty on: August 22, 2018, 04:59:13 PM
lol, Account farmers might love it and use it for their abusements.
Please lock the topic for now.

Depend , how somebody uses it.  But I think it cam have very practical use when you are applying for some government documents. They sometime require you to fill same information 5-6 time but in different section. You need to validate all entries for typo and correctness. Now I think we just validate one entry and rest will be copied by shortcut.
Same thing can be achieved if you just keep all you details in a singe Notepad file that you are going to use multiple times, but this look more smarter way.
1600  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Asking about how high are payments depending on ranks? on: August 22, 2018, 04:38:06 PM
I just saw a Junior member like me asking how much are the take home pay for each members depending on the ranks.  Many have answered that are just the same as each other.  Depending on the ranks.  The questions really are, why is it so hard now to rise up lower ranks from Junior and what are the basis to get that promotion for higher ranks?  I just hope we could get some information so we could do and apply what is needed.
Are you serious about "take home pay" ? Do not join this forum for just doing some FB and TWT bounties. Find a real job and education if you are in age of school or college.  It become hard to rank up because people abused the system of default activity ranking. They are farming accounts, farming bounties and posting spam.  Merit system stopped the default ranking for them now.
