1581  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What do you guys think of scrypt.cc on: March 13, 2014, 03:53:07 AM
On their main page is a calculator for seeing your ROI.  It is not bad usually at 200 to 240 days depending on the value of BTC at the time.
http://scrypt.cc/index.php
The are 0 trade fees and pool fees are very low especially in the face of cex and their huge fees.
I hope it helps.
Right now kh/s are priced low.  Stock up now that is what I am doing.

What are their maintenance fees and how's ROI?
1582  Other / Off-topic / Re: Answer the question above with a question. on: March 13, 2014, 03:48:35 AM
I would have to say the greater good.
So many people forget the public good in the hopes that the All Father will bless them in their pursuit of the greater good that is not always best for the public good.
Why would humans be so blinded by that?

More than the evil done for the "public good" or greater good?
1583  Other / Off-topic / Re: Answer the question above with a question. on: March 13, 2014, 03:31:54 AM
I have none.  Undecided
Do you know why so much evil is done in the name of religion?

How much faith do you have in this opinion?   Cheesy
1584  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: MultiMiner Remoting & MobileMiner: Your rigs. Your coins. Your pools. Your way. on: March 13, 2014, 03:30:27 AM
You are awesome Nate.  Cool
Thanks a ton.

Version 2.8.0 PR2 (preview / pre-release) is now available for testing. I will be releasing this in a few hours / days barring any negative feedback.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/lh4qwxqi0gs9vxt/MultiMiner-2.8.0.zip

  • Official support for 1-chip and 5-chip GridSeed ASICs
  • Notifications are now displayed when Auto-Mining switches to new coins
  • When minimized to the system tray, an interactive balloon tip is displayed for in-app notifications
  • Coins that fall below strategy configurations are no longer suggested for mining
  • Improved overall performance
  • Coin difficulty is read directly from the network once mining begins
  • Worker temperatures are shown for Network Devices and the Stratum Proxy
  • Added the option to Copy / Clone an existing configuration in the Configure Coins dialog
  • Added support for the MobileMiner Pools API, allowing switching coins from smart phones and browsers
  • Added the option to save coin configurations to all rigs via MultiMiner Remoting
  • Customized names for machines and devices are now pushed to MobileMiner

Note that GridSeed support requires BFGMiner 4.0 which is not out yet. If you are running Windows you can try a PR of the BFGMiner GridSeed support here:

1585  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Solo mining with BITMAIN AntMiner U1 (USB) on: March 13, 2014, 03:06:33 AM
I would love to have about 20 S1 Ants.
18 would be on BTCGuild and 2 I would let solo mine.
That would be great.
1586  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [5500 TH] BTC Guild - Pays TxFees+Orphan+NMC, Stratum, Private Servers on: March 13, 2014, 02:55:34 AM
They were not the only one's.
Apparently there were a couple more that came online and are coming online.  I did get an email back from one private group who will let me possibly do an interview with them once they are done bringing theirs online and up to speed.
It is an exciting time.
My only worry is that in all reality it just puts mining more and more out of the average persons reach.  I have 100 gh/s total and even though it is not much it usually when BTCG's luck is good makes me about .02 a day a current difficulty.
I really hope I can get more gear but it seems these big farms will concentrate the bitcoins into fewer hands.

I got some info I have to follow up on that a couple of private farms just brought large multi petihash farms online in the last couple weeks. If I get this verified I will post about it.

The "Unknown" category has grown at Blockchain.info's Hashrate Distribution report. I know it's not entirely accurate, but the Unknown category has either benefitted enormously from a bout of luck or it has expanded greatly.

KNC moved it's private farm (2-3+ PH/s now I believe) off Eligius and went solo mining in the last week or two (hard to remember, Bitcoin time doesn't feel like real time).  So that added a big chunk to 'Unknown'.
1587  Other / Off-topic / Re: Answer the question above with a question. on: March 13, 2014, 02:36:45 AM
It is a huge fault of humans in clinging to religion which in the name of so much evil and violence has been done it vastly out weighs the good over time.
Why are humans so enamored of religion?

Why wouldn't there be a dscussion when we have other, more interesting quesrions?

Can I get an Amen!?

You may not and why should you receive one as an "Amen" is part of an abusive Bronze Age superstition?
Have you not considered the fact that it might give him a feeling of comfort if we all gave him a sign of confirmation?

Have you considered that to do so would be hypocritcal as all Hell?
Is it such a fault for human beings to seek comfort in religious superstitions?

Yes, I think it is and why is it not?
1588  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [5500 TH] BTC Guild - Pays TxFees+Orphan+NMC, Stratum, Private Servers on: March 12, 2014, 10:32:11 PM
We have been doing much better today.  Blocks are ours much more often now.
 Grin

Luck is luck. Switch if you want but consider last 24hr stats.

Blocks found      Hashrate                Ratio blocks/hashrate

GHash.IO    43   8.37 Ph/s               5.1
BTC Guild    35   5.98 Ph/s               5.8
Eligius    23   Stats not loading     3.9 (used same as btcguild)

I guestimated eligius hashrate since the stats are down, but last I checked it was close to or higher than btcguild. So for the last 24hr i'd say btcguild is the best.

1589  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: BFGMiner 3.10.0: modular ASIC+FPGA, GBT+Strtm, RPC, Mac/Lnx/W64, AntU1, DRB, HFA on: March 12, 2014, 05:40:20 PM
Windows found my DualMiner with no issues.  I did already have this driver pack installed though.  These are the correct base drivers for many USB ASIC devices that would be run on BFGMiner.
http://www.silabs.com/products/mcu/Pages/USBtoUARTBridgeVCPDrivers.aspx

I use LTC Rabbit.
https://www.ltcrabbit.com/#afkun1

They have a solid pool with an altcoin bonus when applicable.
The other that is good is Scryptguild.com which is currently in beta.

I hope it helps and Happy Mining.

i`ve managed to compile it, it runs, it detects all the gridseed devices, it seems like they are hashing but they don`t find any share at all

any ideas ?

Have you tried different pools? Some scrypt pools have different addresses for high diff and low diff (high is usually 1-2 MH/s) miners, and if you're at a "high" one you might not be able to get any shares.

I ran into this issue too. Don't use high-diff servers for a 70 or 300 Kh/s device.

Also from your output it looks like you only ran it for less than 3 minutes. Try giving it longer so luck has time to play out. Also try just one server. Trial and error will help here since it works well for others.

What server (pool) are you using or would you recommend? I am bring up 40 Gridseed (5 chip) miners up on Bfgminer tonight, want to be as consistent as I can.

Did you have to load any drivers for BFG to see the Gridseed units?

So no drivers to load on a Windows machine to have them recognized by Bfgminer?

Thanks for the pool list, I will try them tonight

I would rather be a dragon than a wolf.
What I want to know is why I have to be so broke and broken?  I am a good person who worked hard and took care of others now I cannot.
How is this right?

of course it's not good, why would you want to be a wolf?
Why wouldnt you want to be a wolf? Dont you want all the extraordinary power?
1591  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: SCRYPT ASIC miner ready. BTC+LTC ASIC miner, LA1THS, usd5000, stock ready now. on: March 12, 2014, 04:22:06 PM
Here is a good group buy and if you give Atari02 my name in your PM for an order you can get $50 off each ten pack you order.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=503928.0
I hope it helps and Happy Mining.

What is the cheapest way of obtaining these? Looked on aliexpress and they charge around 270$ without the accessories (power adapters etc.)

Will the web shop be up soon?

1598  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Mining Contracts/ Indiegogo Campaign!!!! on: March 12, 2014, 04:52:44 AM
You need to open it up to more pools than just Slush's to get some more people interested.
I wish you luck and Happy Mining.

Hello All,
Come check out my Indiegogo campaign, great prices, thanks for the support!

I had never heard of it until now.
I don't drink often but that seems like it would be tasty.
Thanks for the heads up I am going to try that this weekend.

Not to mess with the other thread but did you try it?  The drink I mean

Oh, yeah!

Was the drink of choice in my place at KU in the early 1970s.

My $.02.
