161  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What does it mean to buy on the Dip? on: February 14, 2019, 06:29:18 AM
Prior to 2018 ,a dip is when the price of a coin falls to a certain price that is considered it's lowest low.
When one invests , you are sure to make a reasonable profit.
Then comes 2018, the theory of lowest low was made a mess of as there is nothing like the dip now or lowest low. This is because even when you think you bought the dip ,you come back to see that there's a dipper dip.

162  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can REGULATION Really Be Beneficial to Bitcoin? on: February 14, 2019, 06:23:31 AM
Yes , regulation will be beneficial as it will make Cryptocurrencies more stable which would enable the whole functions of money such as being a store of value etc.
Regulation will bring about price stabilization and this will make so many potential investors who were turned off from investing because of the volatile nature of Cryptocurrency.
Unfortunately, if this happens, then bitcoin will no longer be bitcoin as the purpose for it's creation have been defeated .

164  Economy / Speculation / Re: How news influence the market. on: February 13, 2019, 11:01:20 AM
The Cryptocurrency market is one that is speculative.
So therefore, news in what ever firm affects the market either negatively or positively.
If there is a news making the rounds about how China government plans shutting down Cryptocurrency platforms and exchanges even though it may be fake and unconfirmed, you will see investors and traders scampering for safety , dumping their coins hard on the market and causing price instability.
The same withhold news.
165  Economy / Economics / Re: Please, we should not totally eliminate fiat currency on: February 13, 2019, 10:56:54 AM
I do not think that it's that easy and possible for fiat to be completely eliminated and replaced with Cryptocurrency.
There are people amongst us who are not literate and so wouldn't be able to flow with the tide of using Cryptocurrency for their daily activities.
There are also those especially in rural areas that do not have access to Internet services....how will such  people cope without fiat?
You answer is as good as mine.
So fiat is very important.
166  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the Market Stabilizing? on: February 13, 2019, 10:52:53 AM
From the time you made this submission to now , bitcoin price has gone from $5k plust to below $4k now.
The market has not recovered yet , hopefully, it recovers soon.
By the way ,I think this is the best time to invest in bitcoin.
The price is low now.
167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I wanted to know if there is a hodler right here? on: February 12, 2019, 09:27:55 AM
Being a holder of bitcoin since 2017 till now despite the prevailing market conditions means that that person has great faith and confidence in the Cryptocurrency market.
And this is a great attributed we all should try and imbibe for the good and betterment of the Cryptocurrency market.
168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't quit investing on: February 12, 2019, 09:20:17 AM
I concur with your assertion here.
Like they say in my parlance that "as a farmer you cannot say because it's raining heavily and refuse to go out and plant".
It's same here in Cryptocurrency, the bearish market may be unfavorable but it is still the best time to invest...... because the market condition will change in the future then you can reap your harvest.
169  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do you have to take risks. on: February 12, 2019, 09:17:00 AM
I choose to take risk because life itself is a one big risk and only those who take risk move an inche from where they where before financial to a new level .
Investing in Cryptocurrency is risky just like any other business one can think off, but Cryptocurrency investment seems to be the most rewarding as it brings high return on investment .
Basically, investing means taking calculated risks which I'm not afraid of taking.
170  Economy / Speculation / Re: FRUSTRATED AT THE MARKET. on: February 11, 2019, 11:49:53 AM
The prevailing market condition is enough to get anyone frustrated especially those that invested big before the bearish condition.
I do have confidence that the market would still come around.
It's stabilizing already,there is hope.
We should quit dwelling in negativity and try our hands on some trades or investment to recover our loss.
171  Economy / Speculation / Re: How news influence the market. on: February 11, 2019, 11:45:52 AM
I respectfully disagree with your submission that news doesn't have any effort on the market.
The Cryptocurrency market is one that is a speculative market.
News both good and bad have a way of affecting the market positively or negativily as the case maybe.
I could remember an incident that happened sometime last year, people all of a sudden started peddling news of government shut down of the blockchain.....even though the news was ridiculous, some traders and investors bought it and started dumping hard on the market which affected prices.
So news have effect on the market.
Thanks.
172  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Have you ever bought a product with Bitcoin and what do you want to buy? on: February 11, 2019, 11:39:44 AM
I am based in one of those African countries that is still under developed.
So I haven't seen any store where bitcoin is accepted as a payment medium.....reason why I have not been able to buy goods and services for bitcoin.
It would be a good development if the opportunity is extended to Africa Countries.
173  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which one do you choose? on: February 11, 2019, 11:36:09 AM
I prefer if bitcoin is used in a market place and not online stores.
My Reason is not far fetched.
I believe that if bitcoin use is limited to online stores that many that would want to really buy things using bitcoin might not get the opportunity to do because because they are not literate . Secondly, some do not have access to smart phones let alone of internet services ..for those in the rural areas.
So it's better if it's used in market places  as this could encourage user participation and increase adoption rate of bitcoin.
174  Economy / Economics / Re: Opinions about the emergence of new Coins on: February 10, 2019, 12:08:10 PM
The emergence of new coins is a good development considering the coins are been created to help improve the blockchain technology.
The coins have different usecases and that's is good for the blockchain business.
I do not think that the emergence of these coins have any effect on bitcoin whatsoever.
Bitcoin is just like the king of Cryptocurrency, so the creation of any coin is incapable of reducing bitcoin's value or popularity .
The emergence of these coins would help traders and investors to attain financial independence .
175  Economy / Economics / Re: Why the Bitcoin is still down? on: February 10, 2019, 12:01:50 PM
I read where a commentator opined that if bitcoin gets generally accepted as a payment medium that it would make more people to join the Cryptocurrency market which could mean high demand for bitcoin .....and that would increase the price of bitcoin.
Although I agree with you in theory terms ,it's feasible but in practice, I think that the price of bitcoin is determined by market speculation.
176  Economy / Economics / Re: Investing in Bitcoin in 2019? on: February 10, 2019, 11:57:39 AM
I think bitcoin is still investing on.
This is even the best time to invest in it if you plan holding for longer period of time.
Bitcoin has come to stay and so the price right now doesn't determine its value.
It's still valuable only that the price tanked.
Some of those who are scared of investing do not understand or have confidence in Cryptocurrency so they get scared easily.
Remember to invest only what you can afford to loose.
177  Economy / Economics / Re: Friends reactions to crypto currencies? on: February 10, 2019, 11:52:40 AM
I introduced not just my friends but my siblings to Cryptocurrency last year January .
I was too excited then , because I made some real money from investments during the market surge of 2017.
In my understanding, I thought it would continue that way.
Reason why I thought about introducing people.
Although few just ignored me .
But my little brother and sister with 3 friends heed to my call and invested.
They lost over 90% of their capital ,no thanks to the 2018 bearish market.
It was so painful and frustrating.
I never tried introducing it to another person ever since then.
178  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are we not abusing decentralization? on: February 10, 2019, 11:46:00 AM
I agree with your assertion that the decentralized structure of Cryptocurrency is being taken advantage of by some individuals.
For instance , some people now use it for money laundering, to sponsor terrorism, for drug trafficking and scamming activities.
This is all due to the fact that there's no way of linking this online activities to their offline addresses.
Talking about some kind of regulatory control over Cryptocurrency activities, I think it would be great and also will reduce the incidences of this criminal activities.
But the question is, how will the regulation control be implemented since what we have is not a centralized structure?
