161  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How is a newbie to get a bitcoin? on: September 04, 2014, 08:00:40 PM
Once you got 1 BTC, what would be the best strategy to double it:??

The best strategy is to repeat what you did to get your first bitcoin, as that way has been proven to be working. Wink
162  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Too much info! on: September 04, 2014, 07:55:20 PM
I guess the community has made available the search button on the top right corner, possibly visible anyone

To be honest, the search function on bitcointalk is very bad.
If you want to search among bitcointalk posts, you could use google and put "site:bitcointalk.org" in the end of your search query.
163  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: how does it bitcoin work? on: September 04, 2014, 07:53:24 PM
What can  bitcoin do? How do you make itbecome a money making machine?

Bitcoin enables you to send your money to other persons fast, easy, cheap and without a third party in the transaction. Smiley
164  Economy / Speculation / Re: $10,000 when? on: September 04, 2014, 07:38:31 PM
Why do people think it is going to hit 10,000 for sure?  I don't understand where you are coming from...and if you were so sure that Bitcoin was going to be huge, I am guessing you have over 1million BTC....If I knew it would be that big I would have hopped on board when they first came out..

IMO, most of the users here believe bitcoin will be successful and so expect the bitcoin price to go up, but still many of them don't believe it will hit $10000.

On the other hand, if you believe the chance for bitcoin price to go up 20 times from $480 to $10000 is higher than 5%, it will be a good investment. Smiley
165  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is BitCoin faucets really worth the time? on: September 04, 2014, 07:24:36 PM
Definitely not IMO.

There are some who give satosi faucet freely, there is give every 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours, etc., are now depending on how often you can claim satosi given away for free by the faucet. the more you claim, the more satosi you can get, the more valuable the faucet

The more you claim, the more time you have spent on those faucets instead of some other more meaningful or rewarding things.
166  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Lost .2164 btc learn from my mistake on: September 04, 2014, 07:18:59 PM

Edit - since I got a lot of response based on this - just to clarify it wasnt for nothing - I sold a spare btctalk account to "Candystripes". He sent me the wrong amount and I said I would send it back. Then provided me with a btc gambling address, which I sent.

Is that "gambling address" Candystripes' account deposit address on an off-chain gambling site?
Or is it an on-chain gambling address?
167  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is your best bitcoin wallet? on: September 04, 2014, 07:09:38 PM
I am using a paper wallet to keep majority of my coin, and putting the rest in my bitcoin core wallet.
168  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can i get some free Bitcoin? on: September 04, 2014, 07:03:46 PM
I am new in this forum. I hope every member of this forum will help me. I would like to know about free Bitcoin. How can i  get free Bitcoin. Is it really worthy?

You can sell some products or services for bitcoin, or you can join a signature campaign to get paid for posting.
But don't waste your time on faucets as you can only get dusts.
169  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 6 things bitcoin introduced to us on: September 04, 2014, 06:47:39 PM
Just a bit of research here. What are the things that bitcoin introduced us to? Is there any?
Better anonymity, almost no fees, faster transactions, peer to peer transactions so no 3rd party etc etc...find the white paper.

You pretty much summarize the benefits of bitcoin. Smiley

For the white paper, you can find it on https://bitcoin.org/bitcoin.pdf
170  Economy / Services / Re: Hiring for Services on: September 04, 2014, 06:46:11 PM
So 400 articles for 0.01?  Shocked

OP is not asking for 400 articles but just one single long article with about 400 words...
171  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto - The Creator of BTC on: September 04, 2014, 06:43:37 PM
whether the creator has billions of bitcoin?
or he is already rich of bitcoin?

There will only be about 21 million bitcoin in total, and so no one can have billions of bitcoin.

I read some posts here that estimated he has mined around 1 million bitcoin, but he has only touched 50 btc.
How do you know that tho?

For the 21 million part, block reward starts at 50 btc and will be halved (and be rounded down to the nearest satoshi) every 210000 blocks.

For the satoshi's wealth part, please take a look at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=548508.0;all

Hi, try signature campaign, here's overview https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=615953.0

or sell some of your stuff.
I also think that signature campaign is a good option for making some BTC. But is there any signature campaign for newbie rank?

If you clicked that link, you should know that you can join the Bitin.io sig campaign to get 0.00004 btc per post as a newbie.
173  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Hello No clue if i am doing this correctly on: September 04, 2014, 06:26:28 PM
Well I just tried to get some btc through virwox and when i deposited there were no options to buy btc to i withdrew it... now im waiting on my money to show back up!!! and when i emailed them about why they have not sent my money back( they made fees so idk why they wouldnt they closed my account! I opened a dispute in paypal I hope paypall fixes it Sad i dont have much money!

From what I read, you should be able to buy SLL (Second Life Linden), and then be able to buy bitcoin with SLL, though I have never used Virwox myself.
174  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Any good Bitcoin earning games? on: September 04, 2014, 06:21:26 PM
So I play minecraftcc and earn some bitcoin there...but are there any other good games you can earn bitcoin through? I dont want to gamble!

True that there are multiple ways for you to earn bitcoin through playing games (like those mentioned already), but none of them is a good way IMO.

Unless you enjoy the game itself, you should not play those games just for bitcoin, as you can get more by offering services or joining a sig campaign.
175  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: hi pls help a noob on: September 04, 2014, 06:17:18 PM
so i know my hardwere its not that good for mining buit i just need 0.0130 BTC
im mining at 120 Mhash/s
Current shares    Score    Last share at    Mhash/s*
64                     44.8649    7 minutes            76.3549741511
how long will it take me to make 0.0130 BTC?
just pls answer i dont know how  to use bitcoin calculators

76 MH/s? You are mining bitcoin with a low-end GPU?
You are paying more on electricity than you can get from mining.

Just stop mining, and spend $6.5 (plus fees) to buy 0.013 btc.
176  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best bitcoin wallet on: September 04, 2014, 06:11:11 PM
coinbase and blockchain, both great and have both apps for android so i can check or move btc around with just my phone

IMO, It is not a good idea to store your bitcoin on Coinbase as you don't have control to your private keys at all.
Blockchain.info on the other hand is way better in this aspect.
177  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is the best bitcoin casino? on: September 04, 2014, 06:06:47 PM
For dice, Dicebitcoin looks pretty good and you can invest in its bankroll.
For casino, 777coin is good with nice design.

180  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [VOTE] Which project you will like to see? on: September 04, 2014, 05:23:29 PM
Or set a score to beat.
If you beat it you will get double of btc.

This is better.
It can be done automatically and instantly, and the players don't need to worry about "insiders faking the highscores" (I am just saying).
