There is no such thing as an illegal human being. All borders are a crime against all humanity.

822  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What's your opinion of gun control? on: June 20, 2015, 01:58:08 PM
And correction:  YOU have priviliges.  I have freedoms.  Try to take them away from me.  I dare you.
Yeah, why don't you ask the Texas Waco cultists how well that attitude holds up when push comes to shove. OH WAIT, you can't because they burned to death.

All your guns aren't going to even put a scratch on one of these.

”Those who sacrifice liberty for security deserve neither.” -- Ben Franklin
Actually, Franklin never wrote those words. First of all, the correct quote is “Those who would give up Essential Liberty, to purchase a little Temporary safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety"

It was first seen in An Historical Review of the Constitution and Government of Pennsylvania in 1759; the book was written by one Richard Jackson, Ben Franklin was merely the publisher.

If you, as a person, give up your freedoms (like the right to carry a gun)
You have no rights. You have privileges granted by your government, these can be taken away at any time of their choosing.
824  Other / Politics & Society / Re: South Carolina church shooting: Nine die in Charleston 'hate crime' on: June 20, 2015, 01:44:54 PM
And what is stopping that same individual from just plowing that car into a bunch of people?

825  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What's your opinion of gun control? on: June 20, 2015, 01:18:44 PM
As long as we as a society hold profit-making as sacred, we will never claw our way out of this violent hell we've put ourselves into.
826  Other / Politics & Society / Re: South Carolina church shooting: Nine die in Charleston 'hate crime' on: June 20, 2015, 01:08:50 PM
But black African people are good at revenge too.  Once an innocent white girl who is about to die with cancer in a span of 6 months, walking in the street, few black African men came in the car pulled her inside and raped.
That's not revenge for anything, that's just rape. Your "friend" is an idiot, and definitely a racist. Because a few men who happened to have dark skin committed a crime, all people with dark skin are "good at revenge"? This is the textbook definition of prejudice.

My friend told me who live in the United States of America
Right, "your friend" told you that story. Seems legit bro, you definitely didn't just pull this bullshit out of your ass. Nothing like a totally irrelevant gang rape story to muster up some hatred for a centuries-oppressed minority group.

Kindly kill yourself so you can stop spreading this ignorant hatred to others.

828  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Sex behind bars. Conjugal Visits. Good or Bad? on: June 20, 2015, 12:53:37 PM
If the criminals turn violent without sexual activity, then they should be castrated, or treated with drugs which can reduce the testosterone levels.
This is called torture, AKA cruel and unusual punishment. This is explicitly forbidden by the 8th amendment to the U.S. constitution, my fascism-loving friend.

These people are imprisoned for committing heinous crimes such as rapes, murders and armed robbery. They can't demand that the prison authorities should bring them sex-workers to satisfy their lust.
IF ONLY everyone in jail was a violent criminal. Reality is that the majority (74%) of the US prison population are in there for non-violent offenses.

http://www.bop.gov/about/statistics/statistics_inmate_offenses.jsp

Sex Offenses                     - 7%
Weapons, Explosives, Arson - 16%
Homicide, Aggravated Assault - 2.9%

26% there's your violent offenders

and all the rest are non-violent, including
Drug Offenses - 48.5%

Selling guns is much too profitable, mental healthcare far too expensive, for the corpo-political decision-maker caste to care that a bunch of random Americans will be slain in a shooting every so often.

After all, it's not like important people ever find themselves in the line of fire in these random attacks. No, their world is the safety and comfort skyscrapers, jetplanes, and limos.

Even in the United States, you need a license/ carry permit/Firearm registration to own a firearm (varies from state to state), and it is not that easy to obtain them. Most of the states have banned the possession of assault weapons.
The problem is that all you need is a cheap car and enough cash to get you to a state like Arizona where any asshole can go to a "gun show" (read: gun sale) and anonymously buy a bigass murder weapon with no background check, and no license. Then you hop in your car, drive back to your home state, and murder a bunch of innocent people.

The system works! 'Murica!

Says it all.
831  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Sex behind bars. Conjugal Visits. Good or Bad? on: June 20, 2015, 12:59:26 AM
Wondering what the general consensus is regarding conjugal visits in prison. The way I see it, these criminals broke the law and it's been determined by a judge or jury that their freedom is to be taken away.

So why let criminals have sex in prison?

Do they let inmates on death row have them? If not. Why not?

What do you guys think?
Prolonged denial of sexual activity is cruel and unusual punishment (torture) for any sexually active adult primate. Furthermore, sexual activity makes primates less prone to violence. If nothing else for the safety of the guards orgasms should be allowed and encouraged.
832  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am pretty confident we are the new wealthy elite, gentlemen. on: June 19, 2015, 10:56:09 PM
does anybody really feel that it will go back to 1200$ (practically)

If it doesn't go astronomically past that point, it is a fail that will just disappear.
This is correct. Longterm, the price per coin and market cap must continue increasing with difficulty or the incentive system would fall apart because btc wouldn't be profitable to mine.

I think bitcoin will sail past 12,000 United States promissory bancnotes. Transparent decentralized mathematics vs. The full faith and credit of a military empire currently sliding into collapse and economic ruin...

This isn't that hard to predict. No hegemony in history lasts forever.
833  Other / Off-topic / Re: What was BTC price? on: June 19, 2015, 10:49:39 PM
Hello, people! Grin

Do you remember price of Bitcoin when you heard about BTC at first in your life?
30ish when I first heard about it.

130ish at my first trade.
834  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Black Holes and it's effect on price on: June 19, 2015, 10:49:04 PM
Doesn't matter at all. Bitcoin is a black hole for all other wealth, and is divisible to 8 decimal places.
835  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What Is A Social Justice Warrior (SJW)? on: June 19, 2015, 09:17:48 PM
Sad where did all the real communists go?
Murdered or sent to gulag/prisons/concentration camps by Germany, USSR, and USA in the 40s and 50s.

The angry ghosts of those countless millions murdered by fascists for thoughtcrime seen to have come back with a vengeance,  haven't they?

Soon it will be our turn to face the gulags, my fellow capitalist scums. Deep down you know this to be true. There is no escaping the coming economic retribution.
836  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Welcome to the "Bitcoin Standard" on: June 19, 2015, 06:38:15 PM
Nice graph, most of us are really excited to see a change on that billon marketcap, what would be the price of one btc if we hit a 1 trillion cap ?
Approx. 60,000$ per BTC, but the potential market cap could just as easily be five or twenty times larger than that.

Quote
Ex-Facebook executive Chamath Palihapitiya wrote a Bloomberg opinion piece stating that bitcoin could become a "better version" of gold, or even a replacement for the precious metal. With all the gold in the world totalling around $8 trillion, Palihapitiya said, if bitcoin replaced gold as a store of value, each bitcoin would cost almost $400,000, once all 21m bitcoins have been mined ($8 trillion/21m BTC).

We just don't know how much of, or how quickly the planet's stored wealth will be swallowed up by the bitcoin black hole. The table below presents a list of companies in four sectors which Bitcoin and its surrounding ecosystem touch – payment processors, payment hardware, bank software, and money transfer and ATM outsourcing.

Bitcoin Ecosystem - Comparable Company Market Caps ($s millions)

Quote from: Coindesk
(...) analysts Gil Luria and Aaron Turner see intrinsic value of bitcoin as a conduit in a new global crowd-funded open-source payment network. "Among other facets, we believe Bitcoin and its associated technology represent a potentially game-changing disruption to our covered payments companies," they said.

The analysts observe three key sources of demand for Bitcoin - 1. as a disruptive payment network technology, 2. an alternative uncorrelated asset class, 3. and a safe haven currency. However, they believe the payment network capabilities are the key to the sustainability of crypto currency, with Bitcoin the early leader.

(...)

The key to Bitcoin's success so far, and significant promise going forward, is in crowd-funding the development of the first new global payment network in decades, the analysts explain.

They see some evidence for this in the willingness of key countries (Germany, USA, China) to regulate, not shut down Bitcoin, in spite of the perceived risk to their sovereign currency. "More importantly in our mind is that with a decentralized structure even if a small number of countries choose not to interfere or are not able to interfere, Bitcoin's technologies are likely to thrive," they said.

They do believe there is a meaningful probability Bitcoin may not succeed, but this will most likely be a result of the emergence of a better crypto currency, they said.

Based on the order of magnitude of the overall opportunity and some very rough calculations they also believe scenarios exist by which a Bitcoin could be valued 10-100x its current price. "We believe rising Bitcoin prices help build the network thus entrenching its value, especially vis-à-vis other alternative coins/conduits. Based on this framework, we would postulate that current Bitcoin prices reflect a peak penetration of 1% of total potential demand in 10 years," they said.

I just hope that someone who is more sane, and not easily bribed by the bankers, will replace him.
Not likely, there are very few politicians these days who're unfriendly to bribery.

Everyone has an ego. Everyone. Everyone.
Part of our responsibility as adult members of society is tempering our ego with consideration for others. This is how we mature, both as individuals and collectively as a civilization.
839  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What Is A Social Justice Warrior (SJW)? on: June 19, 2015, 03:30:25 PM
Do you think the concept of sjw was hijacked by reddit zombies and you represent the true nature of being a real sjw?
This question is moot, there is no such thing as a "real" SJW. https://yourlogicalfallacyis.com/no-true-scotsman

Neither SJWs nor Redditors are a monolith. Reddit is the fourth most popular site on the web for fuck's sake. By the way, *gasp* I also read and comment on Reddit. TEH HORRORZ!

Is doxxing someone or have him fired through a relentless attack campaign justified if that person does not share your viewpoint?
No, and I would never do that. Once again, redditors are not a monolith, there are millions of different users on Reddit with millions of different worldviews.

[SJW] is more of an ironic label that's sprung up, basically, these people 'think' they're fighting for social justice, but in reality they're deliberately searching around for the most tiny insignificant things to complain about and want to micro-manage every aspect of our lives and what we say or do.
Yeah, tiny insignificant things like human rights, pandemic rape, sex slavery, worker exploitation, child exploitation, privacy, consumer protection, government corruption and hypocrisy, and mass corporate deception.  Roll Eyes

The words you're looking for, my conservative white male american comrade, aren't

tiny insignificant things
they're, "if it doesn't affect me, it doesn't matter!" Only two types of entities have this logic. Infants and narcissists.

What you call "tiny insignificant things", I call suffering, compassion, and solidarity, the three pillars of all social progress. And all revolution.

What topic are we discussing again?
Have you never participated in a debate before? They often meander. When they don't wander, arguments tend to quickly devolve into folks arguing the same points and counterpoints in circles with one another.

I guess you are just so many light years evolved from us "conversatards" that you no longer have a need any longer to follow the same premise
More fascistic ignorance, what a surprise. This is an internet forum, as such no one is required to accept anyone else's premises, we are each free to dispute or reject any premise of our choosing. Actually that's sort of the point. I note that you've failed to dispute a single one of my premises in your post, only attacked me personally. Weak.

I'm no more evolved than anyone else here, but at least I understand how argument works.

"If you lead, they will follow"
