41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Defi can compete with BTC? on: February 12, 2021, 05:21:20 AM
There is nothing there to compete about because DeFi and BTC have different use cases, also DeFi isn't a single project but BTC is just one, DeFi projects have different use cases and it doesn't feel right to put DeFi against BTC
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is It Still Profitable To Mine Cryptos In 2021 on: February 12, 2021, 05:19:54 AM

Mining rigs are expensive. I also wanted to do mine coins but there are just things to consider like electricity.

The ones that are easily mine are coins like IDENA because it just need solving a captcha and then you earn the coins which they consider mining. This could actually be a good coin to mine but needs constant monitoring since you have to solve arranging pictures which is how they are mined.

Getting paid for solving captcha and arranging pictures isn't real mining, this is like joining and claiming faucets like the old days, I've heard about IDENA through bounty campaign but never knew they would use this stupid idea as their mining strategy
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is It Still Profitable To Mine Cryptos In 2021 on: February 12, 2021, 05:17:17 AM
Yes mining is presently very profitable if you have free electricity or cheap electricity, also to get your ROI back faster you must mine every hour of every day, the most profitable coin presently is Ethereum
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / VPN on mining pool on: February 11, 2021, 05:59:19 AM
This question I'm about to ask may sound annoying to the ear, if that's the case pls pardon me, is it possible to use VPN on mining pool just to get better speed and less rejected shares? The pool I'm using supports for example USA so if I use VPN and my location change to USA will this increase performance?
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bricked GPU? on: February 11, 2021, 05:51:38 AM
Next time if you are ever going to flash a bios on a graphic card before buying make sure the graphic card has a dual bios switch, I only ordered for RX580s with dual bios switch on them all because anything can happen when you trying to flash a bios, anyways I hope you've learned a lesson, use youtube to recover your gpu
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: These old cards still useful? on: February 11, 2021, 05:45:15 AM
I have loads of gtx970 and hd7970 here, is there any use for this cards or I should just torse the away ? I try selling but no one is buying, people don't use these cards anymore? I have put the cards on several stores and not even a hi from anyone
Yes they are still useful for gaming and graphics editing, you can still sell them for good amount of money and if mining is on your mind just use the money to buy future proof graphic cards that will last you for years like RX5700XT or RTX3070, 3080
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Do you also mine any of these coins? on: February 11, 2021, 05:40:48 AM
There are less new proof of work coins to mine today but I learned the hard way, out of 15 different coins that I mined in 2016 to 2017 only three did very well in the market, others are just pump and dump projects, mining different new coins to make huge money is like a complete gambling, it's better to mine coins that have good value in the market and profitable to mine too
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I Feel Confuse !!! on: February 10, 2021, 07:52:23 PM

when I looked at the gas content in my ERC 20 wallet it was not enough to send the alt I had to the exchange, because the gas fee were very high.
do you have a cheaper way to send tokens ??

share your opinion ,,please
Unfortunately we are all experiencing this difficulty on Ethereum network right now and there is nothing anyone can do about it, not even Ethereum CEO himself, the only way to send your tokens is to add more ETH to your wallet balance, sorry for the inconvenient
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which stablecoin is best? on: February 10, 2021, 07:47:25 PM
USDT is the best, it's well popular and active on three different blockchain platforms including Tron, even if gas fee becomes a problem you can use Tron network instead, also this stable coin has the highest gas fee and liquidity, if this coin can't be trusted binance won't use it and also other top exchanges
50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Potential of an altcoin on: February 10, 2021, 07:43:49 PM
People needs to understand that things won't keep going well forever, ups and downs is just how this life was created, you need to be less greedy to make good money in this space, if you haven't learn how to control your greed it won't go well for you because you will be caught in bears web before you know it
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 4 x 3060ti build on: February 07, 2021, 06:09:10 AM
It depends on your budget and your future plans, you are the only one that can figure this out

1. How much can you afford for a motherboard? Are you on tight budget or not ?

2. Do you want a motherboard for the four graphic cards only or you might consider more graphic cards in the future? If yes then buy MOBO with more than 4 pcie slots, like 6,8,12 or even 16

ONLY YOU CAN MAKE THE CHOICE
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Motherboard wattage consumptions on: February 07, 2021, 05:54:26 AM
Sorry guys, my question might sound dump, I don't have a wattmeter here but I want to know the watt that motherboards can consume when using then for gpu mining, that is Not using their CPU to mine, only gpu, can you give an estimate? thanks
Motherboard is small consuming around 10watt that depend on the board it self, assuming you are using dedicated mobo with disable many features, and only focused on mining, ssd consume around 5watt, cpu 20watt, base on skylake celeron with b250 mobo..
That's going to be a different story for those who are using old mobo to mine, even at idle with no load on old CPU they consume some watt than new mobo like 6th gen and 7th gen, I think it has something to do with their nm size , HDD or SDD doesn't matter much to me
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Becareful when mining coins on: February 07, 2021, 05:50:06 AM
just use simplemining OS and be virus free.
Some prefers windows for other reasons, mining OS is a complete mining OS only, you can't do other things on the OS than to mine but with windows you can do lots of things, standalone mining OS is good for those who don't care about other things but mining only

Well ideally mining rigs should only mine.

But real world many want windows 10.

I have lots of rigs most are smos.

But I do mine on a few win 10 builds.
There are some who thought that hiveOS and other Linux OS builds are going to be like the real Linux so they avoid them at all cost, that was how I always view mining OS before until i end up giving it a try and it is lovable, far more stable than windows but of course we can't do without windows OS
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which altcoins are more friendly with Bitcoin? on: February 06, 2021, 03:53:17 PM
At first I thought your topic is talking about which altcoin is more friendly with bitcoin in value movement, that would be NEO, but in your own case I believe the answer is Ethereum, ETH is still above every other altcoins in the market today and near popular and recognized like Bitcoin
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Another crypto ban is here on: February 06, 2021, 09:51:43 AM
It's only a matter of time  Grin, it's not the first time to see new ban on crypto like this, maybe the government don't even understand what crypto is all about? But they should know that it's really changing the lives of many in that country, they can't provide jobs and people find other way and now they want to block that again?
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Token holders be prepared on: February 06, 2021, 08:45:59 AM
Now it's time to opt to Tron network instead, all the tokens I hold in my wallet are not up to 70$ and using over 20$ to send them to exchange is something I can't do, it doesn't make any sense, also what's holding the EIP 1559 from launching? I heard this can solve the high gas fee on Ethereum network
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Know ,How long the asic have been working? on: February 06, 2021, 07:46:08 AM
When it comes to asic miners you don't want to buy used ones, a friend buy two pieces from aliexpress and they are fault, he had to send them back, if the seller is living close to you then you can take your eye there and check things out yourself before paying, I'd rather prefer to buy new asic miner
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: I have $6000 to start mining, what should I buy? on: February 04, 2021, 05:30:17 PM
Hi there! My name is Agustín and I'm from Argentina. I've been interested in crypto for a couple of years now, but now with a couple of friends we decided to invest in mining.

We live in Argentina where electricity fees are very low. Our first choice is to put together a GPU rig to mine ETH and then reinvest our earnigs (I expect to be in 12 months max) in a good ASIC for mining BTC.

But of course, I'm writing this to ask help to the experts. What would you recommend me? Thank you so much in advance!
Now it's GPU vs ASIC, you can earn ROI faster with Asic miner if you go with the fastest ones but once the become obsolete it's the end, you will have hard time trying to sell compare to graphic cards, GPUs can still be used for graphics work and also gaming so you can sell them easily in future
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How does Polkadot crypto come to 7th position? is a scam? on: February 04, 2021, 05:26:46 PM
I don't get you OP, if a coin takes over so many top ranking coins that makes them scam? It's that easy to beat top ranking coins today? This isn't 2017 where an hype can push any altcoin to top 10 rank, now it's all about more hardwork, Polkadot deserves the rank because it works to achieve it, not by FOMO but by real use case
60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH keep breaking record and what happened to BCH? on: February 03, 2021, 01:48:56 PM
It's too early to tell what could happen with BCH, Ethereum still gotta follow bitcoin thread anyways and that's also for other altcoins too so let's wait for more bullish moments in near future, if you have some BCH it's better to keep holding, anything can still happen
