1) Get a job?
2) Don't get kicked in 2 days
3) Huh?
4) 8000 coins

If you can't afford .8 BTC what in the actual fuck are you doing in crypto. You know stock trading sites require $500 to open an account right? #fuckingasshatsIswear.

so I guess this arrogance is what everyone can expect when he pays the 0.8 BTC to join your chat? Thanks for showing the true colors of your ARCH "community"!

I'll let everyone decide for themselves.
Case closed for me.

You asked the following question what can I do If I can't pay the entrance fee for XY place?

I answered: get a job

Want me to sugarcoat my answer? How?

Let me rephrase it.

You want to get into a nightclub and the entrance fee is 10$.

You have 9$.

You think they are going to let you in?

This is a club, you can daytrade with less than 8000 Arch's and you will can hang around on the IRC with 0 Arch, but you won't enjoy the features of Arch.

How is this rude?
1667  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] ARCHcoin [ARCH] – The Profit Network - Discussion thread on: October 08, 2014, 05:53:01 PM
If you want to be included in the real discussion, just collect 8000 coins and stake them in your wallet.

and what if I can only afford to buy 7000 ARCH? Am I fucked and can ask my crystal ball about my investment?

At current market rate that's almost 0.8 BTC!!

1) Get a job?
2) Don't get kicked in 2 days
3) Huh?
4) 8000 coins

Forgot my meme sorry:

1668  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] ARCHcoin [ARCH] – The Profit Network - Discussion thread on: October 08, 2014, 05:35:11 PM
I'll spam the thread full of useless memes since OP doesn't understand that BTCarchitect locked the thread because everyone should avoid BCT completely since it's filled with paid puppets.

1669  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Where the Heck is the ArchCoin thread??? on: October 08, 2014, 05:31:44 PM
It is not a FREEDOM at all.

"HE" owns this cion/shares whatever not "WE"

and

"HE" owns this threat  not "WE"

you got no voice, what you can do just pay him and be quiet

This isn't a full community coin like BTCD or whatever.

This coin will serve to fulfill his investment ideas, that was clear from start.

If you have problems with it sell ur ARCH, you are still in profit if you joined on the ICO.

Developer Announcement -- BlockChain Issues/Shitstorm

All our sincere apologies for the delayed response we are currently in contact with a million people at once trying to sort the shitstorm out and have not had a chance yet to reply on bitcointalk. We are cyptography and cryptocurrency enthusiasts and were contacted by a developer to help create a coin, whom has duped everyone, we are very angered by this and will be doing a hardfork and changing everything over to our control, here is what's happened/going to happen.

  • We have changed all the credentials to github, etc.
  • We have been scambling to contact everyone including exchanges and reported the address of the person who did the exploit (he used 1 single address for everything).
  • There will be a hardfork announced where everything ALL ALERT KEYS, SYNC KEYS, etc. will be back under our control.
  • The roadmap will be posted as planned

Again our sincere apologies, the coin has a slightly larger supply now yes, but we have reported the address of the attacker to exchanges and the funds have been frozen, these coins are going to be removed from circulation and have not been dumped. We have not seen any evidence of any mass dumping, props to the exchanges for detecting and stopping the attack.

There will be many more updates to follow as the situation progresses please keep an eye on the OP and thread for more announcements.

So you are admitting that you aren't really a Dev at all, because you didn't actually develop this code or you would have known about the exploit before it happened.

No, you're a mere frontman pushing code from someone else. It sounds good in theory, someone with a decent PR talent hiring someone else to make a codebase and then they promote the results, but unless you know and trust the developer you hired this kind of thing can happen.

Sorry, seeing another situation where the 'dev' is just a frontman and nobody knows who the real dev is makes for a highly suspicious situation to me. My vote is that this coin is delisted permanently from bittrex, and that you are barred from ever promoting a coin again.

Implying he is good at PR. Alltogether 10 messages on the ANN which are PGP signed (so pointless) and not a single message while the fudstorm and roller coaster was going on yesterday.

so the best you can do is move on.

Maybe you should follow your own advice!
Apparently you have no ghostcoins, so wtf are you doing here other then playing the wise guy who knows it all so perfectly?
Your "input" doesnt bring anything good for all the bagholders, you are only bringing concerns and that is not what community and devs are waiting for at this moment

I wanted to stay here and to raise legit questions to the dev who according to himself has nothing to do with the malicious code but is a REAL DEVELOPER.

Also further believing in this dev would just give you false hope and a bigger fall after it.
1672  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][GHOST] GhostCoin | X11 | PoW + PoS | Live! on: October 08, 2014, 09:30:26 AM
You guys really think that the dev can code, but he forked a coin that had a scam code built in?

I am terribly sorry for you since he probably bought the coin and got scammed by the actual dev (and can't write a single line of code himself) or he tried to scam you all but couldn't make money of it so now he tries to play the good guy.

Who in their right mind would fork a coin by accident which has malicious code built in?

Keep believing because you hold bags, you'll get scammed again. If a market opens there will be no buy support anyway, so the best you can do is move on.
1673  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][GHOST] GhostCoin | X11 | PoW + PoS | Live! on: October 08, 2014, 08:25:53 AM
U said 2 scenarios and suggested 3

Sorry, edited.

But those 3 pretty much sum up most scenarious which could have happened.

Not sure who could believe this dev after all this.

Developer Announcement -- Fixing the BlockChain

We want to thank everyone in the community for staying strong during this ordeal, we have been working to fix this nonstop and have spoken at length with ritchie, we have come up with a preliminary plan that will fix the issues with the coin.

  • Everything will be starting fresh with us in full control, including a new github, explorer, sync and alert keys.
  • The new github will contain an initial commit the same as the current as well as a commit with the fix so that everyone can see it, again we want to thank ocminer for discovering this after a lot of prodding we have discovered the if statement that was missing and will correct this issue.
  • Following the fix we will commit all of the new alert and sync checkpoint keys, followed by a change to alter the PoW height and set the coin to pure PoS after the rollback prior the exploit being abused.
  • Following the rollback commit there will be a hardfork commit after which everything will be thoroughly tested on testnet, once the change is stable a date for the hardfork will be set.

We want to thank everyone again for hanging in there through these issues, we have been talking with ritchie at length and we all agree that this is the best course of action.

There are 3 scenarios:

1) you have copy pasted a scam coin and have no clue how to code so you couldn't fix it (why not copy paste a proper one?)

2) you have no clue how to code, wanted to scam and copy pasted a shitcoin, didn't get any $ from the scam since bittrex froze and now you want a legit coin

3) you paid for a coin (and the real dev altered the code) and you still have no clue how to code and got scammed also.

Tell me please if I have missed any options?

This is the proof for you guys, look at the last block...

https://ghost.suprnova.cc/index.php?page=statistics&action=blocks

In IRC (#bittrex) merx pointed out that the Check for the POW blocks has been removed from the code, so you could mine blocks of any size you want..

I've tried to mine a giant block by modifiying some stratum code and as you can see - it worked.

The dev probably removed the amount checks from the code - personally I don't think it was a "flaw" from the dev, as this code usually is always in place in every fork of a coin.. So either the Dev is lying or he forked a coin that was a scam already..

Sorry for building confidence guys, i've also got scammed with this coin as I've also invested some coins and hash here, I feel very bad.

Not your fault tho, you mostly avoud coins that smell at start.

This had an enorm hash and popularity.

According to altcoinity, this has similar methods to USB. It's a scam, lucky im out since an hour. LOL
1680  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][GHOST] GhostCoin | X11 | PoW + PoS | Live! on: October 07, 2014, 02:03:26 PM
I repeat my question.
Did someone check source code? We have experience with cheating at "official block explorer" early, can't remember coin name, if someone remember please post.

I'm not interested in FUD, just interesting about source code.

IIRC Ocminer set up a block explorer. I was in class, I will look into the source now and find ocminer's explorer.

Yes it is still here:

http://blocks.suprnova.cc:2255/

I've tried to get it added to the OP but the Dev did not add it (yet).

The Block Explorer from the Dev probably only counts POW blocks

That link seems broken?

Try again, it's currently getting hammered... Only a small and old server its running on

But the source is clean right?

It's simply a POW+POS hybrid.
