161  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Some Crypto investor beginners are acting professional impacting wrong knowledge on: March 31, 2024, 09:56:46 PM
TBH if someone wants to promote something to you, and you know that the only just started, then it's your own responsibility to take everything they tell you with a grain of salt, since it should be obvious that someone who just started is not a good teacher themselves.

And I don't think many people are intentionally trying to get others into crypto as beginners. They probably talk about what they have been busy with to their friends, the friends get interested and ask more questions.
If you can’t work on your own success, then do not rely from other people to feed you some information that you aren’t sure if they can be helpful or not. Instead, learn to DYOR everytime you receive some promotions most especially if it’s made by some beginners. Be responsible and try to filter everything that you come to absorb. In the end, you learn to accept their insights but the final decision is yours if you will apply that to your investment or not.
162  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do you think merit is by chance or lengthy article? on: March 31, 2024, 08:58:41 PM
I don't know if it's just me but I think posts concerning merits have been raised frequently this week. Anyways back to the question. Merits are not rewarded based on  lengthy threads. If not , obviously if that was the case every single lengthy thread here on this forum would have a ton of merits. It is very possible to have a very lengthy garbage post however you could have a post of just 2 paragraphs carrying valid information. In fact I have discovered that most forum members prefer nicely summarized posts carrying pure info compared to a lengthy thread on same topic.

Merits depend on quality not length of the  post. Infact the more quality your post carries the more people would always want to venture reading it and thus merit it. Like I always say merits are magnets to quality posts the higher the impact of the thread the higher the chances of more merit.
Let’s just put it this way, the heavier the impact of your post content, the higher the merits you will received. But bear in mind that you are not posting to gain merits, but because you want to share crucial information that other members will most likely benefit. And by just being genuine in your post without the intention to gain merits, posting by giving satisfying answers to the questions, if you do it consistently, people will notice the authenticity of your post and merit your post along the way.
163  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin proven many times holders won't regret on: March 31, 2024, 08:18:56 PM

Surely Bitcoin is one of the most trusted coins cause the price recovers but one must wait for the right time to ensure that they will make a profit out of it. Some waited for years so one must invest only what amount they can afford to be stagnant for a while. Again cryptocurrency is volatile so there will always be a risk but bitcoin proven itself for years. Holders that wait for years truly won't regret investing.

Those will not regret who are a part of bitcoin holding from past or from the creation timing of bitcoin but newbies will be in fear after watching a dip in its price. One should continue the investment in bitcoin until his pocket remain full because spending money for useless wishes is not a good idea but investment in bitcoin can make you able to make money and make a better life.

Bitcoin is consider as risky by those who have lack of knowledge and they have no habit of saving and investment from an early age so they will face some difficulties at start but with the passage of time they will become able to earn lot of money from a volatile crypto market.
For those who have no knowledge about bitcoin, bitcoin is nothing but a big scam that’s why investing in it  brings high risk. However, for those who have great knowledge on bitcoin, despite of its high risk, hodling will certainly be worth the time and money. Simply because bitcoin’s value continue to appreciates in years. Thus, the longer you hold it, the higher probability to gain massive profits. Bitcoin has the biggest ROI these days, no wonder there’s a bunch of newbies continue to enter the market even without prior research and studies about bitcoin.
164  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are crash games profitable??? on: March 31, 2024, 01:25:52 PM

But as of today, there's 0 strategy involved in moneypot copycats. It's all just randomness and luck.

This is the truth that some may have a hard time understanding.

It's a game of luck because the house has the edge, it's not hard to analyze then our chances of winning as obviously in the long run it's the casino (house) which will be victorious. If we talk about being profitable, then it should not be a crash game, try sports betting or poker, I'm sure there are people who succeeded to be profitable on that type of gambling, so consider it as an inspiration to try to make your own journey too.
165  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: March 31, 2024, 12:53:52 PM
still stuck below 50% despite winning 2 out of 3.. guess we need to win more to hit that passing rate.

Boston -6...  (win)
After two losses the Hawks handed to them, they are now desperate to break that losing streak. Therefore, I'm expecting a big win here, a double digit is already ensure

Atlanta Hawks +3.5 (loss)
I think the momentum will continue, if they were able to beat the Celtics twice, for sure they can give the Bucks a tough game.

Magic -13. (win)
With 3 straight losses at home, they are not happy with that so they'll make sure they'll bounce back with a dominant win. I'm seeing 20+ win by the home team here.

Updated record 50(W)-50(L)..... 50%

2-1 again and I'm back to 50%.. not yet in the profit side but we will continue to try.

Early picks for the games later.

Nuggets -5.5..
2 straight losses at home, it will not happen again and I'm seeing this one a double digit win for the Nuggets despite Mitchell being back. last game he only scored 12 points from a poor shooting night, so I guess he is not 100% back yet.

Rockets +2.5
They are hosting the Dallas which is also in a winning streak, but I don't know, I just like the Rockets here to cover or even win.

Kings -12.5
After a disappointing performance against Dallas, I think they are again gonna have a blowout win against the Jazz who are currently at 8 losing streak. This team struggled on the road, so I would not be surprise if the Kings will win by 20 or more.
166  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin might reach $100k before halviing. What is your exit strategy? on: March 30, 2024, 08:59:40 PM
We are here for profits so let’s not waste that opportunity to take profits

I prefer to take my profits in Bitcoin, not some pathetic low-growth fiat currency.
Certainly my goal is. If bitcoin reaches $100k or above, clearly I won’t be hesitant selling some of my coins not just to reap profits but to take advantage while the opportunity to sell is still in front of me. Tomorrow might be another price already, and it could be that its price could drop suddenly so take time to sell while profits are still highly available.

Also, no one gets assurance of bitcoin price due to its high volatility, so sell when it’s time to sell and hold when you think there’s still bigger profit potentials waiting ahead.
167  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't do this mistakes in trading on: March 30, 2024, 08:36:13 PM
One of the biggest mistakes in trading is to open a trade without understanding and thinking of selling at a high price which is a decision without considering the range. Both the newbies and the old ones make a lot of mistakes in this field to increase the profit share and finally come out of trading with loss. If someone follows your advice, they will hopefully be able to play a more effective role in decision making.

         -     That is something that a novice in trading should not do. But no matter how many times someone says such reminders, there are still many stubborn people who enter trading.
That is their main reason for entering trading.

Because if you want to make money quickly in trading, that means you will also quickly hate this field of crypto space for sure, and you can even curse it because you have high expectations about the industry of crypto space.
Trading will never make you instantly rich, so you don’t have to jump into trading and think immediately about making profits. Majority of novice traders trade not because they want to learn trading, but because they want to satisfy their greed for profits, that’s why we’ve been seeing them trading even when the market is not suitable to trade. The reminder to trade only when you are ready and when the market only favors your trade is never new to us. But it seems it’s only easy to say but hard to do for novice trades.
168  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DCA: the power of little beginning on: March 30, 2024, 07:36:16 PM
Before now, I have underrated the DCA method just because I thought it was only meant for bitcoin. It was when I read a documentary about DCA as the most effective and stressed free way of being wealthy. I have had little/no respect for DCA but it is the most peaceable way to invest in bitcoin.

DCA is not necessary only for low income earners. It is also used by the wealthy and other experienced traders or investors when the market is not so certain.
You are right that anyone rich or poor investing a portion of his income every week or month in DCA can be the best decision. It can be a universal system that is evident in its management. Regularly depositing any amount based on your income can give you a lot of hope in the long run. If you for some reason went to zero bitcoins for one month but later you were able to replenish as much as you could. In this you can take your portfolio far stress free.
If you invest by adopting DCA strategy in volatile market, you can keep pace with the volatile market, and if you invest the rest of the money by calculating income and daily expenses, it works like savings. and the biggest advantage of DCA is that it minimizes the risk and reduces the investor's risk a lot. Professional investors understand market movements so they can invest large amounts in one go and profit, but DCA is definitely an important method for new investors.
The reason why DCA should not be underrated. It could make you rich in the process as long as you do it more consistently and patiently. Regardless of the condition of the market, never stop from doing DCA but always stick on the basic as always, invest only at an amount you can afford to lose. That way, bitcoin or altcoins, you are not just lessening the risk from losses, you are also increasing the chances to gain massive profits in the future and become eventually rich while focusing on DCA.
169  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Making too many picks reduces chances of winning. on: March 30, 2024, 02:23:03 PM
~snip~

I don't quite agree with your statement. Most likely, your experts did not take into account that if a gambler has a lot of summary time for analytics or is completely immersed in sports betting (a professional bettor), then the number of his bets, on the contrary, can positively affect the number of winnings. This can be compared to an investment. For example, you can invest money in only one asset, or you can invest in 5. With the right approach, investing in 5 assets can yield a more significant profit. The same thing happens in betting - one winning bet can cover the losses from two lost ones.

There's no problem if you think that way. However, there are gamblers that just love to make a lot of bets which they can't even study the bets they are making, the increase of bets is just due to excitement they'll like to achieve, but in reality, the chances of wining is just neglected.

You have more bets to make, you also have more time to spend, it should go together, otherwise, it will not work.
170  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: March 30, 2024, 01:36:32 PM

2-1. still in red overall. had a one day break, now let's proceed.

Cavaliers -10.5 (loss)
This like a rematch but this time at the homecourt of the Hornets. Still, it doesn't matter as I don't see the Hornets winning here or even covering the spread since they also struggle at home (9-24).

Rockets +6 (win)
Hottest team so far, they might even upset the OKC who played a back to back game, but I'll take the + points all day.

Warriors +5 (win)
If the Warriors will loss, hopefully they'll cover. I just like them because I know they'll play hard in a situation where every game is very important.

171  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies take bitcoin as long term Choice to get the best out of bitcoin on: March 29, 2024, 08:40:04 PM
They should remove that thinking because reaching to that point will also depend on what kind of effort they do and also the amount of capital they start with. What I am disappointed with most of the newbies is that they always complain about being too late in buying BTC and that's why they choose memecoins and other altcoins instead. That's the disadvantage they always point out but if they're serious with it, they will buy it without any complain and I agree that it should be for the long term. They won't feel the essence of holding Bitcoin in the short term when they have bought it also at the peak. But if they will plan out their purchases and DCA, they'd see the huge difference of it that they'd be happy that it is their choice instead of altcoins.
They often complain but when opportunities knock on their door, they become hesitant to take advantage on it because of their fears that their investment will end up as a scam. This kind of mindset is common for newbies. It’s just ironic to say that those who have less or no knowledge about bitcoin have definitely a lot to say while those who have been into bitcoin for quite long remain positive on it.

Bitcoin cannot make a person rich overnight, but hey if you work on it without showing signs of quitting but more on positivity, I always think that it will reap you good things in the long run, patience is the key.
172  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin to the common man. on: March 29, 2024, 07:46:23 PM
"common man", a common term for the average citizen.
"An average citizen", one who strives daily
To meet up in securing the basic necessities of life. Approached by Bitcoin , the common man sees hope!
Hope of a bright future.
Hope of achieving a longtime dream of primordial success.
Hope of all sorts and to all kinds of men
Bitcoin was like the bright light at the end ot the tunnel.
And it still is!

But with all the challenges faced by the average man, many have given up hope in this light(Bitcoin) .
Patience is one key factor to acquiring success through Bitcoin .

If only the common man would have to be patient, then a guarantee of life long success can be attainable.
Bitcoin never looks at who you are and what country you come from and what status you hold in life, because anyone can buy Bitcoin and anyone can achieve success through Bitcoin as long as we can be patient in saving it. And I think it is also very common for ordinary people not to be patient in holding Bitcoin because maybe they are not very familiar with Bitcoin so that person can easily give up Bitcoin when their patience starts to run out in waiting for success. So you don't need to think about those who are still laymen and don't believe in Bitcoin, because you also have a bright future through Bitcoin if you really believe in Bitcoin.
Bitcoin creates opportunities for all. Regardless of your life’s status or position, if you have faith and high hopes for bitcoin that it will make you financially successful, then certainly it will but of course, you should also do your part by taking the risk and trusting bitcoin with your funds. Otherwise, you are just like any individual who easily quit on bitcoin because you easily lose your hope when it comes to volatile investment.
173  Economy / Speculation / Re: are you expecting Bitcoin to hit $400,000 after the bull run. on: March 29, 2024, 01:26:29 AM
I do not expect that. This is a huge exaggeration. Yes, the market situation in this cycle is different from all previous cycles due to the approval of the ETF, but not to the point that the price reaches $400,000 in this cycle!!! This is a greatly exaggerated expectation.

Most forecasts believe that the price could be between 100-150K$ in most cases, and this is a logical number in my opinion, according to market data. As for 400K$, this is a number outside of expectations, although no one knows the future, but I think it is a very remote possibility in the current cycle.
I am also expecting more from bitcoin but not to the extent of expecting this huge amount of price. Note that bitcoin has been here long stuck with $70k price and yet, until now we have not even exceeded the amount or even seeing it reaching $80k. So I’m really not convinced that bitcoin would hit that far even after bull run comes.

However, targeting bitcoin to hit $100k-$150k is quite more logical to think. It would not be highly impossible for bitcoin, as it could come up with great surprises at some point. But reaching $400k has still never crossed my mind even after bitcoin halving or bitcoin bull run.
174  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best altcoin now? on: March 29, 2024, 12:53:42 AM
Having a focus on just altcoins makes one miss out on the general market movements. If you focus on the BEST altcoin, that means you will make yourself believe that there is just one, and there isn't a single one, there are many. I think the best thing to do in this case would be focusing on how you could probably make a lot more money if you diversified your portfolio, that way you will do a lot better.

I personally hope that the best thing we could do right now would be willingness to be open for possibilities. Go check the top 20, remove xrp, stables, and memes from the list, and invest equally to all of the alts there (and bitcoin should get majority) and you should be fine. I think that's the way I went and doing fine.
Investing in altcoins could somehow offer us significant profits as long as we invested in the right coins. However, the problem is it’s hard to find good altcoins when all these coins are claiming they’re all good and have high potentials to succeed. So DYOR is the key, and might as well diversify your portfolio so you won’t just focus on one altcoin.

While bitcoin should gain the highest allocation of our funds, I think we should also consider investing in altcoins but only the amount we can afford to lose. And as much as possible, invest in them while they’re low priced so we can make bigger amount of profits once we decide to sell them when bull run comes.
175  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: March 27, 2024, 11:28:03 AM
By the way, Warriors beat the Heat and now they are one game above to the Rockets. So the Rockets here has to continue winning and home that the Warriors will continue to struggle.

They are racing to be in the play-in while the Lakers won even without Lebron.

Warriors and Rockets are not far from each other, so I would not be surprise if the Rockets will make it. Both teams will have a game tomorrow, back to back for the Warriors while the Rockets are fresh facing a team that played back to back which is the OKC. Not sure if the Rockets will win but if the trend will continue, the edge should  be on them.
176  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: March 27, 2024, 10:00:27 AM
Okay, next stop..

Rockets -11.5. (WIN). And this roll should continue, Warriors loss to Minny, a win here will make the Rockets tie with the Warriors in wins but they are still at number 11..

Suns -12.5 (LOSS)
The win should continue as their ranking has improved, they need to keep at least at number 6 where they are sitting currently.

Dallas -8. (WON
Road game but Jazz had already given up, they are not winning games anymore because they are not interested, Dallas should get another blowout win.

Updated record 46(W)-48(L)..... 49%

177  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Beterbiev vs. Bivol - Undisputed Light Heavyweight Championship on: March 25, 2024, 01:48:43 PM
There's a lot of options after this fight. Alalshikh first said that if Beterbiev wins, he wants the Russian to move up in weight for a chance to become a 2 division world champion. Alalshikh wanted Beterbiev against cruiserweight lineal champion Jai Opetaia. But now there are more options like Benavidez and there's also the rematch clause which will be the priority if someone activates it.

I wonder why Alalshikh does not want to consider Canelo. Maybe because he is still under PBC promotions? So far it is only Wilder that fought in Saudi while Top Rank and Matchroom were already scheduling a lot of co-promotion fights there.

Canelo is demanding too much money, and not only Canelo, but Tank Davis as well and Oscar dela Hoya seems to be not on the list of Alalshikh. As far as I can remember this fighters criticized for having fights in the Saudi's and maybe it did struck on the mind of his Excellency and so it's obvious that for now he won't be having this fighters in his native country.

Yeah, it's open a lot of doors for David Benavidez, Bivol and Beterbiev. And it's good that finally Benavidez got the needed noise from Alalshikh himself and for sure he will make good money with or without Canelo Alvarez.

Saudi is like the new Vegas, big fights are happening there and fighters are getting good money from that fight. Sooner, these fighters that does not respect Alalshikh might come to him again and try to apologize just to get a big fight. Canelo and Tank maybe enjoying their popularity now, but once more fights will happen in Saudi, maybe these two will try to negotiate and lower their terms just to ride with the trend on where big money is coming from.

I guess it started with the heavyweight fights, it was successful and now they are seeing this venue and Alalshikh as the key to generate more money. After all, the boxing industry is more on money now, fighters cherry picking their opponents to remain undefeated but if the promoter itself would not allow, then it will not happen because these champions will be force to fight a decent challenger and their undefeated record is at risk, real-risk.
178  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: March 25, 2024, 12:46:32 PM
Crazy stats for Anthony Davis 36 points and 16 rebounds, he dominated the painted area and underneath the rim, that is where he got most of his points.

This is the kind of AD that we like to see in the playoffs, seems like they'll make it to the playoffs as they'll likely win the play-in in case they'll not hit the number 6 rank. It was a high scoring game, fast pace and the 3 point shooting is very accurate, 50% for Indiana while 48% for the Lakers.

We also have to notice Dinwiddie as he had some great game here, 26 points from 8-11 shooting is pretty much impressive.

Can't wait to see this team in the play-offs and I know it will happen so I'm backing them all their remaining games.
179  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: brazil sanctioned law that taxes online betting in the country on: March 25, 2024, 07:13:05 AM
In nutshell: bettors will have to pay 15% on the winnings received from any bets, regardless of whether the reward is small or large, and companies will have to pay 12% on revenue.
It's fucked up that people who gamble need to pay 15% if they won but casino companies only need to pay 12%. though casino revenue is big it still doesn't change the fact that they will still charge higher to their average citizen compare to the companies. it is quite sad.
Haha. Sounds very government to me.

To OP is the winning bet is automatically taxed on the gambling platform like deducted win receive by the gambler or individual gamblers will need to declare this winning on their internal revenue office? Because if this is not automatically taxed, then gamblers will just ignore it. There are many loopholes to avoid this actually especially if using a crypto-related casinos.

They make this rules, I'm sure they'll put some controls here to ensure that people will be paying. They need to get that 15% no matter what, but if they can't implement that well, it will only be useless. If they really want to ensure a collection of tax from the winning bettors, they should consider making the casino as a withholding tax agent, that means, in behalf of the winning bettors, they'll deduct that tax from their winning and they'll be the one who would report it to the government together with their tax due on a separate report.
180  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can we still truly achieve anonymous gambling in crypto? on: March 25, 2024, 06:42:47 AM
I will advise fellow gamblers to stop looking for decentralized casinos online, they should be ready to pass KYC on any online casinos they want to use and they must always go through the casino's Terms and conditions, some might restrict your location and some might frown using VPN, you don't want to find this out after breaking the rules.

It's also good to expect that an account will be frozen soon if we don't follow the KYC requirements. Some casino might implement it later on when we are already winning money, but it should not surprise us at all because we are well aware of that. Awareness is really the key, we use a centralized casino, expect KYC is a basic requirement, if they don't require as early then well and good,  but if they will in the future, we should not complain as if we are not aware

Personally, I'd choose a centralized casino that I'm allowed to play with KYC or would implement in the future rather than playing with a decentralize casino that its bankroll are limited because of lack of interest from the gambling community.
