161  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and the future of crypto 10 years from now. on: May 02, 2022, 03:09:40 PM
Bitcoin is the best coin in crypto and as the years passed by there are a lot of coins (altcoins) that is more profitable in terms of investment on both short and long term process, in you're future sights and speculation of btc based on some good promising projects that is now scattering and has a posibility to move to next level in the near future, Can there will be a coin that can manage to surpass btc 10 years from now?

I would love to see the coins that you are referring to.

While indeed short-term, there can be some coins in the top 20 that can overtake bitcoin in terms of profitability specially in a good alt bullrun, it cannot be as good as bitcoin in the long run because if you have been around in this industry for a while, you will see that the rankings change a lot and some coins that were pretty good and had good utilities have removed from the list. There are good shitcoins as well that can also over take bitcoin in terms of profitability but this takes a lot of luck(not worth it) or skill which can still pose some risks(risks depend on your skills and temperament towards your investments).

So, which coin is truly profitable and will there be any coin that would surpass bitcoin?

The way I see it, this depends on the type of investor you are; how much time you can dedicate in crypto investing, risk tolerance, knowledge, experience, emotional control and so much more. Because not every investor has the same capital, same mindset, same techniques, schedules etc. It would be much better to stop comparing and start searching for what routines and ways fits you best and gives you the maximum potential of profitability through trial and error.

As for surpassing bitcoin, I don't see it happening in the near future. Bitcoin right now is just too dominant in terms of popularity, ease of access and usage. I don't know though in the far future but in my lifetime, I think I will only see bitcoin as the one on top.
162  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: May 02, 2022, 02:48:13 PM
Lol, I actually thought that this was a fight that is already set to happen and had a specific date already. But seriously though, it would be pretty interesting to see how this fight goes. I personally think as well that there's no stopping this fight from happening anymore since a lot of boxing fans are already anticipating this bout. Matches happen depending on the money anyway so unless something bad happens again(which I hope will never happen), I believe this fight is already as good as set.
163  Economy / Gambling / Re: How to get Free games in china? on: May 02, 2022, 01:54:58 PM
Well the idea itself isn't really that bad if I were to give my own opinion about this. However, there will be trust issues with the admin that you have mentioned. But yes, this isn't a very heavy problem that cannot be solved. Just have to have a reputable enough existing gambling site to act as an admin so that trust issues can be minimized and gradually improve more in the positive side. This is something new and pretty interesting and may attract a lot of gamblers looking for new ways to have fun. I wonder if some gambling sites would really adopt such an idea.
164  Economy / Economics / Re: Binance blocks crypto accounts of relatives tied to the Russian government on: May 02, 2022, 03:42:36 AM
Are any of us still concerned about privacy and centralization?  Or does any of that apply only when a crypto exchange is fucking someone else over?  What happens when an exchange suddenly finds a reason to target you for whatever reason they make up on the spot?  No matter what your opinion is about Russia, those people who got blocked probably weren't involved in any of the political decision making in Putin's circle when the war started.  This doesn't help anything, and frankly I've lost a ton of respect for Binance and whatever trust I had in them as an exchange is gone.

The way I see it, only a few are left that truly cares about privacy. Specially now that mass adoption requires at least a bit of centralization.

And yes, I agree that what binance did is truly alarming. This just shows that binance has let go of it's last bit of consideration for the decentralization that this industry mainly stands for (other than fixing existing problems) in exchange of being able to freely operate and grow their business.

Although as a crypto holder and trader myself, I admit that I agree to compromise as well and disclose personal information just to be able make use of what I earn along with the profits I gain through trading since it is much easier to deposit when using fiat on centralized exchanges (specially on binance here in my country). Life is tough, it is  what it is. But that does not mean that I am willing to put up with all the crap an exchange does which can endanger my hard earned assets.

TBH, I right now am currently hopping from one exchange to another looking for the most crypto enthusiast friendly ones. Not that I am expecting much from centralized exchanges but at least a bit more reasonable approach and has some back bone to not make unreasonable bans or whatever unless the matter involves issues between the exchange itself and the user and not some outside variables like government conflicts etc.

See, if binance can do it to the relatives of Russian people, then it can certainly do it to me and the others as well. Only thing binance needs to do is make up an excuse and we can get ourselves banned right there and then.

I honestly do not use binance that much anymore. Except for depositing fiat or for trading alts that are not on other exchanges. although some of binance's features along with their earn sections were quite appealing to me back then, it is not that worth it in my eyes anymore after a few things that they did and also because of the fact that there currently are better offers on other exchanges nowadays.

If one day, another good crypto exchange becomes available here in my country that supports or has the features I need which binance currently has I'd definitely forget about the existence of binance.
165  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Can America end the war in Ukraine?? on: May 01, 2022, 05:28:48 PM
The American government really can, there are quite a lot of ways available to really end the war if they really wanted to. The thing is, anither variable that the American government has to consider are the sacrifices they have to make to end this war; whther it is worth all the trouble and will it benefit them in the future. Let's face it, these big countries have egos that are as big as their reputation and ranking. No one would compromise for a losing deal.
166  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Not all hacked on exchanges are real on: May 01, 2022, 04:14:55 PM
This conspiracy theory is quite plausible and may possibly be true in some cases. About other exchanges helping, well I guess every man for himself? I don't know. What's sure though is that when exchange hacks happen a lot of people get affected specially newbies because most of the newbies make exchanges as wallets and keep majority of their funds in those exchanges. Heck, if exchange addresses accept altcoins the way normal wallets custodial/noncustodial would, I bet they'd opt for an exchange rather than a safe wallet.
167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Doge Future after Elon Musk Buy Twitter ? on: May 01, 2022, 03:31:39 PM
Twitter is a private company already, and that’s why they are able to sold the company to Elon.
I don’t think they will require subscription on this platform, because many can’t afford it and of course many are still not familiar with cryptocurrency. I understand the hope but in reality, this is just a hype and most probably will never happen. DOGE is not owned by Elon as far as I know, Elon just made a tweet and people react on that its too risky for me.

Although it is private, there are still a couple of large share holders that needs to approve of this deal before it happens and Elon have won all of these people's agreement by his offers(including publicly known and the unknown to public). Which is I admit a great achievement.

It would be optional like having free access and a paid access with paid access having more benefits and features.

Yes, besides the fact that he does not own doge, he has never officially announced that he will utilize doge as a utility token for Twitter or whatever the hopeful people are wishing for. I feel sad for those who bought because of those wild rumors. Still though, I wish Elon does use doge so that at least people would be able to get some profits if they haven't sold yet.
168  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ATM Installed in Mexican Senate Building !!! on: May 01, 2022, 03:19:53 PM
What do I think about this news? After being tricked by the announcement of Do Kwon which might only be hype and the news about the Central African Republic's acceptance of bitcoin which might come only from sauces, I am beginning to notice something. There might be some whales out there who want to hype bitcoin out of desperation. This is what I think about this news. I am back to being the skeptical me. Call me the antagonizer again.

It's just right to be skeptical with all that's been going on nowadays. And I must say, what you are talking about somehow makes sense but I think it isn't the whales but instead the ones below the whales and the smaller ones. This is because whales don't care that much about short term prices and are probably buying as much as they can every dip. Only short term holders and the previously mentioned worry about these short term dips that are mostly high leverage traders worry about these short term dips. Although some do profit from scalping, nothing beats the gains when the market is bullish.
169  Economy / Economics / Re: Bill passed requiring drunk drivers to pay child support if they kill parents on: May 01, 2022, 02:33:35 PM
It is really sad to see people dyung because of the recklessness and carelessness of other people specially people who are breadwinners. Regardless of the reasons why a person got drunk in the first place, he  or she should never drive. And the people who accompanies these drunk drivers are equally responsible for not advising nor preventing these drunk drivers from driving while drunk. Good thing this law has been thought off. I wish this reduces the cases of drunk drivung related accidents.

171  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / SocialFi Discussion Thread(pinoy) on: April 29, 2022, 01:50:40 PM

Smiley

173  Economy / Economics / Binance blocks crypto accounts of relatives tied to the Russian government on: April 29, 2022, 01:21:48 PM
Yes, You read that right. Binance has taken their bans against Russian people up a notch. Which is quite clever on one side and on the other, quite unfair. Imagine being on a different country miles away from Russia but having relatives there and you suddenly see that your account has just been banned from binance. That'd be pretty infuriating.

I really can't decide myself whether this action is proper or not.

For people out there though that get to read this post and may get affected by this, I advise that you start taking precautions and transfer to a different exchange.

Anyway, what do you guys think about this?

174  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where does your country stand ? on: April 27, 2022, 10:07:49 AM
There definitely are quite a few countries that I did not expect to show up in such a list. You really cannot judge a country based on just a few things you know about them. And yup, as expected my country is nowhere to be found on the list. I gotta say though, Singapore is quite amazing.
175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / SocialFi Discussion Thread on: April 27, 2022, 09:48:27 AM
Edit: It seems like people here aren't that interested about SocialFi just yet..

Seeing the emergence of dozens of Crypto related social media sites, I want to see how the majority of the people here thinks about it. I mean, where else can you get the best opinions in this industry than here where most of the crypto veterans are?

Sooner or later this topic will get talked about anyway so why not just start it now right? Besides, it just makes sense to question how blockchain and the emergence of web3 will disrupt social media networks in the near future and the challenges it will face since Social media has already become a big part of our lives already specially the younger generation.

And so, I am creating this thread having the sole purpose of talking about Socialfi and other social media sites that are slowly integrating crypto into their platforms, earning opportunities, effects, some personal experiences and more!
(Not gonna be very strict about this I only request everyone to please stay on the subject at least)

-I won't be starting this thread with explaining what SocialFi is though, since it is easily searchable. But still, for your convenience I'll be placing a link below that explains a bit about SocialFi.

I want to start with a hot topic like this one: "SocMeds(SocialFi) in crypto space vs SocMeds outside crypto space."

Nowadays, I've been seeing lots of social media sites that are related to cryptos popping out one after another which are composed of bad, good and great interfaces and functions. Most of these sites offers a lot of benefits to its users. Be it in terms of data ownership, earning tokens(altcoins) while socializing, built in NFT market place where you can create, promote and sell your NFTs or whatever.

Now with all of these new social media sites, with awesome new features you just have to ask yourself; - Why is it that people still refuse to leave instagram, twitter etc.? It really made me wonder and so I tried putting myself into their shoes(though it didn't fit that well 🤣) and tried to look at things in their perspective.

This is what I realized:

- They have dozens of contents already which took hours of work; blood, sweat and tears(on some content creators, literally). Which can be reuploaded but would have low chances of gaining as much traffic(views or reactions) as it did on where it was originally posted on.

- A well established fame and reputation on their respective handles(it would be a nightmare to start from zero again specially for the mediocre content creators).

- Lack of audience or content creators having the same interests in crypto related socmeds.

- They've gotten so used and comfortable on the platform they're in(not all but mostly)

- Most of the features they like in the platform they're in are nonexistent on the new ones or doesn't work in the same way making them uncomfortable.

- Lack of understanding of web 3 or crypto as a whole which isn't really that much of a problem since it is easily solved with research(The thing about this though is not every content creator or viewer has enough interest in this industry or enough time to actually spend hours in researching about how things work in this space).

- Lack of crypto mass adoption or fame(let's face it, we don't even have that much people who are a hundred percent active in this space yet. Good news though is that the numbers are gradually increasing).

These seven predicaments I have mentioned are probably the main reasons why these content creators and viewers refuse to transfer into new social media sites that are related to crypto currencies(SocialFi).

It doesn't get talked about much but this makes most developers that push for crypto related Socmeds to lose self-esteem and become less motivated for improvement despite having a well made platform. Which then leads to poor management and platform development. This then becomes another reason for hesitation of new users to migrate.

Now as for solutions, there aren't really much that I can think of that doesn't need mass adoption of crypto currency. And I reckon that most of the solutions that can be thought of out there have already been tried out at least once.

But still, doesn't this very fact make you more eager to find better solutions?

As for me, I think it would be nice to highlight or focus on the importance of contents/thoughts that makes way for groups of like-minded people with shared interests to interact and socialize, rather than focusing on complicated new features that most of the people unfamiliar with them may not and may find pretty tedious to understand. Besides, it's not like these new features can't be added/introduced gradually as mass adoption and community population and interest increases.

The main goal is to not bombard the new users with all these awesome new features that puzzles them to an extent that it makes them incapable to utilize and socialize comfortably with the community.

I get it, web3 is awesome and all but, what is awesomeness if the traffic you're after can't appreciate and utilize it at all? This just spells disaster.

This is just my opinion though so please don't hate.

How about you guys, what do you think?
let's get this conversation going, come share your thoughts or some of the solutions you can think of!

176  Other / Off-topic / Re: Dear reader, on: April 27, 2022, 05:27:57 AM
I like the intent of this message, but I do like to refine messages as well as myself, and that tendency guides me towards a flaw in the logic of this message. If getting beaten up is how we are refined, then why would beating myself up slow me down? Of course, when you focus on the intent, the message is clear, but it looks like this message is not quite a masterpiece yet.

If I were to take a crack at it, I'd go for the extended metaphor, and talk about annealing, cooling, dousing and setting temper in metal. did you know that in some forge techniques, there are periods were you literally let the metal sit, or "rest"?

Wow, thank you so much for the insight. I didn't know a lot about forging and so just had to make do with what I already know.

- Although, my main message is to not overdo things since too much of anything never results to anything good. And besides, you already have life beating the living crap out of you, the energy spent on beating yourself up should be saved instead for the moments that you decide to stand up and try continuing the journey again. Hence the last words; persevere smartly not mindlessly.

Anyway, I have learnt something new again and I am very thankful for your insight. What you have suggested is of great value and would really make sense to use. I really wish I knew about this before I wrote that message, I will keep it in mind though as I write more in the future.

I hope you'd have a great day.
177  Other / Off-topic / Dear reader, on: April 26, 2022, 04:22:47 AM
know that there are times in our lives that requires us to rest and take a step back on everything occupying our time.

If such moments come into your life, do not forcefully reject it. Instead, embrace it. One rest won't kill the whole journey.

It's just that sometimes, we need the space and time to meditate on things going on in our lives and within our heads; to sort things out.

If you've been trying and trying yet you're still stuck and are tired, rest. You owe that to yourself.

Sometimes failing dozens of times is a way for the universe to tell you to re-evaluate and look at the space beyond what's outside of the box or to simply just toughen you up.

I remember reading somewhere about how steel gets beat up dozens of times and in many ways depending on the material just to see what works best in getting rid of its impurities making way for a masterpiece to be born.

That's basically life beating the crap out of us a lot in a variety of ways to turn us into the best we can be; a masterpiece.

So stop beating yourself up even more than how life does. You'll just end up delaying your journey on top of making things more difficult for yourself.

Brother, do yourself a favor, take the time to rest and regroup if you need it.

- Life is brutal, persevere smartly not mindlessly.
178  Economy / Gambling / Re: The most rewarding referral system on: April 25, 2022, 01:35:53 PM
Why not all? I mean you can sign up on all casinos which have referral program (almost all) and then spread your referral links on your telegram channel, so you'll have advantages of the referral bonus on all casinos. Usually a new casinos do have interesting referral program since they don't have many players on their sites, probably you can check crashino, 1win, moonbet etc, but beware of the risk of new casinos.

I was going to say this. If the OP has some Telegram channels, it is not a question of putting a link to a casino and that's it. The normal thing is that you go signing up to different casinos and sharing links. It doesn't make sense to share only the one with the most rewards because maybe one with less % is liked more by the members of his channel, who sign up and bet more, and the result in net profits is much higher.

Another thing we can consider as well is that maybe the op himself wants to be hands on with his telegram community like giving tutorials and all which would make it much easier for him if he is only getting referral link from a single gambling website. I mean, it would be a great strategy if he offers walkthroughs to beginners in his telegram. That is, if his subscribers or target subscribers are beginners in online gambling.

Finally the match began. It brought lots of excitement to the boxing fan. Now finally up card is over. But GGG did not cease to impress me, I was betting on GGG as well. What a strength  at this age Keep Rocking!

Reading about this fight triggers my sad vibes. I lost quite a huge bet to a friend in this fight. Although it isn't really a loss since we used the bet to fund a trip to a nearby beach with a few more friends, the bragging rights is what really ticks me off. And almost every time, my damn friend never fails to remind me of his superior prediction skills and brag about it. Saying we should do this often since summer is about to come. Bloody bastard, lol.
