162  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Good hot wallet recommendation on: November 28, 2020, 02:29:31 PM
would you recommend some good hot wallets?
You could have mentioned the type of coin you want to keep on the wallet, not all wallets are multi coin supporter, for Bitcoin I'd go with electrum wallet or bread wallet and for others I will definitely choose trust wallet or atomic wallet, it's are just more easier with multi wallet as you don't have to keep switching from a wallet to another, it supports over 100+ altcoins including bitcoin itself
163  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Exodus wallet. on: November 28, 2020, 02:26:49 PM
Hello, I am a real noobie,  is the Exodus wallet for bitcoin safe and ok to use, thanks.
Exodus wallet is a bit better with no additional features, most especially when trying to send out some tokens or you received a new token in your Ethereum address, it's never going to show up until you add the smart contract address of the token manually, you can't also adjust gas fees yourself.
164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are ICOs dead? on: November 27, 2020, 03:08:06 PM
ICO is 80% dead because investors don't feel comfortable around ICO projects anymore, only very few high quality projects are using ICO today that's where the remaining 20% lies, a project that's going to use ICO to raise fund today must be extremely well made and very good like Avalanche project, ICO is not completely dead but only high quality projects dares to use ICO today
165  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are your favorite shopping cryptocurrency? on: November 27, 2020, 03:02:55 PM
The most craze black Friday deal of this year 2020 belongs to binance exchange, a massive 50% off for newcomers that registered and buy up to 1000$ worth of bitcoin, the exchange team said they are going to choose 40 different winners, the eligibility period ends this December 4, that is insane  Shocked Shocked Shocked
Actually its two promotion not one, there is another promotion from binance that's for those who already have active accounts on binance exchange, buy as many bitcoin as you can and get 20% off but I guess this is for the rich or whales only, the more you buy the higher your chance of winning
166  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin do you trust, BNB or ETH? on: November 26, 2020, 03:42:16 PM
I trust both coins, Ethereum is a full decentralized project and it delivers up to its standard, BNB is a Centralized token that revaluates base on the binance exchange performance, meaning that BNB token is useless outside binance exchange since it's a 100% exchange token but still binance is a very reliable crypto exchange, one of the best
167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What about IEO in altcoin season? on: November 26, 2020, 03:39:02 PM
It's certain that IEO will double your invested money or even triple it if the project is from top exchanges and its utility is very useful for crypto space but still IEO don't have the same hype as ICO, the hype difference between ICO and IEO is massive, No thanks to scammers if not we will still be enjoying ICO success till today
168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: You can't always hit the right target on: November 25, 2020, 03:58:31 PM
It's better to learn how to detect promising projects than blindly promote any projects you see just because you aren't so sure which one will be successful, I used to promote projects I like without any good reasons and I end up wasting too many times in the past, things start taking unexpected turns the moment I start doing research on new projects, you will get less bad results if you improve the way to do research
169  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I believe I made the right choice on: November 25, 2020, 03:53:23 PM
That's not really an easy decision since you might not know when will the bull run for altcoin will last, but your really brave for you such rigs. I hope you will at least recover your investment and it's much better if you managed to get profit out of it. Good luck to you mate!
It's true that the altcoin season might not be around for a long time but Bitcoin isn't done yet, if OP can get in fast he will make some profits before altcoin season disappears, even if there is no altcoin season I just prefer buying POS (proof of stake) coins and stake them through trust wallet or Binance exchange, less stress and easy money making than mining
170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are centralized projects more reliable right now? on: November 24, 2020, 01:50:22 PM
The name DeFi is been used to take advantage of the hype months ago, don't rely on decentralized projects to keep your funds safe, even Scammers have their ways to scam DEX exchange users, both centralized and decentralized projects aren't 100% safe, the only place where your funds is safe is your wallet that you owned private keys
171  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it a good time to get in or not on: November 24, 2020, 01:46:02 PM
Bitcoin is over 19k right now, it's getting more dangerous to get into Bitcoin right now, I think the best strategy is to go for altcoins instead, there is XRP, XMR, ETH, BNB, LINK, etc, these altcoins aren't close to their old ATH in 2017, they are just getting warming up for the next altcoin season, start buying before it gets too late
172  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trust newbies that starts projects? on: November 21, 2020, 04:07:10 PM
I know many project managers that handles good projects such as Jamalezaz, bounty detective, and many others most of them are either hero members or legend, I believe they have enough experience to handle it mere considering their ranks, not to say the rank is the only criteria to be a good project manager.i always doubt those project starters with newbie ranks.is it that they decide to use a new forum page,or were the restarting after being hacked or disqualified or how come a new be is handling a project? This are few questions that comes to my mind about newbie managers.
Some newbie Managers can be inexperienced and not comparable like Hhampuz and wapinter or others but there is always a first time for everything, some new bounty managers are willing to help, we need more bounty managers we can count on like bubbalex and others but if we can't support new bounty managers it will be a waste

Let the project concept do the talking, you can't deny a good project because it's been managed by a newbie or jr member, your duty is to check out the bounty project first, who knows it might be good enough, I've promoted few projects from newbies are they are good, one is Oikos DeFi and the other is Relictum Pro, both managed by jr member accounts
174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Forget bounties and Airdrops on: November 20, 2020, 02:02:44 PM
I can still see people making over 2000$ from bounties only, how can you said they should forget bounties? Even now that the market is changing there is high possibility that bounties will be very profitable from now and 2021, this ain't the time to avoid bounties
175  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Reputable exchanges for a newbie to start with on: November 20, 2020, 01:59:56 PM
Hi,

I've set up my first mobile Android wallet with Electrum, I'll be getting a Ledger/Trezor soon, and I'm at the stage of toying with the some very small transactions. I've asked a friend to send me a very small amount of his BTC (mates rates weren't applicable apparently given the ATH at the moment  Grin).

I'm now looking to try some reputable exchanges. I'm in the UK if that makes a difference. I obviously heard of Coinbase (and Pro), but I'm looking for some suggestions from you guys that have been in it a while. Which are your favourites and why? I've been through about the first 20+ pages of this section and tried the search looking for the subject phrase "exchange" but not really come across any that give newbies a starting point. I'm all for DYOR, but it would be nice to get some starter opinions on BTC exchanges first. I understand that these would be personal opinions.

Also, I know not to leave BTC on the exchanges, but as far removing BTC goes is it best to send straight to hardware wallet (assuming you have one), or should you send it to say a mobile wallet first, or does it just not matter?

Many thanks for any suggestions guys.
Stay away from small exchanges and you should be fine, top exchanges like binance, Okex, huobi, gate, kucoin, bithumb, etc are far reliable than exchanges like p2pb2b, exmarket, latoken, and others, the difference is small exchanges lacks volume and they have no choice but to use fake volume instead
176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gold or Bitcoin on: November 19, 2020, 03:01:54 PM
In terms of profit making bitcoin has the highest win here, gold has no high price revaluation like Bitcoin and Bitcoin creates more opportunities to earn than gold, buy low and sell high is what makes bitcoin and even many altcoins a better investment
177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Forget bounties and Airdrops on: November 19, 2020, 02:59:08 PM
The biggest money making slot in crypto space is to be

1. a developer
2. build crypto wallets for new projects
3. find bugs in the system of many new projects

yes some paid for security breaching and all that stuff, rendering professional services is the best way to make money in crypto space now
You make things look like it's over for bounties or bounties and Airdrops aren't profitable anymore, the fact is many new projects are still seeking for bounty hunters to promote their projects for them, if bounty isn't effective no new projects will introduce campaigns anymore
178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I could consider staking if .... on: November 18, 2020, 01:54:06 PM
Don't be scared OP it's 100% safe to stake your coins on either top exchanges or inside trust wallet and other popular wallets that supports staking, what I don't recommend is staking on small exchanges because they can turn scam any time
179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Be aware of a possible new exchange SCAM - I need your opinion on: November 18, 2020, 01:49:16 PM
Good afternoon,

I would really appreciate your advice on something as I believe that I was a victim of scam yesterday but I am not 100% sure.

I was told by someone that I know the last month and never met in person about an investment opportunity. Before you tell me that I am an idiot, how I was involved with this person and the reason that I trusted her is another discussion.

The coin is named VOT (Valid Order Chain) and is listed in an exchange that is called www.kolomine.com. I searched online if this exchange is a scam and I could not find any advere media. I then sent my whole bankroll 0.5 BTC and I bought VOT. Invite Code and account authentication were also needed which made the possible scam more real.

However, today I noticed the following, I can not sell the VOT coins that I bought and according to that person the ico needs to be ended in order for me to be able to sell. I could not find any ico details online. The service email has a gmail domain. There are only four wallets available (BTC, ETH, USDT and VOT) but the website operates with 23 coins for trade. When you press buy you go to another page where the following info are available.

VOT ERC20 Token Address:0x3d7afa0322f6dd2e28c16271d74e5aa22f968b48

Total Supply: 100,000,000  VOT

Total subscription: 70,000,000  VOT

Private placement price: 0.046 USDT

Subscription Time: 90 days

The Token Address belongs to VOT but there are no transactions available. The white paper is also available but I was not able to find any of the founders in the Linkedin and their names seem to be ordinary.

I am 99% sure that I was victim of a scam and I just remembered the reason that I stopped dealing with all crypto sh*t 3 years ago.

Please tell me your opinion on this.

Thank you

To me if you can't find any reviews about a particular new exchange it's still a red flag to proceed and deposit on such exchanges, did you come on this forum to find the exchange ANN page? I guessing it's not available either, don't use exchanges that aren't known on here because this is the perfect place to get quick answers
180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin continues the positive trend today, is the altcoin market in trouble? on: November 17, 2020, 12:09:52 PM
today I read several articles. and I found an interesting article. the article was titled if bitcoin is sideways then it allows altcoins to rally higher.

you can read it here> https://cointelegraph.com/news/sideways-bitcoin-price-allows-defi-ethereum-and-altcoins-to-rally-higher

what I want to ask is what if bitcoin is not sideways ?. as at this time bitcoin continues its positive trend, BTC is past $ 16k. Will this put the altcoin market into trouble?

I'm looking at ethereum, and some altcoins like nothing has changed. I am afraid that if the bitcoin trend continues the altcoin market will decline. so maybe now is a good time to sell altcoins before that happens.

what do you think my choice is wrong?
If Bitcoin keeps surging we should be celebrating and not worrying about altcoins unless you don't know how crypto works, after bitcoin grows higher altcoins will start revaluating as well and both small and big projects will become profitable once again, it's a very good thing that Bitcoin continues it's uptrend
