721  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Alleged Hacking Incident Tied to Bitcoin’s Massive 83.65 Bitcoin Fee Error on: November 28, 2023, 10:51:57 AM
We already have:

 - Someone just paid 83BTC for transaction fee,
 - someone pays 83.65 $BTC ($3,136,058) in transaction fees, overpaying by 120,258
 - Or here: Is\will Bitcoin become unaffordable to use?

There are enough discussions on this topic and there is no need to create more. You can continue the discussion there, but it is not the first time that a software bug has caused this, and it may not be the last.
722  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: ADS Plus – No KYC Crypto Debit Cards on: November 28, 2023, 10:45:37 AM
The fees are a bit high compared to other cards but
 - How much are the daily usage or withdrawal limits, and can you refill the card or does it come with a fixed balance?
 - Are you sure that there are no restrictions on use, whether restrictions on location or services, such as not being accepted in some services?

I did not find any legal data on the site. There is no mention of the registration number, the company that issues the cards, or the money-back guarantee or these cards are legal and not stolen.

723  Economy / Services / Re: Im looking for customers and partners around the world for new crypto escrow on: November 28, 2023, 10:12:08 AM
Without a website, sign a message saying you have X amount of Bitcoin or go first, otherwise no one will believe you. If you want to start a trading service on the forum, you will need to move the topic to currency exchange board and then send money for escrow, or at least go first to trusted members. However, if you have any things that prove that you are reliable, it is better to submit them.
724  Economy / Economics / Re: Central Banks keeping secret about CBDC blockchains on: November 27, 2023, 03:15:15 PM
I do not know what the secret is here, but many governments are developing CBDC, and some of them have reached the experimental stages. As for scalability problems, the currency will be centralized, and therefore there will be a single authority that manages data updating operations. Also, even some of the Crypple blockchains can manage thousands of transactions, so scalability is linked to certain conditions when What has been achieved is that any central currency based on the blockchain can perform thousands of transactions per second.
Overall I think you need to read more about CBDCs instead of conspiracy theories.
725  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Illiquid Supply Hits An All-Time High on: November 27, 2023, 03:04:39 PM
As people realize the value of Bitcoin and that there is an opportunity to increase the price, the majority will tend to choose the option of spending paper money first instead of Bitcoin, as people tend to keep expensive things. It is just like women love gold and spend it only when necessary and not when they want to buy more things, but at some point. You will find yourself wanting to sell.
Therefore, the people who do not sell at next ATH are the ones who look at the value of Bitcoin in the long term and not now, because by all standards, now is a bad time to sell unless you are forced.
726  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why rush, instead of taking your time to learn about the forum ? on: November 27, 2023, 02:42:15 PM
Instead of trying to quickly rank-up your account to join signature campaigns,  currently it is best for all newbies to find a way to buy Bitcoin quickly. If the price rises to more than $100,000 during the next 16 months, then every dollar you invest now may be worth $4 in the future, and you can easily buy Bitcoin again at the bottom of the current cycle, therefore, for every beginner, signature campaigns are appropriate at the end of each cycle and after the price begins to correct, and it is not good as bitcoin Halving approaches.
727  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Consolidation on: November 27, 2023, 02:34:09 PM
I think by market structure you mean market direction, which refers to monitoring trading volumes near resistance and support points and then taking them as mechanisms for making decisions? The 4-hour time frame is not a sufficient period of time to make decisions regarding the market direction, and the trend can be reversed in it. Therefore, monitoring the time period with trading volumes will give better results.
728  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Solar Superstorm | Impact on the internet and Bitcoin. on: November 27, 2023, 01:43:41 PM
The impact of an Internet outage on the Bitcoin network is not devastating, especially since it will happen in all countries of the world, but if it happens, the damage will be a major problem for the global economy, so all discussions about this matter are purely hypothetical, especially since most cables (even those that reach homes) have become fiber, especially in my country, which is copper wires are rarely found, and all services that will be affected can be shut down, isolated, and restored to service within hours. you should know that the Bitcoin network suffered an outage in 2013.
729  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin transaction time reduce in future? on: November 27, 2023, 10:08:43 AM
Currently it takes 1-3 hours for a transaction to complete if we do it with less fee? Is it possible in future that this transaction time will reduce or may be even become instant? Like when all Bitcoins are  mined and there are mainly holders instead of traders and volume of transactions decline.

If the time between blocks is reduced, then you will need more than one block, and you may find that some services consider the transaction complete after 10 blocks or even more blocks, as in BSV, where the matter reached 1k of confirmations[1].
Therefore, an average of 10 minutes is useful, and the higher fees you pay, the higher the probability that your transaction will be confirmed within less than 10 minutes. If you want instant transactions, use the Lightning Network or side networks.

730  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What one change to Bitcoin can make it's adoption faster? on: November 27, 2023, 10:03:00 AM
The speed of conducting financial transactions for parties that do not have bank accounts or have difficulty accessing SWIFT. There may not be a person who knows that using Bitcoin, sending anything to anyone in the world is easy and fast.
Inflation: Inflation has reached almost all countries. It is true that some of them feel it to a lesser degree, but inflation is one of the reasons that will push more people to think about Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies.
Overall, Bitcoin users are growing well and it is better to think of it as a payment instrument rather than an investment.
731  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Profile trick + [Guide] on: November 27, 2023, 09:44:22 AM
Thanks for the information but change of user name doesn't seem to be common on the forum.
This is because first of all I didn't think it can be done from your profile but rather by theymos himself right?
True, so you need the account ID, which almost everyone knows because it is a requirement when you want to join signature campaigns (note that they do not ask you for your username.) Otherwise, tracking IDs will be useless because some accounts will be deleted.

BTW Is this your only account? I noticed another account posting a screenshot in the same font you use, and there is a similarity between two accounts.
732  Other / Meta / Re: sMerit should be sent out in 2's to allow for 1 sMerit to be born on: November 27, 2023, 09:18:04 AM
Personally, I send 2, 4, 6, sometimes 3 and 5, so I rarely send a single Merit for a high-quality post.
Everyone can help whatever they can, but unless you are a merit source, then your help is limited.
Your suggestion is good, but it varies from one user to another. and if it is difficult for you to obtain more sMerit, then suggest any posts that deserve merits to merit sources. Grin
733  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Whirlwind.money | ⚡No Fee⚡ | Ultimate Privacy | Anonymity Mining 12% APR🔥 on: November 27, 2023, 09:03:39 AM
I saw movements on the address bc1qf8h5k6sash8007vpesymxkw2xsg5d0r3j4l5vmcrwpz2pqu66fjstzgd3r that is now empty.
Do you know what is going on?
It seems that coins is starting to move, and if they do not return to give a statement in the coming hours, WWM is officially considered to have stopped, and anyone who sent to the service without communicating here has been scammed. I don't think received addresses were a multi-signature address, so they withdrew.
734  Other / Meta / Re: DT1 and DT2 Explained - Gods of Bitcointalk on: November 26, 2023, 05:24:09 PM
This is the strangest explanation I hear today. The forum is multinational and many people believe in different opinions and beliefs, so it is better to keep religion away from the explanations. I also think that most religions today are monotheistic, meaning that there is one God that does not need your worship, but rather you are the one who needs.
In general, the descriptions you mentioned are far from explaining how the trust system works.
735  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A lesson from other people's mistake can go a long way on: November 26, 2023, 05:11:53 PM
You can make the same mistake one or two times, but if you do it more often, the problem is yours, so instead of blaming yourself, you will not turn back the clock and take advantage of these opportunities to learn from the mistakes of the past and start a new beginning from them, and you must not let greed control you, as soon as the price rises We will see some people expect prices such as $200,000 and even $500,000, so the best advice is as long as the price is less than $50,000, buy in large quantities, then DCA, and start selling at any level near $130,000.
736  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Was This Client Kidnapped for Their Coins? on: November 26, 2023, 04:52:05 PM
Often these scammers use services that provide temporary numbers or even Telegram accounts, and after a period of time they sell them or the service provider sells them, and a third party may buy them. Therefore, this third party does not necessarily have to be a scammer, but it is better not to deal with any account on Telegram without using escrow.

Back to your story, did they pay you the remaining $4,000, or did the project stop, or what?

738  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Who should own a demo account? on: November 26, 2023, 04:11:18 PM
Not using a Demo trading account is considered a form of arrogance, and thus a trader will end up thinking that he understands everything about the market and suddenly loses everything. Therefore, as long as you want to trade, learn from everyone, listen to everyone, and try your plan in Demo accounts, and then you will get a better vision than investing without thinking.
739  Economy / Reputation / Re: Please tag my old account (98789) on: November 26, 2023, 04:06:16 PM
@tg9 Nice story, but without proving that you are the owner of the account, we cannot do anything. Can you prove ownership by showing any information that only those who can access that account know, for example, details of PM messages or a trusted person on the forum that you communicated with, or any Bitcoin address that you can sign a message from, or anything?

Everything is somehow confusing. Was your account hacked or sold?
It appears that he lost access to his account and is now trying to prove that he has an old account or help restore that account.
You have to prove that you used to be the owner of that account. Sign one of the old Bitcoin addresses used by the 98789 account. For example, 1PUXDiGXQygTs32iB9YwfnUadQhpuWGnq9 which is used here

I don't know if this is the Coinbase address he meant

Quote
When I was 98789 I staked one of my bitcoin addresses, but unfortunately it was a Coinbase address. To the best of my knowledge, they removed the ability to sign messages years ago, so while I know that that is the gold standard to prove you are who you claim to be, I won't be able to provide a signed message for that reason. I see no reason why I would claim some really old account
740  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cannot Withdraw BTCpay Balance...Assistance Needed on: November 26, 2023, 03:45:15 PM
I think the type of address you are using is P2SH, and I tried to insert it for native segwit, so the balance appeared as zero. Use the P2SH statement before importing, and I think your path will be Segwit: m/0'
If it does not work, use ---> https://iancoleman.io/bip39/ (manage it offline) and then filter the addresses that contain a balance and will get the correct path and private keys.
