1621  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Open] Hosted Antminer Groupbuy Round 2 on: March 08, 2014, 01:48:42 AM
This device will never pay off.

It costs 1.11 atm, and it will mine 0.98 in three months (estimated). Then it is obsolete (power costs higher than revenue).
I never said it would, but people are paying 3.6 BTC for the same amount of hashpower today over at Cex.  I'm trying to provide a cheaper cloudhashing alternative for people.  It's up to you to decide if you want to buy in.  I'm working on getting my prices a little bit lower, though.

Round 2 of the groupbuy has started: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=505960.msg5575760#msg5575760

Also, today is one week from the initial hosting period being over.  Please PM me or post here if you want to keep going or have your BTC refunded Smiley

The Antminer gb with Miaviator is taking too long for my taste, so taking things into my own hands for now.  I have 70 shares up for sale now.  Hosting terms are the same, but Ants have a $.20 per kwh fee, vs the GPUs at .0925.  This is because they use a lot less power, so the fee needs to be higher to be able to pay for repair and whatnot.  The 20% upgrade/repair/downtime fee has been taken out, although you are welcome to have me set aside part of your payment to go towards the ASICs though Wink  Already purchased shares are unaffected.  Shares are .022 each, coins can be sent to 1GoSU2EJhyCLFuNoUmvGSZrdU158f3XdWF.

Groupbuy: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=505960.msg5575760#msg5575760

Also, I need votes on if we should keep the ant we have now for the rest of the 60 days, or stop it and refund the unpaid half of it, per the groupbuy terms.  I need votes in by the 14th.
1624  Bitcoin / Group buys / [Sold] Hosted Antminer Groupbuy .007435 per gh/s! ***PRICE PROTECTION*** on: March 07, 2014, 08:46:40 PM
**There are people impersonating me on Skype, please always ask for a signed PM on the forum before sending anything**

Miners will be divided into 200 shares, each one costing .00745.  Setup fee is included in the share cost.  Hosting will cost $0.20 per kwh, no other fees besides that.  100% uptime is guarenteed, downtime is paid out of pocket.  At any time the device may be sold, if the majority of the shareholders for it vote to.  Mining will be done at Bitparking, all altcoins mined will go to me to keep hosting costs low.

This will be ordered directly from Bitmain as soon as all slots are filled, the amount of BTC the price goes down between now and when it's ordered will be refunded to customers.  Shares may be transferred at any time by sending me a message with the new owner's username, signed by the current payout wallet or your PGP key.

Cex is trading at .02 each, down .004 in the past week.  Assuming that's how long it takes it to get here and set it up, this is a good bit cheaper Wink

Shares may be purchased by sending BTC to 1GoSU2EJhyCLFuNoUmvGSZrdU158f3XdWF.  Offering hosting of 2 devices to start with, will go from there if it works out good Smiley

Miner is up and running!  12LJebC7Qgb2NKrHS3vPM8gViQmWndH96V on Middlecoin (alongside my GPUs) Smiley
I'll be making a spreadsheet with all the info later tonight when I have some time

great! Still waiting for mine to be delivered Smiley

Setup straight forward?
Miaviator is the one that's actually got it, so can't say much about setup.  He wrote a massive guide on how to get it working here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=494625.new;topicseen#new

Hosted Ant group buy will be happening tomorrow, reserving shares in the same format as last time.  Up to 200 shares may be up for sale.  Same terms as the OP, but electricity fee is $.25 per kwh at my location, 20% is optional and all goes to ASICs (amount can be changed too).  Price is yet to be determined, probably going to be in a BIN format.
1635  Economy / Securities / Re: [Pon3 Mining] Scrypt/BTC Hybrid Year Long Mining Operation IPO on: February 28, 2014, 01:07:00 AM
Good news, more shares to come in the next few days hopefully.  Talking to Miaviator about getting another Antminer groupbuy together in the next few days.  The price drop between bid time and the time the miner is ordered will be refunded under the terms I have proposed to him.  The only data center within 20 miles is bullshit expensive, so I'll be hosting these myself.  That also means I can fix them quicker, so guess it's for the better.  I'll put the saved $ from hosting fees into upgraded wiring and cooling, as well as better power supplies.  Nothing is official as of the moment, but keep an eye out for the morning Wink
1636  Economy / Securities / Re: [Pon3 Mining] Scrypt/BTC Hybrid Year Long Mining Operation IPO on: February 28, 2014, 12:35:52 AM
I agree with Mr. Albon, saving on transaction fees would be nice.
It's only a dime or two a week, I pay the tx fee out of my pocket.  That's why I do it all in a combined payment for both you and the groupbuy Tongue
I'll consider cutting back if the exchange rate goes much higher, but it isn't that much for now.  Even if I did take it out of the shares, the difference would be a fraction of a cent a week.
1637  Economy / Securities / Re: Is LEANCY legit? on: February 27, 2014, 09:22:19 PM
I believe your referring to a ponzi scheme, in which case im assuming that LEANCY is something i should not invest in? IF so, could you point me to some good securities i could invest in? Im looking at the bitcoin difficulty deriatvie fund and peta mine, but no little about how this market works and would like some pointers. Thanks!
Stay away from LEANCY, they'll take all the money and run once they have enough.  BDD and Petamine are both good investments, the first for if you think the difficulty will skyrocket, the second if you think it will stay low enough to make a profit Smiley

10/10 a Ponzi
1639  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: 5 Chip Gridseed Hosted Scrypt Miner Groupbuy on: February 27, 2014, 06:51:12 PM
Just talked to Miaviator, turns out there was a small misunderstanding with how this would go.  There is only one Gridseed up for purchase (for testing) before we open up bulk groupbuys, and this will be hosted at his location in a similar manner to the Antminer buy that I did.  I won't be doing the hosting until we are able to test out the gridseed and start doing bulk orders.  As such, the gb for this device is sold out.  The only difference for you guys is having it up and running faster Smiley

I will be reopening this as soon as we test out the miner for bulk buying, don't worry if you didn't get a chance to get in.  If for some reason Miaviator hosting it is a dealbreaker, PM me and I'll be glad to refund your BTC.

Also due to the small misunderstanding, I sold 110 shares.  The extra 10 will have their dividends paid out of pocket, as ordering another would take a while, and I'd end up paying a lot out of pocket anyway for the time inbetween.

I noticed I'm not showing as owning and scrypt kh/s in your google docs...
The Scrypt in the doc only applies to Pon3 Mining, not this groupbuy.  I'll make another one just for this once we have everything up and running.

When do they start mining?
Within a day of arrival, estimated ship date is March 1st
