^ Why would Gavin go meet with the NSA? If they ask, you do....so he did.
If you say no... you're still getting a meeting with them.

1642  Economy / Speculation / Re: btc china depth is staggering on: November 24, 2014, 01:03:35 AM
Considering they have the highest volume, does it look like a major break out upwards is likely?
Are you asking us to speculate?

I'm asking you to make an educated guess, so I can speculate.
In that case, your thread belongs in the speculation sub-forum, found here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=57.0
1643  Economy / Speculation / Re: when to invest? on: November 23, 2014, 10:42:06 PM
Stop thinking about it as an investment into bitcoin and start thinking about it as a divestment from a dying medium (fiat scrip promissory banknotes, which are trust-based and violence-backed).

From that new (more accurate) perspective, it is always a good time to buy and hold bitcoin.

I've heard that before.

They will when it eats their preferred currency.
1647  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do regular people think about Bitcoin? Awesome video with funny responses. on: November 23, 2014, 04:32:51 PM
I resent the implication that being involved in bitcoin makes me an irregular person. That's like saying only average IQ people are "regular", fuck that. I'm the normal one, it's the clueless plebeian masses that are borderline-retarded slaves!

The only solution is to burn them all. Yes, burn all the fiat using heathens, it's the will of god (satoshi)!

1649  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I feel, Bitcoin is torn in a cold war between two kinds of people! on: November 22, 2014, 05:58:58 AM
It's hardly idealism, the simple fact is if we give ground and change the source code [...words]
It doesn't matter if you change bitcoin's sourcecode. If the changes aren't desirable to most people, adoption of that update won't occur and people will stick with the old version. A natural self-interested democracy solves the problem.
1650  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Destroy your wallet or go to gitmo? Are you ready to die for Bitcoin? on: November 22, 2014, 04:48:29 AM
Brain wallet gg governments, piss off you powerless pukestains.
1651  Other / Off-topic / Re: hackers can steal data wirelessly from pcs that arent even online on: November 20, 2014, 12:59:28 PM
The only safe machine for cold storage is an Altair
That and your brain. A key to an address is just information after all.
1652  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin deletion project. 21 million to 20 million. on: November 19, 2014, 06:55:36 PM
I came up with the idea of capital coins.  However, I think you can boost the price of bitcoin if you attempt to delete 1 million coins.  Many have already been lost.  If you can get the large and new businesses to delete 1% of their coins, maybe over a year we can get to 20 million total supply while the price is cheap.  Maybe set up a mining pool to delete transaction fees, and only accept transactions with a fee attached.

A business might have a 5,000 BTC profit
1,000 btc a year would go to deletion
4,000 btc distributed to shareholders.

If you add those lost and those intentionally deleted, we could get to 20 million.  Deflation and austerity will lead to growth, as it always does.  As opposed to inflation, money supply growth, and hyperinflation which leads to tyranny.
I think you need to stop deleting so many braincells, broslice.

Puff puff pass man.
1653  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Compared to Bitcoin, gold doesn't seem real... on: November 19, 2014, 02:57:59 PM
People seem to be under the illusion that gold sits idly in central banks. Even today gold still backs up the $.
That's why every country has been scrambling to get the gold back in their coffers lately (with the US refusing and keeping it for themselves).

They smell blood in the water for fiat money. The petrodollar is going to tank, and when it does shit is going to hit the fan globally for every fiat.
1654  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Compared to Bitcoin, gold doesn't seem real... on: November 18, 2014, 03:10:47 PM
Bitcoins can protect some of your wealth even when you are wrongfully judged by an imperfect society.

Ask Ulbricht how that went.
Ulbricht was a noob who should have been using brain wallet and not telling anyone he even had a stash that size.

Also he had terrible opsec, running a huge darkweb market moving millions of dollars of drugs and he was on fucking FACEBOOK! What?!
1655  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FBI Second round auction of 50,000 btc! Who is gonna win this? on: November 18, 2014, 04:19:24 AM
How are they able to auction off his coins when he hasn't been convicted of anything yet?

In America inanimate objects are guilty until proven innocent and cannot defend themselves so they are stolen. You don't even need to be charged with a crime either because the bitcoins and cash can be charged with crimes directly.

You have the option of spending a lot of time and money after you win your innocence to try and reclaim the assets after the fact, many people don't bother though because its an uphill battle that you may not win anyways.

Shocking.....When will American ppl wake up?

When they can't afford gas or they can't watch their football game.

That would be torture right!... how come torture is permitted
"uhhh... national security.. protect the children.. 9/11... uhh.. there was no torture.. THIS INTERVIEW IS OVER."
1657  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Satoshi Nakamoto be world's first trillionaire ? on: November 18, 2014, 02:15:38 AM
AFAIK There are already trillionaire's but doesn't want to show off because IRS will be chasing them.

There is a world outside USA where IRS cant do anything.
Not on this planet there's not.

America is a rotting, thoroughly corrupt military empire with a pay 2 play "justice" system. If you have any questions, don't ask them because you might get shot.
1659  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How I Used Bitcoin To Feed The Homeless on: November 17, 2014, 09:50:28 PM
I'd like to see a "How I used Bitcoin to Eat the Rich" thread.

We need more charity in BTC, all crypto charity is done by doge community.
We absolutely do not need more charity. Charity is unethical. What the world needs now more than ever is solidarity among the working-poor, underemployed, and unemployed castes.

Charities are not unethical on their own. Go tell the homeless from Sean's Outpost that they should starve to death while waiting for the solidarity/social justice/whatever.
Charity doesn't exist in a vacuum. I would never advocate for capitalism as we know it WITHOUT charity, that would be even MORE awful than our current system, but this question is missing the big picture.

The big picture is that it is immoral to use private property in order to alleviate the horrible evils that result from the institution of private property. The goal must be to create a world where poverty is impossible!

Try listening this time, you only need 5 open-minded minutes with Mr. Zizek to unlearn some of your programming. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hpAMbpQ8J7g#t=6m20s
1660  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Compared to Bitcoin, gold doesn't seem real... on: November 17, 2014, 04:48:43 PM
Compared to Bitcoin gold doesn't seem real... secure.
That's because it's not. The only way to make gold even approach bitcoin's level of security is if you're a billionaire who can afford to store his gold on a space station or on the moon. Other than that, you can't even play in the same league as bitcoin security-wise.
