265  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it worth the work and waiting? on: December 30, 2018, 11:58:05 AM
Personally ,I will feel bad even though I know it's not the fault of the bounty manager so to say but the prevalent market situation.
Maybe the token price tanked after it was listed on an exchange.
In this situation, I normally forget the token in my etheruem wallet pending when market recovers or the price rises.
266  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why not buy Ethereum on: December 30, 2018, 11:53:20 AM
I think you have raised some valid points in your submission but I am indifferent to it.
I'm in this business to make profit and as far as I can tell etheruem may be a very slow coin when it comes to it's price rise but it's also one of the strong coins that if as an investor you invest in it cautiously , you stand to make good progress no matter how little almost on the daily.
267  Economy / Economics / Re: Will BTC defeated in 2019? on: December 30, 2018, 11:46:12 AM
If bitcoin was nit defeated in 2018 ,I doubt if there I anything again that is capable of defeating it in the future. The year alone recorded some high levels of low and unstability in the history of bitcoin which made many think that bitcoin's end was close but in all this, bitcoin is still standing tall despite its current value in the market.
268  Economy / Economics / Re: Some advices and references for a newbie? on: December 29, 2018, 09:43:37 AM
As a newbie you would be doing yourself a great disservice putting your whole capital on one coin.
Following the crowd and fomoing.
You should shun greediness also because it has been proven that greediness is the major factor that is causing more people in Cryptocurrency business to get poorer.
269  Economy / Economics / Re: What will you do with the current market? on: December 29, 2018, 09:15:06 AM
Of a truth the current market condition is anything but encouraging.
So many have lost their funds as a result of the market downward trend and it's frustrating.
But the good news is this....the market conditions is not going to be permanent.
It will improve soon hopefully and those who never gave up on it will smile again.
270  Economy / Economics / Re: Invest in BTC vs Invest in Real Estate? on: December 29, 2018, 08:58:53 AM
Over the years investment in real estate has been said to be the best investment until the inception of Bitcoin in 2009.
Now bitcoin investment is being tooted as the best with high return on investment despite that it's a very risky investment.
Personally, I would suggest to the poster, to invest more in bitcoin and the balance in shares if his intentions is long term.
271  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto replacing fiat? on: December 28, 2018, 09:01:33 AM
Assuming cryptocurrency replaces Fiat currency , I think among the challenges that would be witnessed is those in rural areas and those that are not learned will surely be "defranchised" which could lead to protests etc.
Yes, using the public ledger anyone can see what you are holding that is if they have your wallet address.....but asking you to send it to them is not possible because there's no way of linking your wallet address to your offline address
272  Economy / Economics / Re: What will happen to Bitcoin if there is a global economic crash? on: December 28, 2018, 08:43:55 AM
Some of the commentators raised valid points in their submission but I am of the opinion that when there's a global economic crisis that cryptocurrency would be affected negatively.
This is because ,In global economic crisis people would because trapped and so won't have enough for cryptocurrency investment which will make for decreased demand and high supply.
273  Economy / Economics / Re: A cryptocurrency with volatility can't be used as money on: December 28, 2018, 08:32:07 AM
This is true in all ramifications.
The reason why cryptocurrency is seen to be more of an asset than money is because of it's volatile nature.
The Fiat money is not volatile and that is why it is functioning effectively in that regard.
274  Economy / Economics / Re: Does engaging with bitcoins put you at risk? on: December 27, 2018, 09:06:04 AM
That is why I always suggests that one should get himself/herself acquitted with the knowledge of how bitcoin works and the rules , the basics about Cryptocurrency before venturing into the business .....once this is done, dealing bitcoin will not put one in any risky position because you are well equipped to tackle any issue that might arise in the course of you dealing cryptocurrency.
275  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who's The Loser Here? on: December 27, 2018, 08:52:45 AM
The loser is the investor that didn't sell his holdings at prices above $3000 even though he knew it was imminent for Bitcoin price to reach $3000.
If he had sold at let's say $4000 ,he could have bought back at $3000 and that's would have been a plus not a minus for him.
276  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Using bitcoin without internet on: December 27, 2018, 08:48:07 AM
Using bitcoin without internet would mean a good thing to the over all development and wide spread adoption of bitcoin.
This is because most people who not have access to Internet or funds for internet subscription will now be able to use bitcoin without worrying their heads over having funds for internet subscription or not.
It is a good thing if it's possible.
277  Economy / Speculation / Re: Investors are not to panic - game is on? on: December 27, 2018, 08:42:48 AM
Yes I agree completely with your assertion.
I believe those that are panicking and saying stuff about how Cryptocurrency has reached it's dead junction are those who do not believe in the potential and benefits of Cryptocurrency .
So a little instability of the market condition usually shakes their faith in Cryptocurrency making them to panic and spread unfounded rumours and fuds.
But the believers of Cryptocurrency are not scared one bit by the market condition Because they know that it will not be forever.
278  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HOW CAN BITCOIN BE ACCEPTED TO BE USED AS A PAYMENT METHOD GLOBALLY? on: December 26, 2018, 06:10:45 AM
I think bitcoin can only be accepted as a payment medium when and if all various key technologies of blockchain are improved on .
That way the public could be able to derive valuin their everyday activities from blockchain which could spike up mass adoption.
279  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did we get what we asked for - less Bitcoin volatility? on: December 26, 2018, 06:07:25 AM
Asking for less volatility of bitcoin is akin for asking for centralized structure for bitcoin.
We need to understand that what makes bitcoin bitcoin is it's high volatile nature.
We cannot do without the volatility as it is a core feature of bitcoin.
280  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what is the difference between staking and mining??? on: December 26, 2018, 05:36:11 AM
From my own perspective, mining and staking seems to be the same thing . The difference is that while miners spend time , using mining equipments to mine Bitcoin, in staking all you need to do is stake your coins, like lending your coins to miners , they use the coins to buy one or two hardwares alternatively pay for power consumption for mining and at the end of the deal......you get paid in commensurate to the amount of coins you staked.
