164  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTS Cablesaurus cables on: December 09, 2012, 08:23:23 PM
How fast would shipping be? To New York? And for how much? Thanks!

I would do priority shipping coming from Utah so probably a couple days.  Make me an offer. Smiley
165  Economy / Computer hardware / WTS Cablesaurus cables on: December 08, 2012, 07:52:22 PM
I have a bunch of cables that I bought about a year ago from cablesaurus.  I'm no longer using them so I'm looking to sell all of them.

Asking 9 BTC for the lot.

Here is what I have (they may be slightly different from the pics):

Dual PSU 24-Pin Adapter Cable
QTY:4

PCIe x16 Extender Cable w/ Molex Connector
QTY:19

PCIe x1 -> x16 Adapter Extender Cable w/ Molex Connector
QTY:3

I also have 1 PCIe x1 -> x16 w/ Molex that doesn't extend the full length where it connects to the GPU but it works just as well.  I couldn't find a picture for this one and I'm too lazy to take a picture and upload and all that jazz.

I'm asking 9 BTC for the lot.  I'd like to sell them all as a lot but I can sell parts as well.
Make me an offer in BTC - I'll do escrow with btcrow.com if you'd like or if you are comfortable with paying first then we can do that.
166  Economy / Goods / WTB BitForce Mini Rig SC on: December 07, 2012, 06:58:23 PM
Anyone with a good place in line for the BitForce Mini Rig SC willing to sell it to me?  Please pm me with a price and your order #.  I would probably pay with bitcoins in escrow (btcrow.com?).
167  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [2500 GH/s] Slush's Pool (mining.bitcoin.cz); TX FEES + Stratum on: December 02, 2012, 03:06:04 PM
So...I updated all my miners to the latest cgminer but the Stratum column still says no for all of them.  Is there something else I need to do?

169  Economy / Currency exchange / WTB intrade funds, have BTC on: October 31, 2012, 02:04:04 PM
I would like to buy 60btc worth in intrade funds.  I'd like to use btcrow.com as escrow.

I've tried contacting intrade@tormail.org (he is the only one advertising doing this) but he hasn't responded and it has been almost 2 days now (maybe he is stuck without internet due to Sandy?).

In any case, please let me know if you are interested.

It looks like you sent me the rest of the bounty.  I thank you again.
171  Other / Off-topic / Re: [14 BTC bounty] http://findmeifyoucan.eu on: October 29, 2012, 02:11:44 PM
MelMan2002, would you be ok with splitting the bounty with Sans-EXP if he presents the info on how he caught me?

Like you said before, you make the rules.  I'm perfectly happy with 7btc.

If it makes you happier, it was more than a stab in the dark.  I went through all of joe's posts looking for spelling/grammar oddities and kept searching the forum to look for trends.  It took me a few hours actually.  And when I found a pretty good match with molecular I went through many of his posts to see if anything seemed to convincingly disprove my theory.

I almost gave up a couple hours into it because I wasn't sure that I was getting anywhere...

Anyway - it was a lot of fun.  Thank you very much!

Hey fellow bitcoiners,

I am really a registered user in this forum since at least summer 2012. I set up this secondary, hopefully anonymous identity to give away some free bitcoins by ways of a challenge:

challenge:

I hereby challenge you to find the real me!

I set up a site on the net: http://findmeifyoucan.eu

I hereby promise to pay BTC 14 to anyone who provides one of the following pieces of information identifying the operator of findmeifyoucan.eu or (which is the same) the author of this post:

  • forum account id of 'real me'
  • my real name and (address or phone number or date of birth)
  • any IP-address that could be traced to my real identity by authorities

rules:

  • Rules are to be interpreted by me, in case of dispute, I am right, you are wrong
  • you must post here one of the above infos and a bitcoin address to which the bounty should be sent
  • you must provide a credible story of how you obtained the info
  • a 'hunch' is not enough, no guessing
  • I can change these rules at any time and will do so in OP (Original Post, the one you're reading)
  • the state of the OP at the time of claim is decisive for the rules, so please quote OP when claiming bounty

notes:

  • I'll give away small amounts of bitcoin to people pointing out flaws/mistakes/possible improvements regarding my anonymity
  • speculation in this thread is encouraged

additional info leaked:

  • theymous publishes the IP I use to access bitcointalk: 188.165.73.235
  • theymos publishes PM in which I ask MysteryMiner wether he was one of the german guys wearing masks at the Conference in London.
  • it is discovered that joe uses lastpass
  • "real me"s timezone has leaked: "it indicates timezone somewhere near UTC."

rewards payed for valuable feedback to:

  • MysteryMiner
  • Jasinlee
  • Openyoureyes

feel free to ask any questions... I might be happy to answer... or not.

you wouldn't have found anything about the "initial funding transaction", I think. I "cleaned" the funds using silkraod, that 10 BTC "initial load" is a silkroad withdrawl.

You are molecular.  He is the only one who mistypes "silkraod" like that.

173  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: OPEN LETTER to Donald, Patrick & Amir RE: Bitcoinica on: October 22, 2012, 11:45:03 PM
Genjix and phantomcircuit are not scammers.  If this was an inside job, these two people were not in on it.

My vote is still on the creation of an "Utterly incompetent" tag.

I don't care if they were part of an inside job or not.  The fact is, they had (still have?) control of MY MONEY (USD and BTC) and did not give ANY of it back despite repeated requests and proof of ownership.  If that doesn't warrant a scammer tag for these guys then what on earth does??
174  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Romney's tax returns - first Bitcoin extortion? on: October 22, 2012, 11:04:04 PM

Looks like it is probably the same guy (based on his "preview" of "document 3").  Don't know how he thinks that he can prove that they are genuine...even I can photoshop a tax document and I have very little in photo editing skills.

http://politicker.com/2012/10/meet-two-of-the-developers-behind-the-internet-october-surprise/

Turns out to be a giant RickRoll. I'm glad that the internet is getting to the point where we are almost consuming our culture almost as fast as it is being created, and investigating things until they're completely exposed.

Indeed - sad that they really couldn't come up with something better than a lame RickRoll.
175  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: OPEN LETTER to Donald, Patrick & Amir RE: Bitcoinica on: October 22, 2012, 05:22:49 PM
How is it that phantomcircuit STILL doesn't have a scammer tag??

Well, IF pirate was working as a pass-through for Zeek then it looks like it will be a long slog.  The receiver for Zeek now has a plan but still a lot of work ahead of him:
http://mlmhelpdesk.com/breaking-zeek-rewards-news-zeek-receiver-files-preliminary-liquidation-plan-with-updates-on-asset-recovery-clawbacks-and-claims-process/

I guess their next update is on Oct 30th.  We'll have to keep a close eye on that...

To note, when I first had suspicions (Sep 6th) that pirate may be tied to Zeek I sent a email of inquiry to info@ZeekRewardsReceivership.com as to whether they could confirm that pirate was a participant in Zeek but I still have yet to hear back from them (I'm sure they are swamped with emails).  I'll certainly give a report if I ever do hear from them.

Bitcoin Watch says:

Bitcoins sent last 24h    29,845,489.11 BTC

Wow!   Shocked

Interesting - what is that figure usually at?
179  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 1 hour for a safe transaction? really? how is this being addressed? on: September 15, 2012, 02:50:55 AM
I understand ZipConf tried to address this:
