161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: VERITASEUM DISCUSSION THREAD on: February 10, 2018, 10:50:17 PM
ThesisFun, I believe Dorkie is correct.

© 2018 Veritaseum, Inc. All Rights Reserved

I could be wrong but I believe that you may have a problem with the use of the Veritaseum name. I bet you thought that you might hit the jackpot by scooping up a few Veritaseum domains? Best of luck to you.

I am a totally disinterested party....just passing through to check out veri for the first time....I may be wrong as well but I don't think he said he was gonna use them...he said he was selling them...there is no copyright or trademark law that forbids him from owning them, and if someone wants them, then he gets to set the price

UPDATE
EDIT: btw, just finished some initial reading and all I can say is I cant believe I missed this...finally something that actually DOES something...I'll wait for the dip I guess...

UPDATE #2
RE-EDIT: just finished watching the interview w/ clif high...now I will definitely be waiting for the dip...in the meantime, i'll go back and check out this ultra-juicy troll war...
I hope theres a lot of it

UPDATE #3  ya...super juicy and lots of it

I await your eternal generosity that will convert me into a scumbag...

164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: GBEAM ↗ on: February 10, 2018, 04:00:29 PM
Hello Dev,  how will premine distributed?  Thanks

There is no mining on GBEAM. GBEAM will be distributed through the AMUtech systems or appreciating monetary unit technology. Coins are sold on exchange using geometric selling, feedback loops and a permanently rising buywall to reduce downward volatility, ensure maximum liquidity, and appreciating value over time.

For more info on the AMUtech system please check out WAU COIN
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2544231

Gbeam will be using a modified  version of the AMUtech developed for WAU Coin, being released on Jan 18th

cool...an artificially inflated price....what could go wrong?...perhaps the federal reserve could help...I would continue to rebrand until you get the entire world on board

when I see all of these people still...STILL!!!!!...considering bcc, or even just "wondering" about its future potential, my gut instinct tells me that they are shilling to try to dump their bags...but the more I see of it, the more I am convinced that some people are just destined to be ripped off...its like lord of the rings...the ring will make someone do things to make sure that it gets back to where it wants to be....it seems that money just does not like to be with stupid people....I have often wondered how the dumbest among us can end up with enough money to even get ripped off....one of the tragic ironies of life I guess

well...not worried about price of 1 or 2 sat....but nethash dropping from 3M to 1M in a few days...not good...I will continue to mine, but this thing is gonna need some help
167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [NO-ICO] [0% PREMINE] CREPCOIN: Friendly web environment crypto! on: February 09, 2018, 08:17:43 PM
im trying to run xmr stak 2.2 on a couple of old machines...no problem on i3....cant run on Pentium (not sure if cpu matters, it may be another issue)...when I run I get 3 or 4 "aint gonna run" issues regarding missing .dll files....any insight out there
which pentium model? you can try cpuminer-multi: https://github.com/tpruvot/cpuminer-multi/releases

old program but works fine. usage:

cpuminer-gw64-core2.exe -a cryptonight -o stratum+tcp://crep.miner.rocks:3333 -u yourwalletaddress -p x

I'm using it with core2 machines that not supports xmr-stak.

Pentium g2020....im currently using claymore...just wanted to try stak and ended up w/ about 30% more hash on i3...so figured I'd put it on Pentium and...nope
168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BCC] Bitconnect Coin - Decentralized Cryptocurrency on: February 09, 2018, 07:08:06 PM
jesus....this is getting sick in here....some people saying that it doesn't matter that it was a huge scam??...it will still have value??....wow!!....this is like a bunch of people with a horrible zombie-like disease that they can only cure by getting someone else to voluntarily contract the disease...."it's good to be a zombie"...."in the future, everyone will want to be a zombie"....Its like watching an orphanage burn down and you just cant look away

I also thought thread would be locked by now...I pray that they keep it up forever though...there is so much education in here...I have been reading it for days...I never got involved w/ this coin (thank god)...and im not sure how to feel about those who got burnt...I know it sucks but, wow....there were so many warnings...this is post number ELEVEN on the thread...

From Bill, one of the owner's of Bittrex:

"that coin is def not crowd funding on bittrex.  Scam"

Don't waste ur BTC guys.

and so many more red flags and warnings throughout

Here is a windows wallet I built...

It does yield an error when you try to close it, but it seems to be disregard able.   It seems to load and sync fine.

btw....this is called "begging"...

hi dev, please pump your price or find the other exchange. i assumed your price will die in next two months if you stick with 3satoshis.

and I don't win because you let me....I win because I am right
173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POW][STL] 👾Stellite👾 - decentralized node list via IPFS & ZeroNet on: February 08, 2018, 07:01:14 PM
pretty funny to see someone actually begging a dev to artificially inflate the price of their coin to keep it from being a "shitcoin"....you missed the boat dude, bitconnect is over...I think that might have been more what you were looking for...try an anonymous ico out of Zimbabwe

it is very surprising that you find a "begging" word for my postings. Well, you typed some pretty words while you, of course wondering about the future of this coin. pretending that you are okay with it while seeing the worth of the coin down to one satoshi. you finished your post by typing zimbabwe and preparing to click post while your mind thinking "what is the future of this coin".

i will let you win in this phase dude. good luck  Cheesy

personally, I couldn't care less about the future of this coin...love to see it go up because I have some....if it goes to zero, big deal...that is exactly how much money I have invested in it...you act as if running a miner for the past week was your last chance to get out of poverty

wow....just said in the telegram group that im not sure if I can justify running my pc 24/7 for the hopes of a few coins because the closest I can get to payout is 11 days...then it goes back up to 15 days, and im not gonna buy any at that dodgy looking exchange....BANNED in less than 10 seconds...nice
177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [TRTL] TurtleCoin - Cowabunga Dudes! on: February 04, 2018, 07:29:39 PM
I might start mining this next week when the wallet finally syncs
I don't think you need the wallet to sync in order to mine.

You just need to get a public address, and do as you would.

I do Turtle CPU mining currently, and it's really easy to set up!

You just need to download the claymore cpu miner, open the config.txt and put in your preferred turtle pool, and then your wallet address. . . and then you're good to go!

I don't need to have my wallet synced or anything!

I usually start mining a coin before sync....just get receiving address...it appears to me that I can do nothing with the wallet until it syncs...if you know more than I do regarding this issue, then please feel free to share...thanx

EDIT:...I just shit-canned the gui and went w/ the cli....didn't see it earlier...thanks for your time though

only 2 pools and neither one seems to be doing shit according to the numbers...and i don't see a solo mining option in the qt...mined by ghosts?

180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CPU mining 2017? on: February 03, 2018, 02:44:18 PM
hi all...
ive been messing around with cpu mining on a couple pieces of junk for about a year now...
for now, ive been just looking for things that are brand new, so my junk has a chance in the first week or so...
I have a chance to pick up a couple of old servers for about 250$ total...

1. Dell Poweredge 2950 (2U Server)
Dual (2x4) Quad core Intel E5410 Xeon processors (8 cores total)
 8GB DDR2 Ram (Max 64GB Ram)
Dual 150GB SATA hard drives (system supports SAS or SATA drives)
and
2. Dell Poweredge R610 (1U Server)
Dual (2x4) Quad core Intel E5504 Xeon processors (8 cores total)
 8GB DDR3 Ram (Max 192GB)
Dual 160GB SAS hard drives (system supports 2.5" SAS and 2.5" SATA drives)
 Dual Redundant Power supplies

ive done some fairly extensive research and cant find shit for answers...

my question, what kind of hash rate could I expect out of these two for say, monero, aeon or other cpu coin?
would it be worth it at the end of the day?
thanks
These CPUs would be probably slower than my Xeon X3440 @ 3,2 GHz.
I don't remember hashrate for Monero on my PC, but I did a calculations few months ago and it wasn't able to mine 1 Monero in a year... So you can try only if you have electricity for free.
You can try cpuminer-opt 3.7.x and try to mine some new coins, which use CPU-favour algos.

thanx for the info...
they are still for sale, (probably wont sell) I think I will wait a while and try to get them super cheap and use them like u said
