861  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: ⚽Bitcointalk Bundesliga Tippspiel 2023/2024 sponsored by sportsbet.io⚽ on: August 23, 2023, 09:28:20 PM
Smiley
862  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: Crypto mixer on: August 23, 2023, 09:18:27 PM

863  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't wait for the bottom without buying in the Dip. on: August 23, 2023, 12:59:21 PM
One thing I have realised in Bitcoin is that when ever we see an opportunity to buy, just do it.
Rumors are that many people from 2019 are still waiting for Bitcoin to drop below 1000 USD.  Cheesy
Jokes aside, looking how Bitcoin has performed over the past years, people waiting to buy the Dip might be quite a lot and it's really sad to imagine how many profits have been missed by waiting too long.
Of course, we can also get lucky to wait for Bitcoin to drop even more but statistically, waiting to buy Bitcoin and hoping for lower prices has been a costly decision, overally.

There is zero.00000000% (not even one Satoshi  Cheesy) chance Trump will spend any time in jail. Please, Learn from history:
"Not even one Satoshi" is a bold statement, so *big doubt*.
Trump has messed up big time. Even his lawyers are leaving the sinking ship, which is a very worrisome defeat for all Trump supporters. Trumps only advantage are his loyal serfs und his big stash of money to cover up his wrongdoings.
So, maybe learn that Trump's risk of getting serious consequences is now higher than never before. But of course it would be the best for Americans to send this grifter into the desert and show him the red card during primaries.

It is very important for us to avoid unnecessary allegations against Trump.
Nope, that's only important for Trump's grifter friends: https://www.businessinsider.com/trump-campaign-reportedly-duped-supporters-donors-recurring-donations-2021-4?op=1
It's very important to hold grifter Trump accountable and get him right into jail.

Quote
The Trump campaign reportedly cheated donors who thought they were making a one-time contribution, collecting recurring donations

Many of these accidental repeat donors believed they were signing up to give a one-time contribution, the New York Times reported.
...
In order to avoid this recurring donation, donors had to manually opt out, the Times said.
Months later, the donation portal added a second pre-checked box. This time, the box automatically directed an additional contribution from the donor in honor of Trump's birthday in June, according to the Times.
LOL  Cheesy

Because you should not speak for everyone else after it's proven very well that Trump is only interested to line up his pockets, to increase his power and just get away with it as the true criminal Trump really is.  Roll Eyes

Every day I keep seeing reasons why sticking to Bitcoin is the best option. I am not moved by any project that is not Bitcoin. It doesn't matter what these new projects offer, I already know it's not better than Bitcoin and the juicier the offer, the tricker the trap.
Of course. So far, no Altcoin has shown to be "better" than Bitcoin. Not a single one in almost 15 years.
Some Altcoins are very famous, have nice design and are good for cheap and fast transaction but there's always an important downside (like security or a lack of decentralisation).

There are good altcoins but it's just not worth it. Knowing which one to bank on and which to avoid is a risk I feel isn't worth it.
Yes and we should also be aware of Shitcoin marketing. Shitcoins are great in marketing, where buzzwords, nice designs and deceiving metrics are presented to push a new cryptocurrency. Because new projects have a big stash of funds for marketing, it's very easy for such projects to deceive people by false marketing.
But if we are aware of it and know about deceiving marketing tricks, we can avoid to fall for it.  Smiley

In opposite, Bitcoin doesn't have a marketing stash. Bitcoin's "marketing" is good tech, decentralisation and a track record of being the original coin. And so far, no Shitcoin has beaten Bitcoin.  Wink

I am counting on another bad streak... 5L 1D in last 6 games, I suspect 4 more bad games and Bo is in real danger, especially as they should be expected to win a couple of the next few.
Sure, even seemingly "safe" coaches can have a bad streak and we don't know what will happen if Mainz really struggles to score points.
So far, Mainz will face in the next matches:

- Eintracht Frankfurt (H) (important Derby)
- Werder Bremen (A)
- Stuttgart (H)
- Augsburg (A)

These are all games, where Mainz can expect at least a draw and overally bad results in these games could indeed start a coach discussion for Bo Svenson.
If Mainz really hits a bad streak, the only question might be if another team will be faster.  Cheesy Cheesy

869  Local / Trading und Spekulation / Re: Bitcoin vs. Alts 2023 on: August 22, 2023, 10:52:51 PM

Cheesy
870  Local / Trading und Spekulation / Re: Der Aktuelle Kursverlauf on: August 22, 2023, 10:25:02 PM

Cheesy
Also ja: vielleicht nennt man es lieber "Wunschpreise" statt "Prognosen".

871  Economy / Reputation / Re: Haunebu and 3kpk3 - merit system abuse on: August 21, 2023, 09:06:00 PM
Thus, unfortunately, the best way I can see from my position right now is to bow down from this thread until there are more DTs giving their opinion on what to do with Haunebu, and I will adhere to the consensus once it is reached. I will respect whatever tag you're leaving to Haunebu and 3kpk3, though.
I've not decided what to do here as well, maybe my tag will be negative or just neutral and mabye the abusers will be lucky this time because DT doesn't seem to care much about the case. Of course, I reserve the right to leave a tag any time as according to our pinned forum Merit guidelines by hilariousandco, a negative tag for this abuse is "almost certainly leading to you to receive negative feedback if discovered" but we'll see.  Smiley
For now, OP hasn't replied here, especially regarding my question if I should send Haunebu a PM to give him an opportunity to clarify if he is still the original account owner (another possible abuse: buying /selling Bitcointalk Accounts).

I really don't like how Haunebu reacted when he realized he can get away with it and maybe I'll re-consider a tag if there's more evidence presented that he didn't show any guilt for meriting his Alt excessively / no sign at all, that he regrets his abuse.

Thanks cygan! Got the freebets, and promptly placed Wink

Wooow, great round from Sojourner (buwaytress) and lots of points collected. It's quite an impressive result, especially considering that in our local board prediction topic, the best result from this round was 18 points.

Pure beginner's luck. I don't think I've ever got the correct outcome in every single game on a match day either, the draw and Freiburg win seemed logical but you never know. Let's hope I haven't run myself into the ground on this performance!
Well, let's see.  Cheesy
Bundesliga is hard to predict and I'm sure we can be in for surprises. 23 points is a very nice start.  Smiley

BVB look really shaky, but I put Mainz as the first choice to get their manager sacked in the bonus question-- the result helps my case!
Not sure of Mainz here because Bundesliga has a few teams where changing a coach isn't done very often.
Like Freiburg (Christian Streich, since 2012), Union (Urs Fischer, since 2018), and Heidenheim (Frank Schmidt, who achieved 1st league, coach at Heidenheim since 2007).
I would consider Mainz to be close to that group as well and their current coach, Bo Svensson, has been a Mainz player for a very long time.
For him to get sacked, Mainz really needs to have a bad season.
But we never know, of course.  Smiley

Union Berlin was strong, but I doubt that their efficiency will be the same in many games. Turning 6 shots on target into 4 goals doesn't happen everyday. Wink
Union Berlin is always a big surprise. I'm not sure if they can keep their impressive result from last round, especially when playing Champions Leage in addition.
Union is usually very strong at home, while lacking a bit at away games.
874  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine[In Progress] on: August 21, 2023, 06:46:17 PM
But there's a simple way to end this war: Putler goes home and stops his invasion.  Smiley

You seem unable (or unwilling?) to differentiate between a president of a nation deciding to send in his own troops and anticipating losses, and a separate nation anticipating losses for Ukraine and envisioning that those losses would be acceptable if their goals are reached  "U.S., British and Ukrainian militaries anticipated such losses but envisioned Kyiv accepting the casualties as the cost of piercing through Russia’s main defensive line, said U.S. and Western officials."
You seem unable (or unwilling?) to understand the whole situation: on one side, Putin invaded Ukraine and sent his own troops, no matter how many lives will be lost - and on the other side Ukraine who is left between the choice of defending their coutry or getting taken over by Russia, and whoever doesn't kiss Putin's ass will get deported to Siberia (or getting directly send into Putler's ongoing war as cheap cannon fodder, like Putler does with his Donbas Russian speaking Ukrainians, he claimed to "liberate". They are his new cannon fodder to keep his war going...)  Roll Eyes

You will continue to stay in your comfortable state of bewilderment (of orcs and nazis, Russia is just doing land grab, wants erase UA), until you decide to really want to figure out what's going on, how it's playing out, and what outcomes are even possible (fair warning, you'll be disappointment, without the rose glasses world is not a fair place, everyone is fighting dirty and some nations simply just being used to change spheres of influence in the bigger geopolitical game, if president is not strong enough to play both sides).
You will continue to parrot even the biggest nonsense Russian propaganda, because it's very easy in your safe basement to deny Ukrainians any self-defense, to deny Ukrainians any delieveries of weapons to push back Russian orcs, to deny Ukrainians any Patriot systems to shoot down Russian missiles which Putler is deliberately using to bomb Ukrainian civilians every day.
Because Putin trolls like you are safe in their basement and don't get your houses bombed like Putler does with Ukrainians.
You won't be affected in case Putler takes over Ukraine but Ukrainians will be affected.
Keep ignoring the reality that Ukrainians don't want to be enslaved by Putler and keep ignoring the fact that Kremlin trolls like you are complicit for every missile Putler is able to bomb Ukrainian civilians with.  Lips sealed

Smiley

877  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Important to know: Difference Coin / Token and shady marketing practices on: August 21, 2023, 01:57:00 AM
Perhaps you forgot your own topic about altcoins which, in my opinion, is surely helpful if you add it as should-read documents.
It's helpful for sure but as a main purpose of my topic, I wanted to outline the technical differences of coins and tokens. Looks like my article got a bit too detailed, especially my parts "False marketing is deceiving buyers" and "ICO, ITO, Shitcoin and Shittoken".
So, main purpose of my topic was to outline the technical differences of coins and tokens.

Maybe we can create a list of topics about dangers / common mistakes in relation to Altcoins in a new topic.
I've created one more topic about Shitcoins:
Is diversification into different coins really a good advice for Newbies?
Bitcoin vs. Altcoins – projected Marketcap

So, for the sake of accuracy, these products are called "Alttokens" instead of "Altcoins" as long as they are still a token. The popular term for such products would then be "Shittoken" instead of "Shitcoin" accordingly.

Won't the term alttoken imply that there is an original token, much as Bitcoin, a legitimate first one that somehow is fundamentally different than the rest?
Sure, somehow you are right because such a term implies indeed that there's an original (legitimate) "token".  Cheesy
But since tokens (derived from and based on an existing Blockchain platform) are never original, I'm not sure.
Maybe we should just call it "shittoken"?  Cheesy

It is important to note that being a coin and running on a blockchain does not give any extra legitimacy to the project. The developing team can put in a little effort to creating a crap blockchain and investing loads on marketing.
Same might happen to a token. But a coin has more potential if a team is honest and genuinely good in coding. That's why we need to do additional research on top of it.

This is not false advertising cause it is actually a coin but a shitty one.
No, advertising a token as a coin is false advertising if it's technically a token.
That's false marketing by definition. If you buy a pinapple but get an apple, that's not what was advertised...

So, for the sake of accuracy, these products are called "Alttokens" instead of "Altcoins" as long as they are still a token. The popular term for such products would then be "Shittoken" instead of "Shitcoin" accordingly.
In your example it will be tokens and not alttokens, cause there is no top token the way we have Bitcoin and it is not an alternate version.
I am okay lumping them all as shitcoins or altcoins, cause making a distinction makes some look more valuable than the others.
- Jay -
Maybe we can call them "shittoken".  Cheesy

Scammers find it easy to launch a campaign because its easy to create a token and the supply is already created and easily distributed on ICO, for a project being hosted in a chain to prove that they have a use case needs to have a solid roadmap and skilled developers to back up the project, to set them apart from a developer who just created a token to make money.
+1  Smiley

Wooow, great round from Sojourner (buwaytress) and lots of points collected. It's quite an impressive result, especially considering that in our local board prediction topic, the best result from this round was 18 points.

So far, season is starting well for Bayern and Dortmund almost screwed it again. Next round we'll see a clearer tendency where the teams are this season. Leverkusen could be in the mix to compete against Bayern.

For relegation, many teams are at risk this season, especially Heidenheim, Bochum, Darmstadt, Augsburg (and maybe Bremen as well, sorry cygan  Cheesy)
Biggest surprise compared to last season might be Stuttgart. They are playing well and Guirassy is a very good scorer. Of course, Bochum is an easy opponent but Stuttgart is a team to watch in my opinion.
879  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: ⚔️ Game of Thrones ⚔️ Campaign Manager Challenge ⚔️ Round 1 on: August 21, 2023, 01:27:30 AM
Or how is it defined?
Common sense is enough for everyone to know what campaign manager is.
There are few lists of campaign managers people can hire, and they had to maintain more than one campaign.
Common sense is quite difficult to apply for some cases.
Like, how many campaigns does someone need until he is considered a "Campaign Manager"? 20? 25?

And isn't LoyceV a campaign manager as well?
No he is not.
I cant pay him to manage my campaign.
No?  Huh
I'm sure you can pay him to manage your campaign if you pay enough.  Smiley

In addition, I would like to see your topic moved into our Service Discussion board because in my opinion, it's better suited there. Yes, we can win Bitcoin but it's more about service discussion, too, so seeing you topic getting trashed into Games and Rounds here, is a bit sad in my opinion.
Maybe you can move it?  Smiley
I wont move this topic.
This is giveaway and giveaways should not be in Services Discussion.
I am not interesting in talking about services they offer.
Wow, that's very sad to hear. I'm sure it would be great to have an extended discussion around it.
But your topic, your decision.

Lips sealed
