161  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 3% loss 10% profit -> sell on: April 03, 2019, 12:48:07 PM
If I set a 3% loss on my initial investment as a stop loss and a 10% profit as a stop for selling, will that make me trade too often ?
It would entirely depend on the coin you are investing into. 3% stoploss maybe good to avoid excess loss but there would actually not be that need to set a stop-profit. Even if your coin crosses 10% profit, than even you can hold that coin by setting up a new stop-loss which will never make you have loss instead of profits.

This would be a good strategy for making profits rather than loss but you should be cautious each time to avoid losing more than you could win. Also each time try to buy at a dip which would give you major chances of reaching your expected price and it would rather be much profitable for you.
162  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: EUR market: why is it so unpopular among Europeans? on: April 03, 2019, 11:31:13 AM
Meaning: lots of traders are from Europe and SEPA zone (especially from Germany, UK, Fance, Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Belgium). SEPA payments are fast enough, liquidity is also good.

Why the don't you, Europeans, trade in /EUR markets?

Even the Europeans know their currency is just fake Dollars. Everybody knows that the Dollar is the original FIAT money. It is also just easier to price everything in dollars rather than converting the price to Euros everytime.
I'd bet your national currency might be Dollars. It goes convenient for us to use the fiat currency which is out national currency but if you ask any European, i think he/she will surely like trading with Euros rather than Dollars. Dollars are usually been seen in most currency trades but even Euros have the liquidity and ability of fast transactions.

But, considering into the cryptocurrency world, most what would be preferred would be dollars because it is easy to use, used everywhere and can be traded for almost anything. I won't agree with you that the euros are fake Dollar as every currency has got its importance.
163  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Keep proper distance but not losing passion on: April 03, 2019, 08:00:12 AM
Daytrading is essentially gambling the money is in long term holding

This is also a complicated question

Up to a point where such overgeneralizations become meaningless and utterly misleading. To put it differently, you can't possibly say that day trading is gambling while long-term holding is not as both can be gambling just as easily as they may not. Obviously, it all depends on the individual engaged in any of these. It should be clear that people can lose money irrespective of their investment horizons (short term versus long term) just as they can earn profits riding both short-term volatility and global trends
Day-trading can be a bit complicated and riskier than long term trading and perhaps so @Indamuck compares day trading along with gambling. Day-trading usually goes smoothly with higher trade volume coins as there always are much buyers and sellers for the particular coin flying the price and giving us a opportunity to make minor profits in short term trading.

Whereas we entirely wait in long term trading to expect the price reach above our limits and than we place sell orders. Usually long term trading can be profitable and hence is considered by various traders. Short term trading will really require a lot of knowledge and ability to graph the price index to see profits growing up.
164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ARRIVAL IEOs _ Investigate before investing on: April 03, 2019, 07:29:52 AM
Recently several exchanges have announced launch pad, where ICO are sold and listed in those exchanges almost immediately at a high price.
This have attracted many investors.

Please while investing in the IEOs don't forget to investigate most of those exchanges because very soon scammers will soon take advantage of the IEO.
We haven't began to see scam projects in the IEO space because it is relatively new, but I think it's a good thing that we are already beginning to enlighten users about scam IEO projects that might rise up in the future, how to know them and also how to avoid them, this information might not be so important now but I can assure us that in few months to come we might need to come back to this information to know how to know this scam platform.

Let's continue to help our community and send the scammers parking.
165  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most expensive cryptocurrencies on the market? on: April 03, 2019, 06:57:27 AM
Hi folks,
this seems like a trivial thread but I was reading this today > https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@thecrytotrader/5-cryptocurrencies-which-are-more-expensive-then-bitcoin
this was published one year ago.
For example, the coin named 42-coin is by far the most expensive (at the time of the article it was above $50,000, right now it is still well above $15,000 per coin).

I know market capitalization matters much more than the actual price, but just curious, do you ever consider the actual price of the coin before buying? I mean what motivates people to buy these very expensive coins?

Any constructive opinion welcome.
We have so many coin in the market that are very much expensive and I don't see any reason why people actually make purchase of this coin.

Because, most of this coin don't have a real life value to the crypto community and I can be very sure that they might not be an increase in the price of that coin anymore since it has gotten to the pick it can get, maybe there is a ways they make profit from this coins, or this coins are owned by whales in the crypto space who has a lot of money and don't know what to do with it.
166  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Knowing when to sell off your crypto investment on: April 03, 2019, 06:14:53 AM
I don't think there should be a particular time for you to sell off your crypto holdings, unless you are saving them on a short term basis and might need to make use of the fund pretty soon, once you watch the market mooning for a while and then you begin to see the market become bearish for a while, let's say for two weeks, then it's time for you to pull out the profit you have made already because a dip might start pretty soon and it won't be good if you are affected since you are holding your coins on a short term basis.
167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about MultiVAC? on: April 02, 2019, 06:45:15 AM
I was sort of avoiding it tbh jist becaise of the name but it does not look so bad to be a new good blockchain. They going IEO at Kucoin. What do you think whether it will be worth it? There was quite some dump on this IEO. It is may be good liquidity but also investment evaporaser.
I haven't really checked out the project to see what it's all about and what it has to offer in the crypto space, but I can assure you that it would turn out to be a good project since it's one of the first project in the IEO world, it's just like the ICO world, we saw a lot of project rising at first that actually made meaning because they achieved the purpose at which the ICO was being carried out, but we later began to see a lot of scam projects coming into the ICO space and making it difficult for investors to trust ICO projects anymore.
168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is blockchain job friendly? on: April 02, 2019, 06:09:09 AM
Hello guys, I have been reading lately a lot of articles about how blockchain adoption can improve a lot of services and not only, which I truly believe too.
But what jobs or services you think will be suppressed and which will be created if we adopt blockchain.
It's depending on the kind of job you want to go do, blockchain programming is not any different than the normal programming we all know.

The only reason why it is called blockchain programming is because you are building a blockchain project and for this reason it might not be possible for you to build this project no matter your experience in programming if you don't know how the blockchain works from A - Z and how to maximize the blockchain space, I think this is what one should learn first before trying to program on the blockchain.

170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Confidence in Cryptocurrency on: March 30, 2019, 09:04:40 PM
Exchangers and wallets must increase their security and provide guarantees to users, in the event of hacking they dare to reimburse costs. so that investors get their trust in the crypto market again.
Most times, the security challenged that is attached to hacking may not even be the fault of the exchanges or wallet order than the user of these 2, we find hard to believe that the major cause of this security threat is the carelessness of the holders.

Most exchange have already put necessary measures in place that will secure the fund of an investors from their own end but the carelessness of the user with the details provided to him has made hackers successful, many don’t even use strong password because they want something they can easily remember which will take a good hacker few minutes to crack, charity begins at home, we need to work on ourselves too before accusing exchanges and wallets.

Everyone wants to earn here. But not everyone knows how to have a money management in terms of investing in cryptocurrency. Borrowing money is really not the right thing to do. You are risking the money that you only borrowed with unsure of giving it back intact. If we are just be wise how to use money while trading or investing, we can still reach our goals in life.
Yep you're right man. Borrowing money to invest in cryptocurrency is a very wrong thing for anyone to do and its a huge risk. You're investing that money without knowing if you're going to. From it or not, they just assume they are going to earn profit, which is wrong. Even if you had your own money, you should also be careful with it. Just invest what you can afford to lose, in case you happen to lose it.

I think those people all do that because of what they were all told. Some people see cryptocurrency, especially Bitcoin, as a place for making quick money. I have seen a lot of people here calling Bitcoin free money and I just ask myself when did Bitcoin turn to free money? So, it's due to their thinking and based on what they were told by their friends. So they just want to get in and make quick money and then quit, but unfortunately for them it doesn't work like that.
174  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Mistakes newbie makes in trading resulting to losses on: March 22, 2019, 08:32:14 PM
4- the fear of missing of out is another major strategy whales use in manipulating prices thats attract newbies to buy at all time high.

That's the point I'm still working on after 4 years of trading and 2 years trading for living. I'm still to scared of missing opportunity for lambo than to lose money. Good think is that I'm aware of that and working on it constantly.
This FOMO has been the reason why we see so many rich people enjoying lives and spending on luxuries.
They made millions in cryptocurrency when all of us were sleeping. Initially the price had been very down. Say $1.
Four year of stay here and I bet you would have made fortune. Try to come up with ideas that could work based on the blockchain technology. This thing is getting very profitable with the passage of time.

176  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is Cheap Until April, We’ll Never See Price at $3,000 Again: Trader on: March 17, 2019, 08:24:42 PM
From December 2018 (date on which Bitcoin gradually losts value from ~$6k to ~$3,5k) to March 2019 the Bitcoin value has remained around $3,500 with small up and down here and there.

"gradually" for this particular price drop is the understatement of the year Wink

from $20k (the top of the bubble) down to $6k (bottom of the bubble burst) tool more than 7 months and that is 70% drop.
then we stayed there for more than 6 months building up a solid bottom.
the drop from $6k down to $3k (>50%) only took 12 days which is actually why i never considered it a real drop and i call this state we are in right now a "reverse bubble".
This your analysis shows that trend does not come to play in the price movement of bitcoin or other Cryptocurrency, for the fact that it followed a particular trends from the past doesn’t mean the trend will repeat itself.

I also see BTC touching the price of $3k if many investors pull out there funds which I really doubt they are willing to do that now and since the price has already touched the bottom now, I expect many buy this period to sell. The high ratio of buy to sell will definitely keep BTC on the upward trend and not vice versa.
177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoins are on the up on: March 17, 2019, 05:39:24 PM
Keep your eye on Litecoins they are on the up again They are up over 183% in 2019 so far,  Its gone from $30 up to $61. Smiley
Yeah you're saying the truth and I already had a lot of it starched up in a wallet, lol. Litecoin has been doing pretty well and that was the same thing that happened in 2017, it was the choice for many investors as the price kept going up and yielding more profit. Seems like we are going to see the same thing happen this year again.

Not quite surprised though, litecoins have been more dumped in way more worst rather than other altcoins. People buying litecoins because there was a rumor on its block reward halving.
That is for you, but I'm very sure that a lot of people has been buying Litecoin more than these new coins in the market that some of you will usually go to invest your money on. I'd rather invest in LTC Than a new coin that will be heading to no where later on. You should try to follow up with Litecoin you will get know how good it is, and it's also among the oldest coins and is currently on the fourth spot on coinmarketcap list with a market cap of $3.77 billion.
178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be aware, so many scam coins are around on: March 16, 2019, 07:27:37 PM
We really need to be more patient and thorough in determining ICO project choices. Many ICO projects have difficulty finding funds. So they will fail and potentially commit fraud. Do research and fully understand the white paper.
There is need to establish a system where there will always be guaranteed that once an ICO fails, the investment will be returned at least 70% because I understand that some money must have gone into the project development before realizing that it’s a failed project.

Moreover, many ICOs needs to do their study very well to be sure that whatever project they are presenting to the public see the light of the day and not a baby project that will be of no use to the public.
179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 3.75% of Americans ready to invest in ICO? on: March 16, 2019, 06:13:08 PM
LendEDU survey:

25% of Americans know about ICOs

15% of them plan to make investment via ICOs!

15% of 25%= Around 3.75%

https://www.initialcoinlist.com/how-do-americans-feel-about-icos/
It is a good thing we have upcoming investors but this percentage is not enough to push the market really high because we also need to consider the percentage of major investor from that 3.75% and the market they intend entering, which ever market coin they decide to get involved with is the one that will really experience a good uprise in it price and I do hope it’s Bitcoin and not some other coins that will not make much impact on the market.
180  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Hodler, you motherfucker. on: March 16, 2019, 05:59:16 PM
Yes holding is waste so long times even a few years, alot of newbies investor was decide to hold crypto in the beginning of 2018 without any risk management, so they getting loss much money. So trading or holding should be with risk management.
Holding becomes waste of time only when one does not set his investment purpose right.  Most people that sees holding as waste of time are people that invested with the mind of reaping profit in a short period of time which the investor would have just opted in for market trading.

Holding is for investors that are very rich and can afford to overlook their investment for a very long period of time and yet still live comfortably in their world. Personally, I see any investment one expect to reap its profit in 2 years as an non-serious investment.
