Ugh so jealous. My shitty garage farm with ~100 GPUs looks like a joke next to this.
162  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] T-Rex miner for Nvidia GPU (Windows & Linux) on: July 16, 2018, 10:48:53 AM

Any News on API Support? Read above that it was expected with windows release.
What about Linux?

We plan to release it today with several other improvements.
Will it be a ccminer compatible API?

Would love some more info myself..

This is working well on 1080tis so far. I wish y'all had waited for the API to be complete before you switched away from the CCMINER core tho, really screws with our farm monitoring..

Loving this very much. Keeps the cards running cool and quiet in the summer!

What is this "Equihash Zero" algo that has been added? I cannot find any info on it.

Damn those numbers are great.. guess GPUs really will be dead soon!
168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Snowblossom - new ASIC resist POW, quantum resistant, online now ❁ on: June 06, 2018, 01:10:10 PM
Looks promising. I shall keep an eye on this.
169  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: AwesomeMiner Coin Updater *Version 0.8* (Plugin) on: June 05, 2018, 08:23:01 PM
AwesomeMiner Coin Updater 1.0.0
  • Added Altex.Exchange
  • Added requested "non-averaging" mode - setting "AverageDifficulties" to "false" in "settings.json" will now dump current difficulties into AwesomeMiner
  • Cleaned up code, de-duplicated things, hopefully made it overall more stable

You can find the latest update in the Mega link.

I'm happy to release what I consider to be a rather complete 1.0 version of AMCU!

I am doing this because I have finally landed myself what looks to be a very promising and busy new day job and will probably not even have enough time to manage my miners let alone continue development of this program. I will check in hopefully every week or so gather new exchange requests. Thank you all for the donations and merit, they really do motivate me to continue!

Happy mining all!

Congratulations on the new job!  This is awesome, but... in this new version I'm getting an error that none of my coins can be found in any exchange.  Anybody else have this error?
Looks like it was a side effect of the code cleanup. I've uploaded a fixed version (still 1.0.0)

Looks like the firesale is because of GMO's product announcement and sales of their miner tomorrow

$1999, 24TH @ 1950watts with 2200w PSU + taxes etc
Not sure why.. this thing is over 2x the price for less than 2x the performance...

BD = database, so in Spanish, I suppose English will be DB. Linguistic confusions

IMPORTANT NOTE: I had AWCU off the automatic rule system, to launch it every 20 minutes, delete localcoins.json and re-scan. I've taken it a few hours because it did not work.

I've re-launched to make a screenshot of error and hang it in the forum, and surprise! It has returned to work.

This makes me think that maybe cryptopia has a limit of requests for IP and day or something similar. I have not restarted anything, just deactivate the rule a few hours ago, and turn it on and it works ... I leave this information out of curiosity

There is an error 500 of the tradesatochi server, that is foreign to AWCU or AW. But the error that came out of cryptopia was the same as that left by another user in a post a little higher and stopped the whole process.

As a collaboration and ideas, I leave some written.

Make it automatic that every time you update does not average, always the last price, so you delete localcoins.json and redo it in each release.

A mini script that removes duplicate currencies in config.json, or even commenting on those that can not get data, I guess you can omit with # at the beginning. Removing duplicates is important, because among those that I add, plus others that I find in others that publish, I usually have duplicates.

They are just ideas

So the cryptopia failure is very strange, when it happens for all the scritp, but after stopping it several hours and relaunching it, it has worked again.

Another user who managed to fix it, who has happened again, all points to a limitation of use or ban of Cryptopia, so that for AWCU, I will update every 40 minutes, or we can dispense with cryptopia in some way. Or control that error to skip it and do not stop AWCU

I hope your comments will be helpful.
Okay I think the most important thing is to try and find this coin not updating bug. I will take a look today. It is a 3-day holiday here starting tomorrow so I may not post much until Tuesday.
174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: AwesomeMiner Coin Updater *Version 0.8* (Plugin) on: May 24, 2018, 07:26:07 PM
Thanks for your quick response. I leave the capture is W10pro licensed and updated to the full, maybe it is some update.

There other people who happen to him the same, even a boy who has 3 facilities and fails him only in 1, that's why I say it is very erratic.

I have no problems in making a small donation every 3 months, absolutely, people have to charge for their efforts and time invested, I hope that others take note and donate something. And I suggest that the add-on be out of payment, even if only a modest amount. You have to make the most of your time, since it also makes us earn money. We see it as a very good win win.

the machine has firewall and antivirus disabled. Everything worked fine but a few days ago I began to give this problem, I do not know if it is for the latest Beta versions of AM that I also have licensed and yesterday install the latest version.

The error sometimes stops in the cryptopia, now no longer, now stops in the other error of BD.
Ask me for the data you want and I send it to you. Where was the XML with all the settings?

I see that he uses Mysql_lite and he is giving me a little error of BD. It could not be that, a corrupt table or a corrupt index in the bd Huh?. Some scrypt to restart it Huh

I erase every 20 minutes localcoins and I return to scan prices to not make average. I have some coins repeated in the config.json can that create a conflict in the DB?

thanks for your help

A small suggestion, some script to reset erase the small BD and redo it again
I am having a really hard time understanding.

You are saying AMCU (my program) is hanging at Cryptopia rarely and the program does nothing else?

What is "BD"? I am not using MySQL Lite, but I believe AwesomeMiner uses SQLite.

Many people have asked for an option for just current coin difficulties and not averages, so I will make an option for that soon.

Aha so that's where that mBTC came from! Thank you for the donations guys, really appreciate it. Let me take a look at what's going on in here..

Please add https://altex.exchange/ in next uprade Wink

I'm seeing two errors here, one with Cryptopia and the other with Awesome Miner (I think?). This may be due to a very strange bug in the latest version of Windows.

Go to "Run" -> "cmd" -> "winver" -> and post your Windows version here for me.

I thought this was due to cryptopia's API.  Maybe in an update we can have a way to disable cryptopia for when it shits the bed?

Each exchange is updated separately. Errors from exchanges should not break the program, they are isolated. This looks to be an odd case so I'll see what I can find..

So I updated my awesomeminer to the latest beta version, which restarted awesomeminer and I'm not getting the cryptopia error any longer.  Big win Cheesy

Maybe awesomeminer needs to be restarted AND the localcoindata.json needs deleted to get past this error.

Weird.. this makes no sense at all.. AMCU/Cryptopia/AwesomeMiner have no interactions..

Love ASIC resistance. I'll fire up a CPU miner.

So, how does one go about blocking M$ domains? Is this done in the hosts file?
Yes, you can do that or if you have a smarter/nicer/more advanced router you can just blackhole all the domains.

Example:
Domain Overrides
download.windowsupdate.com   127.0.0.1
microsoft.com   127.0.0.1
update.microsoft.com   127.0.0.1
windowsupdate.com   127.0.0.1
windowsupdate.microsoft.com   127.0.0.1

What I despise is freaking Windows Update deciding to downgrade my video drivers without asking me. I was going through the spring update all good and well and then wondered why the miner wasn't working.

Damn thing flattened my display drivers and installed an old version on top of it. Brilliant... Not.

IIRC 1709 did not touch the display drivers. Why did this update do so??

I'm using a combo of blocking Microsoft domains from my network as well as this:

We have been using this little tool to completely disable Windows Updates for the past ~year or so now.  They just came out with a v1.1 yesterday, I believe we have been using v1.0. --- https://www.sordum.org/9470/windows-update-blocker-v1-1/ --- I was skeptical of it at first, but it's been working flawlessly on 16 rigs (although not all of them have been running a full year yet.

The dirty secret is that CPU/GPU mining is what drove the crypto expansion to this point.  We mine coins through innovation, trade them, spend them, give them value because they are worthwhile to have and use.  If you remove the distributed profit incentive then I think this is the end of the current "phase".  Whether that is good or bad is not for me to say.  Mining is what got most people here.    A new era is upon us.  Adapt or die.
On the flip side, people are seeing this and despising Bitmain and the like for it, so coins are choosing to adapt by rejecting their machines. I hope this trend continues.

I've mined about 700 on my deskop in the past few weeks.
