1682  Economy / Speculation / Re: There will be more down - bearish on BTC on: October 25, 2022, 02:25:29 PM
As previous trends , logically.

we had our BTC top 1 year back(69000$). So after one year we can not expect another ATH going to happen. Market need sometime for next momentum. Even other markets too.

If we guess that we can expect next market preparation  after next halving ,. Hence , we have exactly 1 year and 5 months.

Clearly can see consolidation area in next year(2023). So definitely we can grab , more buying opportunities rather now.

We had Bull market , Now we are at the end of the bearish momentum. Consolidation area is incoming.

This is my market reading. I know everyone does have different opinions. Lets share

Bitcoin is bearish at the moment, but it is still holding the 18K support although we had touched this support a number of times. It is just a matter of time before this support will be broken and bitcoin may reach 14-15K level.

Bitcoin is behaving exactly as it should be and i am sure the bitcoin bottom for this year will be very near. However, people are excited on the 500 or 100$ bitcoin pump when they should know that in Marco we are bearish and therefore the short trade can be more profitable as compared to the long trades.

Both Aaron Finch and David Warner seems to be struggling against the Sri Lankan bowlers. And at this point, it is the pacers who are in the attack (Lahiru Kumara and Chamika Karunaratne). I don't have much hopes from the Lankan pacers, and is more interested to see how the Australian batsmen will fare against the spinners. BTW, the Lankan keeper is doing a poor job, and has conceded a number of byes. I could see the frustration in the face of Lahiru. BTW, waiting for the introduction of Wanindu Hasaranga and Dhananjaya de Silva. The outcome will be decided by the Lankan spinners.

In order for Srilanka to win this match, they need to take consistent wickets throughout the match. The target is not so big but at the same time, it is not so small.
A score of 150-160 is something that both teams will reckon that they can win this match. A partnership for Australia can take them to victory while one or two quick wickets for Srilanka can make them feel good in the match.
1684  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I made a mistake shorting BTC at 17k on: October 25, 2022, 09:33:27 AM
I've been holding BTC since 2020. 2 weeks ago when inflation data came out saying core CPI went up a lot i sold my BTC at 18,000$.At first it seemed i made right choice since stocks went almost -3% premarket and i thought we're gonna have final capitulation in both stocks and BTC, that it will go down to 13-15k.

Well when market opened everything just went up, ended like almost +3% at the end of the day. It was the perfect explanation why you shouldn't time the market. I made a huge mistake and i really refuse to buy BTC at now higher price.
It really seems BTC bottomed at 17.5k and stocks(SP 500) at 3480.

Now market is pumping like crazy, its obvious we won't go back to 18k or below.
Good luck to all, i hope you're smarter than me

Isn't strange that you are holding bitcoin since 2020. This means you did not sell anything in the 2021 bull run. Bitcoin was at 60,000$ , 50,000$ and even at 30,000$ you still not sold. I wonder why u become so panic at 18'000$ and sold everything?
Didn't you have believed the bitcoin will again go to all time high in its next bull run. You have held bitcoin for 2 years, you could have held them for another two years.

Testnets are quite a good experience, if you ask me. It gives a win-win situation for everyone concerned here. Why? You get to use a new start-up products and test it's integrity, and you may be rewarded with some profitable tokens. Quite a good one

Previously the project used to give airdrops to their user who download their wallet or if they share the project on social media (they still do them now) but testnet is a new thing that is becoming popular with the projects. Also, many testnets does not promise that you will get the real tokens when the launch of the coin, but usually the teams will reward you with token/coins if you have participated in test net.
1686  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Launch of Ghost Electrum on: October 24, 2022, 11:36:30 PM
We are very excited to announce the launch of Ghost Electrum!

This is a lightweight wallet that delivers speed and security right from your Android device! Users can download the official Ghost Electrum App directly from the Google Play store here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.ghost.ghostelectrum&hl=en_US&gl=US

This is not from the official Electrum team. Right?
I have no confidence in using or recommending this wallet to anyone. If it is not from the official Electrum wallet, why would you use the name Ghost Electrum in the wallet name? Just to confuse and attract the customers  Huh

Will like to hear views and feedback from other members of this forum about this wallet.

Bangladesh vs Netherlands, 17th Match, Super 12 Group 2 has started. In this match Netherlands has won the toss and decided to bowl. Now Bangladesh is batting but Bangladesh has lost 2 wickets so far.  Bangladesh scored 57 runs in 8 overs. Najmul Hossain Shanto scored 25 runs off 20 balls. And Soumya Sarkar scored 14 runs off 14 balls.
It is absolutely foolish to expect the victory of the Bangladesh team from the performance that the players of the Bangladesh team are showing.  Bangladesh team's opener batting Liton Das has already departed.  Nazmul Hasan Shanto collects 25 runs off 20 balls.  Shakib Al Hasan, who is the hope of Bangladesh team, left the match today after collecting 9 runs from 7 balls.  Such a game is not what one would expect from a good player.  So far the team run of Bangladesh team is...
93/5 (13.3)

Despite all the odds, the Bangladesh team managed to win this match. At one stage I also thought that Bangladesh would not make enough runs but they still managed to get 144 runs.

Ireland did not bat well and could not chase this small score. All of them bowled out quickly except Colin Ackermann who made 62 runs, but he cannot win the match alone. He did not get any support from the other end. Taskin took four wickets in this match and got the man of the match.
1688  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Bitcoin and crypto currency experience. on: October 24, 2022, 02:01:08 AM

My experience:
There's a high level of security. Crypto currencies are not always affected by inflation in the market and very volatile in nature. The convenience of trading at anytime and the easy made of crypto currency liquidity across multiple exchanges. There's equality and fairness on either sides of the market. It's always a win-win situation whether you're buying or selling if you know what you're doing. And there's also a high level of transaction freedom.

Please feel free to share your experiences with Bitcoin and other Crypto currency

Your post isn't clear as to how you got the experience of cryptocurrencies. Did you invest in them or did you trade them?
Whatever the case, i hope you are among those holders who are happy to be part of bitcoin in particular and cryptocurrencies in general.

To.Nick bro i don't know how but your account is registered on 20 October 2022 and you are on the 23rd sharing your experience for Bitcoin seems weird. May that it can be your Atl account or maybe you are new on BTT.
There are many possibilities why are you sharing this post.

Basically, you don't need to be a part of bitcointalk in order to know about bitcoin. You can still use bitcoin and may not know about bitcointalk. I think OP is an experienced bitcoin user, but he seems to be new to this forum.

History was written on 24 October 2021 and History will repeat itself today i.e 23 October 2022.  Cool

History did not repeat this time and the Pakistan team did not play well and lost to the mighty Indian team.
Also, last year was the only time where Pakistan was able to beat India and in all of the world cup matches, it was India who always dominated Pakistan. So we can conclude that one Pakistan win in 2021 WC was just a Missed Call and nothing else.

Anyways i do not want to spoil your mood so many congratulations to You and Indians on a cheated Win  Wink

I hope you have heard the story where the fox unable to get the grapes and satisfy him by saying "Grapes are Sour".
In the modern day, your statement reflects the same emotions Cheesy
1690  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which meme coin is your favourite on: October 23, 2022, 04:23:07 PM
if i prefer shiba inu to be an investment, because the shiba inu community is big, and there are a lot of shiba inu fans and i think the price of shiba inu in the future will definitely be good. and shiba inu's rating in CMC, very good i.e. 15th.

We are in a bear market, and it seems that all the meme coins are dead. I am not following any meme coins as of now except dogecoin and Shiba Inu. There is a lot of development being made in these two coins and there is some game development also in progress in Shiba Inu.

I always believe that we should have one or more Meme coins in our portfolio as these may give good returns in one way or other. Currently, i am accumulating both of these coins as i will get good returns once they reach their all time high in next bull run.
1691  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin is due for a big break on: October 23, 2022, 03:55:55 PM
It's been undervalued and passed over by many pump and dumps over the years. It's a solid alt coin to use alongside Bitcoin.

Accepted more places than any other crypto, Litecoin is one of the few altcoins that I actually use.

It's low fee, fast confirmations and 2nd oldest crypto. Can't go wrong in my opinion.

No doubt litecoin is due for a big break but why only litecoin? Almost all of the good altcoins are very down on their support levels, and they would bounce back hard once the bitcoin recovers. I don't think this would happen anytime soon as we are still in a bear market and the bear market low is still pending.
Anyways Litecoin is a good coin and this is a good time to accumulate more of Litecoin at current prices.
1692  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency and Gambling on: October 23, 2022, 08:04:22 AM
Many people still think of cryptocurrency as gambling. While gambling relies on chance, cryptocurrencies rely on arithmetic and cryptography.

Given the parallels between cryptocurrency and gambling, this makes sense. Both are fast-paced, the value of crypto is unpredictable.

Cryptocurrency is chance-based, rooted in exceptional circumstances like influencer opinions, values might drastically change.

And both crypto and gambling (online gambling) are accessible all day and night.

There is no link between Gambling and cryptocurrency. Gambling was there when there was no crypto and people used fiat money to gamble. Even today there are many online and offline casinos where you can play with fiat. Cryptocurrencies just made it easier to deposit and gamble.
Just like crypto helps fast, cheap, and effortless transactions, many businesses can adopt crypto payment and can get a lot of benefits.

History has just been written.

Pakistan Won the Match Against India in the T20 World Cup by 10 wickets

History was written on 24 October 2021 and History will repeat itself today i.e 23 October 2022.  Cool

I hope none of you forget the humiliating defeat of the Indian team by 10 wickets which still refreshes our minds.

This match is too much important, especially after the statement from the Indian camp that there are afraid of the Pakistani team and will not be willing to come to Pakistan in 2023 to face another defeat in the Asia cup.

India is not coming to Pakistan to play in the Asia cup because of security reasons. There is no statement by the Indian cricket board that they are not coming because of the fear of loss. This is just a vague argument and has no basis.

You can argue that since other teams like Australia & England can visit Pakistan so what is wrong with India? Well, you being a local citizen should know better that the hatred for Indians in Pakistan is far more as compared to Australia or England.

So can see the hate which you spread between the two teams, so think about the players who will surely hesitate to visit each other country.
The two teams' political situation is quite tense and that is the reason it is better to play the tournament at a neutral venue.
1694  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why there is so much resistance at $23k price on: October 23, 2022, 04:25:31 AM
Bitcoin market prices have witnessed a lot of resistance and several attempts to make a head up the price of $25k after several weeks of a downtrend, there have been a lot of speculations surrounding the present market situation. But with the right thought and analysis, I am sure if Bitcoin could break the present resistance price moving upward would be that hard anymore.

For this to understand, you need to know about the support and resistance and be able to find them on the bitcoin chart. If a price remains over a certain price and bounces from a certain price many times, it becomes support. Meaning there are many buy orders at that price point and as soon as the price comes in that region, it bounces back up.
Similarly, if a price is rejected from a certain price, it means that at a certain price point, there are too many sell orders and when the price reaches at that point, people will usually sell their bitcoins.
1695  Economy / Speculation / Re: What’s going to make Bitcoin turn from a downward to an upward trend? on: October 22, 2022, 11:21:39 PM
I agree Bitcoin can go to about $12000 - $15000 downwards. Check out this link for what’s going to make it turn to an upward trend again. I think this is the most accurate answer I’ve gotten so far
https://www.instagram.com/reel/Cjo7KL3LMxu/?igshid=NDRkN2NkYzU=

Everyone has their own opinion, and no one knows exactly how low bitcoin can go. Usually what the majority of the people thinks, bitcoin never does to that value. I remember that in 2020, when bitcoin reached around 3800$, people were antecipating 1000$ too but it never reached that value.
This time people are looking for 12,000$ to be the ultimate bottom. I think either bitcoin will not reach this value or it may fall even further to 8000$ (which is more unlikely to happen) and make the final bottom for this market.
1696  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How important are exchanges? on: October 22, 2022, 11:07:05 PM
Bitcoins can exist without exchanges, but would you support the argument that the existence of exchanges are among the factors facilitating the popularity and accessibility that people have to bitcoins?

Exchanges are for trading and i can't imagine how the altcoin will be valued with the exchanges. If we do not have any exchange, we cannot buy sell altcoins, making them worthless. The crypto currencies eco system resolves around exchanges and hence it is difficult to eliminate this major part.

Secondly, there are other features lke P2P, buying selling crypo and staking of coins at the exchanges, making them a must for crypto investors. I don't think anyone would be holding bitcoin and do not have an account on any crypto exchange. Some people even do the mistake of using exchange for storing their long terms assets on the centralized exchange.
1697  Other / Meta / Re: Ban Appeal For NoorulHuda. on: October 22, 2022, 07:00:54 PM
and this strategy is working? Isn't it? If their camping requires them to have x merits must be collected, then WO is an easy place to get some, just copy paste shit from the internet and leave it to WOs.

Maybe it's time to change the rules in WO, since we already have boards that have restrictions in relation to rank (Serious discussion), I think that the minimum requirement for a post in that board should be Member rank, or even better 100 earned merits. As this is certainly not something that will happen, the number of those on my ignore list increases exclusively every time I visit WO.

It will change nothing from my point of view. Also, I have seen some of those posters spammers in that local thread who are members and full members and still flooding the WO with images and Twitter posts. It is because they have got the habit of getting merits from WO thread and this habit won't change even after reaching higher ranks.

The only way to discourage this is not to give any merits to any post which have zero effort and is just a copy paste of Twitter and telegram posts.
1698  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best wallet for altcoins ? on: October 22, 2022, 06:46:22 PM
Throughout the years I have just been holding bitcoin and ethereum in a non-custodial wallet but now I have decided to diversify my portfolio.
There are a lot of potential altcoins out there and I have picked up a few. Storing altcoins on an exchange id obviously not the right thing to do.
While I know that hardware wallet would be the best place to store altcoins I want to know other options as well.

Thinking about long term perspective.

1. For now, I have been thinking to store them on a non-custodial wallet but then again which wallet should it be ? My choice would be Exodus but let me know which one is best.
2. Would it better to store different altcoins in different wallets or decrease the hassle of maintaining different wallets and settle down with just one with all the coins.

I would go for Exodus and trust wallet. Both of them are good wallets and you can have a piece of mind storing your coins in those wallets. Of course hardware wallets are better than these software wallets but if you do not want to spend extra money on hardware wallets, these two wallets are best as of now.

Exodus is closed source which means you never really know what goes on since it's only the team who has complete control of the codes. You have to put your complete trust into them that they won't make a mistake or f*ck up in the long term. Are you willing to take that risk? At least go for open source.

You can have a long debate on whether the open-source wallet is better or the closed-source one. With the closed source wallet the team can misbehave at any time but with oen source all the hackers keep on exploiting the code to find any loophole and take advantage of it. At least hackers can't see and try to manipulate with the closed source.
1699  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: October 22, 2022, 01:56:44 PM
14th match of Super 12 Group 1 ICC T20 World Cup. England won the toss and decided to bowl. England's rebounding performance looks pretty good. England bowlers' balls. Afghanistan's batsmen are not able to play at that speed. Afghanistan scored 91 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 15.3 overs. I think Afghanistan will not give England a big target. If Afghanistan batsmen can play good short in the remaining overs. Then Afghanistan's score will come to roughly one position. Let's see how much Afghanistan can score in the end

This is not the 14th match of the super 12, this is just the 2nd match of the super 12. Previously we had group matches and the top two teams from each group made it to the super 12.

Although Afghanistan did not bat well, but they are not letting England win easily. England still needs around 5 runs per over while ideally, they should have finished the match by now. Afghanistan bowlers and fielders are making sure, that England does have to work hard for each and every run. If Afghanistan had 20 more runs with them, the match could have resulted in Afghanistan's favors.
1700  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Not all new Projects are bad, So take the Risk on: October 21, 2022, 11:00:17 PM
I came across a post where an advise was ditch out
for newbies like myself not to get involved in new projects,
due to the risk that follows.

But with all honestly, Some project with 3 to 7 months old have one time becomes Scam, Good  example is OKS CHAIN. The project was over 2 years old, yet end up being scam, as the CEO and other dev cart away with so much money. And abandoned the project.

My experience tells me that everything involves around crypto project, Is about risk, except for the president of them all ( Bitcoin ), The vice ( Ethereum ) and the child ( Binance ). Investing in any of these 3 gives risk free system. As they say experience is the best teacher in life.

So i strongly disagreed with the term of " do not invest in a brand new project " to be risk free. A lot of new project has yielded x50
of my investment to me most of the time, What i usually do, Once they're up, i take off with my investment and interest. This is my experiences.
And i strongly believes by doing this, Will yield high success to everyone and also helps you to minimize the risk of lossing all your funds.

Yes, some of the new projects are also good ones too but how will you differentiate between a good project and a scam project at an early stage like the ICO etc ?

It is not easy to distinguish between good and bad projects unless you wait for the project to be established but by that time the price of a good project is already very high so you might not be able to get the advantage of early investment. You might take risks with very limited money in new projects so in case the project turns into a scam you won't lose much.
