1601  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul v Anderson Silva [rumours] on: September 05, 2022, 06:26:13 AM
I think it's more of a name basis knowing that the name Anderson Silva is really a legend. His name is really going to attract watchers and of course, the gambling side, and it would really be an entertaining fight because that's going to be a great fight even if it's boxing vs MMA. I do hope that they manage to do this. It's just like McGregor and Mayweather. Money money money  Shocked
1602  Economy / Reputation / Re: Does He evade Ban? Is It Sufficient Proof? on: September 05, 2022, 01:32:56 AM
That address belongs to a wallet from coins.ph - Philippine crypto exchange. So he sends coins every week to exchange for cash.
I understand that concept, but does coins.ph only give out one address for many individual members to use?  If that is indeed the case, then there's no merit to OP's suspicion.
I do not think so. According to WalletExplorer, there are over 2.7 million addresses with at least one transaction on that wallet: Wallet [00000dd86b] addresses
I think we can safely assume that every user of the coins.ph exchange has their own unique deposit address. And, from what I understand, coins.ph is a very popular exchange there because it allows users to link their bank accounts so that all crypto deposits are automatically converted to local currency without any additional fees. Perhaps someone from the Filipino community can confirm this?
I can confirm that you will get your unique address for your account personally. You can see the highlighted part in their support thread that says

Note that you have a unique wallet address for the following cryptocurrencies: BTC, ETH, BCH, and XRP
Each account has a personal account and a unique address for each user. Applicable as well to the coins mentioned above.
1603  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What I've learned after 3 years building an algo trading bot on: September 03, 2022, 02:18:18 PM
It must have been a great ride because coding something like that would be quite hard. And as you mentioned, "state of the art code" would be a fantastic feat because you can sell it, and if there's something special to it, it can bring you even more money. With all the things you've learned, I think most people would have different views, and there would even be more diversity in beliefs, so DYOR is one of the essential things you have covered, IMO.
1604  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you play online/offline without your wife or family knowing it? on: September 02, 2022, 06:13:28 AM
To be honest, that's not going to end well. Hiding something from your family, especially your partner, would be a hassle. First of all, you are not honest about what you are doing. That shows that you're afraid of something you know your partner would be angry about. There must be a reason she would react that way, so that's lying already.

Maybe there's an underlying past factor that you have done to why she suspects you or something. It's still best, to be honest about what you are doing and be thorough on why you are doing it; maybe she'll understand.

When it comes to hiding, it's best to do it online, I think, but I still don't recommend hiding it; it just means you have a problem.
1605  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Going 3x this month for swing trading worth it? on: September 02, 2022, 01:38:12 AM
The futures market is scary in terms of having no practice with money management. It's really hectic to manage if you cannot monitor it or verify the things needed to do when trading, like setting up different parameters.
  • What trade would it be? - market or limit
  • Trading Limit - amount of balance per trade
  • Stop Limit - price in which you want to sell
  • Leverage - for margin/futures trading

You would do many things, but the trick here is knowing how to handle it and accepting losses in the long run. It shouldn't always go to be unlimited, you have to take losses with losing trades, but the decision to see if that's only for the short term or not is hard. Determining if you will hold on or not is the challenge, so you should be firm about it.

Look at the charts, if the resistance at $21514 is broken, it could go upwards.
If the candles break the $19132 support, it's definitely going to go lower.

A lot could happen. It's the decision to see the bigger picture that is the challenge.
1606  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Monthly Chart Closes Tomorrow. It’s UGLY on: September 01, 2022, 02:40:55 AM
There are times I really wish I would have some sort of plans for BTC decline, think objectively, when I see the way I've just held all the way (liquidating when I need, rather than when I think it's going to fall), I feel like I missed a lot of opportunities.
I think that's the downside of just HODL-ing and you are not going to do anything about it. You can't maximize all the opportunities given by the market.

Then again, once new ATH is reached -- be it next year or in 2 or 3 years -- all that regret's wiped away.
That's true for sure but still it can be maximized but the problem there is the timing of the market is just really hard and unpredictable.

Yeah, I think the best plan is to do nothing, just simply HODL, don't liquidate anything and accumulate.
That's the safest way that you could do it because you won't be risking anything other than the amount you are investing in. It's up to you if you are going to be affected by the fluctuation of the market.
1607  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Monthly Chart Closes Tomorrow. It’s UGLY on: August 31, 2022, 09:14:25 AM
Better be careful with what could happen if that's what you think. I think it's still best that you have plans in case whether
  • BTC would rise in price
  • BTC would decline in price

So if it's the first one, you need to have BTC stored in your wallet. It's better that it's your wallet.
For the second one, you need to have converted your BTC so you could profit as much as you could.

For me, I'm just going to keep BTC stored because I would want to HODL it more and more as time goes by because that's what I believe in.
1608  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Keep or sell ethereum before the merge? on: August 31, 2022, 08:34:05 AM
There are only two ways to think about it
  • It will either go up
  • Or go down

There would be people that would buy the rumor and sell the news. Imagine, it's either you are going to make money or not. It's going to be the factor every time that you are going to look for investments. Let's say that you will be making the right decision with this.

So I think it's best to look forward to what you want. Do you want ETH in the long term or profit in the short time?
1609  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to Overcome a Bear Market in Cryptocurrency on: August 30, 2022, 07:58:21 AM
If you consider long term goals in crypto market, then never be bothered at all when the market falls into bearish condition. You can experience dropping of your portfolio value while seeing the market in a bloody condition, but everything is temporary so expect that the prices will never remain low all the time. And always think that the bear market is  another opportunity to invest, so instead of worrying, learn to overcome the bear market by accumulating potential coins that will hit huge prices in the future. That way, your worries will turn into motivations.
It's going to be problematic to think about it too much because it's not gonna help at all. You are going to be worried about how much you are going to lose instead of focusing on accumulating more. I think that's the part where people make mistakes because they choose to think about the short-term rather than the long-term aspect of their investment. It's all about the mindset for sure.

It's just domination by Red Bull says, Sainz

https://www.motorsport.com/f1/news/sainz-red-bull-in-a-league-of-their-own-in-f1-belgian-gp/10359686/

At one point Max had mediums and was still faster than Charles who was on softs. That should be telling you the difference. I am finally glad that we do not have Mercedes domination, it is always boring to have one team to keep on winning every year, and finish the races 30+ seconds ahead of everyone, that is not good for the sport. But right now, we moved from Mercedes domination to Red Bull domination and this wasn't what I wanted neither.
They just figured out how to win every time. Having a phenomenal driver is one thing and having big funds would always be a factor as well. That's just how F1 works, really.

I just want a period where 4-5 teams and 6-7 different drivers at least have wins, and 3 drivers are racing for a title very close to each other all from different teams, number 1 drivers of 3 different teams. Is that so much to ask, will we ever see that?
That's just how it's going to be when you are dominating. I think it's not a problem at all that there is domination. Look at other sports, there are always going to be teams that are going to be in favor to always win in matchups. It's always going to be like that. If you have found a formula to winning, don't you think it's going to be hammered continuously to win? That's the goal of every team.
1611  Economy / Economics / Re: Idea if you struggle in your life but u speak english on: August 29, 2022, 03:45:54 PM
Speaking English wouldn't just be a magical thing for you. That's not going to be accessible as that, and it's not going to be already credible for banks to loan you some money with just knowing English unless you are scamming them and letting them know that you are of a wealthy family from somewhere or something. Like the Anna Sorokin thing.
1612  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can One Actually Do Crypto Trading As A Living? on: August 29, 2022, 11:59:08 AM
There are a lot of traders that are focused on trading and gaining profits with cryptocurrencies. I know that there are a lot of people who are handling different portfolios and different markets. Some skills can be transferred with varying trading needs, so it's not always going to be fully on cryptocurrency. Sometimes you should have multiple different incomes.

It's not just in trading that you could earn; you could also with bounties and other methods that you can do like Buy and Sell, etc. It's a vast thing, the world of cryptocurrency, and you must know where you would go.
1613  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who are your favorite dealers ? on: August 28, 2022, 07:07:18 AM
I don't care much about the dealer when I'm playing online because it's not the purpose why I went playing on it. It's going to be me, the game, and the dealer is just part of it. I don't care whether they are entertaining or not; it's just going to be a thing that would just be something that would cross your playing.

Most of the time, I'm multitasking when gambling, so I don't really care about what the dealer is talking about.

I recently played Monopoly online, which has a dealer or the host that spins the wheel, so it's okay with me. The graphics are OK, and it's somewhat entertaining.
1614  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: F1 Formula Sports Racing - Sportsbet.io promotions & discussion thread on: August 27, 2022, 11:58:33 PM
Therefore, we have quotes that are very different from quotes in previous races, but at the same time, Verstappen, starting from 14th place, is still a favorite even in relation to Sainz, who will start first. It seems absurd to me, despite the fact that Verstappen won the qualification by a wide margin from everyone else.
Checking the gap between Sainz and Verstappen is quite close but still big in terms of F1 races. A 0.632 gap form him is large. Imagine being to be consistent on those laps. Verstappen can really manage to get back in the top spots in no time. The recent race even him starting in 10th position and still winning is quite a feat as well.

Check this out, Russel says that Verstappen can win this sunday.
https://www.motorsport.com/f1/news/russell-verstappen-comfortably-win-belgian-gp-15th/10359109/

So I think Sainz's 3.10 odd is tempting to place a bet. Maybe even Hamilton could be given a chance at 13.00 but it seems really hard for him. Mercedes drivers weren't too impressive in qualifying session. However technically Hamilton is more advantageous than even Verstappen for now as he is starting at upper positions.  Grin
The odds are really attractive on this one. It's just that Mercedes are having a hard time figuring out the problem. Imagine them being 7th and 8th fastest on the qualifying and made it to the front just because of the penalties, it's quite unsettling though. +1.838 seconds is a really big gap.
1615  Economy / Economics / Re: More Americans Than Ever Can’t Afford to Pay Their Electric Bill on: August 27, 2022, 01:23:10 PM
The energy problem is not just in America but all over the world. I think it's still best to consider not to replace fossil fuel immediately but to ease in or transition towards alternatives with any renewable energy resources. There needs to be this transition that would make it easily accessible by everyone and make things like electric bills not too much of a problem.

This needs to be addressed by the government to make everyone see that there is an energy crisis, especially with what's happening with the nation's fighting and logistics problems. The world should make a better place to accommodate everyone.
1616  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to Overcome a Bear Market in Cryptocurrency on: August 27, 2022, 07:55:00 AM
There's no other thing to do right now other than accumulating.
That's just the thing with accumulation, you just do it consistently. The important thing is you are still taking care of yourself and you are making sure that you're lifestyle is what you want and believe that it's going to be better.

Bitcoin's price plummeted again and it's seen on $20k. When it was on $23k-$24k, people have thought that they should have bought when it's lower.
It's the problem with us humans, the emotion that we have when we see that red on the price and the percentage next to it, it's negative. It's basically going to be a roller coaster if you were to use or make decisions with your emotions. It's best to be smart and head in the right direction straight ahead.
1617  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to Overcome a Bear Market in Cryptocurrency on: August 27, 2022, 05:22:45 AM
It's everybody's long game, for sure. The critical part of having to HODL is that you should consider everything to ensure that you are doing the right thing with everyone. Like how you can mentally overcome the disastrous thing that could happen if you think about your portfolio too much. It will take a toll on you, and that's not a good thing for sure.

Just believe that you want something in the long run that you want to profit from but for now, just accumulate.
1618  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: F1 Formula Sports Racing - Sportsbet.io promotions & discussion thread on: August 26, 2022, 03:52:02 AM
This is history. Imagining what would have been happening if this or that would have been different is counterproductive.
I'm just imagining what he could've been but that's history and it's best to look forward now.

The new car (for the 2022 new rules) did behave much worse (compared to the rest) than the previous (2021) generation, so that's correct.
It was also bad luck for Ricci because (from my understanding) each car behaves different, has different balance and so on; Ricci had to adapt to the new McLaren when he left Renault, then he had to adapt again to the completely new McLaren in 2022. He didn't.
I remember that he had a hard time on Renault as well and it just hasn't been well since then. It's probably adjustment after adjustment. I know that there are certain rules always getting updated by the FIA which makes it harder for drivers as well.

Haas and Williams are just not competitive enough. Alfa Romeo has an experienced driver and one that brings big bucks, I don't think that anything will change there. Alpine is in turmoil and since I expect Ricci is disappointed and may not be searching too hard, they could both intersect for a "let's give each other another chance".
It's still all about the money that you can throw at the design and other essential parts in the car. They are still not there yet. I guess Ricciardo can just wait for a great opportunity. He still hasn't decided upon checking recent news.

1619  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Curious Question About Making First or Second Page on a Thread on: August 25, 2022, 04:07:25 PM
That's probably how they post and makes them effective posters as well because there would be no repetitive responses on the OP. It should be like that every time, but that's not possible every time if you aren't able to check the pages to which you can contribute. It is normal if you aren't posting for posts only. It should be quality and not repetitive, and then it's okay.
1620  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Currency acceptance Everywhere on: August 25, 2022, 03:04:19 PM
At least those vendors on the street can have that kind of technology. I don't think the people here in my country would easily accept Bitcoin because they wouldn't understand what to do with it and probably reject its innovation and how it could help them in the long run. They would prefer the fiat way where paper money is king and probably not digital.

Nevertheless, I hope it will increase adoption in other countries, and everyone will follow suit. I do hope that happens.
