1661  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price with a 4 year cycle? on: October 29, 2022, 06:36:35 PM
After the 2021 bull market, many people predict that 2022 will still continue to hit a new ATH. There were even predictions that said it would hit $200k.

This is how the market makers and whales will create the hype but in reality, they have some other plans, and we are 70 to 80% down when they were saying that we would be at 200K.
Previously I was also excited to hear such news, but now I have learned the lesson of not reacting to such news and speculation which the social media and crypto media houses create and fool the retail investors.
1662  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gambling techniques on: October 29, 2022, 03:51:45 PM
I would like to have you guys speaking about different gambling techniques so that we can exchange knowledge and improve our winning chances.

I'll leave my simple technique here and I'll hope you guys can leave some more!

I often use the stake doubling technique to several games. I normally do this with dice games and if it played correctly its profitable. What you have to do is simply start with a small stake and every time you lose you double your steak until you win. Once you win, you will recover all the amount you lost. This works if you have enough money to keep doubling your bet, so you should do your math and check with how much you should start. It is not infallible but it works.

This technique may make you win many times but what if you keep losing then what will you do? You do not have unlimited money to keep on playing and double the money on every loss. I would suggest that we keep a point that if we keep on losing, we will quit at a certain point otherwise we may lose all of our money in this technique.

Apart from that, i do not know any techniques which can make you win in gambling. It is only luck by which you can make money. The only thing which you can control is to manage your money so that you keep an overall win when you calculate the total wins and losses.

For some reason, we all have concluded that when bull starts and bitcoin price increases, the price of FUN token will increase as well.
Even I think the same and hope that FUN crosses 80 satoshis soon  Tongue  Grin I hope it's not too much I am asking for.
Basically we can't conclude anything overnight, bitcoin is still too far from ATH even though it's always possible to hit ATH again. The price of FUN Token is supposed to increase following the bitcoin price trend, but in any case it really depends on the trader's interest in the market.

A good future is of course expected, but the development must remain consistent and this is a big challenge for any project.

That is a good point. Without consistency in development no project will last for a longer time.
Lets take ETH for example, it's a huge project with consistent developments which is why it's at rank #2.
As long as FUN is integrated with freebitco.in I think there will be developments in place which benefits freebitco.in as well the FUN token project itself.

First of all, do not compare FUN tokens with ETH. Both have totally different use cases and we cannot compare the development in both the coins. As long as freebitco is growing, the fun token price will likely move up. They just need to find more use cases in their gambling site and that's all. I would say that fun token can be accumulated in the current bear market and will give good returns in the bull market.

One suggestion is why not start an hourly faucet for fun tokens on freebitco? Just like they have a faucet for bitcoin, another faucet for FUN token will make a big hype.

27th Match Super 12 Group 1. I am very worried that today's match is not interrupted by rain again. Today's match is an important match for both the teams. Winning the Sri Lankan match is very important. Because Sri Lanka is 1 point behind New Zealand in the points table. Sri Lanka 2point and New Zealand 3 point in the points table. If Sri Lanka can win today's match. Then Sri Lanka will go to the top of the points table

Sri Lanka is looking good in this match. All of the bowlers Maheesh Theekshana ,  Kasun Rajitha , Dhananjaya de Silva has got 1 wicket each and New Zealand is struggling at 24-3. Srilanka should keep the match tight and not lose concentration from here. From New Zealand point of view Glenn Phillips and Daryl Mitchell  needs a big partnership now for at least 70-80 and keep NZ on track.

Earlier i told that Srilanka odds were over 3 before the start of the match and i hope people have bet on Sri Lanka with those odds.

Srilanka lost the early advantage as Phillips scored 104 runs in only 64 runs and put New Zealand back in the match. 167 is a very good score when you know they were 15/3 at the start of the innings. This is a good recovery by the NZ.

Srilanka started this run chase and has lost 3 wickets for 5 runs only. This is an even worse start than we had witnessed before when NZ was batting. I am afraid it is now impossible for Srilanka to win this match. They need someone to play an innings as Phillips played for NZ.

Edit: Srilanka 8 - 4  Shocked
1665  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: October 29, 2022, 04:12:51 AM
Today we have the match between New Zealand and Sri Lanka at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Fortunately the weather prediction is all clear, with no downpours predicted for today. And that will make up for the recent matches that got washed away to some extent. TV broadcasters will be mad at the abandonment of England vs Australia match. This was one of the main attractions in this tournament, and probably the broadcasters suffered a loss of at least $10 million in the form of lost advertising slots.

Today's match between Sri Lanka and New Zealand is equally important for both teams. New Zealand are on the top of the table with 3 points and a win will further strengthen their position. Sri Lanka are at the number fifth position with 2 points however a win for them would mean that they will be at the top of the table. Considering the fact that we never know which matches would be rain effected, this match would be very critical for both teams.

Using NFTs in gambling makes no sense to me because there is no use to for NFT on a gambling platform in the first place, some are saying NFTs can be gifted to gamblers or can make gamblers want to play games on the platform just to win an NFT but how will such NFTs have value? This is why I think it's a bad idea.

Well, NFT and gambling are totally different things, but new gambling sites may offer NFT platforms within the gambling platform. They do this because they think that those who are interested in NFT will come to a gambling site and may gamble also while buying and selling NFTs. Similarly, they will market the NFT by saying that the gambling site is offering value added services like NFT trading, etc. By the way, I am not in favor of getting all the services under one roof (site).
1667  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Countries that are Legal and Illegal in gambling on: October 28, 2022, 01:19:14 PM
-snip-
Lol, this is funny but it explains a lot as to how loopholes and opportunities can be exploited by those who understand business and the risk in opportunities. So long as it is acceptable else where, there are always those that would like to test it or use such services even in a restricted zone and the ability of you to offer such services, on or off records could mint you some real money.

Thank goodness for some on VPN and Crypto casinos and/or sportsbook.  Although, its not usually accepted to operate a gambling site using VPN. Run into trouble of verification or flux of IP address and you would be troubled.

It is a matter of offer and demand and as far as I know gambling has a place within the Japanese culture and within the culture of other Asian countries.
Even in a country where the law is hard enforced, there will be people willing to risk time in prison in order to satisfy the demand for bets and gambling.

And it is obvious most of casinos won't be comfortable with VNP, I assume they keep a register of the ip address their users log in from, in case the law enforcement asks for it, they do not want to get in trouble, translating to the restriction of VPN. In my experience there are some crypto services which do not mind VPN, but it was some time ago and they had nothing to do with gambling...

You cannot stop people from gambling as they will always find the way to gamble and bypass all the restrictions. The government have least control when it comes to the online gambling. Although it may be difficult and risky to access gambling if government has banned it, but still nothing is impossible.

Lot of countries are still on the gray are yet and not fully adopted it that's why it has few countries on the list. Restrictions aren't that bad especially if you want to discipline your people, besides, there are more cons/disadvantages in gambling to what are the good thing a it may brought to an individual...

No one wants to listen to the government's arguments as to why they have ban gambling. Also, I think the government will not have clear views about banning gambling and they will come up with excuses like money laundering etc. People think that it is their right to play gamble and no government should stop them.

Biggest Upset in T20WC - 2022

First of all I would like to humbly say one word for Pakistan team OVER CONFIDENCE . Getting defeated by Zimbabwe is the most humiliating event happened to them after getting their win  snatched  by India.

This is hilarious in my opinion as the important player of the Zimbabwe side named Sikander Raza was not at all productive today. I was accepting Pakistan to win this match but as always they are dependent on the opening pair.

Getting into semifinals is no more easy for Pakistan after what happened today. This defeat should make the Pakistani side understand that all mighty will never help you unless you work on the basic.

What an amazing moment is for the Zimbabwe team. They were an underdog but after this win they have become a contender to win this tournament.

I would not say that the Pakistan team was overconfident, I think they were depressed because they were denied the victory the other day against India when the umpires awarded the match to India, and this hurt the motions of the players.
Now in order to qualify for the semi finals, they needed to win all their matches and this created an extra pressure on us in the match against Zimbabwe. Also sometimes Pakistan players does not play well against small teams and make small target difficult for them. It was a bad day for Pakistan cricket but then it is still better to lose than to win by cheating like the Indian team.

Winning and losing is a part of the game but if you and your team take India too much on thier nerves, you wll never be able to come out of this shell.

Pakistan lost to Zimbabwe and it was indeed not expected from this team. Maybe you will not qualify further and this might be the end of your journey for this year's T20 world cup, but for god sake try to learn from your mistakes. If your team thinks like this and keep thier ego, you're never going to learn from the mistakes which Pakistan made which lead them to this situation.
1669  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Solana be the next Ethereum??? on: October 28, 2022, 07:49:21 AM
I don't think solana will be able to replace Ethereum. Even though solana is a favorite among some investors, that doesn't mean it will be able to replace Ethereum. As we know that there have been many other altcoins trying to become the next Ethereum but none of them have been successful till now.

There are many coins that come into the market with the slogan to replace Ethereum and they are nowhere near reaching the market cap and popularity of Ethereum. Though we never heard such a statement from Solana team that it is a Ethereum killer but still Solana is much better than other coins in the market. But we cannot compare the more decentralized Ethereum network with the centralized Solana blockchain. People would not trust Solana as much as they trust the Ethereum network because Solana is not decentralized and due to this, we had some issues with its blockchain in the recent past.
1670  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: October 28, 2022, 07:18:56 AM
there was a prediction of rain in Pakistan and India match too. But the match was won by India
I think this rain prediction creates so much uncertainty. And I am sure they might be affecting the mind and moral of the the players too.

First of all, the timeline was shifted because of reasons related to COVID pandemic. That is the reason why we are having the tournament in October-November. Ideally in Australia, the cricket season is December-February. But another reason why we are getting many more incidents of rain interruption is due to climate change. And so far ICC has ignored this issue. One solution would be to have stadiums with retractable roof. But due to cost concerns, none of the national boards have taken up this issue seriously.

International Cricket Council - has poor selection and poor management. They are all concerned about the rain issue, but no reserve match days have been scheduled. It was a total disaster in terms of planning and execution. An important tournament like World Cup, this should have reserve days in case of rainy days. This World Cup has provided so many thrilling matches, but the rain hasn't allowed it to do anything more. Feeling so sad, and disappointed that Afghanistan did not play a single game!

Today's match between Ireland and Afghanistan is also canceled due to rain.  This has led to a strange situation at the points table. Since Afghanistan's back 2 back matches were washed out because of rain, they stand last in the group. How unlucky for the Afghanistan team.
Ireland got one point from this match and the rain already help them with the previous game with England. This takes them to the number two team in the points table so far.
This is all because of mismanagement and no plans on how to deal with rain affected matches.

A disappointing match and worst performance by Pakistani players and yes one word to describe this is Over Confidence.  They were not prepared and performed horribly. Didn't expect this from Pakistani team,  balling side of Pakistan was ok but batting wise Pakistani batsman failed to hit any good shots.  Apart from Shan Masood no other player scored any runs. Zimbabwe well done and keep it up ,well played.
This match was a huge nightmare for Pakistan. Totally disappointing I saw the performance from Pakistan's batsmen. The Zimbabwe batsmen batted aggressively early, but the Pakistani bowlers bowled brilliantly after the powerplay and prevented Zimbabwe from scoring big. Pakistani batting is heavily dependent on Babar Azam and Rezwan. If they both fail to score then Pakistan will struggle to save the match. The first two matches of this World Cup are very disappointing for Pakistan. Now they have a tough equation to think about if they want to go to the semi-finals.

Pakistan has played two matches in the world cup till now and lost both. The main reason for their loss was almost o runs scored by their openers Rizwan and Babar. If we see the previous series where Pakistan played well against England and also in the Asia cup was their openers who always gave them a platform for the middle order to build on. In this WC, both the openers failed to score runs and it exposed their whole batting line up.

Now coming back to their chances of reaching the Semi finals are really slim. Not only do they have to win all remaining matches at a high rate but also India needs to beat South Africa in the upcoming match. When you depend upon other teams results to qualify, this means there are other better teams who deserve to go ahead in the tournament.
1672  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: October 27, 2022, 07:10:28 PM
If we fixate on price movements that are still stuck in the circle of $19K - $20K or $20K - $19K, it will make us bored and very easily influenced by the situation.

Yes, much better to be hot and heavy over $10k massive dip and then whipping ourselves into a frenzy to $25k before middling ourselves in a seesaw between that range for the next year or so, right?

But if consolidation and sideways are going to make us bored and "easily influenced", maybe Bitcoin isn't for us?
You are right buwaytress. If we are easily influenced, then Bitcoin is not for us.

Bored. A word with five letters, but can cost us forever.
hold. Four letters that make us smile happily.

That's a picture for those of us who currently have Bitcoin assets.
I don't really care about the current Bitcoin price because the current Bitcoin market situation allows me to get some positives. The positive thing I get is that I don't have much time to spend looking at price charts.

Those who think that a sideways market is boring; they will never make money in crypto. This is the consolidation phase of the market where big players accumulate their positions to gain maximum profit in the bull run. If we think in a way like whales, we will be thankful for the market to move to the lowest support level for us to take positions.
1673  Economy / Speculation / Re: There will be more down - bearish on BTC on: October 27, 2022, 06:35:10 PM
Market doesn't need any momentum, as long as everyone are buying Bitcoin and no countries ban Bitcoin, I can expect Bitcoin price would make new ATH every year or two year and it doesn't need until halving event happen.

Do you really think next year the market will recover? Western economy isn't in good condition and inflation rate is increase, we might see a real disaster on the next year. But there's nothing wrong if you want to accumulate Bitcoin right now.

You have a mixture of opinions here. At one point you are saying that bitcoin will create ATH every year or two while on the other hand, you are asking whether bitcoin will recover because of the bad conditions for the financial markets. Well, I think that bitcoin will follow its cycle, and the next all time high will be after the next halving.

Currently, bitcoin follows stocks and overall economic conditions of the global markets, i hope one day bitcoin will be decoupled from all these and pump & dump of its own without external factors affecting its price.

Good that you got the investigation completed in quick time.

However, i would suggest or request that if the information provided is not sensitive and private, can you make public what was required and what data did  @seoincorporation's investigation produced? Maybe it would be helpful for others to know what detailed information can we get from bscscan and etherscan.io ?
1675  Other / Archival / Re: Most investors think regulation is a good thing on: October 27, 2022, 04:30:44 PM
With this kind of article, It had to be Bloomberg. Not surprised, they are always negative about Bitcoin and crypto in general.

The problem is that masses tend to trust centralized and custodial services where they have to sign up and avoid being responsible with their own money. It why custodial services like Coinbase and blockchain wallet are so popular among new users and noncustodial wallets like Electrum less popular. Some people just don't want to go an extra mile.
Bloomberg although notoriously being a hater of bitcoin actually had a fair point in this one, at least to some degree. Regulating bitcoin or cryptocurrencies for that matter warrants more sophisticated systems of security that would then force scammers and hackers to be very tricky to get the upper hand in this cat and mouse game. Besides that I don't think there's any other benefit one could get from a centralized cryptocurrency regulated by an authoritative power like the governments.

Regulating crypto will make common man stay out of crypto while the big whales and influencers will keep on getting bitcoin and making the general public more difficult to get bitcoin. A famous youtuber Davincij15 told about these views in his current video ALTCOINS WILL EXPLODE SOON!!!!.
After seeing the views in this video about regulation, i am just confused whether regulation of crypto is good or bad for crypto  Huh There may be few good things about regulation while there are some drawbacks for crypto regulation also.
1676  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Question to players: what does really drive you crazy in an online casino? on: October 27, 2022, 03:52:15 PM
KYC is the worst thing about crypto gambling sites since it completely goes against anonymous gambling that they promise.

Asking KYC when they find something suspicious etc makes sense since these are valid reasons, but some sites provide these excuses when there is actually nothing shady going on in order to try and make the gambler use his/her winnings.

Also, some sites request KYC for crappy reasons like source of funds etc which is messed up if you think about it. This is the craziest part of crypto gambling sites in my opinion.

Yes, KYC is the most unwanted thing which any gambler wants. For me, I have just made up my mind that without KYC we cannot do online gambling so if you want to gamble, you need to do the KYC. As a precaution to safeguard your information you can do KYC and play only at trusted casinos. This will make your peace of mind that your KYC information will not be misused by gambling authorities.

Both Pakistan and Zimbabwe have almost equal strength. Winning the toss and batting, the Zimbabwean team performed well in the beginning. But after a while when the wicket of Zimbabwe fell, the game turned around. Pakistan bowler Haris Rauf brought Zimbabwe's batting into slow motion in a flash. Zimbabwe made 130 for 8 in 20 overs, giving Pakistan a target of 131 runs. So far Pakistan has collected 71 runs by losing 3 wickets in 12 overs. There is intense tension in this match
I couldn't agree with you. Pakistan and Zimbabwe can never be the same or approximately same. There will be big distance between the two teams. Pakistan belongs to one of the big teams in cricket and the other has been surviving for a long time in the game. So two teams can never be equal. Pakistan took an easy win against Zimbabwe.

Yeah, the two teams have no comparison but if we see the current match its even for both teams. This means that in this match Zimbabwe has shown some great performances. Regardless of whether they win or lose today, the Zimbabwe guys are trying their best to make a match out of it. Really nice bowling by Zimbabwe to not let Pakistan make 130 runs easily.
Pakistan may win this match now, but they should have won by a big margin. They need 11 runs from the last over. Anything is still possible.
