1541  Economy / Economics / Re: Ukraine good or bad for BTC? on: March 18, 2014, 01:46:21 AM
Ukraine is headed for a disaster of biblical proportions.

Old Testament; real wrath of God type stuff.

Fire and brimstone coming down from the skies! Rivers and seas boiling!

Forty years of darkness! Earthquakes, volcanoes...

The dead rising from the grave!

Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together... mass hysteria!

This will however have no effect on Bitcoin whatsoever.

My $.02.

Wink
Quick, somebody get a camera and get over there!  The only chance to make another 2012 movie without paying for special effects Cheesy

Thanks for the heads up, PLEASE only use addresses posted directly by me.  If you're not sure, don't send anything before shooting me a PM.  Better safe than sorry Smiley

Edit: For safety purposes, from now on all payment addresses will be signed by the PGP key in my signature.  If it's not signed, don't send Wink

Ant has been shipped Cool
ETA is Wednesday: http://puu.sh/7z1Nm.png
Also, by looking at the date, it would appear that our miner has time traveled
1546  Economy / Securities / Re: [Pon3 Mining] Scrypt/BTC Hybrid Year Long Mining Operation IPO on: March 17, 2014, 06:42:11 AM
Finished it up, will be adding more detailed figures from now on, really didn't feel like going back and recalculating things that were already paid out

Also, in my half zombified state last night I typed .04 instead of .05 total earned from the 20%, but the .033 figure was right after replacing the cord (Damn Best Buy is expensive..)

Oh, and as for links to the mining, I'm trying to figure out a way to do something with the BTCGuild API for that.  For Scrypt, you can look at http://middlecoin.info/flotchart.php?BTC=1QBxTsfzSvPoHh7vstG5QKTjAEaMRbwkau

Edit: You can get https://github.com/apeape/BTCGuild-Stats-Gadget and put it in to see the stats Smiley

This is almost as bad a scam attempt as this guy
1548  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Raspberry Pi Poolserver on: March 16, 2014, 09:07:38 PM
I'd expect a lot of stales. The Pi is a GREAT little device, but I doubt it has enough oomph to handle everything a pool server needs.

For example, bitcoind is going to have to be running in the background staying up to date. The memory requirements alone are kinda pushing it for the Pi, but you're probably good... but, then comes the disk access for syncing the blockchain. The SD card isn't going to take too kindly to that, plus the CPU is going to by busy verifying need blocks and any incoming shares.

All this, BEFORE even adding a pool server.

It'd be cool to try, and would for sure LOVE to hear how it goes, but I (personally) wouldn't give it high odds of working out well.
+1, if you want to run your own pool you'd probably be better off getting something like this and throwing Linux on it.
1549  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Nearly burned down my home due to mining equipment failure :( on: March 16, 2014, 07:01:11 PM
only have a pic of the sucre of the fire.
Everything else in in the bin and could save some stuff one cube 6 blade out of different machines if anyone wants them pm me!!
The pic of the asic cube that started the fire i think:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/vb5ck6dovusesmp/2014-03-16%2010.35.21.jpg

As you can see on the pic the fire was caused by the asic cube shorting the wires and they overheated and started the fire!
Sorry for not taking more pics.

Damn, that's a miner's worst nightmare...  Sorry to hear about your loss Sad
1550  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] On-Ear Sennheiser Momentum Headphones on: March 16, 2014, 06:48:39 PM
OH i missed the deal, anyways just a question its quite off topic but iam actually planing to buy Sennheiser over the beats iam using. so is Sennheiser the best Huh
Sennheiser is up there with the best of the best, no competition between them and Beats of the same price.  You're paying for the name with them Wink
1551  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 Sales open] Price changes daily, now 0.992 BTC for 180GH/s on: March 16, 2014, 05:26:56 PM

So then I am not getting an S2 an extra S1 or my 6.7BTC back?

I suppose your not as bad as hashlast at least.  I mean they charged 73BTC and don't even have the decency to threaten me with scammer tags for asking them to send me a product or a refund or at least a picture of a middle finger.

Meh.
*grabs popcorn*

.04 BTC has come out of the 20%, .033 after hardware fixing (a cord got messed up in the DC move).  Was actually going to use it later today to buy shares in the hosted Gridseed gb I'm doing right now.  That will add an estimated .66kh/s per share Smiley

Edit: shares have been reserved: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=471896.new;topicseen#new

That's cool!
You must be busy managing all those new group buys Wink

Please could you some time whip up a better spreadsheet, with costs and reinvestments and payments and that kind of thing all documented in one place.

Also on the nice-to-have list would be links to the mining. Here are links to what I've had on another group buy:

Typing up payouts right now, I didn't forget about you guys Wink

And we are very grateful of that Tongue
By the way, I was wondering if you amassed a considerable amount from the 20% reinvestment?
