I agree that they need to release Android and other client software.  They are unlikely to reach their previous Seals levels without it.

I see there is a Fishmas Fry Festivus Freeroll scheduled for players who have earned at least 25 krill.  I like that concept, and I hope that they continue to develop it further.

There is an optimum distribution of freerolls, including some that are open to anyone, some to anyone with at least 1 krill, some to anyone with at least 5 krill, some to anyone with at least 25 krill, etc. that will help the site re-establish a healthy distribution of players.

And the overkrill tournaments are part of that mix.

I see some evidence of creative thinking at SwC.

I only had this problem on one of my computers, but it was bugging the hell out of me.  Here is what worked. Flush the DNS cache

http://www.techzilo.com/flush-windows-xp-vista-dns-cache/

Basically, from the command prompt:

ipconfig /flushdns

Then I restarted SwC.  The status quickly changed from Offline to Trying to Online

Practice Aversion Therapy.

Create a vivid mental image of an extremely disgusting human who owns and profits from the gambling operations you participate in.  Assign the most obnoxious characteristics you can possibly imagine to him.  Imagine unpleasant things that he uses the money for.  Unpleasant things that negatively affect the people and ideas that you care about.  Imagine how much he delights in your weakness.  The vivid mental image should contain detail, color, sound, motion, and smells.  Get in the habit of recalling and experiencing these thoughts and experiences whenever you consider gambling.

This is how I quit smoking.  Instantly and permanently.

Then, learn how to properly play Bitcoin internet poker at SwCPoker.   Smiley

How does krill work exactly? The site explains the leader board, although not distribution.

You earn krill by being dealt into any raked hand (currently 0.02/0.04 chip and greater tables).  You don't need to win the hand to earn the krill.  You just need to be dealt into the hand.  The higher the stakes, the greater the krill.  You accumulate krill.  They do not expire.  They do not go away.  You don't need to spend them to get the benefit.  They can qualify you for things.  For example:
There are some freerolls that you can only enter if you have 1 or more krill.
There are some freerolls that you can only enter if you have 5 or more krill.
You can enter the 1.25k overkrill tournament if you have at least 1250 krill (plus an entry fee)
There is a 5000 krill freeroll.
There are freerolls for players with higher amounts of krill.
More krill equals greater rakeback (refunded rake, paid weekly).
Those are all valuable things.
166  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can gambling be profitable in long term ? on: November 27, 2015, 09:28:59 PM
Gambling has been profitable for me, as long as you include poker in your definition of gambling (and almost everyone does).  Once up a time I engaged in other forms of gambling, which of course was not profitable.  Internet Bitcoin poker has helped me improve my patience, observation, logic, discipline, and decisiveness.  I play on SwCPoker.
167  Economy / Gambling / Re: Any advice to start gambling? on: November 27, 2015, 03:40:10 AM
Since you already have a computer, an internet connection, Bitcoins, and some time, you should learn to properly play internet poker.

SwCPoker has a zero-rake 0.01/0.02 no-limit holdem table.  no rake, zero, none

If you play on the 0.02/0.04 tables and up (which are lightly raked) you will earn krill (you don't need to win to earn krill, just be dealt into the hand) for entry into more and better tournaments.

There are additional tournaments available after you earn 1 krill (very easy to do), and after you earn 5 krill (also easy to do).

Learn to play.

Definitely SwCPoker

They have a zero-rake 0.01/0.02 no-limit holdem table.

no rake, zero, none
the best place to learn to play
much more realistic than play money poker
you can actually win
freerolls if you are flat broke
no-rake table if you have a little money for learning to play poker
0.02/0.04 tables and up (raked) when you want to earn krill (you don't need to win to earn krill, just be dealt into the hand) for more and better tournaments
there are additional tournaments available after you earn 1 krill (very easy), and after you earn 5 krill (also easy)

if you have a computer and an internet connection, and especially if you have Bitcoins, you should learn to properly play poker

169  Economy / Gambling / Re: Which one is easier to win at Blackjack or Poker? on: November 11, 2015, 04:17:59 AM
In one of those two games you must place your bet before you see your cards.  In the other game you can bet after you have seen your cards.

I used to play blackjack.  Now I play poker.  I don't play blackjack at all anymore.

The alleged perpetrator:

SwC appears to be proficient in releasing updates, improvements and bug fixes, so we can conclude that they have competent programmers who understand the code they have in front of them.  That is not true for all other sites.  Due to the elapsed time, I have to conclude that they have a working Android client prototype running in a test environment, that is not yet stable enough to release on the internet.
172  Economy / Gambling / Re: SwCpoker.eu | No Banking, Only Bitcoin | Bitcoin Poker 2.0 LIVE NOW! on: October 30, 2015, 09:03:56 PM
I think there is some evidence of habit and brand loyalty in software (in general) and in internet poker (in particular).  If a Bitcoin poker site releases an Android client first, and has a head start of ~ 6 months, the other site would be at a noticeable disadvantage.  Android is a big deal.  Android is the OS that I always have with me.  I would prefer to see SwCPoker take that advantage.

True for me also.  I could not sort Sit & Gos by buyin, but I did not notice any other problems.

No problems for me.

Where do new SwC players come from?

  • Bitcoin holders - Already have wallets and Bitcoins.  Little or no poker experience.
  • Bitcoin gamblers - Dice players, etc.  Already have wallet and Bitcoins.  Little or no poker experience.
  • Internet poker players - But using dollars or Euros.  No wallet and no Bitcoins.  Experienced poker players.
  • General population - No wallet and no Bitcoins.  Little or no poker experience.

Which group did you come from?

Which group is the easiest to recruit?

Which group has the biggest potential?

You have been gambling against the house.  That is their game, not yours.  Don't do that.

Gamble against other individuals, and mostly against those who are worse at it than you are.  You can learn to identify them.  Even over the internet.  Especially over the internet.  You will have a permanent written record (hand history files) of all their actions.  An amazing concept.

Learn to play internet poker properly.  Start at the rake-free tables (0.01/0.02 chip) at SwcPoker, and keep a daily record of your results.  Keep track of who is winning and who is not.  Avoid getting into big pots with winning players.  Try to get into big pots with losing players.

Internet poker still has a gambling component, but you can learn to control your own destiny.  It is not a blunt instrument.  It requires some finesse.

Pluck the pebble from my hand grasshopper.

158k Krill account for sale.  You can enter every krillroll on SWC--including the 150k--and get 27% rakeback.  Asking for 2btc.  Post in this thread or e-mail razzledazzleswc@gmail.com

Account now has 167k Krill.  You will also be able to enter a private 4BTC freeroll (either on November 3rd or 4th) for the krill leaderboard.  This is in addition to the ability to enter the 5k ( 1 BTC prizepool), 20k (2 BTC prizepool), 75k ( 3 BTC prizepool), and 150k (5 BTC prizepool) krillrolls.

I always wondered how the Krill thing works meaning if you enter the 5 BTC krill roll does the krill get deducted from your account.

no

Just two questions if you'd like to answer:

1) Can you confirm, as previously said by another user, email addresses associated to our accounts may be changed? If so how?

But if the completely anonymous seller doesn't give you the current password, you will not get in to change it.
