Well here are the stats at 24 Mhz. I cant imagine I am going to get much more w/o damage to it. 1.825V 5.748A. If we knew the point the gates burned up would be nice. Also I know lower is better what is an acceptable cutoff on hard ware errors?

Nice Job... can't wait to try these mods out.  Waiting on my crystals & resistors, but not really planning on attempting higher then 20Mhz
You have any pictures of your setup?... would be fun to see  Smiley

what happened to batch #10?   Tongue
Group buy # 10 was blades.
I see - Sowwy - thought you had different batch numbers going for blades & miners

From OP:

Quote
Pricing

Chips:
Avalon ASIC chips may be ordered for BTC0.086. This fee is due immediately upon order placement.
Assembly:
The total price for assembly is $95. This includes $35 for the PCB and board related components, and $60 for assembly, to be paid in BTC.

Assembly and DIY Kit:
The DIY kit and fully assembled PCB are $123.5, to be paid in BTC.
Fully Assembled Unit:
The fully assembled unit, including all necessary hardware, is $133.5, to be paid in BTC.
Hosting:
Hosting fees include 8% of miner revenue production, plus $.06kw/h for electricity used. A setup fee of $15 per unit is necessary to help defray the initial infrastructure costs.
Testing:
Free with the purchase of a fully assembled unit.

10,000 chips from Avalon = 780BTC     (this is what is showing on Avalon's store right now... I am assuming it wasn't different when he ordered)
so for each batch, he took in .086/chip = 860BTC     Profit of 80 BTC per batch   (I can't seem to find what or how many he purchased for himself from each batch)

Full Assembly: (see bolded above)  Appears to be $60 for the 'assembly' (assuming this is labor costs)  and  $35 to cover PCB and 'board related components'

Anyone that has sourced parts, knows that you get wrong parts sometimes, or you find a flaw in the design and have to order a whole new set of parts to replace the ones that will not work. The assumption that he is swimming in btc and cash after this group buy is pretty silly in my opinion. Then include the time spent, yeah hes working for peanuts at this point unless avalon gets the chips to him.

It seems like he made around 70-80BTC on just the chip batches... so he was 'swimming' in 480BTC (6 batches).  The assembly costs that were brought into the picture later were to pay for the parts and other stuff relating to assembly, not sure if he marked that up or what it actually costs to assemble one of these boards/labor/etc... but to think he isn't making BTC off of this seems a little off.

EDIT: and he *should* make BTC off of this, but he should also be providing a higher level of service & updates during this time of distress. It is what it is.
1588  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Liquid Synergy Designs Inc. -ASIC mining hardware on: August 28, 2013, 02:35:16 PM
Is Boxman only referring to the chips themselves?... which I assume is a light amount of work of re-shipping them to the buyers?... the assembly part of it is where the rest comes into play  I gotta go look at the calculations though... not sure if he actually made 70btc per batch on just the chip purchases?

EDIT: I guess he did make 70-80 btc per batch on just chip purchases.  I assume the 'assembly' costs that were ontop of the chip purchases were used to pay for the parts/firmware/boards/etc ?

Sorry I was unable to get in on this with you CH, after the delays with the avalon chips, I had to change my plans a bit... good luck to you all!
1590  Economy / Services / Re: 2 BTC bounty for New Logo Design on: August 28, 2013, 11:46:11 AM
The anger appears to come from professionals who have spent time getting 'trained' on things that people can now learn on youtube or other internet-based resources... and have resorted to pointing out issues that only 'trained' professionals would notice, which is not what the OP is looking for. There is still a place for the 'highly trained' professionals, just not sure it is on a bitcoin forum.

A lot of professions are also going through the same aggravation. It is a different world  Wink

But in the end, I have withdrew my submissions because I obviously didn't realize the OP was actually looking for a fancy word with different fonts, or I would have devoted more time towards this... but I cannot devote any more time - its just not worth it.

+1 to this.

The last person that tried got hurt by his bodyguards....
Link? Pics? I've never seen a single proof of it.
Anyway, we just have to hire bigger bodyguards.

I don't buy it.

The time has finally come to get a mouthful, you only act on greed and by your actions this is proof.
And can't you see the flowers dying all around you?  Got your hands in the devils pockets, got everything to lose.

And so you lash out, to crush the ones below, or all the ones that you fear the most.
And you call this crowd control, well let me break it down for ya:

The fire in your veins is just a joke you tell yourself, another way to cut the cost, to hide your face from all the guilt.
And it's a shame to have to say you had to kill to gain control, but at least you made some money - hey, let the good times roll.

sorry... got bored.

My vote's on Jan's design.
Didn't realize we were voting... not too keen on the FL looking like an 'A', it looks good and all but not something I would want as a logo. But what do I know?

1597  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: WTF Avalon? Ship the Chips! on: August 26, 2013, 03:24:37 PM
I believe the trust information on the left is based on your own user accounts 'trust network'. Which, I assume is built up as you leave positive feedback for other members.
There is also a default trust list, which I would assume is built into everyone's account and if any of those 'trusted' members were to post a negative feedback, my assumption is it would then show up for 'everyone'.
1598  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Incoming Avalon News 8/9/2013 on: August 26, 2013, 03:18:21 PM
got an idea guys, click on Bitsyncom's trust and give him a poor review:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=68196

it'll look like this: http://imgur.com/q58JdcB

Which highlights how dumb the feedback system is, as on my screen it shows the following, which gives no indication that this is someone to avoid, or that lots of negative feedback has been left.

Wow! I never actually pushed the Rating button. What's wrong with that? Why is it still 0?

I think it only shows red when other people in your own 'trust network' have marked negative feedback... there also seems to be a built in default trust list, and I would assume if any of those members posted negative feedback, it would show up for everyone.... not entirely sure though.

What sucks is that **nothing** is happening. We're all just losing our money in slow motion.
Yes... this is what I was implying... I just couldn't find the energy to continue typing after 'this sucks'. Just depressing to see such poor form & communication by all parties involved.
