Oh boy. Over 20% of the Shares have not received a claim yet. 11427/55207. I assume this goes down to 10 or 5 % in the next two weeks. But it still means some free (someone else paid for it) hashing power for each share.

OK as I was one of the early people trying this bot I will share this information: I tried for about 40 days and then asked for a refund with clickbetter. Now the money has come through and is shown on my credit card statement. Just wanted to let you know, that 60 day free trial worked for me. It was free. I was not convinced of the bots performance though.

I feel very sorry for you guys/gals. Sucks a lot. I hope someone else will see all the hard work and great idears and wants to realize one/some of them.

I'm selling 130 shares cheap if anyone is interested.
I would like to know how we are going to trade the shares now.
Generally interessted. Depends what cheap means for you... PM me your price or post here. Maybe someone else might pay more then I am willing to pay. Edit:Guys the fees are for the manual update of the list. I don't think anyone is getting rich on those. I agree that an exchange through a platform would be great but we are just not there yet.

I have 4G of Ram. Is their an online version of Armory that will work with 4G? Or should I just wait?
Works like a charm for me with 4GB. MY computer goes into hibernation when downloading the Block Chain for the first time. Unless I am using the computer. Then has to start over each time. Computer is so slow when running it. Adjust it in the power settings in your control panel.

Finished obverse and reverse, with antiqued and non-antiqued versions. I like how you compare the blockchain and germline (depicted as DNA). As a Biologist I always see a lot of parallels between the two. i don't see a blockchain, let alone DNA (triple helix). You see the double helix comming from the leaf. The Bitcoin is in the middle of the coin. The little things around it which look like stamps are the blocks. The blocks are connected by a chain, therefor I figured its a blockchain. The chain might actally be the merkel tree or whatever ties the blocks together. So the coin is in the middle, secured by the blockchain. The DNA runs around it sybolizing life which emraces bitcoin and the blockchain. At least that is how I interpreted it. Maybe acorn had something totally different in his mind.

I'm just not 100% confident that the backups will be the same as the final version. I know it creates a frustrating dynamic, because I need people to help test the backups, but I have to tell them not to rely on them yet.
When will you decide this? I would love to use the m-of-n paper backup. I think the paper backup should have an option to have no identifying information other than the codes. If someone finds the paper backup it clearly states it is a backup for a Bitcoin wallet. If it is just a string of numbers of letters most people are not going to know what it is if they find it. Should be configurable though. The backup slip which is going into the inheritance needs to be clear on beeing a cryptocurrency key backup.

Same here. Nothing happens.

Casascius manages it as well for funding the coins: http://casascius.wordpress.com/Check the top blog post. Massive transaction for standard fee. I am sure he would give advice to Lab_Rat if he experiances problems.

I don't know if this is the problem, but you can run it with "--rebuild" which will delete the database and start over from scratch (Bitcoin-Qt DB will still be there, so it will only take 1-2 hours to do a rebuild). I'm curious if doing a full rebuild fixes it for you. So far, I haven't seen any one need it yet, but if you have no other choice, you should try it.
Seems to do the job for me. Tried 50 times before and always stuck at 1%. Now already at 3% after 3 min. Thanks for the advice. Thanks for identifying how much more work I have to do to get this version stable It's tough getting my brain back into the game after 2-3 weeks of vacation! I was going to write before that I wish that you had a nice honeymoon. Then I thought: I cant do that because I don't know if it was already over. Anyway. Hope you and your wife had a good wedding and enjoyed the time off.

Thoughts?
Try to reduce 3rd pary risk as much as possible. If Coinbase went down, all your shares go with it. So use an address you genuineley control. I used Armory on an offline computer. As armorys message signing is not yet compatible with the signature process anyone else uses (soon to come) I am also using another wallet on this offline PC just to sign messages with this private key. Once I signed the message I can take it to the online PC by USB stick. So BitFunder can go down, so can Coinbase or any other online wallet. I can still proove I am the legitimate owner of these shares. And as most likeley dividends will be payed out to this address I feel more comfortable to not ave the private key on any online computer. Hope this helps a bit.

As another question, I don't know where I am supposed to receive this manual dividend. If lab rat has an asset list, I don't believe that I have given bitfunder a personal bitcoin address. How does he know where to send funds? Is he sending funds to my bitfunder account address so it will show up in my bitfunder account?
Make sure to register a valid Bitcoin address with BitFunder. It must be one you control, i.e. own the private key and can sign a message. Your dividens might just have been blackholed this week. If Bitfunder goes down for good (in case it happened) your shares will also be blackholed if you don't control the address.
Edit: Only if you are in control of the address on the asset list you will be able to proof that you are the legitimate owner.

ahh, I see, so when I send 1 bitcoin from an address that has 25 coins, it will send the 24 coins back to a newly generated address, is that what your saying? Damn, what wallet do you recommend? I dont mind making backups, but it would be nice not to HAVE to back the address up...
The same you recommend. Armory. You backup your deterministic wallet once and that's it. You can crate and use a ton of addresses and the backup is good for all of them. Armory lays focus on backups. The new version has M of N backups and printer safe paper backup. Just easily create 5 backup printouts and any e.g. 3 will be good to restore your wallet. And even if somebody manages to get hold of you printer memory they can not spend the coins with printer safe backups. When Alan is back from his honeymoon the guys will wrap up this version. There seems to be one more bug to be fixed before they can make the release official. My BF Address is an Armory Address and I feel very very comfortable with this. Alan just got a 600k Investment for Armory Development. As there isn't really a concrete buissness model yet, it is more like a 600k donation. They might be offering enterprise solutions once and make some money with support contracts and even more advanced features and such.

Can you please confirm: As a non-US investor I can get verified and hold the shares. You will be paying dividends via BitFunder.

I wish Open-Transactions was more mature on the client side. I would have loved to see Lab_Rat moved onto Open-Transactions. I guess that maybe in a year that scenario might become much more realistic. Development is just not as fast as the upwind and the heat Bitcoin (ans similar concepts) is getting. Let's hope some major currency crisis in a cuntry bigger than Cyprus can wait just a little longer so we can grow the infrastrucure to handle the load.

same here. Worked with 0.89.99.3 version. Might it be the installer? Shall we send logs? which ones and from what location?
