Would you be so kind as to post a link to the large fans? TIA.

They're InWin 220mm case fans - i can't find a link online but these came out of InWin Track and Griffin cases

For the number of devices that is probably the worst cable hell I have seen.  You need some twist ties bad Tongue

Al fun and games until one of those cables gets snagged in a fan, yanks the whole setup to the floor, and they all get destroyed.

wow - quite the optimist Wink the two big fans are low rpm - you can stick your hand in the blades and it wont hurt Wink (done it a few times Tongue) plus all the cables near the fans are pulled away and cable tied up... it used to look like this:

I managed to get my Chili (Lucko batch) working that i'd been having issues with after flashing the bios to 1.0v - it will mine happily IF there is a fan plugged into the fan secondary fan header - as soon as its removed the miner will not mine or respond to anything - i still cannot reflash the miner back but atleast its mining!

I spoke to someone else and they think there could be an issue with an overcurrent and need an additional resistor required?

Any thoughts MrTeal or Lucko?

168  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Linux mining distro for the Raspberry PI - MinePeon on: June 10, 2014, 08:15:36 PM
whats the maximum hashrate a Raspberry Pi can handle? I'm running 8 Chilis (30GHash each) and the whole things feels quite sluggish - i am using a Raspberry Pi 256 Model B version. is it worth overclocking or adding additional cooling?

1V limited, to bring power use down to ~4J/GH

This is the one i used to reflash - it had the slow rise on it before - this is after i flashed it with this firmware...
Ah, I was talking about when you tried to flash it back to the slow rise and it didn't work.

Erm no - i've not seen the link for this firmware - ive been away this weekend due to rebuilding all my PCs and mining rigs racking. I'm going to try again with the chili tomorrow.

It sounds like it. Try reflashing it and see what happens.

It wont let me reflash - the unit locks up just after clicking program (1 and 2 leds flash on and then off as if in sequence) and its actually the 3rd led that stays lit - i've installed in on a fresh win7 machine and installed the drivers from the link above - any other suggestions?
Before you try flashing it, what does the screen show for the device information?

I have 5678 led just stay on, windows does not recognize it at all, I have installed the drivers etc but nothing. is there any fix?

I have this same issue with a chili that i just flashed with the 1v firmware - it was running the 'Slow Rise' firmware - i suspect this has confused the board somewhat - any ideas what i can do to sort this?

plugged it into a different machine - with a little bit of wiggling on the power cable the lights go out and its recognised in windows just as a USB serial port though? not as a Bitforce SHA like my others?

Tried to reprogram using the chiliflash app but it locks up just after clicking program with the second light lit. Any ideas? I plan on using all my breaks at work today to try and get this fixed Smiley (I have a copy of the slow rise firmware to reflash on it)

I'm using the FDTI/VCP drivers from here: http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP.htm

edit - its a timeout thing nothing to do with wiggling the cables  Tongue

I have checked with the fdti program app and it responds and bfgminer can even talk to it after a long time so I wonder if it could simply be a driver issue...

where are you based and do you have any base prices per unit?

I am in the Northwest, and I am open to all offers.

I'm guessing that's the Northwest in USA?
