Smiley
1662  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: Meinung zu unserem Telegramm-Kanal :D on: February 27, 2023, 11:36:26 PM
Hey!

Smiley
1663  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Survey regarding our Bitcoin Blockexplorer topic on: February 26, 2023, 11:11:27 PM
I was thinking that, maybe, for users to have even a more clear view about the purpose of this survey -- would it be better if we also add the pros and cons (debated in the other topic) to OP? Thus users would understand better the uses (and lack of uses) of "hover" format and, as a plus, maybe some will take a look and the table from the other topic and see how it fits their screens now...?
I have linked in my OP, at least for question 1 and question 3, who brought up the suggestion (Gazeta Bitcoin for question 1 and SFR10 for question 3) and voters can follow the link to read the discussion but question 2 was simply a result of our discussion in general.
Maybe you have an idea, which reply I could link in question 2 but I beleive when reading the 2 linked suggestions in question 1 and question 3, it should be a good explanation already.  Smiley
1664  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Survey regarding our Bitcoin Blockexplorer topic on: February 26, 2023, 07:05:19 PM
It seems you did not understand exactly what you are voting for. And, as a consequence, your vote is contradictory. You can't have "Comments" column kept together with using "hover" format. It's either one or the other.

I don't see why we couldn't have a "Comments" column along with a hover box.
Sure, it's a possible option.
Depending on the outcome, we'll set up a new survey to have a runoff vote if we should include a comment column and / or a hover feature.
But I don't believe it's very useful to have a separate comment column and a hover feature.
However, decision is up to Bitcointalk members.  Smiley

To use your example, I had something like this in mind when I voted:

...

This way, I can see the comments column and read the comment in its entirety when I hover.
That's also an option and I'll include it in a possible runoff survey.

BTW, @1miau, why not rename the "Usefulness (subjective rating)" column to "Rating (subjective)"?
Interesting suggestion and I'm in favor of it.
When re-arranging my table, I'll consider it.  Smiley
1665  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Survey regarding our Bitcoin Blockexplorer topic on: February 26, 2023, 04:55:50 PM
Basically the topic you mention is not fully displaying because it's too large (to me at least, zoom 125%).
That's why we try to save some space.  Wink

Thinking about it, dates in the Bech32 and SegWit columns could be removed (because not so usefull).
Good idea, mabye we can do this next in case we need more space.

So, What are the factors to determine that level?
Blockchair has a detailed explanation for it but I don't know how accurate their privacy evaluation tool really is.
In addition, it depends on what mixer you've used.

Could you include columns for
- Privacy score
- Lightning network stats/ charts
- Information about mining pools, hashrate distributions.
Privacy scaore would be interesting but as most Blockexplorers don't offer it, most of the column might be "No". Maybe we can add it in the comments?
Lightning network stats might also have very little support among block exporers. I would like to recommend my Bitcoin statistics list instead, where many Lightning statistics are listed: List of interesting Bitcoin statistics. Information about mining pools, hashrate distributions are listed in my statistics topic as well.  Smiley

Why do we need to re-adjust the rating when Blockchair already has the highest rating?
Because some members brought it up to re-evaluate the rating and we decided to ask the community.
I don't know if there's support to increase Blockchair's rating, so I've cretaed a survey.  Smiley

Personally, I prefer to focus on aspects of privacy and UI, as it is the most important information for users, with the addition of a link to user experiences, which are new topics for each explorer through which each individual leaves his personal experience.
Good idea, maybe people suggesting a new Blockexplorer could write a few more lines to describe why they've nominated it.

Many thanks everyone for your votes so far.  Smiley
1666  Economy / Reputation / Re: Abuse of negative trust – mr.relax on: February 26, 2023, 04:10:22 PM
The system is for handling trade risk, not for flagging people for good/bad posts/personalities/ideas.

You might want to inform GazetaBitcoin about that aswell, but I suppose that doesn't apply when it's party members.  Smiley
Huh, is it trolling time again?
Your negative trust from GazetaBitcoin is well deserved because trading with you might be high risk for your trading partner as you're completely clueless or just outright evil to go for exposing other people's privacy.
It's very shady to act like you did, in addition to your other potential and even proven abuses (protecting a scammer).
And you should stop writing from your alt account, it's ridiculous already.  Cheesy

Yes this is an alt account ( from what I'm seing having a beef with GazetaBitcoin is enough enough to be marked as a scammer and Trust to be nuked), no I am not saxydev, though I am from the same region as him and OP so I did follow their beef in the regional threads aswell, here's my 2 cents though:

Writing from an alt account to defend a scammer has never worked out and is a known pattern used by trolls, scammers and abusers!
Please stop embarrassing yourself.  Cheesy

And as LoyceV already said, it's off topic here. You have your troll topic already, where you can write fake accusations and defend scammers but please don't derail my topic with your off-topic troll spam posts...
1667  Economy / Reputation / Re: Abuse of negative trust – mr.relax - Flag #3117 added! on: February 25, 2023, 11:59:53 PM
As people seem to be willing to support a flag (even if they are hesitant to actually create one), I have taken the liberty of creating a flag against mr.relax

Please support this flag: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;flag=3117
I'm happy that you've been looking into the issue and also distrusted him but I'm not sure if his abuse really justifies a type 1 (Newbie) flag. Yes, he did some shady and misleading things but he didn't request any money. For what he did, I've added a neutral trust on his account as a neutral trust is currently our lightest measure to act after an abuse has happened.
In addition, the issue of mr.relax is also DT related because he abused negative trust, he doesn't know what's neutral trust (at least it seems so, when he called it "bad trust") and just has shown to be lacking any knowledge about DT.
That's why I've went with a neutral trust and distrusted him (~mr.relax).

And nice to see mr.relax now being distrusted by 5 new members.  Smiley
1668  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏁🏎️ Sportsbet.io🏁 FORMULA 1 2023 Season🏁🏎️Prediction Pool Discussion Thread on: February 25, 2023, 11:31:37 PM
After missing last year's pool and as promised already, I'm also joining here.  Smiley
I'll be sending my tx details to CLS63 on Sunday or Monday.

Many thanks for organizing our pool, CLS63 and also many thanks for a very generous sponsorship, Steve and Sportsbet.io!
I'm sure, we'll get at least 20 participants to have an even bigger pool (+ participation fees), so predicting should get even more interesting.

It is not difficult, while it is completely different from soccer betting let me give you a few insights as so you don't come up last.First of all you need to put your predictions before the official qualifying starts, usually on Saturday afternoon, this way you will get the Early Brew Points which are 2.
I've not participated last round but couldn't it also be a strategy to wait until qualifying is over to make a better prediction?
We won't get any Early Brew Point but possibly get a better prediction?
Sometimes, later in the season, teams are also taking engine penalties (affecting starting grid) which are announced over the weekend mostly before qualifying but sometimes also after qualifying.

1669  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: ⚽Bitcointalk Bundesliga Tippspiel 2022/2023 - sponsored by Betnomi⚽ on: February 25, 2023, 10:53:51 PM
Ab nun schaue ich hier vorbei, bevor ich wette.  Cheesy

1670  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Survey regarding our Bitcoin Blockexplorer topic on: February 25, 2023, 10:40:59 PM
You can't have "Comments" column kept together with using "hover" format. It's either one or the other. Perhaps, seeing how "hovering" format looks like will help you understand the situation better:
Well, we still can keep the comment column and also add hover format but of course, it wouldn't make sense at all and be in opposition to our overal goal to save space to add PrivacyG's suggestion, too.
If our survey will have outcomes "remove comment section - NO" and "add hover format - YES", we'll simply do a runoff election to solve any contradictions.  Smiley
Right now, 5 people have voted.  Smiley

1miau, for avoiding contradictory votes in the future (or, at least, for trying to limiting them as much as possible), perhaps it would be a good idea to add in OP of this survey the table from SFR10? At least, users would see with their eyes the possible change of the table, since there are low chances for having everybody reading all posts made inside this thread or inside the other one...
Done, I've added SFR10's quote in my OP.
Hopefully, people will check it before voting.  Smiley
1671  Economy / Reputation / Re: Abuse of negative trust – mr.relax on: February 25, 2023, 10:29:35 PM
In addition, we also have flags now, which are even more unknown to some of our uninterested / shitposting forum members.
Ugh, those flags.  Just my unsolicited opinion here, but those just complicate an already byzantine system of trust feedback.
...
Agreed, trust flags are even more confusing.
And as you've said: an overly complicated system will be used less, for example when a member has been scammed (type 2 and 3 flag) but doesn't know how to proceed.

Maybe displaying trust for everyone (no need to be logged it) and in every section would be a better idea?
I would also be in support of it, to remove flags completely and re-introduce a warning message under the trust score "Warning, trade with extreme caution", as it has been handled previously.
Flags are much more complicated but sure, for our current DT flag selections + DT trust feedback we have more options to apply for scammers and different abuses.
1672  Economy / Reputation / Re: Abuse of negative trust – mr.relax on: February 25, 2023, 08:50:50 PM
I don't know how decentralized it really is, but IMO the DT system is much worse than it used to be even if only because so many barely-known members make it onto the list, and I'm not so sure that's a good thing.  At least before the system was extremely strict and it was hard to get on even DT2, much less DT1; now it's a free-for-all.  That's why I've cleared out my trust list entirely and don't pay attention to any of it anymore.
The biggest problem causing DT issues are laziness and a lack of education about the DT system in general.
When it comes to a lack of education about the DT system, we have several abusers here:
- People being active on various platforms / barely active members. Such members only write a few dozen comments per year and most of them don’t know much about specific rules on Bitcointalk – let alone DT and DT standards.
- Quite a bunch of members here are just active on Bitcointalk to earn a few bucks from signature campaigns and a green trusted account looks much better to get accepted into a campaign (or a better paying one). They don’t really care for DT standards and just want to push their accounts.
- Lazy uneducated trolls
- Outright scammers

In addition, we also have flags now, which are even more unknown to some of our uninterested / shitposting forum members.
So, yes: a bigger degree of decentralization is prone to get abused but I would consider the benefits to be much more valuable for the community overally.
People just need to be educated on how DT works before giving out feedbacks…
And DT members should distrust abusers quickly.

The feedback given here by mr.relax does look to be a misuse of the trust system, but even if I were inclined to ~ him, it'd take more than one wrongly-given feedback to move my hand.  That was true for Vod and/or Lauda (can't remember) when one or both started a pattern of bad trust page paint jobs.  Anyone can screw up once or twice, but that doesn't mean they should be bumped off of DT at the drop of a hat, you know?
Since mr.relax has also left a neutral trust for GazetaBitcoin, where he claims GazetaBitcoin would have left a "bad trust" for him (which is not true because it's just neutral), he's showing that he's quite clueless about DT and in my opinion, people being unfit for DT should be distrusted immediately to keep DT as clean as possible.
If he's willing to learn about DT and apologizes for his abuse, maybe it would be an option to stop distrusting him.

I'm always open to review DT issues when people are admitting their mistakes.
1673  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: List of useful Bitcoin block explorers on: February 25, 2023, 08:02:11 PM
Thank you for taking your time and creating this survey, 1miau! I already made my vote. It seems I was the first one, hehe.
I've voted now, too and currently, 4 people have voted already.  Smiley

Needless to say, those which will vote to keep "Comments" column must also vote against having comments "hover" format and vice-versa (I hope there will not be contradictory votes).
Indeed, I have addressed the issue in our survey topic and in case of a very unlikely occurence of outcomes we could arrange a runoff vote.

We also need to specify how long our poll will be running.

I believe that 14 days are more than enough for having a good image of what voters want to see changed / kept in the table from OP.
Once again, great job!
I agree here, 14 days are a very fair and generous time for our survey.  Smiley
1674  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Survey regarding our Bitcoin Blockexplorer topic on: February 25, 2023, 07:39:13 PM
Thank you, 1miau, for keeping your topic updated and in good shape! Thank you as well for this survey! I think it will help improving the overall aspect of the table containing all block explorers.
I hope so and I believe it will improve our table overally.  Smiley

Regarding the other two questions, I suggest to voters to read them well and choose their votes in a non-contradictory manner: practically, those voting for removing "Comments" section should not vote with "No" at third question and those voting for keeping "Comments" section should not vote with "Yes" at third question.
Yes, it's recommended to consider our votes properly but whatever outcome will be voted, we can proceed.
There's a only a small possibility how we can end up having a messy outcome, for example if the following options will win:

- Remove "comments" column from our table - No
AND
- Include comments in "hover format" - Yes

But I don't expect it to happen.
Even if it does, we could arrange a runoff vote.  Cheesy

I just wanted to make sure that all voters understand what they will be voting, as probably not all of them followed the discussion from the other thread.

It seems that I am one of those voters. I voted for keeping "Comments" section and with "Yes" at third question because I would like to see them using "hover" format.  Smiley
Many thanks for your vote!
In case we'll get the outcome from above, we'll do a runoff vote if comments should be added as a column (since remove as a column- NO) has won or if comments should be included as hover format.

Regarding the first question, what does a block explorer need to get a perfect score of 10/10? If we consider that Blockchair is currently the best option available, I might give it a 9/10 because, let's face it, nothing is perfect, but it is the closest to it.
It's a really difficult question and that's also why this column contains (subjective rating  Tongue) because it's up to everyone to rate it who suggested a certain Block explorer.
In general, it's really difficult to determine which rating is 100% justified because some of us might like Blockexplorer 1, and some of us might go for Blockexplorer 2 instead.
1675  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: List of useful Bitcoin block explorers on: February 25, 2023, 03:46:31 PM
Dear "List of useful Bitcoin block explorers" contributors!

Our survey is now up and everyone is invited to vote!
People can select up to 8 answers because I don't see a better option to put such a poll into one topic (otherwise we would would need seeral topics, making it very messy).

Plz vote here: Survey regarding our Bitcoin Blockexplorer topic
You can also leave a comment / suggestion / advertisement for any of the options.  Cheesy

We also need to specify how long our poll will be running.
My favorite is 14 days.  Smiley

1676  Other / Beginners & Help / Survey regarding our Bitcoin Blockexplorer topic on: February 25, 2023, 03:41:12 PM
After a few suggestions of Bitcointalk members in our topic "List of useful Bitcoin block explorers" here in "Beginners & Help", how to improve our table, we are going to hold a survey, where everyone can vote.
We'll change our table accordingly because we want to honor valuable input from Bitcointalk members.

He are all questions:

Question 1

Blockchair is curently rated at 8/10 points in our table. Because Blockchair is a very good explorer, there have been suggestions to increase Blockchair's rating.
Should it be increased or is 8/10 an appropriate rating?
At how much points Blockchair should be rated?

- Rating from Blockchair Bitcoin Block Explorer 7 points?
- Rating from Blockchair Bitcoin Block Explorer 8 points?
- Rating from Blockchair Bitcoin Block Explorer 9 points?
- Rating from Blockchair Bitcoin Block Explorer 10 points?
(suggested by GazetaBitcoin)

Question 2

Because our comment section in our table is very large (and not really useful), some members suggested to remove the section from our table.

- Remove "comments" column from our table - Yes
- Remove "comments" column from our table - No
(suggested by several members)

Question 3

In addition to question 2, we could instead dislay comments by using SFR10's hover format visualization. It's helpful but it won't display on Bitcointalk's mobile version.
You'll find his suggestion here.

It would look like that:

  • We can create a hover box by using the abbreviation tag in order to combine the "Usefulness and Comments" columns.
    - Comments will appear whenever they hover their mouse pointer over each of the ratings.

e.g. this is the result for the row that has the longest comment:

Name (link)Bech32 / Bech32m (P2TR) supported?SegWit (P2SH) identifiable?*Usefulness (subjective rating) TongueWorks without JSRated by
_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
BitInfoChartsYes (09/2022) / No (11/2022)No (09/2022)7 / 10 PointsPartially**ajiz138

Should we implement such a feature?

- Include comments in "hover format" - Yes
- Include comments in "hover format" - No
(suggested by SFR10)

Plz, vote @everyone.  Smiley
We are very happy to receive your votes.
You can also leave a comment here or garner support for one of the options.  Wink
1677  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Help Bitcoin help Ukraine! on: February 25, 2023, 02:46:55 PM
What are your best advises to Ukrainians for their coins, wallets and backups?
That's a good question!
I'm not an Ukrainian but my expectation would be that coins should be as portable as possible, especially for people living near the front. They could quickly put their coins in their backpack if they needed to flee. Of course, we won't hope that they need to flee because it would also mean that they would possibly lose many of their other properties at home. A paper wallet (generated offline) or a Hardware wallet could be a good choice in case you need to flee. Maybe they can store a small amount of their coins on a phone or laptop for possible expenses in Bitcoin but I would expect, cash could be more suitable in such a situation.
Bitcoin is mostly a good way to store / transfer a large amount of value in that case above.
Regarding destroyed homes, it might also make sense to have an additional backup elsewhere. I could imagine that making a copy of your private key / seed, putting it in a box resistant against rain, cutting it in half and burying in a lone forest, where no one will detect it, is a good idea as well. But we select such a place carefully and keep in mind, where it's buried.
And such a backup would need to be highly resistant against rain etc. for a long time, so we would need some sort of safe box, too.

Which coins?
Of course, Bitcoin would be my best choice. Bitcoin is less volatile compared to Altcoins and Bitcoin can be stored on many wallets, which are proven to be secure.
And if there's a cryptocurrency accepted somewhere or available to be exchanged into cash, it's most likely Bitcoin.

If you have any questions about cryptocurrencies in Ukraine, you can ask them to me,I will be happy to answer. Wink
Many thanks for your offer!
Maybe you have some additional input to the question from UchihaSarada what you would recommend Ukrainians in regards of coins, wallets and backups.

1678  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Help Bitcoin help Ukraine! on: February 25, 2023, 03:34:39 AM
That is exactly what is happening, it is a war of the United States and allies with Russia. Ukraine is just a stele, a pawn on the political chessboard between the world's 2 No. 1 nuclear powers. I know what is happening in Ukraine is cruel, but don't just blame Putin, but remember that the United States is still the most beneficial person in this war.
That's exactly not what's happening, please do some educated research before leaving such a bold comment.
Putin wants to re-build imperialistic Russia, he has said it himself in the speech before invading Ukraine. In that speech, Putin has denied Ukraine any rights to be a sovereign state and he has announced thet he wants to force Ukraine to get part of Russia.
Since Ukraine doesn't want to be part of Russia and it's very obvious now that Putin is a war criminal, Putin tries to shift blame for the invasion which he started himself and Putin tries to blame now Ukraine, EU, USA, NATO, United Kingdom, the baltic states, everyone to be at fault for the invasion, that Russia has launched, LOL Cheesy
All we need for this unnecessary war to end, is Putin to withdraw his troops, which he illegally sent into Ukraine 1 year ago and which are destroying Ukraine every day.

Did you even bother to read the well-researched article from Alex Gladstein?
I guess not because what would we expect from a Shitposter advertising the 1xbit scam site?  Cheesy

Leipzig played draw with City, while Frankfurt lost against Napoli at home, and they are playing each-other in Bundesliga, should be an easy win for Leipzig?
Nkunku is back for Leipzig, maybe he could be a factor but I wouldn't underestimate Frankfurt. After Frankfurt's loss against Napoli, Frankfurt could try to focus more on Bundesliga and defeating Leipzig would get Frankfurt into a better position to secure a Champions Leage qualification sport for next season.

can Dortmund win Bundesliga this season, they are in huge winning strike since WC, odds @8.5 feels worth a try
For sure, Dortmund has a realistic chance to win the title but we should not forget that Bayern finished already some games, where it faced strong opponents, for example Leipzig. Dortmund is still facing Leipzig and that's also affecting odds.

Surprisingly on Friday evening, Mainz has won 4-0 against Gladbach, who defeated Bayern last week. Gladbach has been pretty inconsistent that season.  Huh

Well, do it.
Empty words are meaningless.
And if it's not your second alt (which we could expect from your Clown show), we'll honor that.

It must be very late in Romania right now. Maybe you want go to bed now and (what a coincidence), Rizzrack is still up as well. How late is it in Romania?  Wink

I'd honestly keep going but don't see it making any sense at this point. I mean you're clearly sticking up with your "pal", fun fact,
Honestly, I didn't ready anything from you and your scammers friends for a whole week or even longer since my questions haven't been addressed in the other topic.
I've noticed the new scam accusation against saxydev just recently, where he scammed c0ldbrewz and I didn't had much time to re-read everything, so it took me a while to reply here but make no mistake: I'll watch you and call out your bullshittery, when it happens right away.

noticed some similarities whenever Gazeta goes after someone, weirdly enough you follow him, must be just a coincidence.
"Whenever"?  Cheesy Cheesy
Can you point out, where else did it happen?
Or did you log into the wrong account to write that comment?  Cheesy
Or are you just delusional?

But hey, since you guys have clearly no problem with extortion and blackmail,  doing your little troll show isn't probaby even 10 % of what you're capable off.
Yes, it doesn't take much investigative effort to debunk your obvious bullshit.  Smiley

So bye, at least for now, probably gona have to respond to NewsletterTabloid's next period tantrum.
Yes, go to bed in time, 8 minutes difference to Rizzrack, well done!
It's been late in Romania, hasn't it?  Cheesy
