This doesn't look good.

Originally they said an operational wallet was an issue, now it's 'some of Bitstamp’s operational wallets were compromised'.

If they have the cover in cold storage, maybe they can pull through?

Been using this for a week or so ... but I'm having issues when I log into myTREZOR ... the account balance doesn't always like to load, so I can't get access to the trezor, or my balance. Took 30 mins of trying yesterday before getting access, and tonight it won't load the account. Using Firefox on a MacBook.

Anybody else got issues?

Even MS accepting Bitcoin did nothing so don't hold your breath.

True ... not that any company accepting BTC has made any impact recently, I THOUGHT it may add weight.

- ssh to miner
- type "ntpd -d -n -q -p 1.openwrt.pool.ntp.org"
- If you see the text "Alarm clock" - your ntp is blocked. Open it.

Interesting, SP10s and SP20s of mine have often reverted back to the future ... in Jan 2000 ... been a challenge to bring them back to real time.

165  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] NiceHash.com - sell & buy hash rate cloud mining service / multipool on: January 04, 2015, 10:26:08 PM

SHA256 has been 5% to 10% down at times today ... hope people set their miners to dig elsewhere whilst such negativity ensues.

166  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: H/w Hosting Directory & Reputation on: January 04, 2015, 10:18:07 PM

I'll also add my endorsement for toom.im, have SP30s there and their service has been far beyond any other hosting contracts I have entered into.

167  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: January 02, 2015, 10:46:33 PM

Right now, a SP31 deal would be welcome (SP35? not sure about the increased power consumption vs hash rate debate) ... Sponds will know that many were sold about 4/5 months back ... and many of us entered into 6 month hosting contracts ... so we are thinking 'customers' right now.

As ever the landscape has changed in that short time ... and next gen will maybe make an impact in Q1 2015.

Am I right in thinking that your top SP31 is sucking in air from the PSU side, but the SP20s and S5 are doing the opposite and throwing air out?

Doesn't that get a little 'circular' ?

Agreed, delivery companies can be troublesome at times, however ...

My GB SP20s were shown to be delivered on Wednesday by DHL (UK) website, and they REALLY surprised me and delivered a day early on Tuesday.

Not happened before and probably won't again ...

You might be thinking of the front LED; it isn't that one that's flashing.

If a hard reset didn't work, then the PSU may well need replacing ... had this happen on a SP10 PSU a few months back, but if I remember correctly when they flash red, the PSU is usually dead.

171  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: [ESHOP launched] Trezor: Bitcoin hardware wallet on: January 01, 2015, 09:32:08 PM
You will get there as well, no worries! Smiley

True, having now tried every permutation I can think of ... sending/receiving ... trezor plugged in/trezor unplugged ... tell the site to forget the device etc.. I can see good security is built in.

172  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: [ESHOP launched] Trezor: Bitcoin hardware wallet on: January 01, 2015, 01:05:23 AM
Also received a Trezor today ... much smaller a device than I imagined ... not that is a problem .. but god the display is small.

Does feel a bit weird trusting my BTC to this little device via a website.

I've always used the manual option ... updated x6 SP20s yesterday to 2.5.61 (which was the latest available at the time) ... all running rock solid.

174  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: December 30, 2014, 11:29:12 PM
Update firmware on 4 sp20s remotely only 2 rebooted successfully.  Had to take a trip over and power cycled the others.

Out of four, I had to hard reboot one ... why don't the SP20s ship with the latest firmware?

175  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] NiceHash.com - sell & buy hash rate cloud mining service / multipool on: December 30, 2014, 11:12:17 PM
SHA56 is showing a lowly 1% plus above ... been negative since the rush a couple of weeks ago. MRR are also up ...

One to watch?

Pool luck has been very good recently, but of course this has to change at times. This pool currently shows 3,488THs ... by comparison look at BitMinters luck over the last week. They have roughly half the hash rate, and the last six blocks average 4+ days to 50 minutes.

178  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [∞ YH] solo.ckpool.org 0.5% fee anonymous solo bitcoin and free testnet mining! on: December 30, 2014, 09:57:42 PM

Today I updated the miners I have at home, which saw 11 S3s consigned to a cold state.

Made me think ... stick a plug back on one and put it on here.

440ghs isn't a lot, but a lottery this is, as they say 'you've got to be in it to win it'.

179  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Unofficial Spondoolies SP20 thread on: December 30, 2014, 05:50:38 PM

My GB SP20s arrived earlier today, making a total of 6 now, and after a little bit of underclock tinkering I'm really happy with the results.

All are set to the same settings on the latest 2.5.61 firmware.

Fan Speed 20
Start Voltage 0.66
Max Voltage 0.665
Max Watts 120

#1) 1076 ghs
#2) 1013 ghs
#3) 1040 ghs
#4) 1051 ghs
#5) 1073 ghs
#6) 1084 ghs

All units stable after an hour of hashing.

The S3s are now switched off for good, and this little set-up now saves me around 800W and produces much more hash rate.

Apart from the power efficiency, what I really like is the ability to increase my total hash rate instantly if required (when BTC goes up again  Roll Eyes)

Of course, there is still room to underclock more should I need to.

unless new tech comes out and doubles or tripples returns.

2015 will present new opportunities, but may have to wait until Q2 before they get released. Tipple return? Not likely.
