1641  Other / Meta / Re: fillippone merited thread need more support of merit source. on: June 29, 2023, 09:01:35 AM
If you ask his merit, it is merit begging. If you ask his money, it is money begging.
Certain users are designated as "merit sources". They can create new merit out of nothing, up to a limited number per month (which differs per source). I will not be posting a definitive list of merit sources (so that people don't bug them too much), though you'll soon figure out who they are if you pay attention.

Do not beg for merit excessively.

Theymos was asked about these topics and no objection was raised so we cannot consider it merit begging but I personally consider it spam, the participants in these topics are content to create 10 high-quality topics, put them in a list, search for any source that gives them merits for those threads, repeat it again and again.

The result is 10 high quality posts, 100 low quality posts, many spam review posts trying to get those 10 high quality posts more merits.
1642  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Kucoin to introduce mandatory KYC on: June 29, 2023, 08:44:41 AM
Am I misunderstanding what is being said or is the wording of the article in cointelegraph not accurate, they mentioned:

Quote
The KYC authentication upgrade introduces mandatory KYC checks for all new users at KuCoin starting from July 15, 2023.

Existing users who registered before July 15, 2023, will also have to complete the KYC process to access some features on KuCoin. Such users will not be able to deposit new funds, while withdrawals will remain unaffected, the announcement notes.

What is meant by users will not be able to deposit new funds? I remember that after more than a year of binance KYC, I sent some coins wrongly to my old binance address, I logged in and managed to withdraw, will deposits to an old Kucoin address be considered as lost coins? This will cause legal problems for them.

The correct wording is that users who registered before July 15, 2023 will not be able to trade after that date and all their positions will be liquidated on July 15, 2023 at 12:00 UTC.

Why the new KYC are not applied with immediate effect?
1643  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitgert a scam? on: June 29, 2023, 08:30:11 AM
Choosing a project for investment includes not being scam, as your investment in any scam project means losing your money, but also the fact that Bitgert is not a scam does not mean that it is a good investment.

 - Search for the developer team, are there photos or not, if there are photos, are there personal data or not, if there are no photos or the developer team is unknown and there is no necessary reason for them to be anonymous, do not invest in them.
 - Read the white paper. Is its data unique, or is it copied and pasted from the Internet.
 - Does the currency have a good future plan, is there continuous development, is the demand limits limited, or are there a lot of tokens that are printed and burned.

These are general indications that if the currency fails, it is not good for investment, and practices such as theft of images, plagiarism, and the possibility of controlling tokens indicate that it is scam.
1644  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TrueUSD (TUSD) Next stablecoin to depeg? on: June 28, 2023, 11:00:10 AM
So far, it seems that TUSD has been stabilized, as it has almost returned to the levels of ~ one dollar, but as it is linked to binance, I think that the reason is binance’ attempt to keep its BNB currency, and therefore binance resorted to selling Bitcoin and all stablecoins in exchange for keeping BNB above 200 USD.

In general, there is no smoke without fire, if you have any stablecoin, especially TrueUSD (TUSD), now may be a good time to sell.
1645  Other / Meta / Re: Is it allowed to post in English in a Local Section on: June 28, 2023, 10:28:26 AM
they are ok but if a person has a post history where he only insists to speak in English on a local board, what do the rules of bitcointalk say in this regard?
What is that local board? For example, it is almost possible to use the English language in the Indian board. Otherwise, you can report it to mod and those posts will be deleted. If the account continues to post, it will be banned for a period of 7 days, 14 days, a month and Permanent.
Why does that user insist on posting in that local board? Is it because of merits or something else? If you include the account link, she/he may get negative trust.
1646  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Return Of Terra Luna Classic on: June 28, 2023, 10:11:38 AM
When Terra Luna first emerged, the main idea was for it to be a currency to support the stability of its stablecoin by using Bitcoin. This project failed, and thus was the end of the idea and the end of Terra Luna. Terra Luna Classic was created as a solution to the problem, which is to be a stable currency away from the attempt to stabilize the stablecoin, and thus lost the main reason for the project and from which it became the same as any altcoin, and therefore the best thing you will get is a pump-and-dump currency.

Whoever tries to promote the return of that coin is supporting a pump-and-dump scam coin.
1647  Other / Archival / Re: 🐱 [banned mixer] - The Cutest Bitcoin Mixer! on: June 28, 2023, 09:56:17 AM
What is new in this service or the mechanism of work, in the sense of how the mixing process takes place, and how strong is the mixing?

Why did you mention the 3-hour period, is it the least, and how do you guarantee money laundering regulations, as it cannot be guaranteed unless your currencies come from mining farms or central financial services, and here it is easy to track.
How does the user ensure that his data will not be recorded?

I am amazed at the number of mixes that come from Russia, is the demand for cryptocurrency that high?
1648  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Direct Sending of Coins to another Coin Wallet. on: June 28, 2023, 09:40:52 AM
You mean decentralized exchange based on smart contracts so that coins can be sent directly. It is something that all DEXs dream of and has not yet been achieved between different blockchains because the need of centralized liquidity pool. The reason for that is that you need a centralized or distributed system to provide liquidity, which is the real problem so far.

If these ideas succeed, and they are something that is currently impossible, then all other central platforms will be more like banks, as they enable you to withdraw crypto to fiat money and vice versa.
1649  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Whirlwind.money | ⚡No Fee⚡ | Ultimate Privacy | Anonymity Mining 12% APR🔥 on: June 28, 2023, 09:04:41 AM
Or is 5 day not enough too??
@Hhampuz It is best to contact @Whirlwind.money and ask them to fix this issue quickly. In addition to that, hiring an active person here to answer frequently asked questions and send problems directly to them if they do not have time to keep this ANN updated. After all, the service is still new and the support team’s delay in responding is not an act of a service that wants to gain trust and needs trust.

IF support doesn't reply after 5 days, can I now call it a scam?
Or is 5 day not enough too??
You can give them a negative trust and not use them again. They have a promotional campaign that pays more than 4,000 dollars a week. If you do not solve your problem before next Tuesday, you can request that the campaign stop and look into your problem, especially if the amount you deposited is large.
1650  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Beginners Should Follow These To Be A Good Price Predictor on: June 28, 2023, 08:56:50 AM
Good advice, I hope it wasn't written with artificial intelligence.
The problem does not lie in the tips, but rather in the application. For example, I can give you thousands of tips to learn to drive a car, but 5 minutes of application equals thousands of hours of reading. The first is to start by creating a demo account and learn the basics such as  Moving Avarage (MA), support and resistance points, and Fibonacci analysis. After that, you need to start trading with small amounts to learn how to control your feelings and stay away from psychological factors, and over time you can compare your strategy and advice with other traders or post it here.
1651  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Scam]: Fake 5000 BTC Gemini Airdrop on: June 27, 2023, 01:06:00 PM
Do we need to create such topics to prove that they are scammer, this scam is spreading faster than the possibility of closing such sites, understanding it was the number of threads that we create are the fastest, so awareness and educating beginners how to identify fraud and telling them that no one gives money for free will help reduce the spread of such scam.

This kind of scam is not a new thing, so people should be aware that it is a scam, this is what happened when people click on the 'Official link to get BTC'
Don't do a screenshot like this, I can see your photo at the top and a lot of data about you. Tongue
1652  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it painless to control a multitude??? on: June 27, 2023, 12:42:42 PM
The state of institutions is what makes the leader an ordinary individual and an employee in the state whose work ends with the end of his term of office and then returns to practice his normal life and normal occupations. The absence of a state of institutions separated by powers protected by the constitution is what makes corruption widespread in the state and enables the authority of the army, the mafia or armed militias.

the leader must take care of the existence of healthy institutions and opposition, otherwise he will suffer from fear and anxiety about the possibility that someone will seize power by force.
1653  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin breaking out of 2 month downtrend on: June 27, 2023, 12:39:09 PM
I pretty much was predicting the uptrend. It is a sort of reclaiming Support level, so I think now we can break even $32k or $33k. Let's see how this goes.

So far, it seems that the resistance level is steadfast, and we were not able to reach the levels of 32K dollars, but re-testing the resistance level more than once makes it weak. In general, I hope that it will not be broken soon, because it is clear that we will witness two rounds of interest rate hikes during the next 3 months, which means that if the price does not break the resistance barrier now, it may not do so during the second/third quarter of this year.
1654  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Should we care about the Proof of Reserves of the Exchanges? on: June 27, 2023, 12:34:48 PM
It depends on the regulatory body that monitors that platform. If the platform obtained a license in a country and that country is good at monitoring assets, then the level of transparency will be higher than another country that does not have a license, and so on. It all depends on the regulatory regulations more than what those platforms announce.

Therefore, Proof of Reserves is good for platforms that have obtained licenses from a country with legislative laws related to crypto, otherwise you, as a regular user, will not be able to verify the accuracy of this information.
1655  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Whats going on with Bitcoin Cash BCH? on: June 27, 2023, 12:02:08 PM
Trading volumes increased significantly during the last week, since it was about 100 million now it has become $1,612,099,479
116.43% This means that the retail sale is not the reason, but an institutional investment that led to this change. It may be one of the investment funds that invest in these currencies, or whatever it is, it will not continue and the price may maintain the current level at best.

BCH is dead coin and far from Pump/dump coin.
1656  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you running your BTC wallet on Linux? Why? on: June 24, 2023, 08:34:42 AM
As for me, there are many reasons why I stick with windows, I love doing many things on winOS and those things aren't available on Linux but I am just curious to know, what's so great about running Electrum BTC wallet for example on a Linus OS?
As a general advice, do not leave your money in a hot wallet, which is the one that connects to the Internet and uses it in daily life, because errors happen and you may sometimes need to click on a link or do anything.
Therefore, it is better to store your money in cold storage, and if it is necessary to use a hot wallet, then Linux is preferable.
This is if you are careful not to click links at random or give permissions to closed source applications.
1657  Economy / Reputation / Re: AI Spam Report Reference Thread on: June 24, 2023, 08:18:54 AM
It seems that not entirely, because there has been another forum member who wanted to take merit for the success. I have linked to this thread before without thinking that nutildah could have discovered the cheater before. I don't know what his motives may have been but I'll keep an eye on him.

I strongly believe he was an alt of @nlovric that tried to exploit the story to get some free merits. he locked and archived that topic after I posted this:

Maybe we can find out more, I've written some criteria for determining which account farms this account applies to:

These topics have become attractive for account farming who have a lot of alt accounts as they can quickly rank up by participating in:

 - spamming Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion
 - weekly post in Share your best posts/thread OR HELP ME TO RANKUP TOPICS.
 - The challenges are like the last pizza challenge, and I suppose most of the participants aimed for merits, and then participated using some alt accounts.
 - Making some fake stories like I helped my local community with bitcoin or false claim with the help of beginners.

So I expect that there will be an army of alt accounts, given the merit record that he sent there are these accounts.

If someone is good at identifying alt accounts, this is a potential list.

The strange thing now is that these accounts are found in the list of accounts to which he sent merits.

1658  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Promotion methods. Dark & Bitcointalk? on: June 24, 2023, 07:46:52 AM
We are also interested in why Bitcoin mixers are advertised here and not on the dark web.
You can ask campaign managers about the revenue from advertising in the forum, and you can get some statistics here ----> https://bitcointalk.org/adrotate.php?adstats
We have a chipmixer campaign that has been going on here for several years and paid a lot but in return got a huge number of users, and almost most of the successful blenders had a promotional campaign in the forum.

Advertising here is not limited to the number of clicks, but to the trust that you gain almost whirlwind.money did not advertise in a place other than the forum, however, they have a good growth in the number of users.
1659  Economy / Exchanges / Re: EXC24.com | Crypto Exchange on: June 24, 2023, 07:33:49 AM
Can you confirm that you are trading from your own reserves and not through the API some CEXs.
This exchange reminded me of ----> BetterCallRaul.it Domain Scam confirmed they have a purchased user interface, and in the background there is an API connected to a central platform, and the small number of the developer team makes it possible to check for vulnerabilities, so wouldn't it be better for you to create a P2P account and pay the rest for the advertising expenses.
